What about using a virtual windows machine ? Or use a DOSemu (DOS Emulator) is a program that lets you run many of your favorite DOS applications under Linux.
Why do you need to execute MSwindows batch commands ?
Please explain.

We have SAP on Windows and the network printer is also on Windows, the PC with Linux is integrated with network printer i.e when the print command from Linux is given the output is available from the printer (Windows). But when the print command is given through SAP there is no output from Printer (Windows).
When same user logs into Windows the printer command is successful.

Printing SAP documents using Linux client is a little bit tricky if you want to get good printing result just as when you print from your Windows client.
If you want to use G printing method (on Linux client), you can't use SAPWIN on device type since SAPWIN is relying printing method. You must use exact printer driver. For example when you're using Dot Matrix printer Epson LX300+, you can use EPESCP2
I am using different method to cheat this and it's completely work.

can't find examples for how execute pl/sql command from Oracle ADF Business Components and how call pl/sql package procedure from ADF Business Components.
insert,update,delete rows in view object instance cache is good but if i must do some complex operations while insert,update,delete rows..it's more better for me to call
pl/sql procedure from oracle db.Am i wrong ????

Execute Unix Mail Command from Store Procedure

Hi Colleagues!
I designed a store procedure that Monitoring some Critical tables in my Oracle 8.0.6.1.0 Database But I need to send some Emails from the Store Procedures to Information System Staff when the amount of rows increase too much. I read about UTL_SMTP but my database version is too old to run this package. Also I have the option of Maildemo8i that execute MS Oulook from a Client System But I looking to Send it from my Database(OS HPUX). So please take a look of this issue and I will appreciate any help.

Do you mean that you want to execute mail or mailx unix commands to send mails.If i am right then probably you are looking for a way to execute operating system commands from your procedure.
You can refer this link if you want to do that. You need java support in your Oracle database and i believe that Oracle 8 does have jvm running in the instance.

Youn need some extproc related entries in you listener.ora and tnsnames.ora file.
*1. In the listener.ora:*
Defining the listener process is done in two parts.
The information contained in each listener differs!!!

You didn't specify a database version, but if you are 10g or higher, it's quite straightforward using an external job type in DBMS_SCHEDULER. Funnily enough i'm looking at something similar myself at the moment.

I want to do this from within PL/SQL.
I need to to do 4 things.
Three require SQL scripts.
The fourth is SQL*Loader.
The usual way is with a UNIX script calling 3 SQL scripts and one Loader control file.
Is there way to do all this from within ONE PL/SQL SCRIPT ??

I tried it already... But UpdateView Method in the Views.asmx and Lists.asmx, both are not supporting for updating the style of the view (like Boxed, Newsletter...).
If you have any code sample which will do this job with any of the SharePoint web services, please share it..

Executing a bash command from Java

I want to execute a bash command from within a Java application on the server. I know how to do simple commands, but this command is killing me. I get nothing back when I send it.

There is also another part where I want the results piped to awk and fetch out the pids. BUt with this not working the rest is a waste for now.

i need to execute the
" net send"
command from the command line in windows nt, from within my java program... is there any way that i can execute cmommands in the dos command shell? or rather, does anybody know a way i can send a message ( in windows ) from java, from one computer to another over the lan?? I cannot have a java programming running on all the other computers, so i cannot make my program serve, it must just send the messges using a lan command....
(the net send command just sends a message in the form of a pop up box on the receiver's screeen)

Execute batch command from flex builder

When I click the "Run" button in Flex builder 3, I would like to execute a batch file. It seems like in the Run settings, it only likes html and flash files. Other file types open in a flash environment Anyone know of a workaround?

Have a look at External Tools and see if that does what you want.
On the main menu bar in Flex Builder there's an "External Tools" icon, click its arrow and select -> Open External Tools Dialog..
Or from the menu, select "Run" -> "External Tools" -> "Open External Tools Dialog..."
You can add a new configuration there and do all kinds of stuff (like creating docs using ASDoc, etc..)
