Extract BOM based on Master Recipe status

Greetings,
I'm trying to extract the BOM for all our materials. The problem is that it's not as easy as reading the tables MAST, STKO and STPO because I need to check in the master recipe (Task List) first what is the actual status by looking up the PLKO-STATU field equals to the value 4.
Now, I have absolutely no idea how to link all theses tables together so I can capture the proper information. Like I said, MAST, STKO and STPO is not an issue, it's to link this with PLKO, PLAS and PLPO (if necessary) that I'm wondering how.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mass creation of BOM and Master Recipe for Plants

My client wants to do Mass BOM creation and Mass Master Recipe Creation from a Generic BOM and Generic Master Recipe for all 10 Plants by just a click of button.
He does not want to use copy function using CSO1 or C201, and do for plants 'one by one'. He finds it very time-consuming. He wants to copy for all ten plants all at once. Please advice how this can be accomplished in the best possible manner, and if by standard SAP.

What is LSMW ?
I want to Copy some bill of material from another plant .I had used T code CS01 for it but only the header bill of material is copied .
The copy field in CS01 is only for first level boms the subsequent Boms are not copied .
so is there any other way to do it ? if possible please give the detail procedure .

CIF Master recipe get the message Invalid BOM

Dear All,
I am CIFing up the master recipe, but problem is that the CIF keep telling me that I have an in-valid BoM (Message U9107) all the BoM item are APO relevant . MRP type X0 and So on

Hi Senthil,
All the criteria you mention are there in my master recipe,
1. BoM Status and all the Components, based Quantity are there
2. Comonent item are with the flow ID (APO) 4, Put product in container at start of activities
3 all materials have work scheduling screen
I can get the operation and header material up to APO with no problem, but all the raw materials are not possible to go up, CIF keep reporting that I get the in-valid BOM
Any thing that i missed. ( additional information, for the PP Bom and routing, i have no problem to do the CIF)

Extracting changes from Change Master and importing to another BOM

Dear All,
Our client uses ECM and manages two BOM's the Engineering BOM and Production BOM.
The Engineering BOM s are changed through change number. We need to import these changes to the production BOM, (only the changes) through another change number
This means,
We have the Engineering BOM (No plant, usage 2) and Production BOM (Plant BOM with usage 1)with the same structure (BOM header is Z)
Header : Z
Position 1 :A Qty 1
Postion 2 : B Qty 1
Both initially had components A and B, each with Qty 1.
Now with a change number, the Engineering BOM is changed, a new component C is added, the quantity of A is revised to 2.
Now the Engineering BOM is
Header : Z, Plant ( blank) and Usgae 2
Position 1 :A Qty 2
Postion 2 : B Qty 1
Position 3 : C Oty 1
Our requirement is to extract the changes from the Change master, ie, the extract should say BOM header Z is changed,
New position 3 : C Qty 1,
Modified Position 1, Qty 2.
This should have only the changed information and we want to input this to the Production BOM, through another change number to change the Production BOM.
We want this process to be automated, in the sense, user enters the Production BOM header, Plant and usgae 1 and the new change number, then the BOM will be updated with the changes in the engineering BOM.
My Questions are
1- How to get an extract from the Change master with only the changes file, to a txt or xml or any format?
2- Apart from manually updating the Prodcution BOM by seeing the changes from Environment ->Reporting ->BOM changes of the Change master of the Engineering BOM, is there any other way to update the Production BOM only with the changes?
3- Ideally we want to import the changes to the Production BOM rather than deleting the items and again copying from Engineering BOM. What is best practice used in this scenario?

Got ur point.. This is of course possible.. Practicallyboth the BOM's are not exactly identical. Tere is one more BOM apart from the Production BOM.
And there is a need to transfer the changes ( changes alone ) between BOM's.
Further more, there are interface from SAP to other systems, where they alos requires the BOM changes.. So the requirement arises, how to transfer the changes between BOM and also to other systems from SAP.,
If we do not have any interface from legacy PDM, how to extract the changes from the change master?
What is the general practise followed?

Master Recipe details\ Inspection details based on the ECR number

HI All,
Could you please help me in finding one FM which gives Master Recipe details\ Inspection details based on the ECR number which is created in CC31.
In the Transaction CC31 for a given Change Number, there is a Master Recipe and Inspection in the Objects button -> Task list . We need Master Recipe and Inspection details associated with that particular change number.

BOM/ Master Recipe

Hi again experts,
I changed a BOM of a material by accessing its production version then thru its recipe. Now whenever i try to change the BOM using CS02, there's message "BOM can only be changed via Master Recipe" (warning message). Then if i try to create an alternative BOM for the same item, there's an error message "BOM can only be extended via Master Recipe". This prohibits the user to do so. How can we bypass this? Is it adviseable to just turn the message to warning message? Thanks in advance!

Is there anyway to revert the scenario back to original? I mean, what if they unpurposely changed the BOM thru the recipe? Does it mean we need to create new recipe and new bom for this material just so we can do normal changes with the BOM, or create? Cause right now we cant create an alt bom for the material using CS01. Thanks again!

Our requirement is to secure certain Bills Of Materials and Master Recipes .
Request inputs from the experts to achieve this . We need to maintain certain BOMs and Recipes such that they are secured and handled by few set of people . I understand we can try doing this with some authorization object at BOM for changes etc.. but are there better ways to secure ?

Our requirement is not to restrict changes to BOM , Recipe and track with ECM .
Its a kind of restricting few for the access of BOM , Recipe for which there shall be some kind if a solution using authorization groups creation and mapping . Currently exploring at our end on the same and would be grateful if some one could provide better advice /methods .

Best production version and master recipe?

Is there a way in SAP (ECC.5.0) to choose the best production version on its own besides the date?
Can MRP choose the best production version and master recipe on its own based on cost?
If so How? Config?

Hi,
    MRP selects production version based on   Lotsize,Validity date and status.In R/3 ,we dont have functionality like
   1. Simultaneous MRP and Capacity Planning
   2. Best Optimum route of production.
This is very much available in APO only. You can use either of Quota arrangement or Capacity evolution functionality to distribute planned qty into other resources based on past experience.

Dymanic Master Recipe

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement for are Product with two different concentration value.
Say for example: Product A with 10 ml and Product A with 30 ml.
There are couple of difference between 10 and 30 ml.
1) BOM only one component is changed(based on 10 and 30 ml)
2) Based on 10 and 30 ml only one Process Instruction gets changed. (Based on Standard Operating procedure).
I don't want to create another Recipe/Recipe group as just only one Instruction and only one BOM Component gets changed.
Is there anyways I can make my recipe common for both 10 and 30 ml and dynamic based on the ml value?
I was thinking similar to Variant configuration (Super BOM and Routing). Is there any concept like this to achieve the same in Master Recipe.

There is a functionality of process orders called Material Quantity Calculation.
With MCQ the component quantity may vary according to the batch characteristics. Take a look on the following link for more details:

Master recipes operations not getting transfered in SNP PDS to APO from R3

Hello APO Gurus,
I am trying to transfer SNP PDS for master receipes from R3 to APO.
Issue description::
The operation is not getting transfered correctly , some system default operation "010 generated Operation (from Planned Delive)" is getting generated in APO, also activity and resource capacity is not getting transfered. This situation exist for one plant 1000, for other plant 1100 the SNP PDS created correctly.
i have following points:
1. Is there some customizing setting missing on R3 or APO side for plant 1000 tbefore SNP PDS transfer
2. What need to be checked on master recipes data in R3,
i have checked on below points
1. FG Materials and all the Component Material to be in APO in a Active Integration Model.
2. BOM & Routing and Production Version setup correctly.
3. The Routing Operations have to Relevant to 'SCHEDULING'.
4. Try deleting the existing Integration model for materials & re-create new IM & activate.
Please help me to send SNP PDS correctly to APO to take heuristic run.

Hi,
It is good that you have given your already checked points.
Please check the following things also and try to retransfer the PDS.
1. Check your resource in ECC, whether you have maintained the Process formula.
2. Check you have maintained some values in Master Recipe for processing time
3. Check whether the resource has been transferred for your plant 1000 to APO and an active IM exists.
4. Also check the type of the resource transferred to APO. It should be a single-mixed/ multi-mixed or bucket resource.

What's the reason behind it.
Regarding error CO636,
- Check your BOM of that 500000010 might be components are missing over here.
or
- might be From to To lot size of BOM is not match with your Process order qty.
or
- Also check Valid From to To Date of your BOM.

Hello,
As far as I can see there are no BAPI's or IDOC's available to upload Master Recipe data.
A suggestion would be to use the batch input technique to upload the master recipe master data. You find the documentation of the batch input recorder etc. via the menu path System -> Services -> Batch input -> Recorder
