Relink issue on EBs11i

Problem Description: adrelink failed on ENCACN and WICMEX with:
bin/sh: g++: command not found
make: *** [d01/oracle/debsappl/wip/11.5.0/bin/WICMEX] Error 127
we found that there was no g++ on the /usr/bin directory of the servers. We asked the os admin to rename g++323 as g++. aftewr he did, the error is the following:
ld: crtbegin.o: No such file: No such file or directory
make: *** [d01/oracle/debsappl/eng/11.5.0/bin/ENCACN] Error 1
Now we realized that the g++323 we renamed to g++ was actually version 3.4.3. Now we have the actual 3.2.3 renamed to g++. We run autoconfig again and the error is now the following:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [p01/oracle/pebsappl/eng/11.5.0/bin/ENCACN] Error 1
This is a 11.5.10.2 on Linux RHEL 4 update 3.
This is a new client so we dont know what heppened when they installed the system.
Do you thinks we should ask them to re-install the gcc package? Could this affect other instances on the server?
Thanks for reading. i know is a complicated issue but oracle supports is not helping to much.

Husseim,
Thanks for you answer. i have checked the note of the invalid objects but i dont think its related. We have three instances on the node and all have the same relink issue.
I have checked the OS packages and Im sure I have all the requested packages:

  • Relink Issue or just warning

Hi Just installed 11.5.10 vision on a 64 bit linux system (Fedora 4 x86_64), following all the links and trobleshooting notes ( relatively easy really).
I am now upgarding ro 11.5.10.2 and applying the new ilog libraries. Relink MST and get lots of the following:
/usr/bin/ld: `.L1917' referenced in section `.rodata' of /oracle/appl/mst/11.5.0/lib/libmst.a(mstegfnm.o): defined in discarded section `.TPFileNameS::gnu.linkonce.t.setFileName(int, char *, bool)' of /oracle/appl/mst/11.5.0/lib/libmst.a(mstegfnm.o)
    or
    /usr/bin/ld: `.L13033' referenced in section `.rodata' of
    /oracle/appl/mso/11.5.0/lib/libmso.a(msopomdl.o): defined in discarded
    section `.SCOProfileOptions::gnu.linkonce.t.(void)' of
    /oracle/appl/mso/11.5.0/lib/libmso.a(msopomdl.o)
    Different "L" numbers
Also other similar error in msc and mso.. All the exec's appear to compile with no issues, but not actually ran them. Are thesejsut warnings?
It is only the planning modules effected. Others such as FND are ok
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
CAn you try to run any executable from planning module and let me know the result.
Also try to relink only one execuatble of planning module and see if it gives any error/warning?
    thanks

  • Offline/Relink/ Issue-help please

    Hi All,
I have a project that has over 100 shots that are spread out over 4 Hard drives. (i know, stupid)
I spent the other night making a copy of EACH shot (image sequences, mov,Dpx) and putting them into a brand new hard drive.
I made every clip in the timetime (project panel) "OFFLINE"
I then selected all shots, (righ-clicked-RELINK)
I browsed over to my new Hard drive, selected "find exact name"/ and selected the file.
Ok, It relinked to the new location, but ONLY the 1st Shot, all others got RELINKED back to their original paths.
There is no way I could RELINK all 100  shots one at a time,...I  would be there for days!
Any suggestions on how to RELINK 100 shots?
    Thanks,
    Lou

    Project manager?..Ha, you're funny.
I don't think I have ever used that without MAJOR Issues, for me anyway.
Back in cs4, I waited 16 hrs for it to transfer. I shut it down and did it manual (took 1 hr)
Never tried it cs5, maybe it's better.

  • Photo files disapearing from hard Drive while using Lighroom not relink issue, any ideas?

I've been using Lightroom and while using it files have been disappearing, I understand how to relink the files, it's not that.
The file folders are showing up but the files are missing. Not all files are affected. They haven't been in my trash.
Seagate have sent me a 'What a shame, it's not our fault email' Won't be buying any more of their products. They say it's a lightroom / Mac OS problem.
Does anyone know how I can retreive these missing files? If they've had the same problem? Thank you.

Does anyone know how I can retreive these missing files?
    Restore from your backup copies
Download and install an "undelete utility" (there are free ones available) and see if it can recover the files

  • Indesign CS6 - Relinking issues

    Anybody had the same problem.
Indesign CS6 not recognising links of the same name. Also when hitting the skip button, it now closes the window instead of going onto next image (Link)?
Was never a problem in CS4
    Please help

The issues you are having can be caused by driver conflicts on the Operating system. If windows * installed the drivers automatically, it may be the wrong drivers. If they were installed from the disc, they may be outdated for Windows 8.
    Please take the following steps.
    1. If printer is connected by usb, disconnect the usb cable from the computer. If printer is connected on network, turn printer off.
    2. Click start then click "Devices and Printers".
    3. Right click on printer icon and click "Remove Device"
    4. After icon is gone, single left click on Microsoft Document writer and then click Print server Properties at top of page.
    5. Click on the drivers tab at the top of that window. Select anything that says "Oki" and select remove. Then select remove driver and driver package.
The driver package may not remove but it's ok as long as the driver is successfully removed.
    6. Go to okidata.com and click on "Support" at top of page. In the grey area, select download a driver.
    7. Next to select technology, click the dropdown window and select multifunctional product.
    8. Another dropdown window will appear. Select the MC860MFP.
    9. You will see three boxes. The center one will be titled "Find a Driver". Select Windows 7 X64 edition.
    10. Select English MC860nMFP Series 64 Bit PS Driver for Windows (This will be the fifth option down.)
    11. In the Driver Download Info box to the right, click the blu underlined file titled MC860Win7x64PS_ENU130.exe
    12. Follow the installation instructions.

  • HELP!!! Clip Relinking Issue

Okay - here's something new - and annoying: I am trying to relink a whole bunch of files (due to a NAS crash). The problem is - somewhere down the line, FCP has changed clips with longer names to abbreviated versions of their names. It cuts off the clip name after about 22 characters, and adds a number. For example, if I assign a clip name something like "WSRain_Stormw-Lightning," FCP changes that name somewhere to read "WSRain_Stormw-Lightn #5345." So when I go to relink the media, it looks for the the ABBREVIATED name. The clip, however, retains the ORIGINAL, longer name, so fcp fails to make the connection. There are almost 900 clips & files associated with the project and it's only recognizing about 400 of them. I could turn off the "Matched Name Only" toggle and manually relink each file, but that would take forever!
The only thing I can find in the manual is that "fcp CAN handle long clip names, but other systems can't" (p I-239). It also mentions that MAC OS versions made prior to OSX only allow 31 characters (p I39). But we're running dual 2-gig G5s w/OSX 10.4.
So, how can I remedy the file name conflict in a timely and efficient manner?
    Thanks,
    Tim Walton
    KVIE Public Television

How was the drive that the files were saved onto formatted? That could be the problem. And what is a NAS crash? Keeping the length of file names in control is important for a lot of reasons. FCP will add characters to file names when you create a freeze and then export it. I think there are other examples where this may happen. When you export a file to use in another application and then application appends additional characters a filename you thought was safe suddenlyl isn't. Also, avoid ever using nonstandard characters (like / or *) in anything that may land up as a file name. If you're not paying attention and you've used one of these characters in a sequence name and you export the sequence, you may have serious problems that can be difficult to troubleshoot.

  • Indesign relink issue with netgear readyNAS

  • Relink image issue

    Relink issue
In the new InDesign CS4 when relinking an image via the links pallet the relinked file is "automatically reduced" to fit the current picture box. How can I turn this function off?

Preferences > File Handling > Images > Relink Preserves Dimensions
Actually it is in CS3 also.

  • Relinking project files on imovie 9.0.9

I have some projects i want to go back to and re-edit (which wasn't expected before). As it wasn't expected, i deleted the event that contained the original video files and now i have the yellow triangle with '!' on all of my projects. there is a page in the help section about relinking project files and this seems to be what i need. However, step 1 is to select the files i want to relink (Done), then step two it to 'chose file > Relink project files' but i can't find this option?!?! This is then meant to bring up a box containing all the files that need relinking and i can  do it from there. Need help with step 2 please!

Also, I tried re-importing the original files to iMovie but this has made no difference. If anyone has any other suggestions to get around the relinking issue - help!

  • InDesign CS 5.5 file relink error

    Hello all...
One of our designers has a problem with modified links messages whenever he opens an In-Design file. In every file he opens, the links all show up as modified. If another user on the network opens the same file, the links show up as OK. Once he updates the file and saves it back, any other user that opens that file then shows the links as modified.
We have a dozen users, all Mac-based (10.6.8), all using CS5.5. We use a central Mac file server. Users copy a file to their desktop make corrections and then copy it back to the server. The server contains all the graphics linked within the file. The same problem arises when he opens a file directly off the server over the network, so it is not the physical location of the file. His file-sharing preferences on the server are the same as other users.
The only other issue (that we will be fixing soon) is that all the Macs, even though they are all synched to the Apple Americas/U.S. time server (time.apple.com), have different times on their computer (by a few minutes each way). While this has given us some problems in the past with people opening up the most recent file, but the date showing it was older, etc, this problem isn't happening with other Macs, whether they are set at a more recent time or older.
    Any ideas?

As a rule, yes, but in this case, it doesn't matter if the individual machines are off because whether they are timed before or after this one, they don't have the relink issue. Besides, some of the files are months (or years) old and they (or their path) have not been modified in that time.
We are working on getting a network synch to the main server, but it has been sketchy in the past.

  • Premiere projects stored on external hard drive & re-editing

Hi guys, I seem to be one of the few Mac users editing on Premiere Pro 5.5 with AVCHD (from Panasonic HDC-SD700) files. Luckily I can use even the 1080p/50 files, but I have this problem: After I move the project folder (all Premiere files inc. the footage which I store copying everything from SD-cards and not changing the file names) to an external hard drive and later copy it back onto the computer for further editing, it asks where the files are. This should be fine if I know where the original file is but the problem arises as I am not renaming the footage - I understand this could be a problem with AVCHD files - and it is impossible for me to know which one of the 00000.MTS or 00004.MTS files is the correct one. (This obviously only applies to projects where I have recorded footage on more than one SD-card. In my case all the projects seem to be that big - I am an artist rather than a computer person. Apologies if the lingo is not quite right!) I tend to edit hours of footage together by speeding it up and using split-screen. Is there an easy way around this problem when saving the projects on an external hard drive or should I just start changing the file names to something like SD1clip1 without a worry? Or do I just randomly choose one of the similarly numbered clips and check if it happened to be the correct one and everything in the project falls in place? This seems silly and time-consuming too. Many thanks for your suggestions. Elisa

according to other opinions in different threads NOT to put all media in one folder, i wouldn't necessarily go with this approach. sometimes it's the best you can do. and you can always manage your footage with the editing programm, creating folders and alike.
in some cases you're left with no choice - in AVID e.g. unless you use its AMA (avid media acess) interfaceand sort of soft-link to your media AVID will first transcode and then story everything in one folder by default. it then creates a little index file that tells you right away if something is missing.
personally, if i knew i have multiple folders with the same structure and file names i cannot change (cause it'd disrupt the file structure), i'd definitely put in the initial time to transcode to not to run into obstacles later on.
advantages: better codec, less choppy playback, less rendering, no relink issues
disadvantages: transcoding time, less disk space, probably larger files
sure, nowadays software is designed to avoid just that and all my conversations with PP pros showed me that the basic thought behind PP is to "just slam your footage in and start editing" - but this isn't always the wisest choice. not because the software is not able to handle the codecs - but because you'll run into problems with data structures.
plan your postproduction like you would plan a nice dinner.
chop the onions before the pan is hot.

    hi Ed,
your log clearly states that there is some problem with your glibc kernel, and there are some relinking issues also.
I suggest you to download the glibc and extract that tar file , which produces one shell script , run it and mostly your problem gets solved. By the way dont forget to copy the relink file in $ORACLE_HOME/bin.
    get back after your attempt
    regards
