Extracting Metadata into excel

I have a large client that prints store signage. We have hundreds of signs in our Bridge portfolio for them and we want to verify that each sign has been created at the correct size. I've noticed that the Metadata for each file reveals it's size in inches, but it seems to be dependent on the ppi. But in any case, how can I export that metadata information into excel so we can check the actual size of the piece?

Don't know an easy way for that, maybe via scripting, there is a dedicated
script forum on this adobe forum site.
But why bother with that if you can filter by size, dimension and resolution
using the filter sort order in the path bar. An other workaround would be to
select the metadata panel workspace and when clicking on the top of one
column this will sort them also by size, dimension or resolution, either
descending or ascending

  • Premiere Pro CC - How can I export custom metadata into Excel?

I'm trying to export custom metadata from Premiere CC into Excel. I can create the custom metadata and I've been using the following workflow to get it to excel:
    File: Export: Batch List
This exports a .csv file but the only metadata I can produce is a fraction of metadata from the 'Premiere Pro Project Metadata' schema. Has anyone figured this out?
    Many thanks,

I'm not familiar with Batch List exports, and I don't know of a way to export metadata as a CSV or other file adapted to Excel. The way I know to export metadata is as follows
Select clip in PPro's Project panel
    File>Export>Media
in the Export Settings dialog, click the Media button
in the Metadata Export dialog, set Export Option to Create Sidecar Fiie.
In the Output File Metadata section, select the properties in your custom schema that you want to include (and deselect any others that you don't want)
Click Okay to close Metadata Export and proceed to encode.
If you change the extension from .xmp to .xml, you'll be able to open the file in any text editor--including Excel, but not in a tabular view.

  • Oracle function to extract data into excel sheet

I have extracted data from a couple of tables onto a view. Basically I have got about 15 coloums in that view but i need to extract the data in the view into an Excel sheet.
I just want to know if their is a function in oracle whereby i can export the data in the view onto an excel sheet, because this statements is going to be scripted and run every morning for the data to be processed.
    Oracle version: oracle 9i
    OS : Windows 2003

There are at least three options.
One is to use UTL_FILE or spool to write the results out as a comma separated file. Excel can then read the .CSV without a hitch. Only use spool you want to overwrite the file (on create a new one) each day.
The second approach would still use UTL_FILE but use Tom Kyte's OWA_SYLK utility to write an Excel-readable file.
The third approach would be to reverse the direction. Define your database as a DNS datasource and embed your query in the Excel spreadsheet. This obviates the need for the user to pfaff around with CSV files but does require a bit more work on the OS side.
Which approach you choose rather depends upon your precise needs.

If this is a one-off then IDEs such as TOAD typically
let you export the results of a query in an
    appropriate format for Excel.Note:
because this statements is going to be scripted and run
every morning for the data to be processedSo that won't be feasible in this case, but it was a good point to make.

  • How to extract data into excel file from more than one internal table

    Hi Guys
I want to extract the data from module pool screen.
In screen there are two internal tables
                      1. header
                      2. items.
I want to extract the data as same format looking in the screen.
With simple Download FM we cannot do this one, because in this we   will display as continuous rows.
<b> But my requirement is saving as table with heading, date, header details</b>
Note that it is not the simple down load . Suggest me with example  coding

    Hi Guys,
I think it depends on which software you will use to see the result.
If U are using Excel, it's very easy to achieve it.
      1. Define a structure as string, the lenth depend on your need. And use the structure to define a internal table, supposed is as A..
      2. Concatenate the head data using some separator, for ex. a comma; and then add this into A.
      3. The above step's concatenate is depend on your format for request; For ex, you want to place the date at the 4th cell in excel, that means you should put three separator before the date field.
4 Concatenate the item data into the download table.
      5. Download the table to file.
      6. Display the file, using your defined separator.
    Hope this helpful.

  • How to Extract Huge SAP HR Data into Excel?

    Dear Experts & Gurus,
Need your Valuable suggestions regarding this scenario.
I need to extract entire SAP HR data, modules are OM,PA,TM,PY and PD into Excel sheets because our clients are migrating to other ERP. The data volume is very huge, as they are using SAP since 14years. Can we use se16 to extract the data , will it able to handle in extracting the data from HR Tables or any other standard ways to extract this huge data without any dumps or errors .
Appreciate if you provide some useful suggestions or tips  for this scenario.
    Thank you.
    Regards
    Vicky

    Dear Liran,
Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions.its really given an brief idea now.
    First:
What's the purpose of this data download?
Do you wish to transfer the data from SAP into the new ERP system? Or do you need the download as a backup?
Yes , Transfer the data from SAP to New ERP system, it is not for Backup.
IDOCS/ALE from SAP to New ERP?
    Second
I think Payroll results stored in cluster tables, so here we need Abaper to write program. For OM , PA and TM can we extract via Se16/ Se16n .
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Friends In sql server My table has 250,000 records . How can I import these records into excel?
If not  which file type I can use for it. Thanks for advance friends

There are many solutions. I say two solution here:
using "extract" by right click on database in ssms like bellow screens shots
using "get external data" from data tab in excel

  • Extraction of Essbase Metadata into a Text File

When extracting metadata from Essbase into a txt file, the file lists the child members before the parents. We want it vice versa-just like it looks in Essbase. LKM Hyperion Essbase METADATA to SQL Is used for extraction.

Unfortunately that is the way the API extracts the hierarchy.
There are a couple of options extract the hierarchy with an incremental id, then order by the ID, this will need to be done in an rdbms staging area such as Oracle or SQL Server.
If you are using Oracle you can always load to table and then using the connect by prior command to sort in the correct parent/child format, I am sure there is something equivalent in sql server.

  • Extract the report into excel file

how to extract the report into excel file?
which function module i have to use ?

    Hi Pavan,
If you want to download the displayed list in the Excel file, then at the time when the list is displayed on the screen, you can go to System option on the menu bar, from there go to List and then Save. You will get a pop up which shows you all the formats of download available.Select the one you want to and mention the target path of the file on the Presentation server.
Secondly, you can use the T-codes "CG3Y" to download the data from the Application Server to the Presentation Server and T-code "CG3Z" for vice-versa.
Or else you can use any of the FMs to first download the ABAP list to the ASCII or the BIN format and then convert it to excel using the FM "SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT" or "TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP
I hope I have tried to answer your query.
In case of any further queries, please let know.

  • I am trying to extract metadata from essbase into a flat file using ODI.

I have 2 questions in this regard :
Some of the account members storage property is missing in the extract.the reason which i suspect is due to the parent child sorting that did not happen while extracting. How do i do this.I do not see this option when i select IKM hyperion Essbase Metadata to SQL....
I have many account members that have more than one UDA's upto 5 UDA's.But in my extrcat only one UDA appears. How do i incorporate all the UDA's in a single column, sperated by a comma, the extract file as such is semicolon seperated, mainly because of this reason and some alias descriptions have comma's in the source system
ODi is extracting metadata in a descending order. How do i change it to sort records in parent child order
    Thanks,

    Hi,
There was an issue with early versions of the KM around the storage property, this has since been resolved. I recommend upgrading to the latest release of ODI or have a look through the patches.

  • Metadata into database

    Hi,
I’m very happy to use Adobe Bridge and I think that is a great tool, and I will thank you for that. I have thousands of images in my computer and for a great number of that I already have a lot of information in the metadata… I know how to demand information, I know how to search inside, but I need to know if I can import all this information in a different software …. Something like excel or access….
For example: I need to put in a database all images that are made for a client, and I need to see all the information for each image in the same table, also I need to print all this information…please teach me how to do that
    Thank you

You can extract data from your files into a CSV file that will open in Excel or import to a database.
Using Bridge there are a couple of scripts.
The Barred Rock script that can be found in this thread.
    http://www.ps-scripts.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2365&sid=d3879143b95adbfff4998c35f85c336 b
If only a few fields are required then the "Extract Metadata" script in the Bridge section might work for you.
    http://www.ps-bridge-scripts.talktalk.net
Exiftool should also be considered for the task.
    http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
    Good luck.

  • Getting the information from a writable form into Excel ...

    Help!
I have a writable form that was created in Adobe Acrobat Professional
I would like to either post or email out this form to fellow employees.
Once they fill out this form - it needs to come back to me
I then need to be able to take the data from all forms that will be coming back to me and put it into my Excel Spreadsheet.
Can anyone help me figure this out?
I can make oodles of writable forms, but I can't get the data into excel ....
    Thanks!
    Mieke Jeanne

If your using a Macintosh computer then you can not do it other than  in Acrobat 9, go to advanced menu then  mouse down to extend Reader  Features in Reader ...
You want the ability to filout and save forms.
Then you emai to not more than 500 people. then you read the pdfs and manually key or save as fdf file and  can extract the information from the fdf files.
If your a PC user you have the ability to use a system called liveCycle designer. But you need mucho bucks to subscribe to a special server Aodobe has for such purpose.
If you need more info. go back to the main form page and click on button for Acrobat LiveCycle the choose appropriate news group.

What has to be taken into consideration is that, the structure of the table i_data1 which contains the data to be downloaded to the table.
I hope that this will help you.

  • How to import XMP-MP metadata into organizer

I have a fairly large number of photos with face tag metadata.  Since Adobe is part of the working group that developed the XMP metadata standard, imagine my surprise to find out that Photoshop Elements 11 doesn't use it!
Is there any external program you guys know about to import face tag metadata into the organizer?  I used Windows Photo Gallery to do the face tagging and it properly writes the metadata to the XMP fields.  Problem is the photoshop organizer doesn't read the XMP fields!  It's using it's own standard(?)
We are talking thousands of photos here so re-tagging is just not an option.  Is there a way to get photoshop to import the tags and regions?
    Struggling User

I think most of us who deal with large amounts of photos usually have a multi-application approach to things.  No one application does it all.  I crossed the 10,000 image point some time back and the thought of face tagging all that again makes me more than a little queasy!
I looked at PSE 11's organizer and realized it was very close to what I want.  I'm going to use PSE for pixel editing anyway so it looks like an ideal one-size-fits-all application.  However, of course I now know PSE doesn't use tags in the same way as others.  So it's just a deal breaker plain and simple.
    Right now I use:
Photo Gallery (formerly Window Live Photo Gallery) for organization and face tagging and subject tagging
GeoSetter for location tagging by the way it recognizes the Microsoft face tag data so I can use the people tags to sort in that app too
ExifTool for metadata manipulation where needed (camera data or other interesting info)Also note the ExifToolGUI (no longer maintained also recognizes the Microsoft face tag metadata)
    Photoshop Elements for pixel editing
I use the face tags as keyword tags so you get a double benifit.  The big deal of course however is the face region tag.  Having a picture of many people and a separate list of keywords isn't helpful.  You only know that John Smith is in the photo somewhere but you don't know which person he is!  Like you said however, it's not important to everyone.
I will keep researching this.  I'm betting someone has written an app to extract one set of data and make it available to another app.
