Sir's months ago i posted ADF Struts life clycle
and i though that i had corrected my problem. but last Friday analyzing my bc4j log file i realize that my bindingContainer is still executing my views objects queries;
What i want, is just exit from adf life cycle if some session variable was not there, forwarding to an login page, or some other page.

I do not have this issue when using my iMac and in Target Display Mode, so I suspect you are just seeing your screen saver/password since your iMac has been idle while you have been using the Mac mini.
You can either eliminate the enter password from screen saver via the System Preferences -> Security, or change the period of time when the screen saver kicks in via System Preferences -> Desktop & Screen Saver.
Sharing the keyboard is a bit tricky. I'm wondering if maybe you could do something with Teleport.

You might want to consider maybe just accessing your Mac mini via Screen Sharing, and then you control it totally from your iMac. Just take the Screen Sharing full screen, and it will be almost as if you are using Target Display mode, only you will be using the iMac's keyboard and mouse/trackpad.

I assume that this is similar to: Data fetch without Refresh rather than Re: Value of one textfield should come into another textfield Without Using TAB ?
If so, the only change you need to make on the first one is to use "onkeyup" instead of "onchange" in the item's "HTML Form Element Attributes" setting.
Note, however, that the user must move away from the item at some point (for example, to click a button), so the onchange will be triggered anyway.

I have a simple datagrid that has an ItemsSource of ObjectQuery<DbDataRecord>.
Let's say I want to refresh a single row from the datagrid, (Because a specific item i know has been changed) without refreshing the entire ItemsSource because the source query is quite big.

Whilst you could raise property changed on every field in an item, that would of course mean implementing inotifypropertychanged on a wrapper object, then iterating all of those properties.
An observablecollection implements the INotifyCollectionChanged interface.
Amongst the possibilities for changes which that notifies are this one:

Which notifies of a single item change.
I usually wrap my entity framework objects.
Sometimes I wrap all the properties so I can do change tracking in the viewmodel.

Which wraps plain classes - but the principle is the same.

Note that because I wrap the same objects returned from EF, there is very little overhead in using an observable collection there.

Can't download multiple files from page without refresh with Safari

Safari 5.1 on imac osx 10.6.8. Just downloaded 5.1 and now I can't download more than 1 file at a time without refreshing the page (or paging back, then forward again) for each download. What is going on? How do i fix this?

Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Then open the Library folder, then the Caches folder, then the com.apple.Safari folder.
Move the cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. Try Downloads.

BackingBean Method call from Task flow isnot getting the Binding Container

I am trying to call a backing bean method from a task flow using method call activity, where my page belongs to.
In this method I am trying to get the binding container,

In my task flow i am calling a jspx page as a popup,
through my jspx page I can do all these operations,
but the problem is when I am trying to call a method written in the Backing bean of that page, at that time only the method is not getting the bindings.
Create insert operation is there in the bindings....

Deleting files from comp without deleting them for ipod

I have an 80 GB Ipod and a 30 GB PC HDD. I only have about 2-4 GB to work with at any given time on my PC. I want to know if there's a way to clean out files on my PC making room for others without losing them on the Ipod. I tried to just synch the new ones but it erased my other files. I'm glad I tested it first, but I don't know what else to do. I want to use my Ipod to its fullest extent, but I can't delete the programs and files used for school from my PC, so its really limited atm.

Best thing to do is either upgrade your PC's hard drive to a larger one or buy an external drive and keep your library on that.
But to do what you want, you have to switch your iPod from auto sync mode to Manually Manage mode.
In manual mode you can add stuff to the iPod manually (drag and drop from iTunes library onto the iPod icon on the left) without effecting anything already on it. Downside is that you have to manually add or delete content from the iPod and things like play counts, rating you might assign on the iPod, etc. do not get synced back to your library.

How to track exit from the PageFragment Lifecycle

Hi,
I have a requirement of keeping track of exit from a pageFragment.
My structure contains: a TaskFlow which contains a train . This train node contains the page Fragments. Now when i navigate from one PageFrag to another ie. when i exit the currently selected node having a page Fragment, i need to fire a logic.
I tried using creating a bean which implements RegionController interface which has refreshRegion(RegionContext ) method.I got hold of RegionBinding interface which has only one of the following values: Entry, Execute_Model, Prepare_Model, Refresh_Unknown, Render_Model and Type_executable_region.
Also in this case i am not exiting the TaskFlow during the navigation.
My doubt is how do i or can i use RegionController to keep track of exit from the currently rendered PageFragment's Lifecycle.
Also , can i use PagePhaseListener to keep track of the PageFragment lifecycle stage. (My understanding is PagePhaseListener is to be used for Jspx not Jsff). Plz do correct me if i am wrong.

I have created a ControllerClass which implements RegionController. I have registered the same as controller class in my pageFragments PageDef.
So, on navigation from one train node to another. due to post back call to leaving node and freshcall to the arriving node in the train flow. i am able to get the leaving as well approaching node.
My doubt is can i get similar or better control over the nodes traversed using trainModel or anyother adfinternal controller class? Kindly suggest any better way of getting handle to the navigating train nodes.

Firstly, you would find it easier not to use x.something in the tag names in your process (I'm not sure if they are allowed, but I would avoid the dots anyway!). So:

I recently turned on the built-in firewall on my MacBook Pro. Ever since doing so, every time a run iTunes, get the following message:
Your computer is using firewall software that prevents
you from using a remote control for AirTunes.
To use a remote control for AirTunes, open System Preferences, click
Sharing, then click Firewall, and select "iTunes Music Sharing."
I always tell it to "Ignore" and I am able to play music through my AirPort Express without any trouble. What is the "remote control" to which this message is referring? I have searched Apple's support pages and this forum without any luck. I thought that opening the "iTunes Music Sharing" port in the firewall would allow other people on my local network to see my music if I was sharing it, which I am not. I don't see what this has to do with a remote control.

Hi,
there is no remote control for AirPortExpress or Air Tunes. Maybe we will see something like this in the futue, who knows.
As AirTunes uses streaming, it probabely needs the same port open as Music Sharing. Because shared music is streamed too.

This was solved by simply allowing "iTunes Music Sharing" in the Firewall tab of the Sharing preference pane.

I have a page in which i am having radio button for date selection say YTD, MTD and so.
In the page i have a frame in which an iGrid is coming up with some data based on the time period selected on the page.
Now if i change the date from the time refresh control of the iGrid in the frame i want to uncheck the radio button seleted on the page as now its not YTD or MTD or whatever selected previously.
Is there any possible way to do this?

Redirecting control to portal page after exiting from SAP R/3 transaction

In my portal Top Level Navigtion, I have two Option, "HOME", "HR FUNCTION".
When a user login to portal by default the first node "Home" is opened and its content is opened in detailed navigation. Then the first content from detailed navigation which is URL iview is opened on the content area.
When a user opens the second node "HR Function", in the detailed navigation, SAP transcaction IViews are shown. When a SAP transaction IView is clicked, its content are opened in content area. After the user finished working with that transaction, he/she is exiting from the transaction by clicking the "Exit" button. This action, makes the content area to show as blank screen.
Is it possible to show the URL ivew from the "Home" menu when ever the control is coming out of SAP transaction IView. In otherwords in need to fill the blank screen with URL Iview. I don't know from where and how to call this URL IVIEW.
Please let me know how to do this.

How to run my vi from a front panel control without using even structure in the vi

Hello, I would like to run my vi from a front pannel control instead of the tool bar RUN botton. I am using LV6.1 without the even structure feature, so I can't do as proposed by a previous posting by setting the vi to run at open in a "do nothing state" then taking the front panel control event and switching the vi into another ("running") state. I wonder is there some other type of solutions to this problem. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Dennis, thank you for the reply. I tried with the attached vi. It can only run once (also not in the correct state I want), as the control i placed on the front pannel will stop the VI. I want to have the vi do nothing when it is opened and start counting when the start botton is pressed. Then i want it stop counting when the botton is pressed again...and so on... I must need a different structure to get it work, or did I miss something simple? Thanks again.
