Exporting and YouTube Issues

So frustrated. For 6 months I have been able to export my iMovie videos to YouTube, no problem. I have also been able to export my iMovie videos into QuickTime format so they can be viewed on PCs without having to import them into iDVD. Now all of a sudden i can do neither. What is going on...seriously?
Anyone have a fix for either of these issues?

What happens when you try to share to YouTube? Is there an error message?
If you are still experiencing failures you might want to try (as a test) creating a new YouTube account and exporting one of your projects to the new account. That would help narrow down whether the problem is with iMovie or with your older/existing YouTube account.

  • Interlace Deinterlace Export and Youtube Problem

We bought a nice new high end consumer camera - the Panasonic HC X900M . For the price of about $800 this little camera shoots sharp, crisp, colorful, high definition video. My son is spending a year in China and did not want a large camera. Anyway....
It shoots in these modes I believe:  1080p   and  1080i . So far so good. The video looks great. We get it into the computer. We did not want to buy a professional level video editing system / software.... So we have ADOBE Elements 10 (I believe it is 10 or 9).   (I use CS6 and like Adobe editing.)
ELEMENTS does not work with 1080p. So we've decided to shoot in 1080i.
We bring the video clips into Elements. The settings for the project MUST MATCH the video shot... we understand that. The camera has different settings for 1080i shooting. They are HA HG  HX  HE = different mbps. (Here is a link to the specifications in case you cannot read the jpeg) http://panasonic.net/avc/camcorder/hd/x900_series/specifications.html
So we set the settings for the
project at 1080i DV. Can't remember if it was 60i or 30i ? (I don't have his computer here with me...I cannot verify exact project settings. We tried a few)
Does Elements support this camera's settings for video? In this case 1920 x 1080 60i ?  (list above) Can Elements support any of these, and how? I assume so, but if one mode in particular should be used, please advise.
For testing we shot in HA I believe to get as much quality in 1080i. We edited a test sequence. It looks and sounds great, plays back just fine in laptop software. Then we export. (The goal is to compress down to the internet Youtube best quality.) We first go to export to Youtube / Web. But Adobe will not ACCEPT his user name and password. We cannot log on to Youtube. Yes, the password is correct. So that does not work. Strike one.
We decide to export to desktop. We try H.264  and try to set the settings correctly, but every attempt at every setting, results in bad interlaced video. Strike two. There are many many options for export settings. We have tried a great number of options.
Any settings suggestions to make this work? Besides deinterlacing every single clip on the timeline? Or is that the only option.
Is there any editing software you can recommend - not high end professional - that will work?
    Thanks for the help.

Premiere Elements can definitely work with video from this camcorder shot in 1920x1080 AVCHD at 60i. It also appears that your cam can shoot in both stereo and 5.1 audio, both of which Premiere Elements can support -- but take note of which you select so that you can match these specs when you set up your program.
Currently Premiere Elements doesn't support 1920x1080 at 60p -- that consumer interest in that format is growing, so you may well see support for it in an upcoming version of the program.
Most professional video editors will work with 1080p60, including Premiere Pro CS6 and Vegas Pro.
As for the different quality levels of your video, that's your call. The program should be able to work with any of them. But if you want the best results, I'd use the highest bit rate/quality.

  • Standard and Non-standard exports and queries issue

    Hi,
We have created a few STANDARD books with standard exports in them. The standard exports use standard queries.
The ISSUE is that in the Verifications/Filters tab, where we have put in a lot of queries - ONLY the STANDARD queries show up. We would like to have all the queries show up. I am the adminsitrator and still only the standard ones show up.
I am worried that if I "Save As" the export as a non-standard export, it does not allow me to uncheck the standard tick column and save it but I have to manually change the name of the export. Can we change this in anyway?
Is there a system preference where I can allow all the queries to show up in the verifications/filter tab at least for the admnistrators if not for all? Thanks
    - Ad

Thanks for your input but DRM does seem to be behaving what you said or may be I am still missing something here.
    I created a standard query.
    I have a standard export.
Now, in the verification/filter tab of my Standard export, I am able to see my standard queries.
    But,
I am unable to see the Non-Standard Queries.
    HOWEVER,
If I have a Non-Standard export --> I am able to ALL the queries. This makes it a lot more flexible in doing things.
My question is the WHY are my standard exports not able to reach the non-standard queries. What I wanted to do a twist in my export for analysis purposes for a particular use. If non-standard exports have access to Standard and Non-Standard queries --> it just makes more sense to always use a non-standard export and create non-standard queries.

  • Lightroom 5 Exporting and Plugin Issues

Hello Everyone ! I would like to express my gratitude in advance for any advise or solutions the adobe community might provide me with these issues.
I've been using Lightroom 4.3 for the last year with no issues. I decided it was time to try out Lightroom 5 and it's new features. So I installed a trial of 5.6 via creative cloud .  When I launched 5.6 it required me to update my catalog, which I did and didn't encounter any problems with the update.  The first problem I encountered occurred when I attempted to export an edited raw file. The export  progress bar stays at zero and never completes the export process, if it helps anyone , the files I am exporting to JPEG are Raw Nikon D600 files. If I attempt to do anything else while Lightroom is stuck in the export process , the program will become unresponsive and  I'm not even able to kill the process via windows task manager. My second problem is the Plugin manager , on Lightroom 4.3 I use the Smugmug upload plugin . On 5.6 the plugin manager crashes every time I attempt to setup the Smugmug plugin. I've tried other third party plugins and those cause Lightroom to crash as well so I don't believe it's just the Smugmug plugin. I've tried every possible solution I was able to find doing web searches but nothing has worked so far...
The following is a list of steps I took to try to resolve the issues.
-In the export screen I made sure that "Do nothing" was swtiched to "go to explorer" in post processing
    - uninstalled all plugins
    - Unistalled and reinstalled Lightroom 5.6
    -Uninstalled Lightroom  4.3 (perhaps a conflict ?)
-Created a new catalog and imported new files to that catalog
    -disabled firewall and antivirus
    - Tried various JPEG re-sized dimensions
    - Tried to export to various Drives ( local, and external drives)
-Ran Lightroom 5.6 as an administrator
    -Deleted Preference File
Hopefully everyone can see I've tried my best to find a solution but to no avail , it's quite frustrating since I really want to upgrade to 5.6 .  I hope someone can provide a solution or point me in the right direction ! Sorry if this post is too long!

I never had a problem with it in LR4. The example I gave was one of many options I tried. At the other end I asked it to produce smaller files (eg 1500pixels long edge) with a 1000k maximum and I could only get them to output at around 160k.
I have since realised that I neglected to mention that I was using LR/Mogrify2 plug in to add a text graphic to the images. I experimented with turning that option off and I was able to produce a 2500px long edge file at 996k. As soon as I turn that option on again the file ouptuts at 1600k (where I have specified at 1000k limit).
This was never a problem with LR4 so there is a conflict or a bug somewhere.
Is anyone else using a LR / Mogrify 2 plug in and experiencing unpredictable results? I have the option to use LR / Mogrify 2's version of ImageMagick checked.
    Message was edited by: Shipp
So I just did further testing. It seems that LR5 cannot control the maximum file size when working with Lr / Mogrify 2. If I ask the plug in to resize the image and control the maximum file size I can produce a file with long edge 2500pix, 1000k maximum size and the text graphic with no problem at all, as I used to be able to do with LR4. I will contact the plug in developer and see if they are aware of this.

  • Export and Import issue in Oracle 11g

    Hi All,
I have exported data using exp command in oracle 11g by keeping deferred_segment_creation FALSE.
Even then my zero records tables are not coming in export.
What could be the reason or what other thing i have to do to make it work.
    Thanks in advance
    Mohsin J

Tables that were created before you changed deferred_segment_creation to FALSE and do not have any rows would still be segment-less tables --- i.e. not exported.
You need to issue an "ALTER TABLE tablename MOVE" for each of such tables (after having set deferred_segment_creation to FALSE) to force a rebuild of these tables with segments before the export.
    Thus, the sequence is
    1. set deferred_segment_creation to FALSE
    2. identify all tables with 0 rows
    3. issue an ALTER TABLE tablename MOVE for each of such tables from step 2
    4. Re-run your export
alternatively use conventional export (exp) instead of datapump export.

  • PPRO CC 2014 CRASHING, EXPORTING AND RENDERING ISSUES

So Im finally back on track and working well except for the sequence thumbnail regeneration issue.
Once I started rendering in Software vs OPENCL including projects already rendered in OPENCL I was able to EXPORT again,
Render without issues and a heck of allot less crashing.
I also had to go back to Pluraleyes 3.0 vs 3.5 because it was so unreliable.

    Hi,
Please go to following location move the Adobe folder to desktop,
    User Library >> Application support>>
    User Library>> Preferences>>
Make sure you're in user library not in system Library.
Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later
Please rename the Adobe folder in documents to old.adobe
    Now try and launch.
    Hope that helps.

  • Flash and YouTube Issue - fullscreen 1080p freezes computer

Here's what's happening. If I go on YouTube and try to watch a video in 1080p in full screen, it will play fine for about 5-10 seconds or so, but then the video slows for half a second and then freezes, while the audio plays for a few seconds after the video freezes. Then, a few seconds after the video freezes, the audio stops playing as well. At this point, I go to a terminal by hitting Ctrl+Alt+F1 and issue a "pkill x" command, which "restarts" the computer and brings me back to the login screen.
I've tried disabling hardware acceleration and adding "OverrideGPUValidation=1" to /etc/adobe/mms.cfg, but they doesn't work. The freezing still happens.
I am on Arch 64-bit, with flashplugin 64-bit latest version (11.2.202.238-1).
Also, another issue relating to YouTube's flash player: How can I keep the font on the player the same? It alternates from time to time between an ugly wider font and a much nicer-looking narrower font.

    Bump? This is still happening.

  • Final cut x - export and youtube

hi all. I am just trying to work out what has gone wrong here.
Using final cut X exporting using compressor.
here is my youtube chanel for info as well.
    http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy-etfi_vg_Cwkjz3zOAtPg
I just uploaded a video i created yesterday. I shot it in 1920X1080 @ 50 FPS, edited it in fincal cut, and exported it in compressor with the default settings for
HD 720. here is a copy of the information in the file.
    Name: HD 720p
Description: HD 720p for upload to web sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo
    File Extension: mov
Estimated size: 4.61 GB/hour of source
    Audio Encoder
              AAC, Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz
    Video Encoder
Width and Height: Up to 1280 x 720
              Pixel aspect ratio: Default
              Crop: None
              Padding: None
              Frame rate: (100% of source)

              Temporal quality: 50
              Min. temporal quality: 25
              Average data rate: 10.24 (Mbps)
    Compatible with Mac
My question is that the output video is the quality I wanted, and have uploaded to youtube before, as you can see some of the other videos there, but when I uploaded this video (thank you video) the quality is jumpy and nasty and I am not really sure what happened.
I am also using the panasonic HC-V520m full HD camera.
    any info would be great.

Hello Serenity99.   In my rather limited experience with this, I have had much success with just copying and pasting the project from within FCP X.  All of the properties (retiming, themes, effects, music, sound effects etc.) copy over exactly between the two, which is great.  The only thing is that while the transitions and retiming copy over in the one go, you may have to go back and copy and paste any titles seperately as they are placed above the clips (well in my case they have been) but they will copy over nicely and as previously configured.  I have not found this to be a big hassle at all.  I was releaved to find that the process was as easy as it was.  Mind you, I have not has as hiccup free a time with copy and pasting from other applications like iMovie to FCP X.  Although I can select and copy the projects, all the other editing and rejiging has been jumbled and required much reworking.  But if you stick to within FCP X it is easy as pie and works wonderfully.

  • Export and import issue

I would like to copy a materialized view from one database to another with data.
I used datapump .I did the export as follows:
    export ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/product/10.1.0/db_1
    export ORACLE_SID=orcl
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/expdp system/orc8737 tables="PIMS_REPO".\"DW_V_SELECTION_TXN_QSIII\" directory=DATAPUMPST dumpfile=expdp_txn.dmp logfile=expdp_txn.log
    expdp_txn.sh (END)
I did the import as follows:
    impdp import_user/twoseven27 directory=datapumpst
    dumpfile=expdp_txn.dmp logfile=impdp_txn.log
But it got copied as table and not as materialized view. I thought datapump can transform a materialized view to a materialized view.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with the syntax.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply.
    But when I use
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/expdp system/orc8737 directory=DATAPUMPSTEVE dumpfile=expdp_txn.dmp logfile=expdp_txn.log schemas=PIMS_REPO include=DW_V_SELECTION_TXN_QSIII
    it gives
    ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-39041: Metadata filter has no selectivity.

  • Exporting and DVD issues

    Hello,
I have been trying for over a week to find a decent way to export my 54 minute film without a loss of quality without success! I have tried exporting as a quicktime document, exporting through compressor, sharing, exporting as an avi file: no go: I always get a crappy quality! I tried burning a DVD directly throught the "share" option but also got a lousy result. DVDs that are as high quality as the original films exist!!!! How can I do this with FCP 7.0.3 ???????? I would like to send my film to destivals and people are wanting to project it in public debates, including in theaters. So I really need a high quality export/DVD. HELP!!!!!!!

Big studio DVDs look that good because they:
    1. utilize dedicated hardware to do the conversion to mpeg2
    and
    2. have a staff of wizards running the system that understand the dark magic necessary to do good compression.
Converting from HD to the standard definition size that is DVD is always going to look worse than the original (on the assumption that the HD was well exposed, sharply focused, etc).
If you start with HDV, the problems become worse.
    Try this:
If you have not editied in a ProRes codec based timeline, do so.
Export the ProRes based file from FCP using "current settings". This will export a file at the full HD frame size and frame rate.
Open up Compressor and convert the HD ProRes version to a standard definition ProRes version with FRAME CONTROLS set to BEST.
Once you have the SD ProRes version, use Compressor again to create the m2v and ac3 files necessary to build and burn a DVD.
With a less than an hour project, I'd try encoding with a constant bit rate set at 7 and see how things work.

  • After Effect cs4 export and render issue

When I tried to render or export a video, After Effect(CS4)
become no respond and close, after that, my computer shut down too!
    My computer:
    Althon 64X 4600+
    2GB DDR2 Ram
    ATI HD5870 (500mb video Ram)
    Windows 7 32 bit
Can anybody can slove this problem for me?

Mylenium asked very pertinent questions.  I'll make some educated guesses, which may or may not apply.
First thing: 2 GB may seem like a ton of memory to you, but in AE-Land, it's NOTHING.  You need to trick that machine of yours out with memory.  On a 32-bit system, that would mean bringing it up to 4 GB.
If you're trying to use multiprocessing, turn it off and leave it off.  On a 32-bit system, you'll never have enough memory to make multiprocessing work efficiently.
Trying to speed rendering by using Open GL acceleration?  Turn that off, too.
Since you're on a 32-bit system, the most recent version of AE you can run is Version 9.  Make sure it's fully updated.
But if you shot video on a DSLR, HDV Camera, XDCam or Flip Cam, you could still have problems.  Since you can't be running AE 10, which pretty much solved the problem of long-gop footage, here's why:
    Dave's Stock Answer #1:
If the footage you imported into AE is any  kind of the following -- footage in an HDV acquisition codec, MPEG1, MPEG2, AVCHD, mp4, mts, m2t, H.261 or H.264 -- you need to convert it to a different codec.
These kinds of footage use temporal, or interframe compression. They have keyframes at regular intervals, containing complete frame information.  However, the frames in between do NOT have complete information.  Interframe codecs toss out duplicated information.
In order to maintain peak rendering efficiency, AE needs complete information for each and every frame. But because these kinds of footage contain only partial information, AE freaks out, resulting in a wide variety of problems.
I'm a Mac guy, so I like to convert to Quicktime movies in the Animation or PNG codecs; both are lossless.  I'll use Apple's Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder or Quicktime Pro to do it.

  • Export option for highest quality posting to Google video and YouTube

I'm trying to figure out what the best export options are for posting video on Google Video and YouTube. My primary interest is skiing video with quick actions. Here are the 5 options I tried on my iMovie HD 6, the latest and the greatest:
    MPEG4, LAN
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2913246368993273712

    Quicktime, LAN, Deinterlace
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1116022416411494165
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4Wch75hTzs
You can get the whole list on each site with following URL
    http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=imovie-quality-comparison
    http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=C0D08A3D961234E4
Each video has cross reference URL in the description which link to the same video posted on other site.
Currently my choice is "Quicktime, LAN, Deinterlace" on Google Video. Only thing I don't like is doubling of image for fast moving part, which somehow disappears if I reduce the size to 320x200, but then it is too blurry when displayed in full screen.
None is usable on YouTube. They look horrible, but there are much better quality videos on YouTube.
Since there are so many knobs to play around on each option, I'm at loss what to play around with. I did quick things like increasing the size to 720x480 or increasing the frame rate, but surprisingly, none seems to make any difference when filtered through their encoder.
I like to solicit suggestions on what option to try. I'll export the same video with that options, upload it to both sites and we can take a look.
    eMac & iBook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Hi — I also found you via Slashdot. You've gone to a good amount of effort to solve this scientifically.
I'm just here to say: Face it, you need to go past the built-in options. Here's what you need to know:
    1. YouTube is 320x240 (or 320 by anything lower, for widescreen). You must scale to that.
    2. YouTube is 30fps maximum, so if you already have that, set that. If you have 25 or 24, use that. If you have 50, it looks better with 25 (I've tried).
    3. The interlacing choice is purely up to your original video. Does it have 480 lines or 576 lines? And if so, does it have fluid "live camera" motion, unlike film? If your answer is yes to both, then you have interlacing. Since YouTube doesn't do interlacing, you need to remove it.
    4. Both YouTube and Google Video have a problem with the (seemingly open, standard) MP4 format. We think it's because of the VLC software they used. Anyway, use a QuickTime MOV file for the wrapping container, so export to QuickTime Movie (not MPEG-4). But use the H.264 codec. It's good.
OK, that's it. It's your pretty complete, simple guide to making good YouTube videos.
Don't forget to use a tripod and external microphones, and lay off using the zoom too much. That's my other advice, for earlier in the process. Now you've learnt everything technical The rest is only down to viral marketing and you can learn all that by example out on YouTube.
    CK.

am editing with red files in premier pro and when I export and then upload to youtube it is not showing as an hd video.  can anyone help?

Then it's probably YouTube - have you checked here to see that you're watching the hi res version? It could be that YouTube is choosing an easier version to display based on your internet connection.
You can see on this screenshot that although the video has up to 1080 specs, my connection is making YouTube show me the 360p version by default.

  • K1 youtube issues and wifi shutting off

Thought I would throw this question out there.
I was finally (after restoringmy K1) able to get all my updates complete. I have the latest version as of today on the Honeycomb.
Here is the issue...now my internet is shutting down at random for one thing. I have to go back in each time to settings and turn it back on. There seems to be more touch screen delay or nonrecognition. Finally, I can not watch a youtube video through.
Here is an example of my youtube issue...
I watch it in youtube for mobile which I got from the youtube website. The video starts fine, only takes a few seconds to buffer and then plays. It will play for about 2 to 4 minutes into the video and then it jumps to the end, stops the video and you can not rewind, restart or reset it at all. The only option is to refresh but still same thing happens. I tried using youtube yesterday and today with the same results. Here is the other catch. My son has a cheap nextbook that I decided to try the exact options on side by side just to make sure it was not our internet connection. His worked fine all the way through. Mine juped to the end and stopped. I tried a different video today...same thing.
I have read through other posts. Does anyone have fixes for these issues? Honestly, I have a few more days to actually return this. I just need to make a decision. I am just afraid that I am going to always be rittled with peoblems. However I like the tablet when it is working. I am not really sure how well all tablets work except that I know my son doesn't have the problems that I do. He really has not had a y problems and we bought ours around the same time. I have what seems like a lot of force closes when he rarely has any if at all.
Thanks for any help and imput you all can offer.

Well, it is done. I returned the K1 yesterday. I just decided the bugs that I had and the constant frustrations were just not worth it. I think at this time I will just stick with my laptop.

  • Frame Rate and Codec issues in Premiere CC exports

    Here is the breakdown.
    My timeline is...
A 24fps HD timeline in a Cineform Codec
    My first SD Export was...
Quicktime / NTSC DV 24p preset
    Result...
Looks interlaced and squshed in QT Player and claims the file is 29.97fps
Looks interlaced but not squished in Windows Media Player unsure what frame rate it thinks it is.
Looks decent in my Premiere timeline and claims it is indeed 23.97fps
2nd Export I tried HD...Quicktime / HD 720p 24fps preset but changed aspect to 1920x1080 with Animation codec
Result... HD footage sounds fine recognizes the images in the clip if you click through it in the source monitor, but wen rendered from yello to green in the timeline, the video just reads Media Pending.
Really need help with this ASAP.  On a harsh deadline.  CC is proving to be more truoble that it was worth upgrading from CS4.

We are sending the most uncompressed SD version in 23.97fps for another person to author on their end with the compression that will accomodate the other tracks on the disc and get the best quality.  We were told to send a QT file at 23.97 since the original file was a 24.0 fps project (nativly shot on 35mm film) BUT the file we exported at 23.97 to send as a test read as 29.97 outside of Premiere.  If I can solve the annomally with the frame rate changing between Premiere and a QT Player window I will be a happy camper.  Has anyone had issues with frame rates being messed up on export and not exporting as the setting you set it on?
We are not authoring the final disc at our end.
