Exclude "note" field from syncing to plaxo?

Is it possible to exclude the "note" field from syncing to plaxo or google contacts? I want the names and contact information, but not the notes. I keep personal information there. Thanks!

You can uncheck songs in the Library and there is an option for your iPod to ignore them. Connect your iPod, go to Preferences>iPod>Music, tick the radio button "only update checked songs"

Exclude one field from application.cfm loop

i am using a cfloop collection tag in the application cfm file to loop through and remove special charachters from submitted forms for xss protection. I want to exclude one or two fields from this because they are date time fields so can't have all the restrictions all of the other fields can. I am picturing something like

Or the best yet, would be to provide the list you are checking against from sometype of data repository where it is easy to maintain, like a database or configuration or something. But I will leave that exercise to you to figure out.

MIGO_GR fill delivery note field from manual entry in bill of lading

I have to fill header field delivery note from manual entry in bill of lading in tcode MIGO_GR for mopvement type 101.
I searched for the exits and BADI's but header fields are not in changing parameters.
Has anybody worked on automatically filling the delivery note field in MIGO_GR transaction from bill of lading field or a value from database?

Exclude GUID field from tables in tdms transfer.

Hi,
We have been asked chek whether it is possible to exclude GUID fileds from tables in TDMS ERP data transfer.
We ran data replication from ECC to CRM in out pre-prod system, replication populated the CRM GUIDs in ECC. We are going to use pre-prod as sender system for TDMS transfer. GUID field is part of the corresponding object table so the receiver system tables also populated with GUID. What we don't know is how replication behaves when the GUIDs are already populated.
As I know there is a way to set the GUID filed to NULL value in tdms transfer using scrambling rule. The only concern I am having is how this could affect the ISU data in other tables.
Please share your opinions on this.

The "GUID fields" are used to normalize the data and is the key fields for all CRM applications. If you don't transfer those the system will be "empty" because data relations cannot be found.

Exporting Notes field from MS Project to Excel

I have some rather large notes fields in my MS Project file (Project 2003) and when I attempt to export them using the standard utility they are truncated to the first line. I believe there may be a utility (macro) that someone had written that could help
me correct this? I believe I saw this on an older post and I'm not sure it's still being monitored, so I am creating a new thread just in case.

Update: Leo did contact me but for future reference for other user who may read this thread, if you are attempting to export the full text formatting (RTF), that may have applied to the Notes field text, VBA will NOT capture and export the formatting.

Exclude one field from Logical Database's dynamic selection screen

I have a requirement to amend a program to exclude the document number field (bsik-belnr) from the dynamic selection-screen of the logical database KDF(Vendor Database) so that the program will not filter according to the document number.
I have use the below syntax in my zprogram.
selection-screen exclude select-options: doc-no.
However I get syntax error "The addition EXCLUDE is only allowed in INCLUDE DBKDFSEL".

The selection part of the logical database defines input fields for selecting data.
          The runtime environment displays these on the selection screen when you run an executable program linked to the logical database.
          Include called DB<ldbname>SEL.
        SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF VERSION ver TEXT-xxx.

                                                SELECTION-SCREEN END OF VERSION ver.
Defines a selection screen version (with a three-character name ver ). Between BEGIN OF VERSION and END OF VERSION , you can exclude selection screen objects for the version ver , i.e. remove them from the selection screen with SELECTION-SCREEN EXCLUDE.

The radiogroup is based on the deptno.
I specified break on "First and second columns".
This results in the radiogroup also being suppressed on the repeated rows!
Is there a way to suppress only the readonly report fields and show the radiogroup on every row?

Actually, suppressing the radiogroup is fine, but the real problem is that when I check the Sum column for say the SAL column as in

Don't want to sync Address Book "Note:" field

Does anyone know how customize the syncing of Contacts from Address Book so that everything but the "Note:" field is synced?
FYI, I'm syncing to a Palm Treo 700p (Verizon Wireless).

It's not possible to change the conduit field content and label mapping in the iSync Palm Conduit to include additional fields or exclude the Note: field. There is no provision to turn include or exclude data globally, or on a record by record basis.
While you still do not get all of those options with the Missing Sync for Palm OS with the Mark/Space Contacts conduit, you get far better support for categories and groups, contact photographs or icons, additional address fields, a URL and IM address, and more telephone numbers and electronic mail addresses:

Outlook Sync issue - Calendar Note Field not synci...

I recently bough a 6233.
Very happy with the phone BUT for one issue.
I work from two offices and planned to use the phone to carry meeting & appointment data between two computers (syncing both).
When I sync with outlook the large notes field at the bottom of each calendar item is not synchronised. This imho is a vital field.
Searching this forum, I have noticed quite a few others with the same problem. Has this been fixed/rectified?

Nokia PC Suite 6.82.22.0
Outlook 2003 (all the latest updates)

I am just wondering if anything has changed in the year or so since the last posting?
I have recently bought an E61i and I am seeing similar behaviour when I try synchronising with Outlook 2003. I have the latest PC suite installed.
To be more precise:
I can create a notes entry in the calendar item on my PC. It WILL sync to the E61i. But if I edit that field on the E61, it WILL NOT sync back to the PC.
Interestingly though, I can create a fresh calendar entry, put something in the description field and that will sync to the PC. I can edit that on the PC and it will sync back to the E61i. But if I then change it on the E61i it WILL NOT sync back to the PC.
Note that I can change other calendar attributes (eg the meeting time) and that always syncs correctly. It's just the notes that behave this way.
I get the same same behaviour for contacts. I can change someone's phone number on the PC or E61i and it will sync to the other. But changes to the notes field only sync from the PC to the E61i.
Lastly, the story is the same for Outlook notes.
My next step would be a remove/re-install in case something happened. (I used to be using Microsoft ActiveSync for my WM5 device - with the E61i replaced - so maybe there's something left over from that). But before I did that, I wanted to check to see if what I am seeing is expected (ie consistent with others).

Nokia 9300 and Isync of notes field

I just purchsed this phone, hasn't arrived yet, but would like to know if when syncing with a mac, the notes field is also synced. I have a lot of info in my notes field on my mac and it's important that this be transferred to my 9300 when it arrives. After a year and a half with a T-mobile wing windows mobile pro phone that deleted all my contacts whenever I tried to do a sync I am really looking forward to a new operating system and this phone which seems to have a beautiful form factor. So if the notes field from mac contacs I will be really pleased.

You can buy the plugins to make iSync work with your 9300. Yes I know, I wish it was also free, but 9 euro isn't that much. So I bought the plugins and gave it a try. And it worked, I can now sync my 9300 with my mac using iSync. It uses the syncML protocol and therefore does not need to install any applications on your 9300 as it uses the build in syncing tool on the phone.
There is a small bug though that when you sync all day events to your phone or your mac they appear as an event that starts at 00:00 and continues to 23:59 on the same day. In iCal you can then just drag this to the top section of iCal so it looks like an all day event is supposed to (not much effort), on your 9300 it just appears as another appointment so it isn't that bad. (I suppose)
When I spoke to the developers at Nova Media about this, to see if they could perhaps fix it, this is the response I got:
"SyncML is a standard. As long as this standard is not extended and then implemented by Apple, Nokia etc. it can't be changed. Choose now, what you want to live with for the next 1-2 years."

How to exclude specific fields while resetting a form

I am new to LiveCycle. I have created a PDF with 2 pages and it contains 70+ fields (Textfields, drop down, radio buttons, check boxes etc) . I created a reset form button with a click event and when I click it, it resets the entire form. I want to exclude 5 fields from belng cleared. How can I do that?
I have browsed all the forum topics on this and tried this script. ( Posting only few fields but the original script contains all fields)

There are 70+ fields and I have entered all these fields excluding 5 fields which I do not wanted to be cleared. But it clears the whole form.

I figured out how to do it.
The script should be xfa.form.topmostsubform.page1.textfield and it worked.

Funky sync? many new groups with names from Notes field created

I've got a client using Tiger on a G5 iMac, and syncing both with dot mac to a PowerBook, and using PocketMac to a Blackberry (don't get me started about PocketMac and Blackberries.)
Anyway, I figure a sync caused this: today she opened Address Book and about 50 groups with names taken from her Notes field were there (things like "christmas card"). Some of these groups have cards in them, some don't. We had to restore from a backup. We use Backup, and I hope it's smart enough to take care of the sync stuff in the truth database when the next sync happens. I had Backup do a Restore of the entire ~Library/Application Support/Address Book folder.
Anybody seen this before? I'd like to prevent it happening again. Also if there are other files that Backup needs to be told to Restore in case this comes up again, I'd appreciate knowing about that, too.

Sync'd contacts 'notes' field not showing in Outlook

Hey all,
Short version: Our notes fields on contacts is rarely visible in Outlook, but often shows when synced to a device.. Can someone point to something that says how to fix it, or something that says it's not supposed to do so?
Here's the longer version with details...
We use Outlook 2013 and 2010, mailboxes are hosted on our 2013 server and everything is synced via Activesync. I have a local contacts folder in Outlook that is synced to an iPhone. If I modify the Notes field for the contact on the iPhone, it
never shows up on Outlook. If I modify it in Outlook, it never shows up on the iPhone. If I modify it on the iPhone or Outlook, it shows up on an Android. If I modify it on an Android, it shows up on Outlook and an iPhone. Here's the
kicker... No matter what I modify it with, it ALWAYS shows up in Outlook Web Access.
Please keep in mind that I'm referring to a contact in a contact folder in the users' mailbox, NOT a contact from the GAL. We know the difference.
Can anyone clarify what's happening here? I've got a user who's driving me nuts about this and she's high enough in the company that this issue will never "go away" without a satisfactory explanation.

I have a similar issue with my iPhone iOS7 and Outlook 2013:
1) If I add/change a note in Outlook, it will show up in the contact info on iPhone
2) If I add/change a note on the iPhone, it will SOMETIMES show up in the contact info
3) Some contacts on my iPhone have two different "note" fields, one of which does sync, and the other not.
I'm guessing the issue could be that some contacts have that second "note" field which is called something else in Outlook... but what?
