Execute one scenario parallel

Hi,
I want to execute tha same Scenario with two diferents source files (w/ async session) in the same time.
The data server is configured to receive the file name (with ODI Variables). When I execute the scenario just a once, that is fine.
but when I try to execute the same scenario asynchronously, An error is raised with the following description "name is already used by an existing object".
This error is raising in create work table step, It is obviosly the LKM is trying to create the work table with the same name in this two sessions.
Does any one kwon how to solve this?
Thanks

Is there a specific reason, you are using FILE to SQL.
What is your SQL database where you are trying to load ? If it is Oracle, then for large volumes of data, LKM using SQLLDR is much better.
Anyways, as Nithesh suggested, duplicate the KM and modify the step 11 "Create Work table" and mark it for Ignoring Errors.
And you will also need to remove the step of Drop Work Table.
However, I think that the truncate table command will have a side effect that if file1 is yet being loaded and file2 has finished loading, then the Truncate table for file2 will also wipe out the remaining records loaded for file1.
Since, each record is being loaded one by one and not as a set, this problem may arise.
There is another approach that may be used, assuming that the SQL database is Oracle. Similar constructs may exist in other RDBMS like SQL Server, but I donot know them well enough.
In Oracle, You can create the temporary table as a "Global Temporary Table"
And replace the step 31 "Drop Work Table" of LKM with "Delete * from table".
So, this will wipe out the records only for the session of file1 and not file2.
Hope this helps.

  • Error when executing a scenario based on Variable type Latest Value

    Hi,
I have created two ODI varaible -
    1) filename of type as "Historize"
    2) id of type as "Historize"
    I have 2 Models -
    1) One is based on FIle Technology with resource name as #CUSTOMER.filename (dynamic filename) (TARGET)
    2) second is based on Oracle technology which contains two relational tables (SOURCE)
I have an interface in which one-to-one mapping is done from source to target.
At the junction of two source tables..i have put a query as "CUSTOMER_PAYMENT.CUSTID=CUSTOMER_DETAILS.CUSTID and CUSTOMER_DETAILS.CUSTID !=(#id)"
    Package:
drag and drop two ODI variables , interface
Connect two ODI variable to interface and define the variable type as "Declare Variable" in the package.
    Define filename as the firststep.
    filename(firststep)-----------------------------
    INTERFACE
    id---------------------------------------------------
It is working fine with java callout and command prompt. It is not working when i invoke it on desginer.

  • Wait for a file and start execute a scenario process

What is the best way to achive: Wait for a file and then once the file in droped...execute a scenario process.
    Sample scenario:
    - Admin user ftp the file to a target directory on Unix (export/home/odi/input/files)
    - A scheduled scenario package will be running/scheduled daily
    - In the above scenario, The first step is to have one OdiFileWait (with options: Dir:/export/home/odi/input/files, File: xxxxx.txt, wait time and loop over..etc)
/* But for some reason OdiFileWait is not waiting/checking for the file presence define in the option. It seems to run immediately without checking the presence of the file and passing it to run the second step) */
    - The second step is the "OdiStartScen" (This will run an interface generated scenario) and since the file doesn't exist as a source to load that this interface uses...its fails.
What's the common practice to accomplish this? Appreciate your feedbacks…
    Thank you

    Update:
I increased the timeout and Pollint setting in OdiFileWait option and its working fine now.
When the file exists (or) ftp within the timeout the process goes to next step (OK). But, say the file doesn't exists and the timeout finished...how do i set a KO to OdiFileWait and stop/complete by existing at that step itself with out failure.

  • Error when executing multiple scenarios with same ProgramID for RFC-JDBC

    Hi,
I am working on the RFC-JDBC scenario.
I see the following error in the dev_jrfc.trc file when I try to execute multiple scenarios which are using same program id (different communication channels).
    RfcException:
message: Commit fault: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcChannelMismatchException: Wrong Sender Agreement:The Sender agreement does not have channel CC_SAP_XXXXX configured for the functionmodule Z_XXXXX_SO_CREATE_CHANGE
        Return code: RFC_CLOSED(6)
        error group: 108
        key: RFC_ERROR_INTERNAL
Can one program id be used for multiple scenarios? Or do we need to create a new ProgramId for each scenario.
Any response will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shyam

    Hello Shyam,
    >>>>>>>>Do you think that I still need to create a new Program Id for each of these processes.
You should not use same program ID for different RFC adapters. It is recommended by SAP (check FAQ's on RFC).
Although technically you can use but it gives you unpredictable behaviour based on connection pool.

  • Subject : Problem with Virtual key figures for one scenario.

    Hi Gurus,
I have implemented Virtual Keyfigures for my Bex report and it is working perfectly bUt for one scenario.
If i give PLANT and MATERIALS in the selection  , The report calaculates the Virtual
keyfigure value correctly But if i give Only PLANT
and NO Materials ( A single plant can have 700 materials also!!), The report executes and after sometime
gives me a messsage " Disconnecting from Server"
I executed the report in RSRT . It gives me this error "exception with the type CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW occurred"
Since the Virtual keyfigure doesnot use Cache memory. Is it restricted by the Physical memory?.  How to overcome this
    problem?
Please let know if anyone faced this issue and resolved It. Any help or guidance is really appreciated.

    Hi Oscar,

       MB03
       WF30

The transaction ZWF70FRI is only working in German settings.
Is it possible to run ZWF70FRI in German settings and remaining in english Launguage settings as part of chaing and test configuration?
    Thanks in Advance
    sreedhar d

    Hi Sreedhar,
My Solution works, when you are executing all the scripts in the same target system.
Create 2 RFC's one for EN and another for DE.
Make the EN RFC as the default one and DE one for the REF of the ZWF70FRI script.
    Like REF ( ZWF70FRI , ZWF70FRI_1 , TARGET_DE ).
    This should work fine..
    Best regards,
    Harsha

but I tried to create a sceduler for the execution where i used the below command

and it is giving me the following error

In the batch File write this way
    cd E:\OraHome_ODI\oracledi\bin
    E:
startscen EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL In case you are providing the values (EXT_DATA 002 GLOBAL) as parameter
then call the startscen this way

  • Transfer ownership data from one scenario to another in HFM

I'm developing HFM Rules for a company that needs to transfer data from one scenario to another. This is so that they can perform What-if analysis on the other scenario. I can transfer the data correctly using the following code:
    'This is in Sub Calculate()
'Check if there is a source scenario and transfer all data if there is
    If HS.Entity.IsBase("","") And HS.Value.Member = "<Entity Currency>" Then
    If Trim(HS.Scenario.UD1("")) <> "" Then
    HS.Clear "A#ALL"
    HS.Exp "A#ALL = S#" & Trim(HS.Scenario.UD1(""))
    End If
    End If
'Check if there is a destination scenario and set the impact status if there is
    ScenList = HS.Scenario.List("", "[BASE]")
    For CurrScen = LBound(ScenList) To UBound(ScenList)
    If Trim(HS.Scenario.UD1(ScenList(CurrScen))) = HS.Scenario.Member Then
    HS.ImpactStatus "S#" & ScenList(CurrScen)
    End If
    Next
If I extend this code to check *HS.Value.Member = "[None]"* and run a calculate on the *[None]* Value Layer, this also copies ownership methods and percentages for the relevant entity. Unfortunately, going to each parent entity and running a calculate for each month is not going to be practical since there are more than 500 entities in this group.
What I want to do is to actually copy ownership methods and percentages automatically if I run a consol. Is there a way to do either of the following:
    1. Set a value for a POV that is in a different value layer?
    2. Trigger a calculate for a different value layer in the rules?

Try posting this to the HFM forum

i hope you have resolved the question.
However there is the note on metalink
"Bytes are too big for array" Error When Inserting Data To A File In ODI [ID 554792.1]
    in which you can read
    Solution
Run the select SQL startement that extracts data directly on the database and examine the data returned to make sure the data is valid and correct.
Check source and target Datastores in both environments to make sure the columns' size and datatype are the same and the target File Datastore's columns size are big enough for the source data.
In Topology, check the File JDBC Driver name and URL in both environments to make sure driver used is the same and the driver property ENCODING is set to the correct value if it is used. The default encoding value is ISO8859_1 which might not be appropriate if the source data is stored in
    a UTF8 database.
Check the Locale values and Encodings used on the different servers.
For example, for Oracle, check the NLS_CHARACTERSET setting in both environments. Take a look at Note 453080.1 for an example on the Locale.
Finally, the ODI File Driver has the following property that can be used to truncate the long data to fit the fields size of the File Datastore if needed:
TRUNC_FIXED_STRINGS=TRUE|FALSE: Truncates the strings from the fixed files to the field size. Default value is FALSE.
TRUNC_DEL_STRINGS=TRUE|FALSE: Truncates the strings from the delimited files to the field size. Default value is FALSE.
For example, if your target file is delimited, you can try:
    jdbc:snps:dbfile&TRUNC_DEL_STRINGS=TRUE
Basically you are mapping a source column longer than tarhet.

    Hi James,
    How are you?
You can't query a file data store so it will error out. You need to build a small logic for that. Please follow the below steps to implement that.
    1. In your source data store just give the resource name as #CBS_PRD_PROJECT.V_FILENAME_D501
    2. Drag and drop that data store as your source in the interface.
    3. Make your variable V_FILENAME_D501 data type as Alphanumeric, Action as Not Persistent.
    4. Drag and drop the twice variable in your package make that as a Declare variable and in the second step make that as Refresh Variable then in the third step your interface.
    5. Generate a scenario out of that and while executing that scenario give the Value as your desired file name, hit enter once you gave, otherwise it wont take the input and make sure that LAST VALUE is UNCHECKED.
PS: You can still do it without Default Value as *<%=odiRef.getSrcTablesList("", "[SCHEMA]/[RES_NAME]", "", "")%>* :)
    Thanks,
    G
