Do BlazeDS not support all character of UTF-8 ?

Our project use Flex 、BlazeDS 、Java.

I hope you mean you are using Flash CS3? because Flash 3 is from more than 10 years ago and doesn't support AS2 or unicode AFAIK.
Assuming that you are using CS3 and that your XML file is properly saved as UTF-8. Then the usual problem is that the special character has not been embedded in the text field or that the font doesn't have that character.
But first are you sure that the file is saved as UTF-8? I ask because many people have come to these forums and say that their file is UTF-8 and we work on it for a couple of days and at the end they find out that it isn't. Just adding the UTF-8 header tag to a text file does not make it UTF-8. Whatever program that created the file must support proper UTF-8 encoding.
You don't need to do any special escaping or converting the character to html code. If it is unicode just type the character normally. And save your XML file.
The next thing to check is whether Flash is reading the character correctly. You can do this in a number of ways. What I usually do is have the code that reads the XML and then either trace the nodes from the onLoad handler. Or in the test environment I go to the debug menu and "List Variables." That will show all the variables and their value. If the character shows properly in the output window then you know that the file is encoded properly and that Flash is reading it properly and that the problem must be with the textfield and the font embedding.
If the character isn't right in the output window then you know that the problem is with the text encoding.

  • Soundbooth CS3 do not support all formats the other applications does (AfterFX/Prem)

I'm kinda stuck because when I use the function "Edit in Adobe Soundbooth" the sound file will open with right time codes I need in soundbooth. But I get the error message: Open File Failure, file format not supported.
AfterFX & Premiere have no problem with the file, sound and video work. But i notice this file was orignialy generated in Final Cut Pro 6 from a DV tape. So it might have another codec then if it had been imported with Premiere.
How can i add suport for this FCP/Quicktime codec, or find the codec i need. Or is there other ways to work around this without merging all my sound layers? I have 50 sound layers, all from the same DV tape file(.mov).
Will be happy for any response

  • Why does Aperture not support all DNG files?

I have a Leica D-LUX 2 and an Epson RD-1. Both of these cameras create RAW files which are not supported by Apple. Why should the files, when converted to DNG, still require RAW support to be utilized. I understand the wrapper concept, but is this not the idea of DNG. What about cameras that create a DNG file, rather than RAW (i.e. the new Leica M8).
    Thanks,
    Ken

    Hi Kenneth,
You're missing the point Karl is making. RAW data is (in essence) proprietary to the camera. All DNG does is essentially encapsulate that proprietary data in a standard format. The data is still proprietary whether DNG or RAW.
By proprietary I mean that the sensor array and sensitivity to light, tonal correction across the gamut all are understood by the camera manufacturer and held as parameters (data) in the RAW or DNG file. It requires specific knowledge to interpret this data into a renderable image. Until such time as camera manufacturers agree that 1 = 1 and 2 = 2, we are stuck with this issue (and ALL our concern of x years from now when nobody supports what is our latest and greatest camera). An API included in Aperture (actually OS X) would at least allow camera manufacturers to write their RAW conversion algorithms and take Apple out of the loop.... as well as take dependence on OS X releases out of the loop too!
    Hope this clarifies.

  • What versions of Macbook Pro do not support all trackpad gestures?

What versions of Macbook Pro don't support gestures for left and right scrolling on the desktop in MIssion Control.
I have several MBPs and to be honest, I can't remember what hardware supports these Lion features.
    Help would be appreciated.
    Regards,

Additional info: there are a small subset of 4,1 MBPs that have the multitouch trackpad.  I have one, purchased in late March 2008, just after Apple announced the feature was added to the MBP.  I can scroll left/right in MC.

  • ZHT16MSWIN950 does not support accents

    Hi,
my database was created with this CHARACTER SET = ZHT16MSWIN950 because it is been used in Taiwan and this is the character set that I found for chinese characters. My application uses accents in the sql sentence, for example:
    SELECT DISTINCT "COBROS_ANTICIPADOS"."F_RECEPCION",
    decode(cobros_anticipados.tipo ,'C', 'Cheque', 'P', 'Pagaré', 'J', 'Caja', 'Transferencia' ) as c_tipoc
    FROM "COBROS_ANTICIPADOS"
when I run my application I get the error ORA-1756 becuase of the accent, If I change the sql sentence and I use
    SELECT DISTINCT "COBROS_ANTICIPADOS"."F_RECEPCION",
    decode(cobros_anticipados.tipo ,'C', 'Cheque', 'P', 'Pagare', 'J', 'Caja', 'Transferencia' ) as c_tipoc
    FROM "COBROS_ANTICIPADOS"
    application does not fail.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the database version is 8.1.7.
I can not change the sql sentence because application is also used in Spain.
How can I change the character set in my chinese database in order to accept accent and chinese characters? Is there any superset for ZHT16MSWIN950?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Mabel

There are two issues here, actually. The first one is that ZHT16MSWIN950 does not support the character 'é'. You should either translate your application, if it is to support Chinese only (Spanish text is of little use on Taiwan, I guess), or switch to UTF8, as suggested by Gunther (AL32UTF8, if you upgrade to some newer version at the same time).
The second issue is with the client settings for you application (NLS_LANG). You application uses literals in one of the Western European character set (WE8ISO8859P1 or WE8MSWIN1252, probably). This is the character set that must be used in NLS_LANG for the literals to be interpreted correctly. If you set NLS_LANG as expected, the character 'é' will be translated to a question mark in ZHT16MSWIN950 and the query will not fail. The result will be 'Cheque', 'Pagare', 'Caja', or 'Transferencia', because ZHT16MSWIN950 has an explicit replacement character for 'é' equal 'e'.
Of course, if you set NLS_LANG to WE8..., then the application will not be able to process Chinese characters. Therefore, to have both, Spanish and Chinese, you need to move the database and the client to UTF8. This will require the source code of your application to be converted to UTF8 as well. Note that you will also need a proper support from the operating system to be able to enter Chinese with the NLS_LANG set to .UTF8 The precise solution depends on the technology framework used by the application (client/server?, 3-tier?, Windows?, Unix?, etc)

It does not support all the smart card. Please somebody let me know wheather I am correct or not. Because I want to make an application which supports all the smart card. • Why does Mail not support read receipts?

I find it hard to believe that there is a single email application that doesn't support read receipts. For me it is a fairly basic feature I would expect any decent Mail application to have.
I am currently in the process of writing an email to a company and I want to make sure they get it - a read receipt is how I want to verify that they've had it. Why does Mail not support this?
If I am going to have to accept that Mail is not the first class application Apple keeps parading around - is there an alternative that offers this and other features I would expect to find in Microsoft Outlook (minus the calendar etc...)?

Outlook uses a Microsoft-proprietary system for "read receipts", so there may be no way Apple could implement it, or there may be licensing fees involved, or Apple may just not feel that it's worth spending the money to implement. Outlook which is designed to work primarily with an Exchange server, so it's in Microsoft's interest to support Exchange features (note that even Microsoft in their own Mac app do not support all the features theydo on Windows).
You can express your interest in this feature to Apple via their feedback pages, if you wish:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
but support for return receipts in any system other than Exchange is very unlikely, since as Matt said it is not part of the Internet email specification and hence not widely supported at all.

    Hi Mani
Are you using any custom module to generate the encoding in PI?
UTF-8 should supported be by JVM.
Is this the first time you are using this system?
Is it happening with all the interfaces or for only this one?
