Extended Operation Plugin

Hello All,
I want to create an extended operation plugin for OID, Oracle Internet Directory. I have not come across any tutorial to create the plugin. Kindly direct me to any such tutorial. That would be great help.
Thanks,

  • JNDI Extended Operation problem

    Hi,
    I am using JNDI extended operation for accessing Directory server. The request I make is responded in the form of Extended response which holds the value in ASN.1 BER format.
    Can u plz suggest me any solution , so that I will be able to decode the BER format parameters retrieved , in understandable format.

    Maybe you should specify jndi name for your bean in deployment descriptor (ejb-jar.xml) of EJB jar module?
    <ejb-jar>
      <enterprise-beans>
        <ejb>
          <ejb-name>MyBean</ejb-name>
          <jndi-name>JNDINameOfMyBean</jndi-name>
        </ejb>
      </enterprise-beans>
    </ejb-jar>And then lookup for JNDINameOfMyBean.

  • Match rules of Extended Operation

    I used match rules of Extended Operation to search the certificates in ldap server(ldap v3), the filter is "userCertificate:2.5.13.35:=digitalSignature" ,but the server returned the error code LDAP_UNAVAILABLE_CRITICAL_EXTENSION,why? and what other things should i do to get the right result?

    Is that a matching rule that only matches the signature field of the certificate? If so, then Sun DS (and Netscape DS) does not support that. If you want to support searching and filtering on fields of the certificate, you will have to save those fields as separate attributes of the entry. There is an LDAP extension supported by some servers, but not Sun DS. BTW, it is very difficult to implement. Even the Certificate Server does not try to implement it - it just stores the fields as separate attributes.

  • Opera plugin problem

    The problem is following:
    Opera 7.51 + Java Plugin 1.4.2
    With this configuration javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(url) doesn't work from applet. The applet works nice inside Internet Explorer with the same Java Plugin, but not inside Opera.
    This is a init() method of applet, the simplest of simplest. The applet is loaded, of course, from localhost. Any image formats have been tryed.
    public void init() {
    try {
    Image mapimage = ImageIO.read(new URL("http://localhost/maps/reference.jpg"));
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace(); //To change body of catch statement use File | Settings | File Templates.
    And here is a dump of error:
    sun.misc.ServiceConfigurationError: javax.imageio.spi.ImageOutputStreamSpi: : java.io.IOException: Connection failed.

         at com.opera.PluginPanel.run(PluginPanel.java:441)
         at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
    Any thoughts? If anybody has an Opera browser, please, try to test applet with underlying init() method trying to load any image from the same server. And in IE too. It's strange, isn't it?
    Regards, Vitali.

    I had the same problem a few minutes ago with the following setup:
    Debian GNU/Linux Sarge
    Java 1.5.0.2
    Opera 8.0 Beta 1 (Debian Sarge package)
    I have now upgraded to Opera 8.0 Beta 3 (Debian Sarge package) and now it works. It seems Opera has fixed the problem. Can anyone confirm this?

  • Any suggestions on extending operational/processing metadata for DI

    Although the DI Mgt Console has some nifty looking graphics it is a little light on providing the production or operational detail some of my clients need to check. Having a dashboard and exception reporting for regularly scheduled production is a great way to instill confidence in the ETL systems. Not only job performance but more importantly sources read and the resulting source target row counts, inserts, updates, checksums. etc. on a tablle by table basis and by subject groupings from SOR to ODS (if there), DW, data marts and other downstream feeds works great. Also exception reporting for "suspended" or "flagged" records has also be a part of many DW production systems. Okay, any suggestions on hos to do this in DI?
    I have added some data integration operational tables that collect statistcs on the above that either are not collected by DI or are tough to get or deciper. I have used other ETL tools such as INFA, DataStage, ODI, and OWB. Have either used their metadata or extended in a similar fashion.
    Has anyone else done this? Any samples? Or is there a base of information buried in the DI repository just waiting to be tapped?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks. I have added a few tables to supplement the DI schema to enable some dashboards and exception handling for one of my clients who has several dozen customres of their own that they perfrom business processes for via a couple of hosted appliactions. We are writing the DW/BI environment for them. Some of the benefits they provide to their customers is providing data consistency and completeness so operational perfromance is key to them. They need source/target row counts, checksums, inserts/updates and "suspended" rows by reason, etc.
    I have extended several ETL products' metadata repositories to support various clients over the years. I generally keep those extensions to a minimum set of data and functionality needed to support operational aspects of their DW/BI/CPM implementations. fyi: I designed and built a metadata respository for a large vendor many years ago so I understand metadata fairly well and appreciate how one can get quite carried away in it if you are not careful.

  • Java Post-Operation Plugin

    We are running Sun One Directory Server 5.2.
    I have the distinct honor of inheriting a number of Post-Operation plug-ins written by a person who just left the company. Unfortunately, this person was also the only person that knew how they worked.
    These plug-ins were written with Java. The only documentation I have found thus far have been for c programs. Is there a manual available with how to build/deploy post-operation plug-ins written in Java?

    Sun Directory Server 5 (and 6.0) only exports a C API for its plug-in interfaces.
    I've never heard of any customer having written DS post-operation plug-ins in Java. I'm surprised and curious to hear that it actually happened.

    Ludovic.

  • 32 bit plugins in 64 bit Opera possible?

    Hi all!
    I'm considering installing the new Opera 9.50 (64 bit)  and was wondering if anyone had some experiences with using 32 bit plugins (flash and such..).
    I've read/heard rumors of the 9.50 version having some kind of built-in "nspluginwrapper"..? Ref this posting: http://my.opera.com/csant/blog/2007/10/ … -bit-opera
    Any thoughts?

    arch64 with opera 9.5 doesn't seem to work.
    Doing a:
    #file $fileflags "/usr/lib/opera/9.50/operapluginwrapper-ia32-linux" | sed 's/.*://'
    Returns:
    ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped
    Which is a 32bit executable which isn't executable under arch64. The only way to execute this is in a 32bit chroot environment.
    I created a wrapper around this wrapper to execute it in my chroot environment, however this doesn't work due to file descriptor errors. Because the command run is "detect -fd 59 /usr/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so". The number 59 changes every time opera is run.
    Doing an strace on operapluginwrapper, shows that the program tries to write to file descriptor 59. As shown below:
    write(59, "application/x-shockwave-flash:sw"..., 99) = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
    write(59, "Shockwave Flash\0", 16)      = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
    write(59, "Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124\0", 25) = -1 EBADF (Bad file descriptor)
    As such i'm not sure as to how to get this working.

  • Not viewing " Operation Identifier" under Extended tab for SPML Editor.

    Hi all,
    I am bit confuse about the behavour of SPML editor. While doing any extended operation through Java SPML call, I am able to work with all the extended request.
    In this scenrioa, we are using "setOperationIdentifier" call through which are requesting an operation under the extended request for SPML call. And it works good.
    Now samething I would like to do through SPML editor but there is now option to select the "Operation" for extended request. Is this a default behaviour of SPML editor or I did miss anything?
    Where as spml.xml contains all the operation identifier which are using for SPML extended call.
    Can anyone please suggest to use the same feature through SPML editor for extended request?

  • Opera + Adobe Flash Plugin

    I can't install Adobe Flash Plugin on my Opera browser (v 9.63). I run the installer and it said the installation suceeded, but when I restarted Opera I am still with no plugin on "opera:plugins". • WMV, QT plugins are not working within Opera

    I found this is quite strange, but I wasn't sure whether I performed the right steps.
    Here goes....
    pacman would normally "auto-configure" your plugins to work with Fireforx browser, but not Opera in this case.
    First it's flash plugin. What I did was simply copying "libflashplayer.so" from /opt/mozilla-plugins/ to /usr/lib/opera/plugins, and it worked.
    To note: Creating soft link to in between these two directories worked well too.
    Next, I copied out all mplayer-plug-in-* from the same path to opera plugins folder, and it didn't work. I tried to create soft link in between, and it didn't work as well.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

    just a few words of explanation: install mozplugger, ln -sf /opt/mozilla-plugins/.../mozplugger.so /usr/libs/opera/..../mozplugger.so
    (don't remember the paths correctly)
    then in opera -> find new plugins and everything should work

  • How to create custom report plugin using child region report metadata

    Hi,
    I want to ask for help on how to create custom report plugin using child region report metadata. My idea is to create a child region, a classic report and set the condition to never.
    Then i will query the child report metadata from apex view and use it to create a custom report like using jquery jq-grid. Any idea how i can create a process that will use the child report
    metadata? I dont know how i can create a process just like how apex work, how apex render report, coz i want it to be control using the standard apex report attribute. This plugin will
    render according to the child report attribute.
    Is there anybody here had ever done this?

    Hi Nicolette,
    Thanks for the reply. I know where to find the metadata, just asking for idea on how the rendering process will be.
    Start from determining column heading, column order until finish rendering the report. The same way how apex
    render the classic report.
    Previously this imy my rendering process:
    FUNCTION GETCOLUMN(P_REGION IN APEX_PLUGIN.T_REGION,
                         P_PLUGIN IN APEX_PLUGIN.T_PLUGIN,
                         P_VALUE  IN VARCHAR2) RETURN SYS.DBMS_SQL.DESC_TAB2 IS
        VSQLHANDLER     APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL.T_SQL_HANDLER;
        VCOLCOUNT       NUMBER;
        VCOLNAMES       VARCHAR2(2000);
        VAJAXIDENTIFIER VARCHAR2(100);
        VPAGESIZE       TYPEATTR := P_REGION.ATTRIBUTE_04;
        VJSCODE         VARCHAR2(32767);
      BEGIN
        VSQLHANDLER := APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL.GET_SQL_HANDLER(P_SQL_STATEMENT  => 'select * from s_emp',
                                                        P_MIN_COLUMNS    => 1,
                                                        P_MAX_COLUMNS    => 999,
                                                        P_COMPONENT_NAME => P_REGION.ID);
        VCOLCOUNT := VSQLHANDLER.COLUMN_LIST.COUNT();
        FOR I IN 1 .. VCOLCOUNT LOOP
          VCOLNAMES := VCOLNAMES || '{name: "' ||
                       UPPER(VSQLHANDLER.COLUMN_LIST(I).COL_NAME) || '",';
        END LOOP;
        APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL.FREE_SQL_HANDLER(VSQLHANDLER);
        RETURN VSQLHANDLER.COLUMN_LIST;
      EXCEPTION
        WHEN OTHERS THEN
          APEX_PLUGIN_UTIL.FREE_SQL_HANDLER(VSQLHANDLER);
          RAISE;
      END GETCOLUMN;
    So this is how i get the header for my report plugin. The same method is use to get the value / data for each column. This process is work. So now
    i want to extend my plugin so that i will use all attributes from the child report to render my plugin. So the column header, column order, all will depend
    on the child report. And the column display condition is set, it will also check the condition before render the column. Sounds like i want to reinvent
    the normal apex rendering process but this is what i want to achieve.
    I need help to find the correct logic for my render process. Don't want too much for starting, just want to render the plugin correctly, same with child report,
    same columns alias, column ordering and column  conditional display.
    Thanks,
    akulala

  • Can't install latest Flash player 10.1 for Opera 10.53

    Hi all
    Having a weird problem installing Flash Player 10.1.53.64. Flash is only installed partially, differently from earlier versions.
    OS: Windows XP SP 3 (32bit)
    Browser: Opera 10.53
    old Flash player version: 10.0.45.2
    I tried updating my Flash player today because of the security issues. I did it like I always do, following these steps, after of course closing all browsers and IM clients etc:
    1) download Flash uninstaller "uninstall_flash_player.exe" (md5: D049CF4ECD36EAC817D6D9025B470639) from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html?promoid=DNRTE and run it when logged in as Administrator. The uninstaller said uninstallation was completed successfully. I manually checked that Flash files were deleted from c:\Program Files\Opera\program\plugins\ and c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ folders.
    2) download Flash installer for non-IE browsers "install_flash_player.exe" (md5: 6E23EADBA1E84F43E5D28053A8BA27A9) from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ and run it as Admin. The installer said installation was successful. I manually checked the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ folder and found NPSWF32.dll and FlashUtil10h_Plugin.exe added there. I then checked the Opera plugin folder c:\Program Files\Opera\program\plugins\ only to discover there was no NPSWF32.dll there. Previous versions of Flash player always installed that file in the Opera plugin folder because otherwise it won't work.
    3) Started Opera, went to the adobe.com Flash test page. It didn't work. Flash is not installed, Flash video doesn't work and NPSWF32.dll does not show up in Opera's plugin list.
    In short: Flash installer installs to the system32\Macromed folder, but not to the browser plugin folder. Any ideas? Is this a bug? Thanks for helping

    FDF2ndltn,
    I noticed a few things you said about how you installed Flash and I want to ask you about them plus some other questions. Did you ever have IE with Flash working before using Opera or another browser primarily? I have always updated Flash in the following manner: Delete Flash using current Adobe uninstaller; delete Shockwave using uninstaller from Shockwave Program folder; download Flash for IE (ActiveX); download Flash installer for non-IE browsers to my desktop and run; download Shockwave Player to my desktop and run. I don't know if there is a relationship between IE and the other browsers that gets affected when only non-IE Flash is installed.
    This probably isn't significant, but have you tried downloading the installer from "Filehippo" directly to your desktop, and running it from there instead of from a special folder? It could affect which programs get updated.
    Do you have any program that has a setting to kill/disable flash? For example, I have SpywareBlaster and it has a kill flash setting for IE that can alter flash installation and function. I don't know if Firefox has one, and if so, would it affect the other browsers.
    How many accounts do you have on your system and how are they set up, for example, again: I have one Admin account and two Limited accounts. There is never a time when I don't have at least one of my accounts with Administrator rights. The reason I ask is because software can sometimes not function properly due to permission issues involving Admin and Limited accounts. Once in the past I had to manually adjust permission rights to make a program work, but it was something an MS expert published as an interim fix for one of my programs.
    Below are both my install logs that were in my C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder after I installed Flash (both IE and non-IE). Sorry Adobe, but I did not know how to best post or display the logs other than as you see them.

    Lastly, I have to mention again, my use of CCleaner and Regcleaner to clean my registry during uninstalls and installs. I have always used them as you've already read, so I can't tell you how my system would work without their use. I can't tell you whether registry entries get left on your system even after uninstalls. You checked your system folders, but it's not uncommon that items get left somewhere in your registry. Looking at the logs, you can see how some of the registry keys are getting affected. But, as I've said before, proceed with caution when using registry cleaners.

  • DS 5.1sp2 SLAPI plugins leak memory

    I am running DS 5.1sp2, on Solaris 9/SPARC, and have been encountering problems with the ns-slapd process leaking memory when using SLAPI plugins.
    We have written our own bind pre-operation plugin function which, when enabled, causes ns-slapd to leak memory at a pretty rapid rate. I have a simple test where I perform a simple ldapsearch in an endless loop. The ns-slapd process starts off with a VSS of ~617MB (we have a fair amount of cache enabled) ; after a few minutes of my test, the VSS grows by several MB. With the plugin disabled, I can run the same test for hours with no growth in the VSS of ns-slapd.
    I have also performed this test with my plugin disabled, and the "testbind" plugin function (the one provided in <server root></server>/plugins/slapd/slapi/examples/testbind.c) enabled. I see even more rapid memory leakage than with my plugin.
    Are there known issues with SLAPI memory management? Is there anything I can do other than restarting ns-slapd on a regular basis (in production, this memory leak causes VSS growth of several hundred MB in the course of a few days).

    I think if you want to modify the result before it is returned, your plugin needs to be invoked post-op as well. Your plugin can be both at the same time, just make sure your init function knows what to do when called a second time.
    Moreover, without looking at the stack trace, it is hard to make any progress. Do you still have the core file? Can you paste the pstack and pflags output ?
    # Run "file" on the core to see if its a 32 or 64 bit core
    # cd /path/to/ns-slapd
    # pstack <corefile>
    # pflags corefile
    Alternatively, see if you can reproduce the problem with a small plugin. Smaller the better. I'll give it a go.

  • Is it possible to make a plugin api on android?

    Hello,
    We need to build an application that could be extended by plugins. Is it possible to do that and publish to Android handsets and TVs?
    Like using modules, loading them outside android's package.

    I found the answer: YES. ModuleLoader isn't available for a "Flex Mobile Project" neither Modules but you can create the modules in a separate Air project and load them using ModuleManager. I tested it. works. Don't know about performance of this, however.
