EXS instruments fail to load

Hello, I am having problems loading all EXS instruments in Logic Pro. I have created a custom EXS instrument with my own samples, and even when i try to load basic things like the garage band "Hip-Hop Kit" drums, it takes at least 10 minutes to load the instruments. When loading my custom one, it almost always comes up with an error reading: Logical end-of-file reached during read operation ---- Result code = -39 "
Sometimes the EXS instruments, once finally loaded, won't even play their programmed samples. I don't know what the deal is, and am obviously missing something. I have tried the previous recommendation of using the project manager to expanded scan the system, then save data, and in preferences selecting the "Load Project Manager database on launch" box. Yet the issue doesn't change.
Should I tell Logic to copy EXS instruments into project folder? (when i created the project that was not selected). If so, how do i activate that option with an already-created project?
Any help is MUCH appreciated. thank you!

Thanks. I'm trying that. I should also say that my computer is connected to a 7TB Xsan Server, and though none of my files or scan paths are on it (it's actually an excluded scan path), i have a feeling it's looking for files through the entire server.

  • Failed to load niScope_32.dll

I had labview 2012 32bit installed on my PC(win-7) with all required (daq, scope & all other) drivers, and it was working fine. Suddenly labview was not able to load "niScope_32.dll" while loading my VI. I tried to repair it with same version of scope drivers(3.9.4) but problem didn't solved. I tried to locate niScope_32.dll i found it in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\RT Images\NI-Scope, when i browse & gave this location while loding VI labview gave error saying nipalp.dll was not found.
So I removed full labview and tried with clean installation (from NI CD) but same problem.
Then again I removed entire labview with all ni device drivers and installed labview 2013(downloaded from NI website)  and scope 4.0.5 drivers still problem persists. Even in NI-Max explorer it is showing NI-scope but I am not able to launch scope soft front panel, error "scope front panel could not launch because an error occured while trying to open application reference". Now I don't see any NI-Scope folder (or sub-folder) inside  "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments" even after installing scope 4.0.5 !!!
I upgraded scope driver to scope 4.1, now a loading screen appers as attached pic & soft panel fails to load...
     any solution???

Can you think of anything that changed on your system between when it worked and stopped?  System update, NI Driver update, installation, etc.
No there was no system update, or ni update... But all I can think of is I had installed "prolific USB to serial" & "WinAVR" software , I uninstalled "prolific" one after error in labview ..
After error, when I connected to net ni labview & scope patch got resumed- downloading & updated in my system
Please post the MAX report here as well. Done attached
When you uninstalled NI-SCOPE, did you also uninstall DAQmx and NI-SCOPE runtime?  In what order did you make changes?  Normally, LabVIEW must be installed first, and then the NI-SCOPE driver.
for 1st time i just repaired scope from windows control panel uninstall & change option, then I uninstalled scope & SCOPE runtime Reinstalled.
After that I uninstalled all NI products from the National Instruments Software Add/Remove entry in "Add/Remove Program" from the winows control panel .  Reinstalled Labview 2012 followed by all device drivers & scope from CD. Still same problem.
Again I uninstalled all NI products (same way) then cleared all registary with help of ccleaner registary cleaner. Then I installed labview 2013(downloaded from ni-web but i am sure about it coz we had used same for other PC's & its working fine) followed by daq 9.4, scope 4.0.5 driver.

  • DIO Port Config & DIO Port Write Block Diagram Errors (Call Library Function Node:library not found or failed to load)

Hi Guys, need help on this.
I have this LabVIEW program that used to work on the old computer.
The old computer crashes most of the time, so I upgraded the computer
and used its Hard Drive as slave to the new computer.
I have no idea where are its installers since the guy that made the program
is not in my department anymore.
I downloaded all the drivers needed from NI: NIDAQ9.0, NIVISA,NI488.2,
and drivers of some instruments needed in the setup. I'm using LabVIEW8.2.
Everything's fine until I open the LabVIEW program for our testing.
    Here goes the error:
       DIO Port Config
       DIO Port Write
    Block Diagram Errors
Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load
    Attachments:
    ErrorList.JPG ‏200 KB

Honestly, I'm a newbie on Labview. I just want this old program to run on the new computer.
The guys that installed the drivers on the old computer are no longer here in my department.
And I have no idea where the drivers are. So I just downloaded the drivers needed for my hardware and instruments.
    Here's my hardware: (cards: PCI-DIO-96, PCI-GPIB), (instruments: SCB100,E4407B, HP83623, HP3458, HP8657)
    OS: Windows XP Pro
By the way, I have unzipped the TraditionalDAQ drivers. First I tried the 7.4.1, but installation error appeared.
I thought maybe the installer is corrupted, so I downloaded the 7.4.4 and unzipped it.
But, still same installation error appears. I don't understand, both TraditionalDAQ drivers have same installation error.
Now I have tried the DAQmx8.7.2 driver, bu still the DIO Port Config and DIO Port Write have errors.

  • Call Library Function Node 'Wrapper.Create': Library not found or failed to load. using windows 7 64 bits

    Dear all
I try to interface my spectrometer (NIRquest from ocean optics) using labview on my 64 bits cumputer using windows 7.
I have absolutely no problem to run the spectrometer with the program dedicated to the spectrometer (called Spetrasuite).
I've installed "OmniDriverSPAM-1.66-win64-development-installer.exe" and everything went right.
When I select a VI in LabView (e.g."wrapper_create.vi") from the wrapper.llb, LabView returns an error :
"Call Library Function Node 'Wrapper.Create': Library not found or failed to load."
I chek the call library function, but everyting seems to be right :
I use LabView 8.6.1 and my others *.vi are running perfectly...
Do you have any idea from where does the problem comes ?
    Thank you very much

    Hello Flanguy,
In addition to smercurio_fc's feedback I can confirm that LabVIEW 8.6.1 doesn't exist in 64-bit version.
Officially, LabVIEW 8.6.1 doesn't support Windows 7 either.
The minimal version of LabVIEW you would need to both support Windows 7 and exist in 64-bit version is LabVIEW 2009 64-bit or any 64-bit versions which are more recent.
In the two links (1 & 2) you can find more background information.
    Kind Regards,
    Wouter

  • Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load

    Hello,
I had a VI that could not find some of the dll functions it needed.  It works on one machine and not on another.  So foolishly I copied the dll in question from the working machine and pasted it over the one on the non-working machine.
Now all my math functions are broken on the machine I copied the dll too.  The error is "Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load"
And if I try to relink in the VI I get "Error loading C:\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\resource\lvanlys.dll" A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."
I tried a repair labview and that did not help.
I tried uninstall and reinstall labview and that did not help!
    Please help me fix this!
    Version 8.2
    dll: C:\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\resource\lvanlys.dll
    Jim

What library did you first copy?
Also lvanlys.dll depends on the Intel Math Kernel Library that gets installed in a different location "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\MKL".
This Intel Math Kernel Library again depends on the Visual C runtime libraries. Most likely you replaced one of those runtime libraries somehow and now the Math Kernel Library (MKL) fails to initialize which causes thelvanlys.dll to fail its load.
Without a good view on your system and what other NI software you have installed it is very hard to recommend a good way of proceeding. There are various versions of the MKL used by various versions of NI products and just deleting the entire MKL folder might get you into trouble with other NI tools.
Deinstalling everything from NI, deleting the entire National Instruments folder and then reinstalling what you need would be the most safe proceeding.
And next time don't just copy some Visual C runtime libraries between machines. Their dependencies are complicated at the least and simply not graspable by us mere mortals. Use the according C runtime installer for the version you need as that installer will take care of installing the right versions of C runtime components and registering everything proberly so you do not usually run into problems with other applications using different versions of the C runtime.

  • Third party EXS-instruments not found in LP9 after downloading.

    Hi.
I have downloaded some EXS-instruments that i found online for free. I stored them along with the original EXS-instruments that came with LP9. When i try to load them in LP I get a pop-up saying the instrument was not found. I have refreshed the library, restarted the mac without result. Why is this?
    Thx, Elias

Read the Logic Studio Instruments manual available in the Help menu.
Specificially, the section on loading instruments.  It spells out the storage locations.  There's a main LIbrary on the Mac HD, and a user Library.
The factory instruments are in the main Library (similar to the path above but starting with the Mac HD vs user).
User instruments go into the user Library.

  • Samples not recognised when opening saved EXS Instrument

Whenever I create a new ESX instrument and save it, it doesn't recognise the samples when I open it again. I can see the samples listed when I go into the EDIT screen. I can see them all mapped to individual keys. But the instrument just plays the default EXS tones. It works fine the first time when I initally load the samples. The problem occurs when I save and then reopen.
I am no stranger to the EXS, I've been creating instruments for years. But this has started happening recently (possibly after an interim update of Logic, I am not sure).
    Some more information
    1. If I hover the cursor over one of the WAV samples in the edit screen, it shows me the location of the sample. I've checked and the path is correct.
    2. In the "zone" tab, I've tried using the "update selected zone info from audio file". It doesn't work.
    3. I've tried clicking on the individual samples and using the "load audio sample" and it does not work. It still plays the default EXS tone
    4. Creating the EXS from scratch and then saving it in the project, by ticking the "copy EXS instruments to project folder" and "Copy EXS samples to project folder" doesn't work either
    5. I've tried doing Repair Disk Permissions.
    6. I've tried re-indexing Spotlight
And here's how I create my EXS instrument. I'm using it to create a soundbank of kicks, snares etc
    1. Click on EDIT in the main EXS screen
    2. Click Zone -> Load Multiple Samples
    3. Select the samples I want
    4. On the next screen, take the "Contiguous Zones" option
    5. At this point, I can use the instrument fine.
    6. Click Instrument -> Save As, and save to an EXS folder I've set up
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Here's my specs.
    Logic 9.1.3
    Leopard OSX 10.6.6
    Model Identifier: iMac
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

You can save anywhere you want.
I have alot of EXS Instruments from ZeroG, but the problem is it takes time to load because it has to find the samples once you move them from the user library path.
Once loaded I save to update the sample path.
Of course, if you have hundreds of EXS Instruments, that's just a waste of time.
    That's why I bought this
    http://www.redmatica.com/Redmatica/ExsManager.html
So easy to use and the EXS Instruments load instantly because the ExsManager program updated the sample path.

  • Logic8 w/ BFD2 upgrade "Fails to load Audio Unit"

I had BFD 1.5 and now I installed BFD2. I got the latest update. Now my old songs (Logic 7 songs) do not recognize the BFD1 audio unit. The message is: "Failed to load Audio Unit, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assitance. (-10110).
The drums aren't loaded or anything. This means I would lose my old song settings for BFD, too tedious to fix.
    Runnning OSX 10.5.2 with Logic 8 on a G5 with 3GB.

Actually not- just remembering that I had this problem immediately on 2 different computers with exactly the same up to date software: my MBP and Powermac. These must actually be legitimate disagreements in the software that Apple will have to address and the best thing to do is to leave feedback.
My reasoning is this: I was running Sampletank(ST) v. 2.2.2 without problems when I installed samplemoog, then samplemoog wouldn't load but ST can load it's instruments the same and everything was fine. Then I installed ST 2.5 and it wouldn't load. So it seems that manufacturers are getting ahead of the old A team- but to forgive is divine and thus forget the upgrade for the old version.
There are plenty of Sampletank XL users out there so perhaps you could report running v. 2.5 without problems? Obviously something trips Logic up and it may well be the upgrade. It's possible someone who just installed the newer version wouldn't have the problem but that's beyond me.

    Hi AnkitG,
One thing to make sure of is that you have installed the correct version of software. You would need Vision Development Module 2014 f1, which can be found here:
    http://www.ni.com/download/vision-development-module-2014-f1/4971/en/
If you are installing from a CD, please try uninstalling and then reinstalling using the link from our website and then follow these steps:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/7B71A26E9B4891C6862577C9007B3F27?OpenDocument
Please make sure the version of LabVIEW selected is the one you are using. After restarting the computer after installation, please try to access the pallette again.

  • Server failed to load

When I star Field Point Explorer 3.0.1 I have the following message:"Server Failed to Load! Ensure that server support DLLs are in system search path"

    Hello,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.
The easiest thing to do to solve this problem would be to install the latest FieldPoint driver. Installing the latest driver will ensure support for all of your hardware and it will replace your 3.0.1 DLLs with the latest DLLS.
Here is a link to the FieldPoint 4.0.1 driver:
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/E1869C0611048EA886256DB9004DD2C7?opendocument&node=132060_US
With this new driver, you will interact with your FieldPoint hardware through the Measurement and Automation Explorer. If possible, I recommend that you uninstall your FP 3.0.1 driver before installing 4.0.1.
Please reply to this post if you are still having problems with this issue.

  • Logic crashes when opening song with EXS instrument

I'm having problem opening a L7 song that contains and EXS instrument. Can't get song open before logic crashes.
The song loads except for the exs file (stock sample in default library). "Loading audio files" for the EXS gets to the last wav file of the patch then stops, the command-period to cancel doesn't work. Logic freezes and L7 "not responding" and have to force quit. Ironically, this EXS patch works in a new song when loaded.
I think i have tried everything with project manager scans and prefs: rescanned project manager, removed the scans, changed all the project manager pref settings ("search using pm database only", unselected "pm on program launch", etc)
Its not just this song but backups / previous versions. Trashed logic preferences, etc but no change. This song also uses ewqlso (loads fine) but i have reduced the buffer on that and there should not be any memory problems.
    Thanks for your help.
    Michael

Finally I got the free time to explin wht happened. Well, here is what happened to this particular corrupted song. I have heard rumours abound about OSX updates and EWQLxx but i have absolutely no proof of this just like I originally thought this was an EXS problem.
Anyways, I found a solution - With core audio disabled I emptied logic trash via key command, but did NOT reorganize song memory. That was the kicker for some strange reason.
So I think I figured out what some already know here but trying the three combinations (trash only, reorg only, or both together) may help solve similar issues.
Good luck, this one really blows under a tight deadline.

  • FireFox images not loading in local folders (firebug error-Failed to load given URL)

I am having difficulty when developing websites in local folders (Windows7 computer). The webpages I make are showing images in IE9 & Chrome but not FireFox (nor Safari nor Opera).
In FireFox I get Firebug "Failed to load given URL" prompt.
I am using html5 & external linked css stylesheet & the html/html5 & css code validates.
I have tried using rel path ie images/image.gif & absolute path references ie C:/RPD_Programming/RPD WEB/amwcsnew/index.html
and have tried using % to eliminate whitespace in references but I cannot get FireFox to display images!!
This has been a problem for me for around 2 weeks now & is very frustrating. Some website code/templates I have downloaded from the internet display the websites properly (ie load images fine) when I open them locally in FireFox. Why does my code not allow the images to load in FireFox (paths/permissions/other issue??). How can I fix this?

Is there a FireFox guide/manual in pdf format available anywhere? I have not found one yet & a FireFox reference might be useful!

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

  • **SOLUTION** DLLML.exe Fails to load at startup (application error)

    Hello everyone!
I purchased the SB X-Fi Fatalty Champion Edition soon after release, and think this is the best card I have ever used to date. Absolutely love it, unbelievable sound.
Now a year or two ago I noticed a certain file failing to load when I started windows.
This file, DLLML.exe. To my understanding this file is used to load EAX emulation support into older games/modules (essential loads a "middle-man" file between the game's sound files/.dll's, and the hardware SPU [Sound Processing Unit, not a real acronym, but that's what I call it since GPU and CPU are similar distincti've acronyms so if you see it used anywhere, it came from me ] to allow EAX support in non-EAX enabled games), and/or to add EAX effects in your audio files using the Wave Studio app.
I've pinpointed this issue to either a Windows Update, or the Creative auto-update (which could mean it is an error caused by an installaion combination of multiple apps at once) because this issue did not arise until I did these two things (did Windows Update, then Creative Auto-Update, then restarted computer).
Now I've primarily had this issue with Windows XP x64 but I have had this issue at times with Windows XP x86 as well.
After you install the software suite, it adds an entry in your Windows Startup to load the module (Start/Run. msconfig. Startup tab. Look for STARTUP ITEM: DLLML). The entry looks like this:
    WinXPx86 looks like: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    WinXPx64 looks like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
Under most circumstances this module loads fine, but because Creative, for reasons why I have not delved into, loads some of their DLL files differently than the Windows standard, which may also be a cause of this issue (extremely unlikely, I believe it is one of the 2 things i mentioned above).
Either way, after I did those 2 things, the DLLML.exe startup entry failed to load every time.
    But I fixed it.
Now what you have to do to resolve this issue, involves editing the startup entry in the Windows Registry.
If you are scared to go into it, have no idea what I am talking about, or never edited the Registry before, don't worry. If you follow these steps EXACTLY, you have nothing to fear.
I will be using default installation parameters for file pathing, so if your Operating System is installed in a different dri've letter other than C:\, then just change the letter to the one your OS is installed onto.
Capitals used for emphesis on actions to take:
-Hit the START button, then select RUN
--------If RUN is not in your start menu, you need to enable it by right-clicking and open area of your TASKBAR, select PROPERTIES. --------Click the START MENU tab, then the CUSTOMIZE button. Click the ADVANCED tab. In the START MENU ITEMS box, scroll down to the entry that says SHOW RUN. Check the checkbox to fill it. Then OK/APPLY/OK, and you should be back to the desktop. Then go to START/RUN
    -type the word REGEDIT
    --------This opens the Windows Registry.
--------DO NOT change ANYTHING in this other than the exact directions I specify or you may corrupt your registry or even worse, corrupt your system, which means F&R time (Format & Reinstall). Treat it like a stripper. You can look all you want but don't touch or there could be dire consequences.
--------Now the fastest way to find this is to manually navigate to the specific "key" or "entry" you need to modify. Mouse-click the +'s to navitage further into the "hi've" following these maps:
-FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS NAVIGATE TO: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
-FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS NAVITAGE TO: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\Run
--------Now you are looking for a specific entry NAME called RCSYSTEM. Depending on which version you are running. They are:
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
-------Now we are going to edit the entry. What we need to do is get rid of that * (asterix) character in the name. I don't know why it is there, I'm thinking it may be a coding error. But in my WinXPx64, this was the culprit.
-Double-click the RCSYSTEM key to edit it, and edit it so it looks EXACTLY LIKE THIS (If you're paranoid about doing something bad, COPY and PASTE this line pertaining to your installed OS. KEEP IN MIND THE INSTALLATION DRIVE LETTER, CHANGE FIRST LETTER IF NESCESSARY)
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem -Startup
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem -Startup
-click OK button. Now it is changed.
-------And we're DONE EDITING the Registry entry!
-now go to FILE in the top-left menu, then select EXIT
    -RESTART your computer
-------You should not receive the "DLLML.exe failed to load" (application error) again!!
To check to see if it loaded into your system properly (as if not getting the error message anymore was proof enough it loaded properly), when you reboot back to the desktop, do the "three-fingered salute" (ctrl-alt-delete), then select the PROCESSES tab. Click on the IMAGE NAME heading to sort it alphabetically, and look for the name (WinXPx86) DLLML.exe or (WinXPx64) DLLML.exe *32.
If you see it listed, it loaded!! CONGRATS, IT BE FIXED!!
If this did not work for you, then your system is posessed, get a priest. I don't think a witchdoctor would give your comp good vibes O_o
Hope this resolved it for you. Enjoy your EAX with Duke Nukem 3d again!
EDIT: As a side note, I also noticed that since after this fix, my computer doesn't hang after sending the restart/shutdown killsignal, so I am wondering with people having similar hanging issues, if their issue could be resolved something similar to this.
Just a thought for any admins/mods/users out there that know what they are doing that maybe wanna test that out.
    Sincerely,

G Kudos for a brilliant finding! After a Windows Hotfix on my XP SP3, when shutting down my PC I would wait for a program and then get an error that EAX was not responding before finally shutting down. On next reboot I lost sound on my PC. After running tests, the Direct Sound test failed pointing at EAX.
This solution cured the problem. Again, kudos, job really well done!!!

  • Extension Manager fails to load  (Error reported on DigitalPublishingRelease.mxi_air)

    Hi
Adobe CreativeSuite Standard 5.5 has been installed but Extension manager is failing to load or fails whilst loading. Would someone be able to assist?
Below is the end of the log.txt file after the ExManLog.YES file was created.
The log file isn't always created on some machines where the .YES file is setup.
The software is installed on Windows Vista. Some machines have a Core I3 chip.
I have been reading the forum and tried changing the permissions where I can and tried the flash issue. Firefox is not installed.

What's the meaning of "remoting onto the machine"? Is it by "Remote Desktop Control"( mstsc )? There is no difference in running Extension Manager locally or by RDC. However, you have to make sure that you login with the same account. If you still can not launch Extension Manager on your laptop, you can generate log files and paste them here.
BTW, we created "Frequently Asked Questions" sub forum for Extension Manager. You might find some useful information in it. Check out http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/extensionmanager/faq

  • URGENT HELP NEEDED 'Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL'

My Adobe Reader was working fine until I needed to open a PDF the other day to which I received this message 'Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL'. I had a problem with it in the past with an error code ending in '142' but I managed to solve this myself. Now this has appeared and I'm stumped. I am currently running windows 8.1 and have the most up-to-date Adobe Reader XI.
I haven't changed anything to my computer for it to interrupt the program. I have read the forums on here and elsewhere. I have:
    Un-installed and re-installed the program
Repaired the program through the control panel
I have run the TDSSKiller from Kaspersky which didn't find anything
I have previously run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software including the 'rootkit' option. Unfortunately I fell asleep and so did my computer so I lost everything from the scan (it takes hours for this scan) so I am currently running it today.
I've conducted other advice that people have suggested on previous forums/discussions but it still hasn't been fixed
If there is anything I could try then could someone please help me as this is very urgent!
Thank you so much in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Thank you for your reply but I have done everything on that page yet it still does not work :/
    Laura,
In that case the only way is to uninstall the reader completely from the system and then to reinstall it.  The process is to use the Adobe cleaner and this is a free tool from Adobe downloadable from this link:
<Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs>
Download the tool and save it on your desktop or in a temporary folder.  then right-click on it and extract the files.  After extracting the files, run the file called: "AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe".  Then follow the simple instructions given on the screen.
After the uninstall is completed, you need to restart the machine before you can install the reader again.
Hope this helps but please post back if this didn't work so that further help can be given.
