Fail in Patch FND.G
Hi All
I try several times in patching FND.G on my 11.5.8 system but fail at each time.
I have applied AD.H successfully and apply c driver of the FND.G well, but when I try to apply d driver for the FND, it always warn my FNDLIBR error then my works pending. I try to re-started all the service apstrall apps/apps
some commands fail in starting up and show me following errors
ORACLE error 4068 in afpodbinit
Cause: afpodbinit failed due to ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded
ORA-04063: package body "APPS.FND_GLOBAL" has errors
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
ORA-06512: at line 1.
The SQL statement being executed at the time of the error was: begin fnd_global.initialize(:session_id, :user_id, :resp_id, :resp_appl_id, :security_group_id, :site_id, :login_id, :conc_login_id, :prog_appl_id, :conc_program_id, :conc_request_id, :conc_priority_request, :form_id, :form_application_id, :conc_process_id, :conc_queue_id, :queue_appl_id, :server_id); fnd_profile.put('MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID', :l); fnd_profile.put('MFG_CHART_OF_ACCOUNTS_ID', :m); fnd_profile.put('APPS_MAINTENANCE_MODE', :amm); end; and was executed from the file &ERRFILE.
CAn anyone help me out , I am mad on it
Regards
Hi
I know such error occured by some invalid objects or packages but I apply the patch following oracle docs and should be exact.
When I apply d driver of the FND.G , I notice lots of objects are invalid, what is wrong, I am pretty sure they are valid before apply d driver.
I use 11.5.8 with 8.1.7, is it the problem that I fail in applying such patch since I think 11.5.9 use 9i instead of 8i

TarekWere you able to find a solution to this issue? I am having the same problem, different patch. I have 8 failed workers, all with the same error. Different jar files. I can only think that I have some issue with java on my server.

Greetings, I appreciate your help. I am brand new with PSE but I am AMAZED Adobe Chat does NOT support when one of their own updates failed to install. Amazed! So, here I am.
I downloaded and installed the latest update, 9.0.3, just now on May 10, 2012. It failed saying Patch can not be installed. I have NOT a CLUE where to go from here. Can anyone PLEASE either help me directly OR direct me to someone or a resource who can?
Thank you.

Thank you. My initial response to your comment was, "I don't have a clue what you mean by "floating windows." HOWEVER,I took your link and read your posted article. I now understand the context which is sufficient for now. I am truly a brand NEW user that has NOT used PSE 9.0 AT ALL. It came on my new Dell PC and I've done nothing beyond registering it UNTIL today when the update showed up. I figured my PC was "on the shelf" a few months between manufacture and delivery so I've been accepting updates for much of what came pre-installed. NOW, HOWEVER, THANKFULLY you have alerted me to some Tom Foolery going on with the product.
Question: since I got an error during install of 9.0.3 should I consider it INSTALLED or should I proceed and ignore this little charade even happened since it would not have installed? If I need to reinstall, I will wait for your advice, then I have a CD or DVD that Dell shipped with my PC. Should I use that? The link you give in your posted article, is the link to download to reinstall 9.0 or is that for something else, like support?
I am sorry I am so naive with Adobe 9.0. Yet, it is this naivete that makes me ever so much more grateful for your jumping to my situation.
Thank you,
Toad -
Update failed. this patch is not applicable to you
I can't open After Effects CS6 in OS 10.10.1.
Adobe says to download the update.
The update says: Update Failed: This patch is not available to you.I can't add an update from the Help menu if I can't open the App.
Blah.I think it was CC 13.2 ? Or similar. I was following the directions of what it said I should do,
as others couldn’t open After Effects when they upgraded their OS X.
However I went to Adobe and am now downloading what seems to be free versions.
All I wanted to use After Effects for, was to touch up super-8 film that I was editing in FCP.
However I discovered that I can do it in Photoshop, so I’m trying that.
But maybe this download will work.. -

Dreamweaver download prob which version of Dreamweaver are you trying to install? What version of Mac OS do you have installed on your new MacBook Air? Finally what specific update is failing?

Good evening
Running a freshly installed 11/06 build of solaris 10 x86, I don't have any issues with smc. Immediately after patching, installing all recommended patches, smc so longer starts up.

I'm guessing that something got horked up during patching, however, I'm not really sure which one(s) might have done so. Anyone have any ideas?
-MattI'm more familiar with the similarly-named Sun Management Center, but I think this may be a Java compatibility issue: possibly the patched version requires a later version of java. It would help to know which version's in your environment (java -version).

AIA Deployment Failed After Patching
Hi Oracle Community,
We have a AIA purchase order interface. The interface itself has about 8 composites. We have been successfully using the following process to deploy the interface for the past 12 months:
ant -f $AIA_HOME/Infrastructure/Install/AID/AIAInstallDriver.xml -DDeploymentPlan=$AIA_HOME/deploy/purchaseorder/PurchaseOrderInterfaceDP.xml -DPropertiesFile=$AIA_HOME/aia_instances/<instance_name>/config/AIAInstallProperties.xml
However, we have recently applied patch 'AIA 11.1.1.6 Rollup Patch 5 – Patch 17423167' to our Weblogic 11.1.1.6 environment. Since then we get the error below when attempting to deploy this AIA interface.
BUILD FAILED
/oracle/product/Middleware/AIA/Infrastructure/Install/AID/AIAExecuteDriver.xml:118: The following error occurred while executing this line:
/oracle/product/Middleware/AIA/Infrastructure/Install/AID/AIAExecuteDriver.xml:65: The following error occurred while executing this line:
/oracle/product/Middleware/AIA/aia_instances/AIA_TEST/tmp/AIDExecuteDP_temp_1308451709.xml:4: Unknown attribute [partition]
Note that we are unable to deploy any of our AIA interfaces using this method since patching.
Has anyone come across this problem?
HoangAfter further investigations, we removed the partition reference from the deployment script thereby deploying to the default partition and deployment was successful.
I passed this knowledge onto sysadmins and a partition configuration step was missed. After configuration, deployment worked successfully as per prepatching.

Sun Update Connection install fails on Patch 119574-02
Just finished installing Solaris 10 (3/05) on my brand new Sun Blade 1500. I then downloaded the latest version of Sun Update Connection, but the installer fails as follows:

Patch 119574-02 failed to install due to a failure produced by pkgadd.
See /var/sadm/patch/119574-02/log for details
Patchadd is terminating. The above log file reads as follow:
# cat /var/sadm/patch/119574-02/log
This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and
version of a package which is already installed. This installation
will attempt to overwrite this package.
/export/home/richard.cross/updateConnection/patches/119574-02/SUNWcsu/install/checkinstall: /export/home/richard.cross/updateConnection/patches/119574-02/SUNWcsu/install/checkinstall: cannot open
pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully
Dryrun complete.
No changes were made to the system.Where have I gone wrong? I haven't done anything to my system between installing Solaris 10 and downloading SUC, so why is it complaining about an existing patch?Solved it. Solution is to move all of the patches into /var/spool/pkg and run patchadd on each one in there (in the right order).

ZCM 11 Remote Management Policy Failed after Patch 2
Upgraded to Cumulative Agent Patch 2 on ZCM 11 and now my remote management policy fails. It keeps stating that it "Could not find a results file for remote management policy...."
Is anyone else having this issue?Dpogue,
This is being worked on, it's not related to the agent update as far as
we know - TID 7006354 has some details.

URGENT! Fail Safe + Patch 9.2.0.2
Hi all! I need to install the Patch 9.2.0.2 to upgrade an Oracle database running under Oracle Fail Safe on win2k. Do you know how to do this? I think I've to shutdown both the node... Any suggests?
"catpatch.sql" is an SQL needed for updating EXISTING databases. It updates the catalog (datadictionary stuff mostly).
I don't know what you mean exactly with "Management Server repository", but if you mean by this the repository that is used bij Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or also called in 10g the "DB Console" , than the catpatch will probably NOT update the repository. But I don't know for sure. The catpatch.sql script is a update script which triggers other SQL scripts (in which an update on the Management Server repository could happen). The README file which is contained with the patch should enlighten you (or at least give you an hint that it ONLY update dictionary stuff).
*) If I have to UPDATE databases and I have to install the software, for instance I do the following...
- Install 10.2.0.1.0 software
- Update the 10.2.0.1.0 software with the patch 10.2.0.2.0
- Create a NEW database
- Finished.
*) If I have to UPDATE databases and I have to install the software, for instance I do the following...
- Bring down all Oracle processes.
- Update the 10.2.0.1.0 software with the patch 10.2.0.2.0
- Bring database up, connect to it locally via SQLPlus without using the listener
- Run the "update" script (aka catpatch for instance) following ALL the rules (that apply - if you don't have RAC, don't update stuff which is only mention under RAC) described in the README file of the patch 10.2.0.2.0 (most of the time you can read it as a step by step manual)
- Startup the listener and other Oracle processes needed -

How many notes indicate that the inventory is corrupted, but my file ContentsXML / inventory.xml contains good, the information for my 3 enviroment rdbms and 10.1.2/10.1.3.
I check my opatch inventory-detail for rdbms, 10.1.2/10.1.3 and everything seems fine.
