FAGLFLEXA - Transaction Currency vs Document (Original Transaction Currency

Hi
I have seen entries sitting in the FAGLFLEXA table - where for a single FI document there are multiple Transaction Currencies eg
           TC      LC       GC       OrigTrnsCrcy
Doc 1 USD   GBP    GBP      USD
Doc 1 GBP   GBP    GBP      USD
In the header of the document, this document is showing with USD as the document currency.
I thought TC was Document Currency - so is this normal behaviour ?
Regards

Murali
in FAGLFLEXA, we have the following value fields;
TSL     VTCUR12     CURR     23     2     Value in Transaction Currency
HSL     VLCUR12     CURR     23     2     Value in Local Currency
KSL     VGCUR12     CURR     23     2     Value in Group Currency
OSL     VOCUR12     CURR     23     2     Value in Another Currency
MSL     QUAN1_12     QUAN     23     3     Quantity
WSL     VWCUR12     CURR     23     2     Value in Original Transaction Currency (Document Currency)
As you can see there is Transaction Currency & Original Transaction Currency (Document Currency).
I am trying to understand why these 2 fields would contain different currencies upon posting.

    Hi,
All the AA reports will output the data based on the currencies that are used in the dep areas of asset master.
In generak 01 area will have LC.
If you want to see asset transactions in DOC curr, go to FBL3N for the asset related recon accounts and choose field like Amt in doc curr and Doc curr.
Hope you have set line item display for your asset related recon accounts in FS00.
    Thanks,

  • Difference between transaction currency and document currency.

    Hi All,
Would like to know the difference between transaction currency and document currency. If we want to draw both the figures from the GL account, which table can i use?
    Thanks,
    Mercy

    Hey,
Having transaction currency and document curreny in one document would be strange.
Document currency is something you would see in a FI document, whereas transaction currency is part of a CO document.
In finance documents you would talk about document currenty and local currency for instance.
In CO documents, the currency field you can find are transaction currency, object currency en controlling area currency.
In most cases the document currency in FI would be considered the transaction currency in CO.  The local currency in FI would be the object currency in CO.
    Hope this helps,
    Koen

  • Set up automatically Currency/rate in FB01 transaction

    Hi friends,
Let me know if someone can help me.
I would like to set up automatically currency/rate field (BKPF-WAERS) in FB01 transaction, I mean, when the user entries on the transation automatically this field should be set up.
    Thanks
    Daniel Dorta

    Hello,
Now you have three options for currency.
    Go to FB00
    "Default Document Currency" area
    Local Currency
    Last document currency used
    None
If you select none - no default currency gets filled in FB00
Note that this is only for currency.
If you want to put an exchange rate, then it needs to be ENTERED MANUALLY. Not automatically picked up from OB08. There may be difference between OB08 and ENTERED MANUALLY, then the system issue a warning message.
    Hope this solves your issue.

    Hi Rob,
Thank you very much  for your reply.
I tried to add an event in the maintenace using SE54 transaction, I am able create an entry for the event. but it is neither allowing me to include that particular part of code in any of the  available includes nor creating a  new include.
This is the issue I am facing.

  • Define lead currency in tx.1 (foreign currency transactions)

    Hi sap gurus,
we wanna make an foreign currency selling operation in TX.1 (forex fast entry) but we got the following message :
No currency pair is defined for currencies CAD TRY
    Message no. T7020
    Diagnosis
There is no currency pair defined for the currencies you have entered.
    Procedure
Maintain an entry under 'Define lead currency' in the Customizing settings.
    i check the currency customizings

    Hi,
You have to maintain a leading currency for this currency pair under the configuration:
financial supply chain management -- Treasury and Risk management --  Transaction manager -- General Settings -- Transaction management -- Currencies -- Define Leading currency.
In this you have to maintain a value for the currency pair.

  • Local, Document and Third Currency Driven Amount?

Guys, in the presentation and RPD layer, i see local, document amounts for just about every Fin Analytics subject area.
What if the we want to have a "reporting" currency in EURO (example only). How do we expose that column into presentation layer?
I see no "Global" column in the RPD except the following:
Global Currency Code --> Currency Attributes
Balance Global1 Amount --> Facts - GL Balance
What about something like "Global Amount" which show data in EURO.
    Thanks for any pointers.

    HI,
The currency codes for the GLOBAL currencies are set in DAC configuration. See section "3.1.2 How to OCnfigure Global Currencies" in the "Oracle® Business Intelligence Applications Configuration Guide for Informatica PowerCenter Users Version 7.9.6.1 " manual if you are on 7.9.6.1 or 2 or the same section in the 7.9.6.3 version of the manual if that is appropriate.
This goes through how to set your Global Currencies so they are populated correctly in the datawarehouse.
For example if you set Global1 to be EUR then your Balance Global1 Amount --> Facts - GL Balance presentation column will be in EUR.
Alos in ither financial SA's the GLOBAL1 amount is used as the amount e.g. AP Amount -> Facts AP Transactions. If you look at the Logical source for this it's computed from the GLOBAL1 columns.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Prasad,
In Logistics Invoice Verification, when you enter an invoice in foreign
currency, the system automatically translates the foreign currency
amounts to local currency. The system calculates the exchange rate using
    the following rule:
1.If the buyer entered a fixed exchange rate in the purchase order, the
system uses this rate to translate the amounts to local currency.
2.If an exchange rate was entered in Invoice Verification, the system
uses this rate to translate the amounts to local currency.
3.If an exchange rate was entered neither in the purchase order nor in
Invoice Verification, the system uses the exchange rate pre-defined in
Customizing for Financial Accounting valid for the posting date.
    Exchange Rate Differences
If a purchase order is entered in foreign currency, the amounts are
translated from foreign currency into local currency at goods receipt.
If you enter the invoice for the purchase order in the foreign currency,
this can lead to currency translation differences between the goods
    receipt and the invoice receipt.
How these differences are posted depends on how your system is
configured in Customizing for Invoice Verification
    Exchange Rate Rounding Differences
When an invoice is posted in a foreign currency, the amounts are translated into local currency.Since the system rounds off the amounts in each posting line, this can lead to rounding differences due to the currency translation.
These differences are posted to an expense or income account.
Addition in transaction OB22 for the second local currency, it should be defined 'Translation taking transaction currency as a basis' is defined.
Pls. also  refer to note:335608  Trnsln of 2nd and 3rd lcl crcy fm 1st lcl/trns crcy.
I hope the above information helps you out......

  • Local Currency vs Document currency

    Hi,
    I have a question,
what is the difference b/w Local Currency and Document Currency.
    Thanks,
    Pria

    HI Pria...
Local currencey is Company specific...for different companies there will be different local currency...
Document currency is related to FI...Currency in which a document is posted........
And as per SD.....Currency in which the total values in a sales and distribution document are calculated.
    As per BI....
In SAP systems, every amount key figure is stored with respect to a currency key field. There are several
types of currency keys on OLTP data. The two most important currency types are the document (or
transaction) currency (BI InfoObject 0DOC_CURRCY) and the local (or company code) currency (BI
InfoObject 0LOC_CURRCY. The document currency is entered for each posting transaction of an OLTP
document-type record (for example financial documents), whereas the local currency is uniquely assigned to a company code when the OLTP system is customized.
So, the local currency can be used as a common currency for cross-application BI reporting (that is a
common reporting currency). Besides the document currency, every record within the final InfoProviders of the BI system should contain the local currency and the corresponding amounts with respect to the local currency.

  • ICR - Currency of document group in assigned documents

I have read all threads on ICR and thanks to you have been successful in configuration for Process 003. However, the currency of document group = EUR. Both co codes local currency = USD, as well as transaction and group currency. From whence is the EUR?
    Many thanks,
    Carol

Many thanks, Ralph. Unfortunately, when I go to FBIC010 to drill into process 003, I get error message below for which I have requested an OSS note to be applied.
Ledger 0L is not a valid sender ledger
    Message no. FB_ICRC114
    Diagnosis
You have specified ledger 0L as sender ledger for process 003. For process 003 the sender ledger must use totals table FBICRC003T. Ledger 0L uses totals table FAGLFLEXT.
    System response

Specify a ledger which uses totals table FBICRC003T.

  • Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251)

    Hello Gurus,
We have a problem in the Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251), resulting from the idoc WPUUMS01. When is the posting date before the current period.
    example:
    Material X
    August  Moving Price  150u20AC >>Total Stock 10 Total Value1500u20AC
September Moving Price  181.82u20AC >> Total Stock 11 Total Value 2000u20AC
If we integrate an August sale, the system registers the document with the cost of September (Amount Local Currency 181.82u20AC).
After registration of the document is the stock with the following values
    August Total Stock 9 >>Total Value 1318,19u20AC
September Total Stock 9 >> Total Value 1636,36u20AC
If we manually register the movement 251 by MIGO or MB11  with a date of August, the system records the cost value of 150u20AC (MAP August).
    Any suggestion?

    Vera Monteiro

  • Document Split for Currency Exchange while posting Incoming payment

    Hi Experts,
    Scenario:
    > Post incoming Customer payments using F-28
    > posting entered today (14 Jan 2009), but posting date is 30 Dec 2008)
    > Tested in Clients 001 and 005 (same setup in terms of GLs, Customers, Vendors, etc)
I was able to post the incoming payment in Client 005.  However, in Client 001, I got error message:
*Ex.rate diff.accts are incomplete for account 0000140000 (Trade Debtors/Customers) currency SGD
    Message no. F5063
    Diagnosis
The accounts for posting exchange rate differences could not be determined. For the specified G/L account and the specified currency key, the accounts are only specified incompletely. Either the accounts for the implemented exchange rate difference, the accounts for the valuation differences or the balance sheet adjustment account are missing.
    System Response
The system cannot generate the exchange rate difference posting.
    Procedure
By pressing ENTER, you achieve that the document is reset to a status without automatic posting. In another window, you can complete default settings for exchange rate differences and post the document afterwards.
    Proceed*
When I clicked Proceed, the system took me to OBA1, with "Document Split for Currency Exchange" option highlighted in blue.
Does this mean that I need to create a new GL account to post Document Split for Currency Exchange?
Note: Setup for OBA1 both 001 and 005 are the same. But I only encountered the error in 001.
    Hope someone can help me.
    Thanks...

problem solved: add relevant Open Item GLs in OBA1 (Account Determination for OI Exchange Rate Differences)

  • Creation of new numbering interval for FI documents - FBN1 transaction

    Dear Experts, good day!
When trying to create new numbering intervals for FI documents (FBN1 transaction), inserting the needed entries to a  customizing request (only those new entries, related to future years) and release it to the Quality environment, we have noted the new entries didn't get into the destination system.
Have someone seen this before? Would you know why does that happen? How can we transfer the NRIV table contents to the other environments (Quality and Production)?
    Thanks a lot,
    Daniel.

To copy number ranges to a new year you do with the transaction OBH2.
When you want to transport number ranges you ask for problems. Only for a new implementation you can do it but not when there are existing number ranges with postings for that company
