F10 for nVIDIA RAID BIOS doesnt work.

Like many others I am trying to set up a SATA 1/2 Raid on my MSI NEO2 Platinum 54-G using two WD-Raptors 74Gig.
I've read the FAQ's about how to set up the Raid Array.
So I set up the drives on SATA ports 1 and 2 in the bios (following the instrunctions in the FAQ) and they are recognised under 'Standerd CMOS Feature' in the BIOS.
When it came to rebooting and then pressing F10 to access the 'nVidia Raid BIOS'-so that I could enable Raid 0 stripping on the chosen drives.
I find that I cant get into that part of the BIOS no matter how early or how often I press the F10 button. The system just simply goes past that point as I havn't pressed anything.
I'm using a MS Natural Multimedia Keyboard and don't see why this is happening. I even tried upgrading the BIOS to version 1.2 but still can't access the 'nVidia Raid BIOS' when I press F10 when it asks me to.
Is any one else having this problem? or Knows how to get around it?

usb keyboard does not work for me either for holding down insert to clear overclock. I have to use a ps/2 keyboard for that.
also with usb keyboard i have to press del to enter setup rapidly, with ps/2 i only have to press once. also perfectdisk offline defrag wont start as it cant find a keyboard.
Its all very weird as the keyboard works in bios and dos.
There is an option in bios under integrated peripherals for "legacy usb keyboard support" or something to that effect. try it at enabled. (doesnt help me)

However, sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and you will have to wait for an firmware update for the Bose or an iOS update.

1.90 BIOS Update for Satellite A215-S7437 doesnt work

I tried updating to the latest BIOS 1.90 on my Satellite A215-S7437 laptop but i found out that it froze at saying it was reading Old Bios, i let it sit still for 2 hours and then i did a hard shutdown. Then rebooted laptop, thankfully i did not bricked it had i done so my motherboard would be useless or would it? My knowledge about BIOSes is limited but i do know something didnt go right. Well only reason i was updating was because i saw that it added compatibility with Windows 7 and i plan to get Windows 7. So is it worth the risk or would i be fine installing Windows 7 without the latest update which introduces 2.1 slic.
Also is there a way to check if my old bios didnt get affected, i mean i know laptop is working right now but who knows. If my Bios ever gets bricked what would i do to fix it?
BTW this is the update that i found not to work for me. Even though its for my model of laptop.

If it's working correctly your old bios wasn't affected. Since if froze while READING the bios it hadn't had time to actually write any new information yet. That is what saved you. If it had frozen while WRITING the new data it would have required sending it in to Toshiba for a repair. If you decide to update the bios again you need to read the instructions for flashing From the bootable BIOS installation CD-ROM. That is a MUCH safer way to accomplish this. ALso make sure you are running on AC power. NEVER FLASH WHILE ON BATTERY POWER although you do want the battery installed.
I wouldn't update it unless you have to. Wait to see if Windows 7 is NOT able to install or activate. This is especially true if your system is out of warranty as you'll have to pay to get it fixed.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

Satellite A200-19l driver XP for Nvidia GeForce 7300 not working at all

After downgrading from Vista to XP, my A200-19l doesnt find the Hardware to the GeForce 7300... no driver working, wether Display- or new Forceware drivers from Nvidia homepage. The Hardware Manager still shows a ? for the "Video
controller".... the Geforce 7300 isnt shown at all as Hardware...

Its very simple. You need an compatible graphic driver!!!

Anyway, the graphic driver from the nVidia page should works also!!!
You have to install the driver in the device manger. Dont install it automatically but force the driver installation.
You have to choose Install from a list or specific location (advanced) and then Dont search. I will choose the driver to install.

Trying to install acrobat. Entered in the Redemption Code and it says the purchase has not been activated. Best buy says it has and even included serial number on the receipt to use for activation. Still doesnt work

Because Adobe also gives me a redemption code inside the package to receive a serial online I tried this and it also says inactive redemption code. I called Best Buy and they say it has been activated on their end and the issue must be taken up with ADOBE.

RAID Bios loading randomly?

When I boot my machine, for no apparent reason, the nVidia RAID bios version 4.60 will load up and say "Detecting RAID array..." or whatever, and hang there, even though I explicitly have RAID disabled in the bios! I am running bios 1.41 at this point, but I have tried 1.36 and 1.37 with no better results.... I have also cleared CMOS via the jumper....
Any thoughs on the problem?

Upgrade to bios version 1.5. This will update the raid controller. Ive just had the same problem with the raid hanging but i had raid. found out that one of my sata drives had gone so i bought a weston digital raptor instead to replce the drives.

Installed a RAID card in my Dell Inspiron 3847. However, the RAID BIOS does not show up and I cannot install Windows 7 to it.

That is basically a summary of the problem The Dell Inspiron 3847 does not come with RAID, so I tried installing a PCI-express 1x RAID card. However, the RAID BIOS never shows up. The HDDs show up when I install the RAID controller driver in Windows 7 setup, but I cannot install Windows 7. I am using an IOCrest SY-PEX40008 RAID card with a Silicon Image Sil3124 chipset.
I tried pressing the hotkeys for the RAID BIOS listed in the card's manual, but it seems to just cause bootup to freeze. BIOS also does not seem to detect the RAID card HDDs as boot options.

The video card and hardware MPE is not the holy grail. It helps in some circumstances to improve performance and rather significantly, but in other instances it does not help at all, as is indicated in the link above. People often think that installing a super fast video card will reduce export times by a significant amount of time. That is not true. It only helps in a limited number of situations. Keep in mind that:
Encoding to an export format is done by the CPU, not the GPU. No performance gain from a video card.
Frame rate changes, frame blending is done by a suitable video card, for instance exporting to 24P from 29.97i or 60P. Here there is a clear performance gain.
Scaling is also helped by hardware MPE, for instance going from 4K to HD or from HD to SD. Again a clear performance gain.
Rendering for preview is helped by the video card only for accelerated effects.

Scripts in InteractiveForm of Webdynpro doesnt work

I am using InteractiveFrom UI element in my Webdynpro Project.
I am able to give the inputs in Inputfields and call the button Actions etc.
But I have a scenario where there is a Drop down list and on select of a particular value in the dropdown list I need to make some fields visible or invisible.
I wrote Script for this but it doesnt work.
I heard from my colleague that the Adobe form should be having Dynamice property set but I have no clue how to set its property.
Could you please help me out in this.
the code I am using in the script is as below :

I have written the code for eventing (Scripts) and the scripts are working fine as i get alerts when i debug but depending on the value of the drop down selected i need to set some fields to Visible. This action is not being performed.
I feel that the form is acting as a Static form .
May be there is a way where i can set it to DynamicForm.
This has to be done in webdynpro Context i guess.

Restrictions password doesnt work

Today for the first time since 2007, my 4 digit passcode for the iPhone Restrictions doesnt work. I have not changed it. I have not forgotten it. Why? Is there an iCloud type problem today? How do I fix it and reset this password? I was already at my wits end with IOS7 and this just about finishes me off, but if anyone knows how to fix it, that would be very helpful. Thanks

what about restoring from backup? There has to be something I can do besides trash aboslutely everything and destroy 6 years of perfectly crafting the best iphone setup! I havent forgotten anything!! Is there an iCloud glitch today? I mean it seriously wouldnt be the first one. After all since the dreaded IOS 7 update it still wants me to 'confirm iCloud terms and conditions' and then claim its 'unabe to connect to the server', which is clearly a BUG... Again, are these types of errors in some way connected?

The following article provides some useful troubleshooting that may help get your sleep/wake button working again.
Sleep/Wake button won't lock or unlock iPhone
To lock the phone, press the Sleep/Wake button. Note: By default, if you don't touch the screen for a minute, iPhone locks automatically.
To unlock iPhone, press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button, then slide the slider.
If either of the above steps don't work, try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the iPhone will not power off, reset it.
Try to lock or unlock the phone.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
