Extend 'Show buttons/forms' button functionality to MSOs

When I have a lot of MSO's (usually with only blank and image states) and a button to display/hide them, I have to make ALL the buttons on the page hide the other MSOs that I don't want to show, in case someone shows one MSO, then another and another. This would potentially end up with a lot of MSOs showing. If I add 'Go to state 1' as butotn functionality for all the MSO's to each button, I can ensure that showing one MSO ensures that only the visible state of that MSO is visible, all others are hidden. But it means for each page with say six MSOs, each button needs six handlers, so 36 handlers per page.
But if the 'Show buttons/forms' functionality was extended to MSOs, it would be much easier to build and maintain lots of multiple MSOs - I can control which MSOs each button shows.
Does that make sense? Much easier to show that type a description for!

Hello!
There are several possibilities how to call transaction:
- You can call it as service (that is what you do when you test it from SICF)
- You can call it through service (or alias) WEBGUI (not using service for the specific transaction to call it)
If you are calling it through WEBGUI then parameter ~SINGLETRANSACTION should be added to service (or alias) of WEBGUI. And there should be added also Log Off URL (in SICF). At this case it should navigate back to the URL which is specified in SICF.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Rorijs

  • Localization strings not showing up in some components: buttons, form headings, menu bars, etc

    Hi,
    I've set up an application that works fine and I just localized it: english and chinese.
    I've set up the compiling preferences, created the properties files and loaded them into my components with fx:Metatag. Then I assigned the following to all labels and texts in MXML : {resourceManager.getString("MyBundle", "myResource")}.
    When I do a trace of the localized values, they all display in the console. So there is no problem with the loading or compiling.
    My problem is that the strings are not displayed on some components: buttons, form headings, and some others. However, it shows up correctly on form items, and some others.
    It seems that's a general problem with buttons. Their labels are all empty... (in english and in chinese)
    Is that a bug ?
    Thank you.

  • Reset Form button showing as Submit Form button?

    Hello....
    I have run into an odd issue that I can not figure out.  For the past year, I have been creating and manually distributing various forms to our Sales Engineering group and outside partners.  These forms are all designed from a common template we developed that includes a standard “Reset Form” button.  Upon sending out a new form, I received an email with a screen shot that showed the Reset Form button as “Submit Form”.  The partner went on to say that they thought it was the same as another form they have from me, which also shows a Reset Button as “Submit Form”
    The end user states they are using Adobe 8.1.4.  The forms were developed (9 Pro) LC Designer ES 8.2 and are set to be 8.0 or higher compatible.  This is the first time I have heard of this and cannot figure out the cause.  The label on the canned button itself is being changed from Reset to Submit.
    Does anyone have any thoughts as to what would cause this and how to correct?  I can not assume that this is the only time this has happened, but it is the first I am hearing of it.
    Thank you and my apologies if this should have gone to another forum group

    I have not heard of this before .....can you send the template to [email protected] so I can investigate? Please include a description of the issue in the email.

  • Show one form from another form by button pressed

    I am a new learner. I am using developer but facing a problem when I used a button to show an another form.
    my button is 'Order' in the form cust_info and I want to show ORDERS form by pressing 'Order' button and my pl/sql against this 'Order' button is:
    BEGIN
    OPEN_FORM('ORDERS', no_hide, no_replace, query_only);
    END;
    Showing Error: Can't read form ORDERS
    pls give me a solution.

    Hi, Ashraf:
    You can learn a lot about Forms in online help, which you access by choosing Help > Online Help from the Forms Builder menu. There is an Oracle University class on basic Forms, called Oracle Forms Developer 10g: Build Internet Applications. There are also some excellent books on Oracle Forms. The Forms page on OTN is very helpful as well (http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms).
    When you create a record group, you can specify a query statement for it, so that's where you enter the SELECT statement.
    So if you create a record group named, for example, MY_GROUP, and if your combo list item is named DEPT_ID, then in the trigger where you want to populate the combo list (probably a When-New-Form-Instance) you would use the code:
    DECLARE
        GROUP_ID RECORDGROUP;
        QUERY_OK NUMBER;
    BEGIN
        GROUP_ID := FIND_GROUP('MY_GROUP');
        QUERY_OK := POPULATE_GROUP(GROUP_ID);
        CLEAR_LIST('DEPT_ID');
        POPULATE_LIST('DEPT_ID', GROUP_ID);
    END;
    I hope this helps. As Manu said, please read about Forums etiquette. It's important to just put one problem in each posting so that people who are looking for help on a particular topic can easily find it, and so that those who have expertise in a particular topic will read your post and be more likely to help you.

  • Distribute Form button failing to show dialog box

    Has anyone else had this problem? I click the Distribute Form button and it fails to bring up the Form Distribution Options dialog box.
    This is driving me nuts. Any help is appreciated.

    Updating this a bit. Moved the file to another machine and it works but same file not working still on other machine. Any ideas what would stop this dialog box from appearing?

            Hi there ,
           OA Framework has different way to show the dialog page , you can import the dialouge bean
          ( OADialogPage )
           and follow the code mentioned below in your controller class ( PFR ) :
    OADialogPage dialogPage = new OADialogPage(OAException.WARNING,
    mainMessage, null, "", "");
    String yes = pageContext.getMessage("AK", "FWK_TBX_T_YES", null);
    String no = pageContext.getMessage("AK", "FWK_TBX_T_NO", null);
    dialogPage.setOkButtonItemName("DeleteYesButton");
    dialogPage.setOkButtonToPost(true);
    dialogPage.setNoButtonToPost(true);
    dialogPage.setPostToCallingPage(true);
    pageContext.redirectToDialogPage(dialogPage);
    Please let me know if its not clear / if you need any further input .

  • Submit by Email Button won't function

    Hope this has n't been answered too many times before. Couldn't find anything so wopuld appreciate any help...
    Anyhoo,
    Have created a samiple plain old form in Acrobat/Live Cycle with the Email and Print buttons on top.
    When I send it to someone with Acrobat it works fine, however....
    If they do not have Acrobat and only have Reader on their PC, the Submit by Email button does not function (although the Print one does).
    You initially get a information box telling you it will  send data this way, but once closed it has no functionality...
    Obviously I am doing something wrong as usual but can't figure it out. It is saved out as a Adobe Static PDF file....
    Any help please please please..

    YOu have to Reader Extend the form to allow this. Open it in Acrobat and under the Advanced menu choose the "Extend Features in Adobe Reader" option. This will start a wizard. Take all of the default settings. Once finsihed save the file and distribute that saved file.

  • InfoPath 2010 "open form" button missing from Outlook 2010

    When a few users recieve an infopath form... the file only shows up as an attachment. Other users have an "open form" button up near the subject of the email.
    What would cause this?
    All users are using MS Office 2010

    Infopath is installed on all the machines, and the button for "open form" is not there. The attachment is listed in the email and it opens in infopath if you double click on the attachment.
    This option is fully functional for some of the users.

  • Problem with JavaScript in my PDF Form buttons

    I am trying to have my user click on a button in my form on my website and e-mail the form data to me.
    I am using the following JavaScript with my form button:
    this.mailForm(false, "[email protected]", "", "", "Subject", "Message Body");
    Protected mode is off.
    When I use the above statement (whether the 1st parameter is set to true or false), nothing happens – no email gets sent and no mail dialog box appears. If I change from this.mailForm(...) to this.mailDoc(...), I get a mail dialog box but, as expected, it sends the blank form without the filled-in data due to low user privileges.
    How can I send the form data with this.mailForm(...)? (Note that I prefer to use this.mailForm(...) rather than mailto:(...) because this.mailForm(...) supposedly allows me to e-mail the form without user interaction.)
    -- Don

    Thanks for responding.  I have been using “Submit a form” in the Mouse up event.  I had that operation do a mailto: and it worked, but required user interaction on the part of the web page visitor.  I have successfully created an equivalent JavaScript including:
        var url = "mailto:[email protected]?subject=mySubject&body=MyMessage";
        this.submitForm(url, true);
    The above sent the FDF file successfully, but again, it required user interaction.
    Then I tried this JavaScript - as I mentioned in a previous post - after you said to use doc.submitForm():
        var url = "http://mydomain.com/submit_notice.php";
        doc.submitForm(url, false);
    The above script seemed to do nothing (with no error message). Shouldn't it bring up the PHP file in the web browser?
    I have that php file, submit_notice.php, created, but I have not written any PHP scripts to e-mail the FDF file.  I have never written a PHP script to take the posted FDF data and email it, but I have used the PHP mail() function and posted variables.
    As for what I want to happen on the client side after the submit takes place: I simply want the FDF file to go to an e-mail that I specify.  Additionally, I need it to happen without any client interaction on the part of the web page visitor.  I can expect that visitor to have Adobe reader, but no add-ons or protected mode requirement.
    Please give me an example that emails the FDF file without any user interaction.
    Thank you.

  • Submit Form Button Acrobat X Pro Mac

    I used Acrobat X Pro for the first time a couple of months ago. I created a form and when I was finished there was a Submit Form button in the purple field at the top of the document next to the Highlight Existing Fields button, and the text to the left of the buttons said "Please fill out the following form. When finished, click Submit Form to return the completed form. You can save data typed in this form.". I did not create any buttons on this form manually. I want to do this again for another form but I cannot figure out how I did it the first time. I have seen discussions on how to create a submit button, but I cannot get that to work either. Plus I think the Submit Form button looks nicer anyway. Please Help!!
    What I Need:
    - a pdf form with a submit button that will email me a copy of the completed form when pressed
    - the person filling out the form also needs to be able save a copy for themselves
    My System:
    Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.7
    Office 2011 for Mac 14.0
    Acrobat X for Mac 10.0.2

    I just did what it sounds like you want to do using these instructions for Acrobat Pro 9. Here is the link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Standard/WS3593E0A4-C5E2-4cde-A09E-2A984346DDD2.w. html
    To make it so your user can save a copy go to the Advanced Tab and click on Extend Features in Adobe Reader. That should do it. Good Luck.
    Best,
    Lisa

    My "Remember" button doesn't work. Simple as that. The "Not Now"

    Okay, I have started Firefox in Safe Mode, and the Remember button still didn't work. After checking the error console, It had the following message again:

  • Hiding the "Submit Form" button in Reader

    I am referring to the "Submit Form" button that is part of the application (just to the right of the Highlight Fields button) rather than one that appears on the PDF document itself.
    This is for a PDF form for a company with many branches.
    I want to create a form that users can fill out and save in Reader, but I don't want them to submit it electronically, because I need them to provide a photo as well. I just want them to save the filled-out form and then email it together with a photo to their local branch manager, and I do not have a complete list of branch managers; I am assuming that the user knows the email address of their branch manager. So I either want to hide the Submit Form botton or change it to Save Form.
    I am trying this  on a PC (specifically Acrobat 9, Acrobat Reader 9 and Windows Vista Home Premium), and also on a Mac. On both platforms, when I take an existing form and distribute it to get one that can be filled out n Reader, Acrobat generates a form that Reader displays with the Submit Form button.

    Here is the answer to my own question. Don't use Distribute Form to generate the Reader-enabled form. Instead, in Acrobat 9, go to Advanced --> Extend Forms Fill-in and Save in Adobe Reader to generate the form. In Acrobat X, go to File>Save as.
