Execute EBS script developed using OpenScript on OTM installed on Linux

Hey Folks,
I am in urgent need to know, whether the functional scripts for EBS developed using OpenScript can be executed using OTM which is installed on Linux, with the default agent being the server. and not by Windows agent ?
Regards,
Nishant

Hi Sandeep
When Playing back from OTM the settings set in OpenScript will not be applied, you need to enter them in the command line text box in, this case you need to enter:
-formsft.startup_timeout n
A full list of commands can be found in the OpenScript user guide in page 293.

Alex

    Hi yellesh,
    If you mean that you want to run your test with bat file, as far as I know, we could call the MSTEST command line.
    set mstestPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE"
    %mstestpath%\mstest /testcontainer:AutomatedUITest.dll  /resultsfile:TestOutput.trx

  • Execute Unix script file using PL/SQL.

    Hi all,
    Is there a way to execute a PL/SQL procedure which call the Unix(AIX) OS script file.
    My version of Oracle is 7.3.
    Thanks.

    As Justin says, Java stored procedures is one way
    else if you dont know Java and are familiar with C,
    then you can create external routines in C
    and use them in procedure.
    Works with 8i and above( I believe)

  • Executing OpenScript from OTM fails-Failed to connect forms

    Hi,
    Iam Sandeep,i've recorded an E-Business Suite script using OpenScript 9.21 and tried to playback the same.While playing back it's failed in the middle,the error was "Failto connect to form after 30000 milli seconds".Later i'd changed the Event Timeout settings from Openscript-->View-->OpenScript Preferences-->Playback-->Oracle EBS/Forms Functional.After this,the playback was successful.Then i tried to execute the same script from OTM,but it failed in the middle.The error which i got from the report was the same which i got in the OpenScript earlier i.e. "Fail to connect to form after 30000 milli seconds" that means it didn't take the updated value in Event Timeout settings of OpenScript,instead it took the default value(For running OpenScript in OTM,I've used the settings which had given in the release notes and also added the same repositories that i've used in OpenScript).i've used the same version of OpenScript and OTM i.e. 9.21 and also both are installed in the same machine.Can anyone help me to solve this error.It's very urgent.
    Thanks in advance

  • EBS script for counting used licenses

    Hello,
    I'm looking for a script to execute on the database aimed at telling me how many licenses are actually used on my EBS.
    As part of an internal audit on licenses, I need to compare what we use in EBS with what we have bought.
    Concerning what we have bought, I have all the contracts.
    Concerning what we use, i'm looking for a method to determine the exact count.
    Ideally, I was wondering if a database script could exist, regarding that all users, employees and so on are stored in the EBS database.
    I was also wondering if a documentation exists.
    Many thanks.

  • Not able to record EBS application using Openscript

    Hi,
    I am new to Openscript.I am using Openscript 9.2.1.0 and when I tried to record the EBS application it's not getting recorded except for the webpage.Please help me out of this.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    I think you must have selected Functional Testing (Browser/GUI Application) to be web while creating a new script. If that is the case then please try this. In OpenScript go to File-> New-> Select OracleEBS/Forms. Click next. Specify a script name and then click finish. Now try recording EBS application.

  • How to execute vb script with out using Remote manager in oim 11g r2

    Hi Currently,
    i have a requirement to execute  vb script (present on a remote machine in which connector server is installed) from oim machine while using Exchange connector (11.1.1.6).
    This can be achieved by using remote manager,but i dont want to use remote manager.
    Hence decided to use Action scripts.
    As per connector configuration,
    i have configured Action scripts in Lookup.Exchange.UM.Configuration lookup definition, by means of three entries
    After Create Action Language      Shell
    After Create Action Target           Resource
    After Create Action File              /home/scripts/Disable.bat
    Disable.bat has the following ,
    Powershell.exe -File C:\scripts\Setup.vbs
    -%Log on Name%
      Exit
    As Setup.vbs is expecting a parameter of log on name, i was providing the same.
    But while creating the user,as this script gets called, getting the following error and hence 'create User' is getting failed.
    Problem while PowerShell execution System.Management.Automation.RemoteException: This task does not support recipients of this type. The specified recipient XXXXXXXXXXX...XXXXX is of type UserMailbox. Please make sure that this recipient matches the required recipient type for this task.
    While provisioning the user to Exchange , i have selected 'Recepient type' as 'User Mail box' explicitly, but still getting the error.
    Please provide any pointers to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance

    As far as I know Oracle and MySQL are two different products.
    Why do you clutter an Oracle forum with MySQL questions?
    If MySQL is such a tremendous RDBMS, like many people state (as 'free' means per definition better),
    why don't you visit a MySQL forum where fellow MySQL aficionados can answer you MySQL questions?
    In short, why don't you stop abusing Oracle forums?

  • Convert to Transaction Class to Use Market Basket Analysis Script (arules) in the Execute R Script Module

    Hello,
    I need to do Market Basket Analysis for my data, and have a working R script when using it in R Studio.  I need to transfer that R script to Azure ML Studio.  I read in another posting that the arules package is pre-installed and that I need
    to use the Execute R Script module since there is not other built-in module/function that does anything similar to Market Basket.  I went ahead and copy-paste my R script into the module with some slight modifications in terms of importing the data.
    I use the R function read.transaction to import and convert my data frame (a csv file) into a transaction class directly from my working directory when using R Studio.  It appears that read.transaction does not work on Azure ML, and yet
    I need my data to be in transaction class for the rest of the functions in arules to work.  Therefore, how do I get around this?
    Thank you.

    Thanks.
    This is my R script:
    library(arules)
    library(arulesViz)
    # Contents of optional Zip port are in ./src/
    #source("src/MOD Targeting MBA ML.R");
    Data = read.transactions("src/data.csv", format = "single", sep = ",", cols = c(1,2))
    itemFrequencyPlot(Data, topN = 37, type = "absolute")
    Baskets = apriori(Data, parameter = list(supp = 0.001, conf = 0.8))
    inspect(Baskets)
    Results = as(Baskets, "data.frame")
    maml.mapOutputPort("Results")

  • Windows Task Scheduler does not execute .vbs script as exptected while using CScript.exe

    We have a .vbs script that reads a source text file, looks for errors, performs a find/replace and then writes a cleaned version of the file to a destination folder.
    When executing the script by manually double clicking on the .vbs file, the script works flawlessly.  But when executing via Windows Task Scheduler using Cscript.exe, it creates an empty, zero byte, text file.  Task Scheduler is set to run
    "C:\Windows\System32\cscript.exe" with the Add arguments (optional): C:\Scripts\myscript.vbs.
    Does anyone know of a way to make it work using the Windows Task Scheduler?
    Part of the Script:
    Sub CheckFilesIntegrity()
    Dim cleanedfile,strLine,outputStr, tempstr, tmpChar, changeTo, companycode, storestring
    Dim ObjFileSys, objFile,objCleanFile
    charArray = Array("-","?", "/", "\", ":", "*", """", "<", ">", ",", "&", "#", "~", "%", "{",
    "}", "+", "_", ".", "a", "e", "o", "s", "h","i","E", "O","P", "S", "p", "=")
     Set ObjFileSys   = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
     Set objCleanFile = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
     Set objFile = ObjFileSys.OpenTextFile(file.name, ForReading, True)
     textfilename = destinationpath & objfilesys.GetBaseName(file) & ".txt"
     Set cleanedfile = objCleanFile.OpenTextFile(textfilename, ForWriting, True)
     ObjLog.writeline "File containing cleaned up data: " & textfilename
     Do while not objfile.AtEndOfStream
         strLine = objfile.ReadLine()
         tempstr = strLine
         If (Left(UCase(tempStr),8) <> "HPAYMENT") Then
          'fix pay now data entry whre record does not have a company code
          If Mid(tempstr, 18,3) = "000" Then
           companycode = Mid(tempstr,32,3)
           storestring = Left(tempstr,17)
           tempstr =Replace(tempstr,"000",companycode,18,1,1)
           tempstr = storestring & tempstr
           storestring = Left(tempstr,31)
           tempstr= Replace(tempstr,companycode,"000",32,1,1)
           tempstr = storestring & tempstr
          End If
          'remove invalid characters and replace them with zero (filler)
       For Each tmpChar in charArray
        Select Case tmpChar
         Case "-","?", "/", "\", ":", "*", """", "<", ">", ",", "&", "#", "~", "%",
    "{", "}", "+", "_", ".", "a", "e", "o", "s", "h","i","E", "O","P", "S", "p", "="
         changeTo = "0"
         outputStr = replace( tempstr, tmpChar, changeTo,1,-1,1 )
        End Select
        tempstr=outputstr
       Next
      Else
       outputStr = tempstr
      End If
        strLine = outputStr
      cleanedfile.writeline(strLine)
     Loop
     cleanedfile.Close
     Set cleanedfile = Nothing
     Set ObjFileSys = Nothing
     Set objFile = Nothing
     ObjLog.writeline " Completed processing of file: " & textfilename
    End Sub

    So we ended up getting it to work by replicating the double click function.  Meaning that we created a Batch file that calls the .vbs script, then had Windows Task Scheduler run the Batch file.  In that way all necessary permissions were passed
    through from one environment to another, which was failing when we called the .vbs script using CScript.

  • How to execute SQL Script using windows powershell(using invoke-sqlcmd or any if)

    OS : Windows server 2008
    SQL Server : SQL Server 2012
    Script: Test.sql (T-SQL)  example : "select name from sys.databases"
    Batch script: windows  MyBatchscript.bat ( here connects to sql server using sqlcmd  and output c:\Testput.txt)
     (sqlcmd.exe -S DBserverName -U username -P p@ssword -i C:\test.sql -o "c:\Testoutput.txt)  ---it working without any issues.....
    This can execute if i double click MyBatchscript.bat file and can see the output in c:\testput.txt.
    Powershell: Similarly, How can i do in powershell 2.0 or higher versions?  can any one give full details with each step?
    I found some of them online, but nowhere seen clear details or examples and it not executing through cmd line (or batch script).
    example: invoke-sqlcmd -Servernameinstance Servername -inputfile "c:\test.sql" | out-File -filepath "c:\psOutput.txt"  --(call this file name MyTest.ps1)
    (The above script working if i run manually. I want to run automatic like double click (or schedule with 3rd party tool/scheduler ) in Batch file and see the output in C drive(c:\psOutput.txt))
    Can anyone Powershell experts give/suggest full details/steps for this. How to proceed? Is there any configurations required to run automatic?
    Thanks in advance.

    Testeted the following code and it's working.....thanks all.
    Execute sql script using invoke-sqlcmd with batch script and without batch script.
    Option1: using Import sqlps
    1.Save sql script as "C:\scripts\Test.sql"  script in side Test.sql: select name from sys.databases
    2.Save Batch script as "C:\scripts\MyTest.bat" Script inside Batch script:
    powershell.exe C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1
    3.Save powershell script as "C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1"
    import-module "sqlps" -DisableNameChecking
    invoke-sqlcmd -Servername ServerName -inputFile "C:\scripts\Test.sql" | out-File -filepath "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt"
    4.Run the Batch script commandline or double click then can able to see the output "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt" file.
    5.Connect to current scripts location  cd C:\scripts (enter)
    C:\scripts\dir (enter )
    C:\scripts\MyTest.bat (enter)
    Note: can able to see the output in "C:\scripts" location as file name "TestOutput.txt".
    Option2: Otherway, import sqlps and execution
    1.Save sql script as "C:\scripts\Test.sql"  script in side Test.sql: select name from sys.databases
    2.Save powershell script as "C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1"
    # import-module "sqlps" -DisableNameChecking #...Here it not required.
    invoke-sqlcmd -Servername ServerName -inputFile "C:\scripts\Test.sql" | out-File -filepath "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt"
    3.Connect to current scripts location
    cd C:\scripts (enter)
    C:\scripts\dir (enter )
    C:\scripts\powershell.exe sqlps C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1 (enter)
    Note: can able to see the output in "C:\scripts" location as file name "TestOutput.txt".

  • Executing powershell script from remote computer using RSAT

    Hi.
    I want to execute powershell script on AD server from remote computer (in the same domain). I installed and tested RSAT - it is working fine. But i cant execute PS from c# code.

    ps.Invoke();
    ps.Commands.AddCommand("Get-ADOrganizationalUnit -Filter 'Name -like \"*\"'");
    var res = ps.Invoke();
     And i get exception:

    Hi
    CapitanPlanet
    For the
    CommandNotFoundException, it means the command cannot be found.
    On the other hand, your issue is about the PowerShell, if you still have the issue, I suggest that you should post it in the

    Here are some useful information, please check

  • Execute script logic using data manager

    Hi all,
    Could anyone explain me how to run a script logic using the data manager?
    The only way I get it working is adding the script logic into the defaul.lgl file and running the default formulas package via data manager.
    How can I run an specific script logic without using the default.lgf file?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ana

    HI Ana,
    You will have to create a SSIS package that will run the logic for you. A good example of this is the ICELIM package that comes standard with AppShell. The easiest is way for me is to copy the package and renaming it to what you want to call it in the following folder: C:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\<AppSet>\<Application>\DataManager\PackageFiles\System Files
    You will then have to organize the package list and add the package and modify the advanced properties of the package and point it to the correct logic file. I always use the lgf file rather than the lgx file, but it is up to you.
    Lemme know if you need more info.
    Regards,
    Andries

  • Capturing various standard errors using openscript

    Hi , we have automized a scenario using openscript where in the steps are like starting from creating requistion --> Req approval --> PO creation and approval --> Receipt Creation --> Invoice Creation and then quick payment.
    when we playback the script it works fine with valid data inputs from databank. But we want to capture all the standard errors if any occurs in between when script playback. For eg : if Invoice batch name entered already exists in system it throws a warning like name already exists. At this step scripts fails but it capturing some error which end user wont understand. By anyway we can capture all the standard errors that can occur during functional testing. I mean we cannot write custom exception for each situation and may not what kind of errors we may face. So is there any way we can capture all the standard errors during functional testing using openscript/OTM. The platform we are using is Oracle Applicaitions ERP R12, open script 12.2

    Enter your codes in try and mention code like following in catch
    try{ }
    catch(Exception e ) {
    String pageindex = web.getFocusedWindow().getAttribute("index");
                if(web.element("/web:window[@index='"+pageindex+"']/web:document[@index='"+pageindex+"']/web:div[@text='Error']").exists()){
                fail(web.element("/web:window[@index='"+pageindex+"']/web:document[@index='"+pageindex+"']/web:div[@text='Error' ]").getParent().getAttribute("text"));
                else if(web.element("/web:window[@title='Oracle Applications R12']").exists()){
                    forms.captureScreenshot();
                        think(2.169);
                String statusBarMessage = "";
                if(! forms.getStatusBarMessage().equalsIgnoreCase("")){
                    statusBarMessage =""+forms.getStatusBarMessage().toString();
                if (forms.choiceBox("//forms:choiceBox").exists()) {
                    fail(" Unexpected choicebox found:- "+forms.choiceBox("//forms:choiceBox").getAlertMessage()+ (!statusBarMessage.trim().equals("") ? (".... \t Statusbar message: "+statusBarMessage) : ""));
                } else if (forms.alertDialog("//forms:alertDialog").exists()) {
                    fail(" Unexpected alertbox found:- "+forms.alertDialog("//forms:alertDialog").getAlertMessage()+ (!statusBarMessage.trim().equals("") ? (".... \t Statusbar message: "+statusBarMessage) : ""));
                } else {
                    fail(" Failed during script playback : " + e.getMessage()+(!statusBarMessage.trim().equals("") ? (".... \t Statusbar message: "+statusBarMessage) : ""));
            else {
                fail("   Failed during script playback : " + e.getMessage());
