F60webmx relink issue fails in 11.5.10.2 - applying upgrade patch 13384700

Upgrading the DB from 9i to 11gR2 following recommended patch list and was got struck when applying Developer 6i PAtch 19
1. 7456837 -- Reported relink issue, but was not clear which one it was, so choose to
Continue as if it were successful :
2. 6194129 -- Completed successfully
3. 9935935 -- Completed successfully
4. Applied the additional patches
4a. 7423534 -- Completed successfully
4b. 13384700 -- as part of the special note when I tried to relink following Special Note in README
% adrelink.sh force=y "fnd f60webmx" it fails with the following message
Checked the /dev_sysdict/apps/appldev/admin/out/link_fnd_24670.mk file used to make /dev_sysdict/apps/appldev/fnd/11.5.0/bin/f60webmx
But it did not make that file, since it is not created & file missing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem Description: adrelink failed on ENCACN and WICMEX with:
bin/sh: g++: command not found

we found that there was no g++ on the /usr/bin directory of the servers. We asked the os admin to rename g++323 as g++. aftewr he did, the error is the following:
ld: crtbegin.o: No such file: No such file or directory
make: *** [d01/oracle/debsappl/eng/11.5.0/bin/ENCACN] Error 1
Now we realized that the g++323 we renamed to g++ was actually version 3.4.3. Now we have the actual 3.2.3 renamed to g++. We run autoconfig again and the error is now the following:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [p01/oracle/pebsappl/eng/11.5.0/bin/ENCACN] Error 1
This is a 11.5.10.2 on Linux RHEL 4 update 3.
This is a new client so we dont know what heppened when they installed the system.
Do you thinks we should ask them to re-install the gcc package? Could this affect other instances on the server?

My goal is to have a claims based web application that authenticated to ADAM for Extranet. I have configured the servers exactly to MSDN and technet specs (following this spec to the
letter (

I have tried EVERYTHING (well, nt everything, I don’t have the fix I suppose).
I found plenty out there and nothing directly correlates with this issue.
I searched on all parts of the errors I got.
This contains an interesting blurb about setting up access for the apppool id correctly.
That’s not the case for me. It works in dev and the same id are used there.

You say its a multiserver farm, do you have more than one web server then?
If thats the case, have you tried accessing the site on each server directly?

UNX issue : Failed to initialize Query Panel (service issue?)

Hello all,
For a couple off days now we are trying to use universe(s) in Desing studio with no luck.
We use the Efashion single source relational universe on which we can run Webi's without a problem . When we add a datasource in DS we see and can select the unx but when we push the "edit query specification" button DS freezes and return the error : Failed to initialize Query Panel
We just upgrade tot DS1.2 SP01 both on server side as on client side.

Hi Bram,
I had a look in your Java-Exception and there a connectionserver is missing.
I know that there are two kind of connection servers 32 and 64 Bit. Do one of your APS Servers have connectivity and connectivity 32 Bit ???
I had an issue when i first wanted to use a .unx connection with DS with my splitted APS.
I had one APS only containing the Analysis service. To get to run my .unx access i had to add the Adaptive connectivity Service to the APS containing the analysis service.
On top of that i had to add the DSL Bridge (otherwise my adaptive connectivity Service did not start)
Perhabs this helps you out.

Issue with the material field in ME23N after upgrade

Hi Experts,
We are having an issue with transaction ME23N in ECC6.0 after upgrade from 4.6c.
In this transaction for the given PO the value of the material is not populating. The material coloumn is displaying but the value of the material is not coming.
For the same PO with the same data we are able to see the material number in ME23N in 4.6c.
Please help me to resolve this.

Hi,
If you are a functional consultant then check the configuration settings in SPRO and compare it with the one in 4.6c system to find if the material number display in ME23N is enabled in your new system or not. Go to tcode SPRO and Material Management-> Purchasing->Purchase Order->Define Screen Layout at Document level.
Execute this and select on ME21N or tcode that you are having problem with. Then press details button and double click on Enjoy fields. Check if it Display check box is ticked or not.

Issues with downloading Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 Security Patch

Hi,
I am having issues downloading Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1 update security patch. I go to the Download Now & click on it, that brings up the File Download, where it states do you want to open or save and I click on the open and that brings up a window, showing the earth at one end, files being copied to a temporary file, but the percent of files being sent stays at 0 and there is no green bars on the status bar.
What is going on please? I was able to download the security patch for Adobe Reader 8.3.1, but the Acrobat isn't working.

Errors with SAP GUI 7.10 issues with IE 7.0? and most curr patches?

We are attempting to patch our SAP GUI 7.0 with the most recent GUI patches
GUI patch 12
BW patch 500
BI patch 900
we are applying these patches to correct the following
>preview and printing of blank pages with web browser(ie 6.0)
>german lang. toolbar appearing
>missing active components when using analyzer (BW 3x)
>BI rspc error 'x dump'
these issues above have been corrected, however we are now having issues with this GUI and IE 7.0 , printing errors
As anyone had these same issues above, and could you recommend on what patch combination (if any) have corrected them
We have worked on this project for the last few months, to get the correct combination of patches that would not break anything else installed. But, now we are finding that we may have issues with IE 7,0 and the SAP GUI with the above patches.

Issue in MSS Report - Team Absence Overview after backend patching

Hi Experts,
We have SAP EP 640 SP23 connected to backend ERP2004 SP23. we have applied SAP_HRCGB patch 60 on backend system and now facing issues in accessing MSS reports from portal - Team Absence Overview, Basic Employee Data,etc.
Exception from defaulttrace is :
com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentException: Error in service call of Portal Component
Component : pcd:portal_content/Pearson/com.pearson.Roles/com.pearson.FT-UK2/com.pearson.MSS_UK2/com.pearson.employee_review_2/com.sap.pct.hcm.eeprofilemonitoringoftasks
When we apply patches in backend system (for SAP_HR component), is it mandatory to apply patches for the deployed ESS/MSS business packages in portal also. And where can we find the information which patch of business package is corresponding to backend patches.
Would highly appreciate your help.

yes its mandatory to upgrade both FRONT END And backend to the compatible levels.
You cant have one at a higher level than other.
You need to read the notes which are regularly updated by SAP.
You can search for these notes by giving Stack level
Service.sap.com
