Exclude free of charge in available stock.

Hi,
Currently in our system, every sales order created decreases the materials quantity available to sell (before delivery is done). On many occasions we have created free of charge sales orders, which a customer is required to collect within a specified period of time. During this time, the stock of the FOC orders can not be used.
The free of charge order type (ZFD) has been defined for this type of orders.
Is there a way to stop free of charged sales orders from consuming stock until collected (delivery/bill is completed).
Any help would be appreciated.
Nicholas

Nicholas,
Am assuming ATP check is active in your system at sales order level. for the FOC, de-activate the TOR(Transfer of requirements) at sales order level and keep in active only at delivery level. You might choose to have different item categories and schedule line categories for FOC and hence can de-activate TOR check at Sales Order level for FOC orders.
check tcode OVZ8.
Or alternatively, you can develop a custom routine in requirements for Transfer of Requirements which filters your FOC orders in tcode OVB8.
Regards,
Raghu.

  • Free of charge Item determination in SO with cost and revenue transfer

    Hi,
Please guide me on the followings.
I have a following requirement for determining the free goods in the sales order .We have two plants
    1.     Plant 1 is for valuated materials
    2.     Plant 2 is for Free of charge Items
Free of charge items which are given to the customers are supplied by the vendors and stored in the plant meant for the Free of charges items. But sometimes when free of charge items are not available in the stock then user take FOC item from the plant which is meant for the valuated materials and send it to the customers as a free of charge item.
User wants to transfer the cost of the FOC item to the main item when FOC material is taken from the valuated plant and sent to the customer.
Similarly  when there is no stock of material in the valuated plant then user take the same material from the Plant2(Non-valuated) and send the material to the customer. In this case user wants to have the revenue posted in the respective  G/L  Account.
But it should also appear as a free of charge items in the billing document.
    Regards
    Rahul

    hi,
transfer of cost from sub item to main item is configured in the delivery to billing copy control for the main item. go to VTFL  > select the required item cateogry > here at the bottom you will find a check box Cummulate cost. Tick it.
Not really what you meant COPA purposes. But the pricing conditions are mapped to COPA value fields at KE4I transaction.

  • Scheduling agreement - free of charge item

    Hi Community,
how can I purchase a "free of charge" item via a scheduling agreement?
In a purchase order the "free of charge" indicator is available, but I can't find anything similar for SAs.
Currently I've set the price field as display only in a custom screen layout, but I am pretty sure this is not the proper way to do it and I get a warning every time I create an SA.
    Thanks,
    C

You can create intracompany scheduling agreement without price, you have to use document type "LU". Before using document type "LU", you have to make sure below configuration is in place.
In the "Set up Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement" nodes, you have configured following IMG nodes
"Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule"--- In this IMG node assign assign delivery type for document type "LU"
"Assign document type"--- In this IMG node assign document type "LU" between supplying & receiving plant.
I have done this with one client and it is working fine.

  • Moving average price in case of goods receipt with free of charge

    Hello everyone,
    Need some inputs......
Sometimes we receive materials from suppliers free of charge (e.g. warranty replacement) u2013 moving average goes down u2013 worst case 0,01 EUR/piece. This causes problems in government reporting and export documentation EX1 and clearance/pro-forma invoice) for deliveries to field engineers (Order type ZIS1, ZIS3 u2013 item cat. ZICA), because moving average price is used for the values in government reporting and on the invoices. In government reporting and on invoices we need to state a true value of the part.On the other hand, the value warehouse stock is depending on the moving average cost as well.Could you please let me know, how to handle such receipts from the supplier to have a correct stock value and correct values on invoices and government reporting?
    Thanks
    Deepthi...

    Hello Deepthi,
It depends on your company policy. If you want to valuate the material along with the material purchased handled in moving average price, free consignment will bring down the MAP for the material.
In that case, you can revaluate the material to the original price in MR21 transaction.
If you are not going to handle the materials received free of charge along with the purchased material, you can go with another material code, with non valuated material type.
But i guess, no company will be asking for another material code. So go for revaluation after the receipt of free consignment.

  • Free of charge demo goods

    Hi All,
I have an issue that when you do free of charge demo goods how can we track wheather customer has return the goods or not.
    Thanks
    Arun

    Hi
Why do you want to change the ownership of the demo pieces. If you do the free of charge delivery, the company is going to lose the ownership of the piece. Why don't you consider using the CONSIGNMENT concept for this demo pieces. The stock will be maintained as special stock and whenever it is returned, will be added to the plant stock.
    Thanks,

  • Free-of-charge subsequent delivery

    Hi experts,
"If the customer is to receive replacement goods, do not create a credit memo. You can enter a reason for rejection for the appropriate items in the return. You then create a free of charge subsequent delivery with reference to the return in order to send the replacement goods to the customer. "
    (It comes from SAP help
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/70/a7853478616434e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm).
Got some questions about the above. Pls help to solve. Thx.
Q1: Does the process match SAP statement above, sales order -> outbound delivery -> invoice -> return order (to be rejected after PGR for return delivery) - return delivery (PGR) - free of charge subsequent delivery (to be created with reference to return order) - delivery (no invoce to be created)?
Q2: If the process is correct, how can the financial balance the value of returned goods, sales cost? Is it through the replacement goods? In my previous understanding, it's the must to create credit memo because return delivery has PGR.
Q3: What order type is used for free of charge subsequent delivery? It seems SAP help mentions FD while some one mentions SD.

    Hi Cathy,
    >Q1: Does the process match SAP statement above, sales order -> outbound delivery -> invoice -> return order (to be rejected after PGR for return delivery) - return delivery (PGR) - free of charge subsequent delivery (to be created with reference to return order) - delivery (no invoce to be created)?
    > (to be rejected after PGR for return delivery) -
    What does this mean???
    Std Process is
Sales Order - Delivery - Invoice - Return Sales Order (wrt sales order / billing document) - Return Del. (wrt Return Sales order ) - PGR - Credit Memo wrt Return Sales Order
OR  (If not to create credit memo)
Free Of Charge Sub. Deli. Doc. (which is sales doc.) wrt Return Sales Order / Original Sales Order - Standard Deli.(LF) - Proforma Invoice
    >Q2: If the process is correct, how can the financial balance the value of returned goods, sales cost? Is it through the replacement goods? In my previous understanding, it's the must to create credit memo because return delivery has PGR.
It is not must to create credit memo unless the customer has asked for.
Eg. if you have sold material worth Rs. 100/-, invoice is created. Here customer a/c is debited. Now, you do return sales order - return delivey. Till return delivery, no accounting posting take place as far as customer is concerned. (Material doc is created after PGR and then a/c doc is created where cost of goods is posted) So after PGR, if the cust wants, either you can create Credit Memo where you return the money (in this case Rs.100) to customer that he has already paid or you deliver the material free of charge.
Only in case of Credit Memo, accounting takes place where customer a/c is credited. So there is reverse posting
For free of charge del. there is no accounting posting taken place
    >Q3: What order type is used for free of charge subsequent delivery? It seems SAP help mentions FD while some one mentions SD.
Both these Sales Doc. types are available in Std SAP system
SD - is used for Subsequent Delivery Free of Charge that is created wrt Return Sales Order / Billing Document
FD - is used when you want to give any free sample to the customer. Therefore it does not have any reference
    Hope you get some inputs

  • Free of charge item tax calculation

    Hi all
I have a requirement for VAT calculation for free of charge item in sales order.
For these items (item category TANN) with VPRS for internal price condition and MWST for VAT tax condition i'm able to calculate the value for VAT accounts purpose.
Is there any exit that enables me to create this? Will it be in SD invoice registry?
    thanks in advance

    Hi
If you are asking whether the congiguration is possible it is certainly possible in standards itself with alignment of condition types
Normally we will place condition type MWST after R100
In this case MWST should be placed before R100
It is the same as suggested by Mr. Murali but the important thing which he missed out is After placing R 100 after MWST you have to Fill up FROM and TO for condition type R100 excluding the step nos of MWST
    Suppose PR00 is step 10
Then it should be MWST Step 20
Then R 100 step 30  For this R100 you should fill up from and to as 10 and 10
Now when a material is Rs100 and 10 + 1 free is there and if the order is for 10 units and if the tax ix 4 %
then the nett value will be Rs 1000(10x100)
tax value will be Rs 44 (tax is calculated for 11 units at 4%)

  • Available stock report with confirm order quantity

    Dear,
Is there any report which gives -
Available Stock - Sales order confirmed = Free stock.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

    Hi,
Yes, you have to develop a mass-MD04 like transaction. But please consider that several factors influence the available qty (planning startegy, procurement proposals, etc).
The available changes with time as well - I mean you may get different available stock levels if you check MD04 for this day and for next Wednesday because there might be e.g. requirements between the two.
    remark:
Stock - SO quantity = Available qty > As I mentioned this may be not true since this rule doesn't consider the whole planning situation.

    Csaba

  • Free of charge Sales without Billing

I have configured Free of charge sales. I am having three sales organization (ZA01 / ZA02 / ZA03). • Free of charge item processing - France business requirement

    Hi,
For free of charge sales, the net value of an item is made to zero using free item category in the sales order and the billing with zero value is released to accounting.
One of the requirements for France is for Free of charge items, though the value of the product is zero, the relevant tax codes needs to be transmitted from SD to FI so that the tax value(zero) + tax code details will be available in the VAT reporting.
It looks the OSS notes 34526 - Delivery free of charge and value-added tax provides recommendation to resolve the above requirements. Have anyone implemented the solution based on this OSS note or used any other approach? The condition type Z002 provided as example in the note, reducing value of the net value instead of negating tax value.
    Appreciate any feedback on this.
    Regards,

Thanks for responding. Below are my responses,
How ( with which tables and fields ) you are developing VAT report in FI?.Why I am asking is,with tax code only we can track the tax amount in FI level. If the tax code related data is zero then how and what based on can we get that data in FI level to develop a report?.
I consulted the same with FI colleagues and per their response, an entry has to be made in the BSET table in order for the VAT report to populate the relevant tax code and values. As mentioned in the caption of the thread, it is for our French business requirement. Our business users indicated that when a product is sent as delivery free of charge, they wanted to show the details in VAT reporting (I am not an VAT expert, and not an expert with French laws). We have added tax codes for relevant taxes, including zero tax and followed the recommendation provided in the OSS note that I have mentioned earlier.
Why dont you want to develop a VAT report in SD module ?.Do you have any issues over there ( in SD ) ?
Our requirement is NOT to develop the VAT from SD module, however FI folks asked to pass the tax code/tax value from SD transactions (billing document to FI). Hence I raised this thread in SD area to see whether anyone has accomplished a solution for this similar requirements.
    Thanks,

  • Sales Return - Subsequent delivery free of charge.

    Dear Gurus,
    Scenario:
We had sent some quantity of material say M1 to our cutomer.
Customer has paid for those quantity. Now, customer has returned the goods for some more modifications which needs to be done and send back to customer free of charge.
How can i receive the goods in my stock and despatch to customer again ?
    Please advise.
    Shailesh Panchal

    Hi,
Make a sales order without reference and add all required details like material ,qty, customer code etc.
then select item category as TANN-free of charge item. but you need to maintain pricing procedure accordingly.
Make a return delivery and issue credit note accordingly through VF01.
This will help to accept free goods and issuing CN with ZERO value.

  • Item category TAK - free of charge

    Hello!
We use item category TAK, but now face the request to send TAK items free of charge.
Normally i would use order type FD, but this has no assigned item category for "0001 make-to-order"
No item category available (Table T184 FD 0001  )
Now i wonder how to continue correctly.
In the order there's TANN as a free of charge variant for TAN
in order type FD, there's item category KLN (only for "normal lines"!?)
Do i need to set up a "Z"- item category or is there any standard that i don't find / understand!?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
    Regards
    Markus

    Hello,
you shoud create a Z* item category as copy of the TAK, but without billing relevance (like KLN).
On top of that, all the customizing item-level relevant, should be the proper mix of both the items used as reference (i.e. the incompletion rule of your Z* item should have the NETWR field in the incompletion procedure).
    Best regards,
    Andrea

  • PO with FREE of charge position - goods receipt change the average price

    Hi Experts,
in our SAP system we have a special situation concerning the PO with free of charge (FOC) items.
We set the flag "Free" in the PO position for all FOC items. When we book the good receipt for these FOC items SAP creates no accounting document and the average price is changing.
for example: 1 pce is on stock with the value 100; we receive 1 pce for FOC
    new average price: (100 + 0) / (1 + 1) = 50
this is a big problem for us.
for us - the goods receipt for the FOC articles must be with the actual average price (table MBEW) similar to a return goods booking in the SD Module - movement type 653 !
this means for our example: 1 pce is on stock with the value 100; we receive 1 pce for FOC
    new average price: (100 + 100 (acutal average price)) / (1 + 1) = 100
I read a lot of OSS notes and many entries in the forums and I think many other companies have the same problem.
is there any solution possibility to do that in this way?
    thank you for your help
    Peter Lechner

it is logical that the moving average price changes.  if you dont want that, then you either have to have an extra material master for your free of charge stock, or you need to implement split valuation and can then have batches that are not valuated.
But if you have 10 on hand with a value of 20 $, then the moving average is 2$
if you then get another 10 free of charge, then you have 20 on hand with total value of 20$, which just means 20$ div by 20 quantity = 1 $ MAP.
if SAP would not change the MAP in that moment, then the goods receipt is valuated with the current MAP and the total value of your stock increases to 40. but this is then not a free of charge case.

  • I cannot do a GR for UNBW material, Free of Charge, for Intercompany PO.

While trying to do a GR for a UNBW material Free of Charge from an inter-company STO, I am getting the following error msg:
    M7226 = " Update control of movement type incorrect (entry 101 _ X _B)”.
I get the same message by doing the MIGO GR from PO or from MIGO GR from Outbound Delivery.
I checked the table T156S and the required entry is missing:
    Movement Type = 101
    Update Value = blank
    Update Quantity = X
    Special Stock = blank
    Movement Indicator = B
    Receipt Indicator = blank
    Consumption = blank
    Scenario:
Material Type UNBW is Quantity Control Only (No Cost).
The PO Item has Account Assignment 8 (I/C Free of Charge)
The vendor will not charge any cost (Totally Free of Charges)
The field FREE is checked in the PO item
    Note:
If in the GR/MIGO I enter a dummy value of $0.01 the document is posted. Of course the value posted is not correct because we do not have to pay anything to the vendor.
I created a Customer Note to SAP, but they insist that the problem is in configuration.
What could be the possible reason and what is the solution for this error?
    Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. I checked that box and it becomes a free of charge item. Now when I do the MIRO that particular line item is missing. And when I do the F2 invoice for the third party order too that line is missing. My requirement is that I should be able to see in the F2 invoice as a free item. This is required for customs purposes.
I have also tried checking the box : " Final Invoice " in the PO for that particular line item. ANd the FREE check box is still there , and the F2 invoice has the free line item but it is showing the std price. I would like to see the price as $0.00.
    Appreciate your help and time
    Thanks
