F.M. Domain need IP address

Hi,
Please let me know any Function module for getting the I.P. Address, my input will be DOMAIN name or host name,
for ex: www.yahoo.com , I need the IP address of the yahoo server.
Please let me know whether it is possible.

Need to blacklist (block) a large number of domains and email addresses

I tried to import a large number of domains into a transport rule (new/set-transportrule -name xxx -domainis $csv -quarantine $true).
I added a few domains manually and tested to make sure the rule was working. It was. Then I ran the cmdlet to import a small number of domains (4). That also worked. Then I ran the cmdlet on a large number of domains. The cmdlet
worked with no error message (once I got the list of domains well under 4096 bytes). I waited a day to see if the domains would show up in the rule. But the imported domains did not show up.
Is there a better solution to blocking large numbers of domains and email addresses? Or is the transport rule the only option?

Since you do not want to crop your images to a square 1:1 aspect ratio changing the canvas to be square will not make your images square they will retain their Aspect Ratio and image size will be changer to fit within your 1020 px square. There will be a border or borders on a side or two borders on opposite sides. You do not need a script because Photoshop ships with a Plug-in script to be used in Actions. What is good about Plugins is the support Actions. When you record the action the plug-in during action recording records the setting you use in its dialog into the actions step. When the Action is played the Plug-in use the recorded setting an bypasses displaying its dialog. So the Action can be Batch. The Action you would record would have two Steps. Step 1 menu File>Automate>Fit Image... in the Fit Image dialog enter 1020 in the width and height fields. Step 2 Canvas size enter 1020 pixels in width and height not relative leave the anchor point centered it you want even borders on two sides set color to white in the canvas size dialog. You can batch the action.
The above script will also work. Its squares the document then re-sizes to 1020x1020 the action re-sizes the image to fit with in an area 1020 x 1020 then add any missing canvas. The script like the action only process one image so it would also need to be batched. Record the script into and action and batch the action. As the author wrote. The script re size canvas did not specify an anchor point so the default center anchor point is uses like the action canvas will be added to two sides.

Keeping Domain Name Email Address After Hosting With MobileMe

Hi,
I am looking for any advice with regard to my website, which I now host with MobileMe. Prior to the transfer I had a Domain specific email address, which I now can no longer use. I receive the emails, but when it comes to answering, I can only answer as my .Mac account name.
Can anyone help, as my previous Domain holder wants about US$100/year to maintain this facility?

Whether you get e-mails from the type of [email protected] or not depends on your domain registrar.
What you're paying now is also the hosting which is needed to have real mailboxes.
Usually at domain registrars you get MailForwards which means that I send e-mails at [email protected] which forwards e-mails to another address like [email protected] and you can set [email protected] to be forwarded to another e-mail (if you want). So basically MailForwards aren't real e-mails themselves. You can also set *@yourdomain.com so all e-mails sent to no matter which e-mail @yourdomain.com gets sent to [email protected] (no matter what people put in front of the @yourdomain.com).
The problem is that if you set up CNAME for your domain usually E-Mail gets broken. But there’s a trick to avoid that (pointed out to by Earl and originally posted by Seanomich on the Apple Discussion Forums). Mainly that’s it:
1. www.yourdomain.com is different from yourdomain.com
2. Domain registrars handle them as completely different
3. The trick is to set up CNAME for www.yourdomain.com (as of Chapter 2 of this page)
4. For yourdomain.com set up a WebForward instead (as of Chapter 1 of this page) pointing it to www.yourdomain.com
5. Now yourdomain.com is free to be used for e-mails
If your domain registrar doesn't provide this feature (MailForwards without having to pay the hosting) you could manage your domain using ZoneEdit (which is free) and you will get MailForward e-mails.
You will then also be able to send e-mails from [email protected]. All you need to do is write [email protected] in the Preferences of the Mail application where it says E-mail (same on the iPhone). In addition to that if you use a gmail address as real address behind the [email protected] MailForward you will also be able to send e-mails from the web as [email protected] since it allows to apply aliases.
Bottom line: you can have e-mails like you want
If MailForward isn’t enough for you, you probably need a hosting package (other than MobileMe) along with your domain and that's where you have to pay the 100$ a year...

Exchange 2010 accepted domain and email address policy

So I need some help as to which accepted domain is right for us. We are a single forest single domain that is subbed to a parent domain.
sub.domain.com
We run our own exchange 2010 separate from domain.com. We want all mail to show up as @domain.com for our users. The @domain.com will be configured to forward to @sub.domain.com. This is free Linux mail server that is separate from us.
In order to configure an email address policy for @domain.com I need to pick from the 3 types. I am pretty sure we are not authoritative for @domain.com (they are the parent). So it is either an internal relay or external relay. We all
use the same networking, and our DNS servers point to domain.com as forwarders and they host a secondary copy of our DNS.
It is a little unclear as to which to use. I have gone to each account individually to test, and that works perfectly, but I would like to set this Globally.

Using a domain name email address with BT broadban...

We've just moved over to BT broadband after 17 years with Demon. I have three email addresses - [email protected] and name at mydomainname.co.uk etc - which I have now pointed to my new btinternet.com address, but after three days of chasing my own tail none of my email is arriving in my BT mailbox.
Our domain names are hosted by Freeparking. We don't have mailboxes there. The mail has previously been forwarded to our Demon account successfully - different domain names frowarding to different underlying demon addresses.
Freeparking indicates that it takes about ten minutes to propagate the forwarding change, so after three days i think I can say that I've given it every opportunity. I don't think the problem is with Freeparking's forwarding. I think it's with BT.
Now, the thing is, besides my three addresses which are not forwarding successfully, there's another domain name address (belonging to my husband) which IS forwarding successfully from Freeparking to BT, but this just happens to be the address we gave to BT as a contact email prior to the changeover from Demon.
My husband thinks this all may be something to do with grey-listing and that the reason the three domain names are not being accepted at BT is something to do with the fact that the addresses have not been verified as legitimate. Unfortunately it seems that the only way they can be verified as a legitimate address is by receiving and returning a verification mail from BT. Which is where our circular logic finally disappears up its own tail-feathers. We can't receive and respond because BT is not accepting the forwarded mail and we have no other method of accessing it.
Help, please.
It looks like we are losing all mail currently sent to those addresses - some of which may be significant business mail that we can't afford to lose.
I really don't want to have to change all my various email addresses (one personal, one business and one hobby-related) to the new BT one. I have 2400 names in my address book. Changing addresses would just add to the nightmare.
I feel particularly p155ed off because one of the questions I asked before moving to BT was whether BT accepted domain name addresses forwarded from Freeparking and was told that it wlouldn't be a problem.
Just as amatter of note, I did call the BT help centre and was told that since my main BT address was working (i.e. receiving and sending direct emails) they had neither the obligation nor the training to solve the domain name problem. Well done BT.

Hi. Welcome to the forums.
Address verification is not actually needed with respect to forwarding of emails.
Do you have another email address (e.g. hotmail, gmail etc) that you can forward one of the email addresses to ? This can help check it's workiing, despite the other domain working ok.
Forgive me for asking, but can you check that the email you're forwarding to is correctly spelt with numbers, periods etc in the right place - it is easy to make a mistake!
Have you checked the Spam folder in webmail in case all the emails have ended up there ?

Masking and Forwarding domain to mac address

Hope I have the lingo correct, but I have a domain address that is on all of my print material. When I developed my site in iWeb, I needed to have only that published domain name appear. I went to my host and had them turn on forwarding and masking, but I can't seem to get it all together to make it happen. Can anyone help and/or guide me?
Question #2: is there some magic to perform in order for my iWeb site to appear correctly in Windows/Internet Explorer and other venues. It seems to have some glitches in other internet software re appearance.

Installing EPM 11.1.2.2 in Sandbox (VM) env - domain needed? How?

Hello,
I am trying to install EPM 11.1.2.2 in a Sandbox (VirtualBox VM) environment. Have the correct OS (Windows 2008 R2 Standard).
Q1: Do you need to have a domain installed (in the VM) to be able to use the "complete" (Essbase, Planning, FR, Workspace, SS, Webanalysis) products?
I completed the install, as per the instructions in the Running_Planning_on_Laptop whitepaper and rapid_deploy Oracle doc, with minor variations.
After the complete install, I was able to access Shared Services, Workspace, etc., without issues resolving the hostname (was finally able to figure that out).
However, when I try to connect EAS to SS, I get authentication issues.
Specifically, when I checked the logs, it has the following lines:

This log is "easserver" in the path:

I only used 3 or 4 user names (mostly defaults), with the same password (in this sandbox env). I don't believe it's possible that every combination is wrong.
I noticed in some documents, it says that, if you run the config utility after install, it automatically converts from NATIVE security to SS security. When I explore SS's security, there is only one "user directory" tree - native, and from what I can see, the user I'm trying to use is there.
I tried to create a (new) MSAD directory in SS to try to make sure / check that the authentication is right, but I do not have a background in Networking, and this is a bit over my head.
I feel like something very basic is wrong, and I'm just not seeing it. It's hard to find what you're looking for when you don't know what it is.

I do not know which \diagnostics\ folder you're referring to. There are many. [I'm sorry, I still have not gotten a handle of the directory structure of EPM 11.1.2.2, as I'm still trying to figure it out]
When I searched the Middleware directory for diagnostics, I found several. The one I think you may be referring to is:
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics\logs\services
If this is what you are talking about, there are four files:

2. HyS9EPMServer-syserr
3. HyS9EPMServer-sysout

Well, that's interesting. When I run cmd 'java -version' in the VM, I get the following message:
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
However, when I check the Uninstall program list (in the VM Win 2008 Server R2 program list), the java version says:

Why that is, I'm not sure.

Domain name/ip address issue with web server

My problem is the reverse of what is normally expected... I can access a website by domain name but not by ip address. Whenever I substitute the website's ip address for the domain name I get 404's.
I'm stumped by this. I can access other websites on the web at large by ip address, but none of the websites hosted on my server will work this way. The domain name works:
http://domain/filename
but
http://ipaddress/filename
returns 404's
Any idea what the problem is?

That's to be expected if you have more than one website configured in IIS. Each website must have a unique identity, made up of the host address, ip address and port number, so in most cases where the webserver only has a single IP address and will obviously
be using port 80 the host name must be different.
If you have only one website, or your website has it's own IP address you can make it accessible via IP. Simply add another identity (like you might have one for mydomain.com and another for
www.mydomain.com), but this time only assign it the IP address and port number, leave the host header value empty. As long as that combination is unique you'll be able to access the website using the IP address. If it's
not unique you'll get an error preventing you from adding the identity, at which point you'll need to find which site it's conflicting with.

Clarification reg Domain Controller IP address change

We are running on Windows MSCS Cluster (Primary / Secondary) for ECC Server.
The MSCS Cluster environment of ECC Server is a member of a Domain Controller.
We are planning to replace the Domain Controller, nevertheless all the settings / user names will remain the same.
The only thing will be changed is the IP Address.
For changing the IP address, we are planning to change the DNS and WINS IP address of the ECC Server accordingly.
Hence needs clarification on the following 2 points:
1. Is OS / SAP System Restart Required ??
For changing the DNS and WINS IP address of ECC Server,
whether the OS / SAP system has to be restarted ?
2. Effect on SAP System / Setting Change required on SAP
We would like to know whether there will be any issues with regard to SAP System Operation.
Especially we would like to know whether any setting changes needs to be done in the SAP System also.

Best Buy DOES need to address all the negative issues with Citibank!

Hi, I've read all the negative posts about Citibank.
I have been a loyal customer of Best Buy for quite some time and have purchased products from washing machines to electric guitars.
I have my own story:
I've had nothing but issues with them since Best Buy went to them. The last 5 bills I've received have been all messed up. Each time it's been for at least 2 hours. I never had problems until the switch to Citibank.
I have several deferred interest purchases. I've taken each of those, divided them by the number of months the contract is for, thus determining how much to pay each month to pay them off by the expiration date. Citibank has screwed them up every month. Distributing them differently than I had requested. One time in "fixing" their mistake, they "mistakenly" added an additional charge of $130 to my account! In reversing that they screwed up other distributions. That's why I've been on the phone with them so long each time. Some of them they still haven't fixed.
One six month account isn't due to expire until 9/16/2014, but the way they are applying the distributions it will be paid off 6/15/2014. A full 3 months before it is due. It obviously saves them having that receivable for 3 months.
Most of the customer Service reps have tried to be helpful but some of the time it is them that do the screw-ups. When I ask to speak to a Supervisor they are usually not helpful or rude. I was talking to one and he wasn't answering my questions, I challenged him and found out he wasn't even listening! Sometimes they say "it was a change that didn't get into the computer right". I've spent my entire career in the computer industry (Retail chains, Discount Chains, Accounts Receivables, and Bank Systems) You NEVER release a change until it has been completely tested. Apparently they have someone totally incompetent that department.
They apparently started a new policy 2 months ago that applied your minimum payment to the your revolving balance (non-promotional) first, if you only had Promotional balances it was applied to the one that would expire first. Again, it's a way for the bank to relieve Receivables earlier than they should. To their benefit.
I don't understand why so many of the Moderators and other responders have to be so rude and condescending to the people in this forum. All we hear is this Mantra that Best Buy has nothing to do with the credit card. Yet, the Logo on the statement says "MY BEST BUY CREDIT CARD". When you pay by mail the payment stub "Make checks payable to "BEST BUY CREDIT SERVICES". When you call they answer "BEST BUY CREDIT SERVICES". And you wonder why people think Best Buy owns the credit cards?
You are correct that Citibank owns the credit cards and processes them. But some Executive at Best Buy initiated having Citibank do this. You talk about it's just a marketing thing to have Best Buy's name on everything. I also noticed that one of the Moderators posted a response to several complaints about no more 18 month deferred purchases that it was Citibank that discontinued them. It seems to be a very popular "marketing thing" for Best Buy also. Why keep a bank that dictates "marketing things" to your company?
Have any of these many complaints been brought to the attention of Best Buy Management? Do they even know about them? If they have, then I would think they would be concerned enough to re-think their decision on a Bank Card Processor.
Many have said they will quit buying from Best Buy. I will not. I like the stores, their merchandise and staff. But I have serious concern that if this problem is not addressed thier may nit be a Best Buy to shop at in the future.
For that reason I am sending a letter to the CEO and CFO regarding this.
I would suggest each person that has complained dothe same. Since the Moderators blocked out the executive's names on one of the posts, you can go to Best Buy.com main page at thew bottom under "Corporate Info/About Best Buy/About Best Buy (yellow Tab)/Executive Team and you will find their names. If you made a purchase using one of our interest free financing offers, to avoid paying the interest, you would need to ensure you were making the minimum monthly payments and paid the full balance by the end of the financing term. For future reference, the promotion expiration will not be the same as the payment due date. The expiration is determined from the date of the purchase. This date would have been clearly marked on each of your billing statements.
If you did make other purchases during the financing period, the payments would have been applied to the account according to the credit card laws as the others have mentioned. It is my understanding that any payments made to the account would first be applied to all minimum payments due for purchases on the account. Next, it would be applied to purchases that have interest charges due. Lastly, if funds remain from the payment, they will be applied to purchases with the financing promotions, in the order they are set to expire.
As you may be aware, Citibank, N.A. is the issuer of your My Best Buy credit card account. Due to this, we have no influence, or access to their accounts or policies. Need http address to stay the same

I have bought our company web address with web forwarding set
up to go to our free ntl web space.
This works fine when you type in the company address. The
problem is if you click on a link on the index page it takes you to
the requested page but the http address changes to show my
unsightly ntl address. I would like to have the company address
showing at all times - so it doesn't update.
I thought the problem might be that I had absolute references
- but as far as I can make out they are all document relative.
I only have one folder - so no sub folders to get confused
with.
The ntl is a directory - so I have framed web forwarding set.
I dont have a host directory specified - could this be a
problem??
Not sure what to look at next?

Domain name forwarding or worse, single frame redirection to
a free host
won't do what you want.
