Extending HttpServletResponseWrapper doesn't work in WLS 7...

Well, at least not in what I'm trying to do.
          I have the following class so that I can get access to the content
          type being set in the response. However, the code for setContentType
          is never called in WLS 7.01. Since I'd rather not extend
          weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletResponseImpl to accomplish this I'd
          REALLY like a suggestion for how to accomplish this.
          Thanks.
          public class HeaderInfoResponseWrapper
          extends HttpServletResponseWrapper {
          private String content=null;
          public void setContentType(String parm1) {
          content=parm1;
          super.setContentType(parm1);
          public HeaderInfoResponseWrapper (HttpServletResponse
          servletResponse) {
          super (servletResponse);
          public String getContentType() {
          return content;

Hi,
          Did you find a solution to this problem?
          Thanks,
          -Richard

• Since update extended wifi doesn't work

I updated my express extreme as required. Since my airport express that I use to extend my wifi doesn't work anymore. I did a reset and when I try to configuration it keeps telling me that an error has occurred and that I should try again.

I reset modem and router.  Still have the same issue.  I have a laptop connected to the network as well as a PS3.  Both are working great.  Did a Speedtest app test on iphone.  With 3g it was working good.  When i switched to wifi, it was trying to get the ping test accomplished, and could not.  it was stuck in the ping test at 0% for a long time and never progress.

doesn't work for 6.1 and 7.0Sure it works! Have you followed this document for version 6.1:
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/adminguide/cnfgsec.html#1052304
The procedure is slightly different in 7.0, but not too difficult to figure out.

• OEPE Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0)  doesn't work with WLS 10.3.4

Hello All,
The OSB Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) doesn't install with WLS 10.0, and it seems to be installed sucessfully with WLS 10.3.4.
Now, when trying to create a server in OEPE Release 11gR1, it complains as it requires WLS 10.0 binary!!
Big confusion when you try to use these new versions.
Any hint, direction?
Regards,
Ragae

The OSB Release 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) doesn't install with WLS 10.0, and it seems to be installed sucessfully with WLS 10.3.4.Yes, it is because WLS 10.0 is 10g release and Weblogic 10.3.4 is 11g R1 release. Morever, OSB 11.1.1.4 (OSB 11g R1 PS3) is compatible with Weblogic 11g R1 PS3 (10.3.4) only.
Now, when trying to create a server in OEPE Release 11gR1, it complains as it requires WLS 10.0 binary!!OEPE supports the following versions of Oracle WebLogic Server:
11g Release 1 Patch Set 3
11g Release 1 Patch Set 2
11g Release 1 Patch Set 1
11g Release 1
10g Release 3
10.0
9.2
Note that there is limited support for versions 9.1, 9.0, and 8.1.
While creating a server in OEPE choose appropriate server version in "Server Type" option.

• Extended desktop doesn't work with 2 monitors and Yosemite

The desktop doesn't extend across the two screens now that I've upgraded to Yosemite. How can this be fixed?

What version of OS X were you on prior to Yosemite?  I was on Maverick and a window couldn't span over two monitors on Maverick either. I haven't had a need to span a window over multiple displays in a while so I wasn't missing it.  But now that you mention it, it would be nice to have that ability back for the few times when it does come in very handy and I'd like to use it.

• Extended Class doesn't work in Apps, but works in JDeveloper

Hi,
I extended the controller class. Tested in JDeveloper, everythings works good. I ftp the controller .class file to unix box and using personalization, updated the controller class path to the new class path file. Bounced the apache server.
Now when I test the page, by clicking the button, nothing happens. The page remains same. What might be the issue. Any idea.
Thanks,

First try to check About this Page link and confirm that your page is accessing new controller.If it is accessing new only then i would suggest try to add some Logs to your extended controller like
Debug.log(pageContext,"ControllerclassName","message " ,1);or use
pageContext.writeDiagnostics(this,"message",2)Finally enable the FND debug as mentioned in below link

• HT4259 I have been trying for hours to extend my Extreme Gen 5 network with an Express Gen 2.  But no matter what I do or try, it doesn't work.  What does happen is my internet gets block somehow when the Express looks like it's set up and 'green' - no in

I have been trying for hours to extend my Extreme Gen 5 network with an Express Gen 2.  But no matter what I do or try, it doesn't work.  What does happen is my internet gets blocked somehow when the Express is online and looks like it's set up perfect and 'green' - but no internet connection for anything even though the Extreme is green and the modem is good.  Once I disconnect the Express, everything is good again.
I've tried LAN, WAN, though a switch, direct connect, Extreme set to Extend the network, the Express set to be an extension.  Most of the time I get an error trying to update the Express.  But when it seems to be set up perfect, the entire house can't get to the internet.  Just when it looks right, it is so wrong.
If anyone can give me exact steps (e.g., "...from the Base Station menu, select the Restore Default Setting option" vice "...just restore the defaults..."), I would greatly appreciate it.  I'm left to the conclusion that the Express is faulty.  I've been using Airport Utility 6.2 from Mountain Lion on one computer and Airport Utility 5.6.1 from Snow Leopard on another computer (the latter give more control while the former just want you to 'forget' the Express).

I finally got it working.  I was trying to set it up ethernet.  My biggest mistake was when the new Express came on, I did not select 'Continue' - I went straight to manual thinking that I would get the most setup options in manual mode.  So everything I initially tried always resulted in 'wireless'.  Even when I would update or restore default settings, the Express would not completely restart. Or sometimes I would get an error. So most of the time I had to unplug it.  So when it came back up, none of my changes were retained. But there were a lot of times when everything was green and appeared to be fine. But anytime the ethernet cable was plugged in, no more internet.
So here's the weird part.  When I finally tried 'continue' (vice manual), I would get 4 options.  One would be 'ethernet' extended.  So I would select it, it gave me green lights, all looked good, and still the same problem.  This is when I got frustrated.  I thought I had exhausted all possible combinations.
But somehow when trying continue again after another restore, I only got 3 options.  One was the same ethernet extended option (can't remember what the missing 4th one was).  And this time it worked - it gave me the big green circle with the checkmark saying it was successful.  I don't know what I did different, but I know now that it won't work if 4 options come up to choose from.  It will work if only 3 options come up.  And success if only verified by the big checkmark.  Had anyone anywhere said the checkmark declaring success is validation, then maybe I wouldn't have gone down so many rabbit holes thinking it should have been successful.
As for which Airport Utility I prefer, 6.2 looks nice, but it would just ignore the Express and would want me to 'forget' it and would not let me edit it.  Airport Utility 5.6.1 was the one that I ended up using the most and finally had success with.  It still strikes me as odd that there is no manually way to pick ethernet, it can only be choosen following a 'restore defaults', and only from the 3-option list (the 4-option list had the same ethernet choice, but it no worky).
Thanks for the response.  I really do appreciate it.
Aiport Extreme Gen5 - internet access and router
Airport Express Gen2 - connected via ethernet, extending my wireless
- configured while connect directly to the Extreme, but now on a switch (16-port hub)
Using Airport 5.6.1
1) Restore Defaults from Base Station menu
2) Following restart, Select Continue
3) Of the 3 option presented, select 'ethernet.... extend network...'
      - if 4 options are present, may not work
4) Wait for the green circle with the big white checkmark.
5) Connected Express to the switch where a cable went to other end of house - works.
Dead-zone went from 2mbps to 24mbps.
I probably spent 4 hours chasing my tail in anger.  The correct way took about 5 minutes total.
Thanks again.

• Airplay mirroring on Mac Mini (late 2012) doesn't work, extended display does...

Airplay mirroring on Mac Mini (late 2012) doesn't work, extended display does... What's going wrong here?
Details: OS X Yosemite 10.10
Apple TV 3rd generation, version 7.0
Switching Airplay on on Mac Mini works. It goes automatically on extended display mode. Switching to mirroring works for about 1 sec and then it switches back to extended display mode. On my tv screen i see my second desktop. Funny detail: it has the desktop background i used previously. Another funny detail: I had exactly the same problem when i used the previous versions of OS X and the Apple TV software...
Who can help, please!

I also have been having problems with Airplay on my 2014 Mac Mini see Mac Mini 2014 Airplay Display Disconnect Bug?
I"ve also noticed that my Apple TV (3rd Gen) does not appear in the iTunes Airplay list on my Mac Mini whereas it does on my MacBook.
I've booked a call with Apple Support for next Sunday to discuss the issue.
If I get any useful info I will pass it on.

• WiFi Sync with iOS 5 doesn't work with Airport Express used as a wifi extender?

So in our apartment we have an Airport base station that doesn't reach all the way to the bedrooms, so we use an Airport Express as a wifi extender/repeater. The Wifi sync doesn't work when connected to the Airport Express. My iPhone and iTunes can't find each other. But if I'm sitting next to the base station it works just fine. Is there a workaround for this to get wifi sync working in my bedroom? I've updated both Airports to the latest firmware versions.
Thanks
Byron

Well, never mind. It magically started working.

• Numeric pad doesn't work anymore in extended Keyboard

IMAC numeric pad in old extended keyboard doesn't word anymore . I think something wrong in configuration but can't find it.
help

I called Apple and we trouble shot it for over an hour. It turns out that I could use the number pad when logging in under "test" username but not for my own. After deleting a lot of things and restarting, we found that the problem was in this file "com.apple.universalaccess.plist!!! Once we trashed that and restarted it, my number pad worked and now works fine.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to reply! Your suggestion was the first thing we worked on and ruled that out!

• SendStation iPod / iPhone Dock Extender  from GadgetLocker doesn't work!

Ok I went to the Gadget Locker and bought iPod / iPhone Dock Extender http://www.thegadgetlocker.com/productinfo.php/cPath/223/productsid/2787
and than I bought an incase Case.
It doesn't work. The gadget used to support the iPhone does not fit into old docking stations. See photo 1:
The Dock Extender is to wide for the iPhone Dock!
See photo 2:
I called the Gadget Locker and the nice lady didn't even own an iPhone and could not try it! Do not use this company if you want a dockable iPhone solution

A little tape seemed to fix the problem, is this safe?

• Want to extend my WLAN (ZyXEL) using 2013 airport extreme; doesn't work... Any ideas?

Hi
I want to extend my WLAN (using a ZyXEL VDSL-modem) with 2013 airport extreme. Doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Does APE only work with Twisted Pair cable? That's the only way so far I can access the Internet using APE. But that was not my plan when I ordered it. So - am I wrong or is there a solution (without buying airport express on top of it …)?
I am using AP utility v 6.3.1., OS X 10.8.4.
Thanks
swissgerman

In your case, you will need to connect the AirPort to the ZyXEL product with an Ethernet cable.
As far as your question of Does APE only work with Twisted pair cable?
I cannot answer for all products. I said "probably" because as far as I know and have tested....the Apple products will not "extend" a signal from another manufacturer wirelessly.
There might be a product that works with Apple. But, someone else will have to tell you what that product might be.
If you want to extend using wireless with Apple.....as far as I know.....it takes two Apple products to do this.

• Extender doesn't work

Bought an AirPort Express some time ago.
AirPlay function works, but WiFi extender doesn't work, meaning that i barely recieve Wifi at the other end of the house.

Please locate the model number on the AirPort Express on the side of the device. It starts with an "A" followed by four numbers, as in something like A1264 for example.
Post back that info so that we know which model that you have.
In order to extend the wireless signal, you need to have another Apple wireless router providing the signal that the Express will extend, assuming that your model is capable of that function.
Which Apple AirPort router is your "main" router?  The model number will appear on the bottom of the device.
Finally, we need to know if you are still using the Mac with OS X (10.5.8) that you list in your profile. If not, which version of the operating system is your Mac now using?

• If statement doesn't work in JPanel

Hi everybody.
I'd like somebody tell me the reason why the "if" statement doesn't work in a Jpanel but works in a Japplet. I'm including the fragments of code that are relevant to the question.
Thanks in advance.
public class Applet_INVEN extends JApplet {
jTabbedPane jTabbedPane1 = new JTabbedPane();
Panel_1 p_1 = new Panel_1();
JLabel jLabel1 = new JLabel();
JTextField jTextField1 = new JTextField();
JButton jButton1 = new JButton();
void jButton1_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
if (jTextField1.getText() != "0") //------Executes when the condition is true
jLabel1.setText("bingo");
public class Panel_1 extends JPanel {//------INSIDE a JPANEL
JTextField jTextField1 = new JTextField();
JTextField jTextField2 = new JTextField();
JTextField jTextField3 = new JTextField();
JButton jButton1 = new JButton();
void jButton1_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
jTextField2.setText(jTextField1.getText()); //----Ever executes, of course!
if(jTextField1.getText() != "0") //----Never executes, even when
jTextField3.setText("ojo"); //----the condition is true!

You shouldn't use the != operator to test equality of Objects. Use Object.equals() instead.
if (jTextField1.getText() != "0")
should be
if ( ! jTextField1.getText().equals("0"))
or better:
if ( ! "0".equals(jTextField1.getText())) <-- avoids null pointer exception.

I can run the application correctly in jdeveloper 11g environment. I think there is something wrong with deployment. Can anyone help me?

When you target url with .jspx, you are running the page itself, not in the task flow context, so navigation doesn't work.
In the task flow, your page has 'Activity ID' (which is, for example, 'mainPage' for mainPage.jspx) and the navigation is defined for activity IDs, not pages.
