Expression 1 = expression 2 validation error
Hi
I have a validation on a page of type "Item in expression 1 = string litteral in expression 2".
I have 2 text boxes on the page and in expression one I have
:P10_enter_password
and in expression 2 I have
:P10_confirm_password
If i put an identical string in teh two text boxes and click the button that runs the expression i get the given error message.
"The passwords dont match"
am i doing something wrong?
thanks in advance
Hi Eric,
As for the reason given by Tauceef, you have to create a validation of type PL/SQL.
In String Comparison type there is no subtype that helps compare two items, instead it has types to compare
a given item to a string expression.
Create a validation on item: P10_CONFIRM_PASSWORD
Validation Type: PL/SQL
Validation Sub-type: Function Returning Boolean
Validation Code:
if v('P10_ENTER_PASSWORD') = v('P10_CONFIRM_PASSWORD') then
return true;
else
return false;
end if;Hope it helps!
Regards,
Kiran

While trying to validate expression in mapping error window popups:
"java.lang.Exception: ValidationError??
java.lang.Exception: API8532: Internal Error: Language Validation can't create a unique type name when attempting to deploy a validation package."
OWB creates "owb\bin\admin\..0" file, in which there are such entries:
Wed May 21 08:14:40 CEST 2003

and so on up to :

java.lang.Exception: ValidationError??
java.lang.Exception: API8532: Internal Error: Language Validation can't create a unique type name when attempting to deploy a validation package.
"owb\bin\admin\ValidationPLSQL.log" file contains these 51 commands with increasing number:
CREATE TYPE "INGRP1_T_0";
It doesn't matter what expression I define.
OWB is 9.0.4, Database EE 9.0.2
What can it be ?Problem is it is already set to English_United States, I work only on this locale as to avoid such situations. MLS Disp. Lang. is American English.
NLS settings in database and local regional settings in client system are only different (local).
I tried validation at home, on different repository and it worked. Both databases are EE 9.2.0.1, the only real difference is server platform (Win XP there vs Linux).
From what I can see right now there are way too many problems with OWB and locales, will it be fixed in the upcoming release ?

(no inline validation error displayed)) condition type and plsql expression
Hello all
Is it possible to use a plsql expression (eg: (:REQUEST = 'PXX_LIST_ITEM')) AND (no inline validation error displayed)) condition type at the smae time ?
HTMLDB must be testing a substitution variable when the conditional display section is set to 'no inline validation errors displayed'.Hello,
I don't know for sure because I never used it, but I think you can use the pl/sql variable htmldb_application.g_inline_validation_error_cnt. This variable identifies number of inline errors found.
You can also check if the variable htmldb_application.g_notification contains a value.

'PLS-00363: expression..' error when executing a stored procedure with in o
Hello,
I'm trying to run a PLSQL script containing an ORACLE API but its failing on compilation with the message:
'PLS-00363: expression '<expression>' cannot be used as an assignment target'.
As far as I understand its connected to my IN-OUT parameters but I can't figure out which (I must admit I'm still hiking up a steep learning curve here and I've cut and pasted someone elses example and modified it).
I would be most grateful if one of you pro's could read through my code and advise..
many thanks,
Steveni guess you are trying to store value in your IN parameter.
here is an example
SQL> create or replace procedure pr(p in integer)
2 as
3 begin
4 p := 1;
5 end;
6 /
Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors.
SQL> show err
Errors for PROCEDURE PR:
LINE/COL ERROR
4/2 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
4/2 PLS-00363: expression 'P' cannot be used as an assignment targetSee it also gives the exact line in which the error has occurred. so see that and fix it.

"Your server is not configured properly or your search query has exceeded the limit, Please check server configuration"
Can i disable this settting or is there any parameter for me to turn ?This error could be due to a restriction at the Directory Server end or due to a restriction at the UWC/CE end.
Check the directory server access logs to see if there is an error returned for the search.
Also confirm that the lookthru_limit setting in <uwc_deploy_base>/WEB-INF/config/corp-dir/db_config.properties is more then 1000.

Using regular expressions for validation in i18n
Can we use regular expressions for validation of inputs in a java application taking care of i18N aspects too. Zip code for different locales are different. Can we use regular expressions to validate zipcode inputs from different locales
hi,
For that shall i have to create individual patterns for matching the inputs from different locales or a single pattern will do in the case of validating phone nos. around the world, zip codes etc. In case different patterns are required, programmer should have a konwledge of difference in patters for different locales.

'Express document terminated' - Error
Hi, can anybody please advice on what is 'Express document terminated' - error?
I am getting this error while posting for some particular confirmation numbers and it is against the table AFRU. Please advice. Thanks.HI sagar,
Check if any user exit has a commit work statament with respect to this transaction.
In general you get this type of error messages when you use a explicit commit in a place where you are not supposed to commit.

Regular Expression to validation email address
I want to validate an Email address and I need a regular expression for validating the email address.
Email address requirement:
1) It should not start with numbers, say like [email protected]
2) It should be limited to 65 characters long including domain name.
3) It should not have numeric domain names like [email protected]
ANy inputs will be great.
ThanksAccountUser1 wrote:
Oh ok. If domain names can begin with numbers and its valid, then I'do like to incorporate it. Thanks for the info.
In that case let me rephrase my requirement:
Email address requirement:
1) It should not start with numbers, say like [email protected]
2) It should be limited to 65 characters long including domain name.So, you just arbitrarily refuse to deal with entire classes of email addresses? Why? -
Validation Errors with new Install of W7 x64 Ent Debug Checker On New Equipment
I am receiving multiple Errors. I am trying to use the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise which happens to be the Debug Checker version OS as the host machine. I have only built the machine, and tried to load the Drivers.
I say this due to the starting issue that upon the loading of the entire driver set, (for the MB, Seagate Harddrive, and Vid Card), I would get the BSOD. I identified that the Bluetooth driver was the issue. I then did not load the Bluetooth
drivers for the MB on the 5th or so install of the 7 Ent os. (Tried Server 2k8 r2. Which is not compatible with the MB Drivers.)
I have not received a single Update either. The Auto update feature claims that I am up to date. I do not believe this due to the fact that any fresh Install of any OS has about several decades of updates and reboots to go through.
Upon trying the suggestions on the forum about turning off the IE Addons, the errors remain. Also the results of the sfc /scannow are copied below.
My Questions
I am seeking assistance on solving the Errors that have refused to leave me alone , to put it humorously and am asking for your insight and wisdom. Will you take a look??
Do I need to go to Win 7 Ent or Ult x64 that is not a Debug Checker version.
Are there other Microsoft download Registery file checkers besides the MGA Diag tool that are freeware that I can use to check, for corrupted registry files.
Or do I just need to take it to the stores (Fry’s and Microcenter) that recommended the equipment and have them just reload the software and allow them the headache of solving the error issue, by paying them to install the drivers and have ALL of the
drivers work. (including the blue tooth)
The Goal is to turn it into a Active Directory Server using Virtual Box with Server 2k8 R2 running in the virtual box environment.
Errors and Results.
There are also a number of logs that show various Crit, Error, and Warning logs. I will include those if need be.
This is the majority of the error messages, and I have missed the opportunity to capture others.

Hi,
Version : 10.1.3.4
Scenario : Extracting data from Oracle apps using DBAdapter and insert the same to a 3rd party application
I am tring to use XMLtype.create function in a stored procedure to get the XML.The out parameter for the procedure is XMLtype. I tried to Call this PL/SQL procedure from the BPEL and getting the XML.Then i generated a XSD from this XML using third party tool(stylus) and tried to use it for parsing the XML in BPEL. But i am not able to Manipulate XML data as it is giving the below error.
In this scenario i tried to Use Assign activity to copy the value from /ns3:PurchaseOrderRequest/ns3:OrderHeader/ns3:SEGMENT1 to string variable.But i am not able to do that, is there any solution for it?
Error:

Possible reasons behind this problems are: some xml elements/attributes are optional or the xml data is invalid according to XML Schema.

How to track a validation error in PL/SQL
Is there a way in PL/SQL to track the fact that a page is rendered after a validation error?
I know there is condition type "Inline validation errors displayed" but
I would like to "translate" in PL/SQL expression. In case I would combine it with other PL/SQL expressions.
Thanks,
MarcoI try to show/hide a div depending on the occurence of errors. I resolved this problem by doing this in javascript.
function showEdu(){
$("#edu").animate({ height: 'show', opacity: 'show' }, 'slow');
$s('P6_EDU_SHOWN','Y');
function hideEdu(){
$("#edu").animate({ height: 'hide', opacity: 'hide' }, 'slow');
$s('P6_EDU_SHOWN','N');
function checkEduError(){
if($("span").hasClass("errTxt") == true)
{showEdu();}
else
if($v('P6_EDU_SHOWN') == 'Y')
{showEdu();}
else
{hideEdu();}

Based on the description, you got warnings when you tried to click the mailbox delegation option of mailbox properties in EAC. Is it right?
Did this issue affected only one user mailbox or all of them?
From the error message, it seems that this issue is related to the corrupt permissions. Please use the
Get-MailboxPermission cmdlet to retrieve permissions on a mailbox to check result.
Best regards,
