Extracting the input from xml document in BPEL

</html>Since the input goes as an xml to the Receive activity, i am not knowing how to extract the "name" element from it in the assign activity. Which "BPEL XPath Extension Function" should i use to extract the same?

how to copy the payload from onMessage Activity in BPEL interface when it is there at the starting of the process and when clicking on the OnMessage Activity
i'm able to see the View XML Document link. By Clicking on View XML Document Payload is getting opened for me but at this point i'm not able to copy the payload and more over the scroll bar is also not there.
When i'm saving it as .xml i'm able to see the payload but not in an xml format.
When trying the payload in SOAPUI it's not getting reformatted.
How can we solve the issue.

The input payload can be seen from "Audit Trail" tab and "Flow" tab of any BPEL instance. The XML shown in "Flow" tab are not rightly formatted XMLs and you may not able to copy them "as is" to a text editor. But, the XML shown in "Audit Trail" should be in the right XML format and you should be able to click on any audit trail entry and copy the XML payload to a text editor. soapUI should also be able to format such XMLs without any issue. Just make sure that you don't overwrite soap header/body section when pasting to soapUI request.

For the first time when i complied i got the errors as :

So i logged in as sys & grant the permission to execute on UTL_FILE to ridb (user):

So, it got compiled successfully but when i execute it gives me error as:
Source does not have a runnable target.
What does this mean?
So I browse through forum & i got to know that i need to initial the UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject" in init.ora
So can i edit the init.ora with notepad.When i tried to do that it says permission denied
In my system it shows the init.ora file in path C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\config\scripts
but there is also other file initXETemp in the same path do i need to do the changes in it.
I have tried even editing the SPFILE as mentioned below:
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\dbs\SPFILEEXE - I had edit this file using notepad & set the value of UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject". So next time when i restarted i'm unable to log on to the database.
So i had reinstall the software again.
Could you please let me know how to proceed..

Use LINQ to extract the data from a file...

Hi,
I have created a Subprocedure CreateEventList
which populates an EventsComboBox
with a current day's events (if any).
I need to store the events in a generic List communityEvents
which is a collection of
communityEvent
objects. This List needs to be created and assigned to the instance variable
communityEvents.
This method should call helper method ExtractData
which will use LINQ to extract the data from my file.
The specified day is the date selected on the calendar control. This method will be called from the CreateEventList.
This method should clear all data from List communityEvents.
A LINQ
query that creates CommunityEvent
objects should select the events scheduled for selected
day from the file. The selected events should be added to List
communityEvents.

Look, you have to make the file a XML file type -- Somefilename.xml.

You can do a (select new CommunityEvent) just like the example is doing a
select new FileToWatch and load the XML data into the CommunityEvent properties.
So you need to learn how to make a manual XML textfile with XML data in it, and you need to learn how to use LINQ to read the XML. Linq is not going to work against some flat text file you created. There are plenty of examples out on Bing and Google
on how to use Linq-2-XML.

I want to to query only details in Issue id="705230" (id is an attribute)
I tried this, but does not help. I should be able to query the value of core_org_id attribute

I did not include the name space declaration for it is working fine. Really? Then I suppose you must be using a schema-based XMLType column?
Is it Object-Relational or Binary XML storage?
You mentioned it is depricated in 11.2, but iam able to run it on 11.2.Deprecated doesn't mean it ceases functioning.
Any suggestions to covert this to XMLTable/XMLQuery format please..If you read the documentation, it covers this part too ;)

XMLType.extract and namespace in XML document

I found some strange behaviour of XMLType:
I create table by means of:
create table conf (id varchar2(10), info sys.xmltype);
I insert xml document into table.
The text of xml document is:
<conference finishPage="/regfinish_en.jsp" id="CID003" xmlns="http://stud.aanet.ru/conf">
<conferencetitle>title1 </conferencetitle>
</conference>
Then I execute:
select a.info.extract('//conferencetitle/text()').getstringval() from conf a
result is empty string.
I replace document with
<conference finishPage="/regfinish_en.jsp" id="CID003" >
<conferencetitle>title1 </conferencetitle>
</conference>
Now result of statement
select a.info.extract('//conferencetitle/text()').getstringval() from conf a
is "title1"
But than I replace document with
<tc:conference finishPage="/regfinish_en.jsp" id="CID003" xmlns:tc="http://stud.aanet.ru/conf">
<tc:conferencetitle>title1 </tc:conferencetitle>
</tc:conference>
and execute
select a.info.extract('//tc:conferencetitle/text()').getstringval() from conf a

The result is "title1"
I receive this result on Oracle for Linux 9.0.1.3.

hi, before you set the attribute, you need to create a Namespace element preliminary.
Try the following code:

Hi Gurus ,
How can I extract the data from a XSTRING .
I have to get the data which is filled in the survey form the data is getting saved in form of xstring .
Someone told me that there is a standard FM for that . but I am not able to find .
Please reply with the FM in case some one knows about it .

The following code works as of 7.0 (in any SAP system):

How to extract the data from R/3?

Gurus,
I need to extract the data from R/3 to BI . Below i am giving Table name followed by field name and field description.
I am using BI 7.0 and ECC 6.0
I am having following doubts.
1. Based on below information which extract method I need to use (Generic data Extraction?)?
2. I try to create a one view but I could not find Join between the tables. I found only few joins. how to join other tables?
3. Without joining these table how can I collect the data ?
4. Do i need to create multiple tables?

B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway

Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?

If your intention is just changing the content you are passing to bpel/returning from bpel
Here is another way
just update your default created xsd files with new elements, update wsdl elements in message definition and chnage bpel code to reflect new elements in activities

Extract Created-Property from Office Documents

Hello,
i want to show the created-property of Office Documents in the search result list.
KM only extracts Title, modified, modifiedby.
So i followed the document "How to extract DC metadata from office documents for indexing and searching.pdf". But here only the following metadata are extracted:
title, personalname, description, subject, keyword.
How can i extract "created"?

I'm confused. The Properties "title","modified" and "modified" by you see in the KM-Explorer are normally the KM-properties (who uploaded the file and when), not internal MSOffice information.
To extend the list of properties displayed,
go to SyAdm->SysConf->KM->CM->UI->Settings->LayoutSet look for your LayoutSet (probably its AdminExplorer). Select the CollectionListRenderer and edit the String in "Displayed Properties:". Add ",created" at the end for example.
Is this what you need?
When it comes to read MSOffice metadata from the binary, I have no idea, sorry.

Standard Proxy enhanced unable to fill the data from xml to the structure

Hi All,
We have enhanced a standard proxy structure in PI, generated the proxy in the target system SCM, but the call transformation is not filling the data from xml into the appended field.
Am i have to do any thing to fill the data.

Hi Srikant,
You can use the following code. This works for me.
Remember to set the multiplicity of the User structure to 0...N or 1...N
IGPStructure inputStructure = m_context.getInputStructure();
Collection inputItems = inputStructure.getStructures("User");

Extract the data from xbrl source

Hi ,
I want to extract the data from xbrl source system . I have one xsd, few xml files and one xbrl file . I have imported xsd file but lot of the xml files failing to parse against xsd.
Please guide me how to extract the data from xbrl file .

Yes it will work, follow the bellow steps,
Steps
1) Create a blank database in Microsoft Access, lets call it 'TestDB.mdb'. I saved this mdb file in my XI server path itself,
xiserver\xitemp\db\TestDB.mdb
(you can save it anywhere provided it has a shared access)
2) Add a table in TestDB.mdb, call it TEST_EMPLOYEE with the following rows and save it.
EMPID type text
EMPNAME type text
EMPAGE type number
FLAG type text
3) Now follow the same steps as mentioned in the blog,

except for the receiver jdbc adapter configuration.
4) In the receiver JDBC adapter configuration pass the following parameters,
Transport Protocol: JDBC 2.0
Message Protocol: XML SQL Format
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
JDBC Driver: jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
Connection: jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb
5) In my case there is no userid and password required, but if you have userid and password, then the parameter for Connection becomes,
jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb;Uid=yourid;Pwd=yourpwd;
