Execute View Obj query in memory mode

Hi anybody,
I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
I have a table upon a filtered View Obj on my page, when I add a new row to View Obj, this row showed in table whereas it must not appear(according to the where clause of View Obj).
As I've understood I should use a View Criteria and set Query Execution Mode to: ' in memory' or 'both' , but I just want to use a View Obj. How can I  do that?
Habib

Hi,
If you want to get In-memory filter.
You should do like
RowMatch rm = new RowMatch("X=2"); // some clause just like where-clause
vo.setQueryMode(ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_VIEW_ROWS);
vo.setRowMatch(rm);
vo.executeQuery();
Thanks

  • SetCurrentRowWithKeyValue - Does this execute View Object Query twice?

    Hi,
I have a View Object for which on the prepare model of the page definition I am executing the setCurrentRowWithKeyValue action.
In the log I see two queries being printed one with Bind Variable of the Key value that I have passed and right next to that I see one more query for the same view object that gets executed without any where clause.
This causes the View Object to execute an open query which is causing performance issue.
Any help/Insight on this problem is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kumar K.

    Thanks for the response.
Solution provided in the thread doesn't prevent the execution but it will not return any rows..But I am just curious to know that is there some thing different done while using setCurrentRowWithKeyValue?
Why should it execute query twice once with Bind variable and next time without the bind variable?

  • Cannot export Financial Report from HTML view to Query Ready Mode

    Hi,
I am opening Hyperion Financial Reports in Workspace in HTML mode. On the bottom right of the report, when I click on "Export in Query Ready Mode", the report does not get transported to excel. Rather, a message flashes for a split-second and disappears. The message is "The address is not valid". Can anyone please advise as to what should I do to get the report in excel? I did notice that there is also File->Export->Excel->Fully Formatted Grids & Texts, but we want to get it in Query Ready Mode.
Version is 11.1.1.3. Thanks for any suggestions.
    ABG

We have resolved this issue. The problem was that Smart View installation/configuration was not complete on the machine which I used to launch report into Query Ready Mode. Once Smart View was fixed, we were able to convert report from HTML view to Query Ready Mode.

We have encountered this issue already two times (every time the critical query is executed).

    Hi,
This does seems to me kind of memory Leak and actually it is from SQL Optimizer which leaked memory from buffer pool so much that it did not had any memory to be allocated for new page.

Can you post complete DBCC MEMORYSTATUS output which was generated in errorlog. Is this the only message in errorlog or there are some more messages before and after it.
    select (SUM(single_pages_kb)*1024)/8192 as total_stolen_pages, type
    from sys.dm_os_memory_clerks

    and
    select sum(pages_allocated_count * page_size_in_bytes)/1024,type from sys.dm_os_memory_objects
    group by type
If you can post the output of above two queries with dbcc memorystaus output on some shared drive and share location with us here. I would try to find out what is leaking memory.
You can very well apply SQL Server 2008 r2 SP3 and see if this issue subsides but I am not sure whether this is fixed or actually it is a bug.

  • Performance Issue Executing a BEx Query in Crystal Report E 4.0

    Dear Forum
I'm working for a customer with big performance issue Executing a BEx Query in Crystal via transient universe.
When query is executed directly against BW via RSRT query returns results in under 2 seconds.
When executed in crystal, without the use of subreports multiple executions (calls to BICS_GET_RESULTS) are seen. Runtimes are as long as 60 seconds.
The Bex query is based on a multiprovider without ODS.
The RFC trace shows BICS connection problems, CS as BICS_PROV_GET_INITIAL_STATE takes a lot of time.
I checked the note 1399816 - Task name - prefix - RSDRP_EXECUTE_AT_QUERY_DISP, and itu2019s not applicable because the customer has the BI 7.01 SP 8 and it has already
domain RSDR0_TASKNAME_LONG in package RSDRC with the
description: 'BW Data Manager: Task name - 32 characters', data
type: CHAR; No. Characters: 32, decimal digits: 0
data element RSDR0_TASKNAME_LONG in package RSDRC with the
description 'BW Data Manager: Task name - 32 characters' and the
                previously created domain.
    as described on the message
Could you suggest me something to check, please?
    Thanks en advance

    Hi,
It would be great if you would quote the ADAPT and tell the audience when it is targetted for a fix.
Generally speaking, CR for Enteprise  isn't as performant as WebI,  because uptake was rather slow .. so i'm of the opinion that there is improvements to be gained.   So please work with Support via OSS.
My onlt recommendations can be :
    - Patch up to P2.12 in bi 4.0
    -  Define more default values on the Bex query variables.
    - Implement this note in the BW 1593802    Performance optimization when loading query views

  • Query hit memory low error

    Hi Gurus,
I have created two queries which is exactly same in term the structure used but query a limited to current year and previous year and query b limited to previous year and previous to previous year. This is due to calculation logic that required for the query.(note that there is no data in the system for previous year)
When i execute both queries; query a return result but query b running forever and returning "Memory low error"
please advice what should i do
    Thank you

Well, this sounds like a classic performance issue. So you're going to have to either increase your memory allotment (SAP recommends 1GB to normal users, 2GB to 'power users') and/or review how you can adjust the performance of your query and info provider.
There are any number of performance improvement recommendations in the SAP Help documents, SAP classes, and whatnot. Because every problem is unique, I cannot specifically recommend one of them to  you. The most common performance enhancement step involves carefully reviewing your query and determining what, if any, key figures or characteristics can be removed. Navigational attributes, for example, are a significant performance drain. The second performance improvement that you can take is to try to use cache functionality.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/f048c590-31a4-2c10-8599-bd01fabb93d4
The third performance improvement step that is common is to use aggregates in the info cube.
There are other more expensive solutions- BI Accelerator, HANA, and so forth. But you should not need to implement these.
    Good luck !

  • SEM CPM - Link a Query in Web Mode

    Hi all,
    Im working with SEM-CPM ; i can't add a link to a query in web mode ; i have tried this :
1)Add URL ; works fine but i cannot add the URL dinamycally in order to take the local server ; for example when i transport to QAS then links points to DEV.
2)Add Query : execute the query in Excel.
How can i add a link to a report in order to executed in Web Mode ?
    I will rewards asap.
    Thanks !!

    Hi,
You have to assign the URL of the respective Query Link as per the connectivity of
the server..if it is DEV then you can specify only DEV Query link with DEV Web Browser connectivity..and similar to PRO..
I think you cannot cross link the URL - Query Links with DEV to PRO or visa versa..
    Hope this helps..
    assign points if useful..
    Cheers,
    Pattan.

  • Help on Pinning Query into memory

    Hi,
I have a very simple query which is as follows:
    select col1, col2, col3
    from table1
where <cond1> and <cond2>The query is hitting all the indexes and is tuned. The table is not a very big one but has around 700 rows.
    Now, the problem.
My job which runs in UNIX for 15 hours uses this query. This query is executed every 10-15 seconds. So you can imagine the no of times its been executed in 15 hours.
Is there any way to put this query in memory at the start so that my performance is enhanced by some way and unnecessary hits are saved?
I know about the DBMS_SHARED_POOL.KEEP option. But is there any other way of doing it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Bharat

You could create your own kind of hash function.
Put the result of the query in a packaged pl/sql variable/array.
When the next call to your function is with the same values, then fetch the result from the array. if not get the result from the table and put it in the array.
The whole packaged including array is kept in memory for your session.
Of cause I'm assuming that the data in the table doesn't change.

    Naresh

    Hi Naresh.
RSRT1 is used to view the output of queries as well as views.
This is the reason why you see the option to input view.
the difference between RSRT and RSRT1 is as follows
rsrt allows only queries to be executed and provides output in List as well as HTML format
rsrt1 allows you to execute views as well as queries and in HTML format.
    hope this helps,

  • Data view in Query

    Hi,
My Data flow has 4 dso's and 1 cube. There are some common fields in 4 dso's. It was a 3.5 flow and I have migrated to BI7.0. SOme of the mapping were proposed by itself but some are not.
Now my question is How the data would be viewed at query level.
Would appreciate if anybody can make me understand.
    Thanks

    On the cube.
I am not able to understand how it will fetch the records. Let us assume Sales Documnet no. is in all four tables and our requirement is that we have to pick delivery information from one table and sales document no. from another table. How the system will link the record.
    Thanks

  • CM14 BI Publisher - modifying an existing Data Model, the Graphic View in Query Builder does not display

I am trying to edit the default forms/reports that come with CM14, trying to edit the data model, data set, (to get to the old Infomaker style graphic view) , the Query model does not display (error the list of tables is too long..) Oracle tell me the limit is 60,  there are not 60 tables referenced in any CM report.
Does this Query builder view work at all on any report?
(bigger question, we are moving from CM12, should we move to CM13 which works with infomaker?)
    Thanks,
    Paul L

    Kurt, thanks for your replies.
    A couple of notes/clarifications.
    1.     You are correct that BI works better in Firefox--I have observed issues with the BI display when using IE.  I would recommend using Firefox too.
    2.     You are correct about the way to get to the Query Builder to see a graphical view of data tables.  There are basically two issues with this that I mentioned, but will re-iterate:
    a.  If you have an EXISTING query in the data set, then click the "Query Builder" button, this will remove the existing query that's there, it will NOT display the existing query in the query builder.  Query Builder works only to create a NEW query from scratch.
    b.  Query builder is limited to selecting 60 fields max in your query.  If you are creating a large report with many tables, you may find that 60 fields is not enough.  For that you will have to work in the SQL edit screen rather than using the query builder.
I would impress on anyone developing CM14 reports that they become familiar with the database schema and relationships to avoid problems when developing your BI reports.  You should be able to find the tables and joins documentation in the knowledgebase.

  • SharePoint 2013 List View with query string filter stops working after editing view from browser

I have created one list definition in which I have added one list view which will filter data from query string paramater
So when I am creating list from my list definition, view with query string filter is working fine.
But when I am modifying view from UI(I am not changing any thing , just opening "Modify View" page and then click on "Save" button), view gets stop working means it's not filtering data based on query string
Any suggestion what I am missing?

    Hi JayJT,
The Miscellaneous is located in the contact list that you used for the connection.
So , you need to edit the page, then edit the contact list that you used, in the web part properties of the contact list, you will find Miscellaneous, then expand it and select ‘Server Render’ .
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
