Failed to Connect to CCMCIP authentication server error

Hi All,
I am getting a strange error with a CM8  Cisco Unified client services framework client.
He is getting failed to connect to CCMIP authentication server.
The user is assoicated with a phone line.
He is in the CCM end users and standard CTI enabled group.
The phone is setup to be controlled via CTI.
I had one of the IT support guys use this users login to try and login using a different PC with the similar results.
This makes me wonder if the problem is with the users' profile on the Presence server somehow.
I will attach the problem report along with one of the error messages.
I have noted the problem with the voicemail server and will get the password fixed up soon.
Any help or ideas would be so appreciated.
Regards
Amanda

Hi All,
I am continuing to work on the problem.
I found something interesting in the core log file.
I will attach the new debug report.
If anyone has any ideas for how to fix this please let me know.
thanks
Amanda Lalli-Cafini

    Any help is welcome.
    Thx

    Issue has been resolved.
I downloaded the latest version of the cuci-moc software which only included the software.
The previous version 7.1.2.zip also included a cucimoc-Admin-ffr.7-1-2.zip, which has the Administration Toolkit.
This toolkit also included registry update and .adm files for policy setting.
       CUCIMOC-CUCSFAdminData_GroupPolicy.reg
       CUCIMOC-CUCSFAdminData_GroupPolicy.adm
I am now able to connect and can toggle between softphone and deskphone.

You already setup a discussion for this, no need to create more. It has only been an hour since your last post. Considering this is Sunday, you may have to wait a while, though it really comes down to when someone with an answer happens to stop by. We are just users, not employees of Adobe (that is why it is called a user-to-user forum). I remember seeing posts on this in the past and suggest you do a forum search for past posts. I do not have the solution at hand.
There are several posts under "DDE Server Acrobat Installation" search.

If you are running oracle 10g, then, the following would be helpful.
    Cause
The parameter DB_ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION has not been set in the remote database.
DB_ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION is a new parameter introduced in 10g that allows the DBA to explicitly determine which authentication protocols are allowed by the client or database.
The value specified is the earliest client version level supported by this database.
When clients earlier than the specified version attempt to connect, authentication will fail.
    Solution
In the init.ora of the remote (Downstream capture) database, set the following : db_allowed_logon_version=10
Note: Bug 2981553, which is implemented in 10.1.0.2, removes the parameter db_allowed_logon_version. This is replaced by the sqlnet.ora parameter called sqlnet_allowed_logon_version.

    Hello;
Very difficult to read your post.
If your standby is in "recovery - mount" a 1033 is normal assuming you are trying to shut down the standby.
Otherwise try this query on the standby:
    select process, client_process, sequence#, status from V$managed_standby;
If there is a MRP or a MRP0 process, the database is performing managed recovery. Otherwise It's not ready and you may have found your cause.
    Best Regards

    Hi Karthik,
    Thanks for the response,
    To answer your points:
+ In CUCM Serviceability > Tools > Network Services, do you have Cisco
CallManager Cisco IP Phone (CCMCIP) service active and running?
I unfortunately don't have access to the serviceability page, i will have to contact someone from Telstra to have a look, but i would have thought they'd have set this up.
+ In your CUCM cluster, are you using CTL lists?
Unsure if we are using these, will have to confirm.
+ In CUCM, did you complete the steps in the URL link below:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
    uide/config_servers.html#wp1054089
Yes, telstra completed these steps. we have integrated with AD and that is working fine as well as having created a CSF
    + On your MOC, can you see the conversation pane?;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
    uide/troubleshooting.html#wp1055659
I am able to see the conversation pane, but many of the items are blanked out and when i hover over them, it says "Selected Device Unavailable. Select the title menu bar button. The select Tools > select device for conversation pane." when i do this the select softphone device is empty.
+ Between your MOC/OCS and CUCM, do you have a firewall?. If so, make sure
that you are not blocking the traffic shown in the URL link below: HTTP,
    CTI-QBE, SIP
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
    uide/plan.html#wp1052867
our firewall is not blocking that traffic.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks

  • Lync 2010: Deleted Trusted Server remains in Config: Failed to connect to a peer server

    Hi
We added a Trusted Application to our Lync 2010 topology and removed it a few days later as it became clear it will not work for us..
Since then conference group chats do not work any longer.
If I trace the issue I get
reason="Failed to connect to a peer server";WinsockFailureCode="10060(WSAETIMEDOUT)";WinsockFailureDescription="The peer did not respond to the connection attempt";Peer="deletedFQDN";Port="5061"
The host (peer) still exists but the application once running on port 5061 does not.
If I look in AD-Configuration I cannot find the Peer or anything related to it. It is already deleted in the topology (as far as I can see).
Where else can I look for (and delete) orphaned Peer entries?

Run Export-CsConfiguration -FileName c:\TP.zip, open the xml file in folder TP.zip, check if the IP address for trusted application exists.
If it exists, run the command Get-CsStaticRoutingConfiguration to check if something is related with the trusted application.
If yes, to remove it, you can run the command Set-CsStaticRoutingConfiguration -Route $null.
