Export Release Locked To Execute From Parent Folder

Adobe Flash Builder 4.5, Windows XP, Actionscript Project for the Web (not AIR). Worked fine, export it, used it in html, hurray!
Got a new laptop, Windows 7, re-installed Flash Builder 4.5, import project, press play, works fine! Export release build, works fine! Try to copy/paste release build .swf to other directory to put it online, it shows up blank! From various debugging, found that most all projects I imported have this same problem: they work in the parent directory of the workspace, but once I either rename that folder in Windows or copy/paste the necessary .swf and assets outside of that folder, nothing shows up anymore (in one instance, a blue background showed up and a little bit of text, but the text had no formatting and the rest of the display was not present).
Tried looking into linked resources, extracting src data and building a new project with a different name from scratch, made sure everything wasn't read-only or some other permission issue, tried most everything I could think of.
Ideas?

   Below are the steps to do an export release build and deploy the same on to any required target server (in your case MAMP)
Export release build of the project with the existing server settings:
1. Do export release build of the project.
2. zip the bin-release folder contents into say <xyz>.zip
3. upload xyz.zip to the target server and unzip its contents to /wwwroot/<xyz>/
Additional configurations and installations:
1. Zend installation: Your current local webroot would have a folder called ZendFramework, zip it and upload it to your server.
   Unzip the framework in your web root. If Zend Framework is installed in a location other than webroot, then you would have to update the amf_config.ini file. The amf-config.ini file will be found in the <xyz> folder
-    Uncomment and modify zend_path variable to the absolute path of the Zend framework directory.
-    Set amf.production to true.
-    Update webroot with the absolute path to the web root on the server
2. Ensure that any of the php services used by the application is already deployed on the server.
     Ensure that the same directory structure is maintained for the services deployed.

If i save a file on a lion share where i have access RW over group permissions, the groups missing inherited permissions on SMB share on save.
File permissions before save:
user: read/write
group: read/write
other: no access
File permissions after save:
user2: read/write (it changed to the actual users who has permission on the Group)
group: no access !!! Why??
other: no access
On Mac OS X 10.6 i was able to force the group permission, from the parent folder.
Everytime i must manualy propagate from the parent folder to fix this !
Any ideas?

I have the same problem. What exactly do you mean by add ACL. I have tried to change the permissions to add the inheritance via ACL, with no joy - so any help you can give would be appreciated. Thank you.

FCP 6.0.2 Projects don't inherit ACL or owner group from parent folder

I am having difficulty sharing Final Cut projects between edit stations since upgrading to FCP 6.0.2 and Xsan 1.4.2.
I have 5 Final Cut editors (PowerMac G5s) that store project files in a folder called "Projects" on an Xsan volume. The editors are all logged in to Open Directory accounts on an Xserve G5 running 10.4.11, which also has the Xsan volume mounted.
I want all files created in the Projects folder by the editors to be writable by all other editors, I don't really care if I use POSIX permissions of ACLs to get the job done.
All editors are members of the OD group "staff" which has full control (via an ACL) of the Projects folder and is the owner group of the Projects folder.
From any of the computers, logged in in as one of the editors, I can create a text file in the projects file (echo "test" >> test.txt), and ls -le shows that "staff" is the owner-group of test.txt, and the staff/full control ACL is attached to the file.
If I save a Final Cut project in the Projects folder, there is no ACL attached to the file, and the owner-group is "wheel."
This worked as expected under FCP 6.0.1, Xsan 1.4.1, and OX X 10.4.11. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is applicable on Xsan, but about a year or so ago I was having a similar problem on a server share. Turns out the problem was that I had R/W permission for the 'editing' group on the folder, as well as an ACL giving 'editing' Full Control access to the same folder. Did some research and found out there was a bug that if the same group is in the POSIX permissions as well as the ACL it caused problems much like what you are having. I would assume/hope that this has since been fixed in past OS X Server updates, but I don't know for sure. Give that a shot and see if the problem goes away. Just thought I'd throw out my two cents...

Windows server 2008 R2 File& Folder Permissions; Ghost Permissions From "Parent Object" Assigned to Folder Owner

Windows 2008 R2 file server: Subfolders of a particular folder have an account that has Full Control permission that are listed as inherited. That account has no permissions in the parent folder. It was, however the account that was used to copy the folders
and their contents in there from another source and was the owner of the folder.
In Advanced Permissions, it shows them as inherited from "Parent Object" as opposed to the folder name of the parent folder (there are some of these.) (The parent folder of the place where the problem occurs does not inherit from _its_ parent)
I removed it as owner and yet the permissions remained. (as displayed either through the GUI or with ICACLS.)
If I make _any_ edit in Advanced Permissions, the 'ghost' permissions then go away (e.g. add my account with full control - I'm domain admin, so have that anyway) This step seems like it should be unnecessary, but it is required in this situation.
I've done this to 5 of about 20 subfolders and it is consistent. Folders which did not have the 'problem account' as their owner did not exhibit this characteristic.
This affects the files within the subfolders as well.
Oddly, adding an owner to a folder has the same effect and required the same edit before the permissions are seen. This was tested on a different drive on the same server.
Is this an anomaly, a bug, or expected performance?

Do you mean that there is an account that has Full Control permission that are listed as inherited but it doesn’t appear in the parent NFS permissions? If so, please try to uncheck the "Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent" checkbox,
clicking Apply.

Is there a way to drag, copy, export parent folder shown in light room with multiple child folders to smug mug?

I have a parent folder called FHS Dance Competition, that contains several folders (one per team). I have this structure in my computer hard drive which I uploaded with one click to light room. In the past I've had to manually create each folder, copy the name, drag in the photos, etc. Very time consuming. Is there a way to drag or copy, or export the parent folder shown in light room to the lower portion of the screen where the smug mug piece is?

I too need to make "Real Copies" of images and hate doing anything directly from the OS because of the chance that my LR catalog gets out of Sync with the actual images on the computer. So I make the copies inside LR with an export routine and then move the copies inside of LR with the normal drag and drop. Once the export preset is created it can be executed from the Library Grid by right-clicking on the image (or selected images) to make the copies. Export release build from WAMP-2-LAMP questions

Having some difficulties with exporting a release build to move onto a linux host. Looking for a better solution that will ease moving the code (build) to Prod env/version.
Other than the Flash Builder breaking when I start changing the server and path values that reflect the linux paths - I'm unable to export a release with the errors.Is it a build-time thing that it needs all this config - or is it in the release (post-build) that I do all my config edits?
Am I going about this the right way ? - or is there an easier way to export a release with the server settings as a config file - or a way I can just have one version in FB rather than trying to hack a production release to linux from windows?

I don't think you understand: I want to open Dreamweaver and build a brand new site, then when I am done I want to host the dreamweaver site on the Business Catalyst platform. I dont want to use anything in BC to build the site, I just want to use the hosting platform. I do not want to import a BC site into dreamweaver or anything like that. I just want to use BC the same way I would use godaddy, or uhost or any other hosting provider. Based on your response you said that "of course its possible to build a BC site in Dreamweaver" I dont want to build a BC site, I want to build a Dreamweaver site and host it on the BC platform. Like I said before it doesnt seem like this is possible. As of now we can only build a new site in MUSE and integrate it into BC without using a BC template. Can you understand what I am saying. I DONT WANT TO USE A BC TEMPLATE, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH BC WHILE I AM BUILDING THE SITE WITH DREAMWEAVER, JUST LIKE MUSE DOES.

Executing Child Taskflow Method from parent taskflow page

I have one issue with checking dirty data form Parent Taskflow button to check dirty data update in Child Taskflow page's view Object.
JDev version: 11.1.1.3
Scenario :
Outer Container page has back button which need to check wherethere child taskflow has dirty data update or not. Child Taskflow transaction is always create new transaction and non-shared. But from ControllerContext, the root am service still associated with other viewobjects i.e. is loaded in others tabs in that outer container page, which is also checking dirty data from another tabs' viewobject dirty data checking (I need to avoid this issue that's why not working for me with controller context). I am thining to execute the child taskflow method from parent page on back button to check dirty data update for that tabs' page only. For it, how can we get access child taskflow method from parent page with static region taskflow. Is there any solution to implement like this? thank you so much.

this should work:
1. child task flow has input parameter "parentBean" defined.
2. The child task flow has a managed bean "ChildBean" defined in pageFlowScope with a property "parentBean" with setter/getter.
3. the parentBean input parameter references (in its value roperty) #{pageFlowScope.childBean.parentBean}
4. The parent bean is configured on the parent view task flow (viewScope) and passed as a task flow binding input parameter. The parent bean has a boolean property "childFlowTransactionDirty"
This allows the child bean to invoke the parent bean childFlowTransactionDirty to tell it that the transaction is dirty. On the parent view, you would just check the parentBean state for this property.
Next is how you set the value on the parentBean from the childTaskFlow. One option is to use a RegionController on the PageDef file of ADF bound views in the child task flow.

Want to export with Export: Release 9.2.0.1.0 from Oracle 11g database

I need to put a user's data from Oracle 11g to Oracle 9i. I heard, I had to do it using exp 9.2, so I installed Oracle 9i client (Export: Release 9.2.0.1.0 ) and tried to export data from Oracle 11g database but I got following character set error while exporting.
"Export done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set"
and exp crashes out.
(env. windows xp)
My questions:
1. may i need to set the character set of oracle 11g database to US7ASCII ?
2. is it reversable process to change character set from WE8MSWIN1252 to US7ASCII ?
3. or there is something else i need to do to get this problem fixed?

My company blocks executables from running in the Temp folder. How can I install Firefox without it trying to run download.exe from a temp folder?

I found a workaround for the problem of not being able to run executables from the Temp folder.
I happened upon the Full Firefox installer download page. I downloaded the full installer and used WinRar to extract the downloaded file to a folder then I could run setup.exe and Firefox installed successfully.
Please publish the link to the full Firefox installer on the same page where the stub installer is published.

Error while exporting release build.

I'm getting this error while exporting release build targeting iOS, running Flash Builder 4.7 and Apache Flex 4.10.0, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My application contains too much private data, I can't attach it. Just several notes about my problem:
1. It's not reproducible in the Flash Builder 4.6 on OSX 10.6.8
2. It's reproducible with ant build script
3. Error is gone when I removed all <icon></icon> elements from descriptor file.

My edits in LR 5.4 are not showing up on the photos in the parent folder?

When I open my photos directly from the parent folder on my computer the edits/corrections I made in LR are not showing up, the photos are the original imports? The photos in the parent folder are renamed as they were in LR. I'm almost positive the photos in the parent folder showed the edits and corrections prior to LR 5.4. Does anyone have suggestions?

That's the way Lightroom works. You will not see the edits you made in Lightroom when viewing your photos via your operating system.
To see your edits, you need to browse your photos in Lightroom, or if you want to see your edits outside of Lightroom, you must use File->Export in Lightroom to create an exported version of your photo, which will show your edits outside of Lightroom.

Default File Permission not being inherited from parent Share folders

I'm having some trouble with file permissions
on one of my 10.4.7 file servers (running XServe).
New folders under Shared folders are not getting their
permissions from the parent folders.
Share permission is owner:rw,group:rw,everyone:none
but a new folder created below that becomes
owner:r+w,group:r,everyone:r
and the owner for the new folder is the user who
created it and not the admin (for the machine).
I have the default permission to set to inherit permission
from parent but that doesn't seem to be working.
I have couple other Xserve 10.4.7 file servers that
is behaving the way I want, with default permission
is being inherited from the parent folders, and I've compared them but cannot find any difference between
the two in their settings.

If you deny read and execute access for any parent folder, you've denied the ability to access its contents. The POSIX execute bit for folders is the switch that determines whether or not the folder's contents can be viewed, listed, or searched. If the contents are not enumerable, then it doesn't matter what their privileges are.
But be careful. Just not allowing execute for the POSIX owner, POSIX group or POSIX everyone else field may not be sufficient if you're using Effective Permissions. In this case, you'd want to inspect your ACL entries for the parent to ensure that the following controls were not in relevant ACL Allow entries: readextattr, readattr, readsecurity, list, and search. You could also create an ACL Deny entry which denies these five controls for the group or user you want to block out; but don't block the Everyone or Authenticated Users group because ACL Deny rules are evaluated in such a manner that they "subtract from" ACL Allow and POSIX permissions:

Effective Permissions (E) are logically equivalent to the union of (U) applicable POSIX permissions (P) and applicable ACL Allow entries (A), taking away (\) applicable ACL Deny entries (D).
Further, POSIX permissions, P are defined as P <=> (u xor g xor o); they are either the permissions of the owner (u), group (g), or everyone else (o) fields, but not any combination of the two or three.
