Hi,
I had a problem to display CR after export to PDF in browser. No message error displayed except the browser is blank.
Below is the code that i had been used.
Dim RptFilePath As StringDim RptExportOpt As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportOptionsDim ExportLocation As New CrystalDecisions.Shared.DiskFileDestinationOptionsDim ExportPath As StringRptFilePath = "C:\Project\reportPro.rpt"myReport.Refresh()myReport.SetDatabaseLogon("root", "", "localhost", "dbpro")ExportPath = "C:\Project\reportPro.pdf"ExportLocation.DiskFileName = ExportPathRptExportOpt = myReport.ExportOptionsWith RptExportOpt.DestinationOptions = ExportLocation.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormatEnd WithmyReport.Export()Response.ClearContent()Response.ClearHeaders()Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"Response.WriteFile(ExportPath)Response.Flush()Response.Close()MyConnection.Close()
Fyi, i'm using Crystal Report 10 embedded with VS 2005. Please help me.

It looks like the 2 DLLs you mentioned, are getting corrupted or modified due to some operation that might have been performed on them. Can you please try the below mentioned instructions and see if that gets your application to install without any errors:
1. Try installing your business app.
2. When you see the error message as stated, try running the below mentioned commands: (Start | Run | Type cmd and hit Enter)
    regsvr32 LTKRN11n.dll /i /s
    regsvr32 LTKRN11n.dll /s
    regsvr32 LTDIS11n.dll /i /s
    regsvr32 LTDIS11n.dll /s
3. The above commands should fix the issues in the mentioned DLLs and allow normal installation of your business app.
Hope this gets your app to work and install properly.

  • Blacks turn dark grey after exporting to pdf from InDeign cs6

Exactly what the title says. The one on the right is from Indesign....the left one is after exporting (the same in preview and acrobat reader).Anyone know why this happens?

In this case it looks like the color change is because the color mangement settings are not sync'd and not a color conversion—if there was a CMYK-to-CMYK conversion on export the image wouldn't show through.
ID, Acrobat, and Preview all display some black CMYK mixes as something other than absolute black, but the preview depends on the color settings so there could be a shift if they don't match.

  • Indesign CS4 button flashes after exported to PDF and viewed in Acrobat Reader/Professional X

    Hey everyone,
    Greetings!
I've encountered this odd problem when preparing my portfolio.
I've created some 40 buttons in InDesign CS4 (all according to the official tutorial) to Show/Hide Fields (specificly images), and navigate through the pages.
The buttons all have their own Normal and Rollover states, but no Click states.
After exporting the file to PDF, I tested the buttons in Acrobat Reader 9 and Acrobat Pro 9, and both the actions and the states worked fine.
BUT that's not the case with Acrobat Reader X or Acrobat Pro X.
The actions are still there, showing the images and navigating, but the states are not!
The buttons' rollover states just flashes when the mouse hover above them, and even in Normal state, they kept *blinking* randomly.
    Frustrated for a week.
PS. I suspected and used a Indesign file with only one simple button to rule out the following:
    1. Overlapping buttons
    2. Slow processing due to large image size
    3. Mishandling of transparency
At this moment I'm pretty sure it's an Acrobat thing...Help!

Thanks Dave! I was in the middle of writing this when your post came in:
Not sure if this will help anyone, but I changed the button fill color to white and it seemed to fix the flicker. I exported each state from indesign as a PDF and recreated the button from scratch. This still had the flicker. I'm guessing something strange is happening with the transparancy of the states.
    Glad to hear it's fixed!

  • Running headers wrong after export to PDF

I am trying to use a Running Header (Paragraph Style) variable to display in the header of several sections in an InDesign file. It all works fine when viewed in InDesign. But when I export to PDF, the header in every section displays the title of the first section, not the current section. How can I fix this?

Both. I have a single file divided into three sections, call it content.indd. That file is combined with another file in a book (.indb) The problem arises when I export the book to PDF. The second and third sections derived from the content.indd file are the ones with the incorrect headers.
To be specific, in the PDF rendition, the first section header is correctly "Section 1: Overview." The second and third sections are titled differently, but still show "Section 1: Overview" in the header.
    Any ideas?

  • BI Reports printing in BI 7 after exporting to pdf

    Hi all,
I have an issue with regard to prinitng the Reports in BI 7 after we do the export to pdf format.
the users want to combine all the reports into one PDF file when printing?
If so, is there any such standard functionality in BW or else what could be done to achieve this.
    pls advise...
    thanks in advance
    Neel

    Hi,
what about creating one webtemplate with several webitems "webtemplate".
So you can execute each report, but can print ~20 webtemplates via the master template to one pdf file.
    Kind regards,

  • Pages crashes after exporting to PDF or .doc

This is a problem now that it happens everytime i use pages.
I'm working on a document and then I go to save a PDF by either Export in the File menu
or by choosing "save as PDF" in the printer dialogue
after it saves the PDF as soon as I go back to the pages doc the app crashes.
and asks me if i want to reopen cancel or send a report - which i have done.
this also happens if i save as .doc
maybe i have to reset the app?
this is making pages unusable unfortunately

There used to be a reproducible crash in the past with a footnote, if you deleted the text referencing the footnote without deleting the footnote and then printed/exported to PDF. However, that problem is gone in the latest versions, as far as I can tell.
Apart from that, I do not know of any definite crash scenarios.

  • Photos blurred after exporting as pdf

    Hi,
after exporting my pages-file into pdf, one of the photos is pretty blurred. Can anyone help, please?
    Thank you so much!!
    xx
    pavinova

I am no Pages expert but I got the blurring when tried to reduce the file size either by Pages reduce file size (Pages 5.5) or selecting the Good or Better output (Pages 09).  I got better results when reducing all photos outside of Pages using a graphics editor. I used Graphic Converter and got good results but am sure other apps (Photoshop etc.) work well too. Try with all settings at best quality and see how the pdf looks then. You should be able to get a pdf looking as good as the Pages file.

  • Change in report format after exporting from pdf format to excel format.

    Hi,
I got a problem while exporting the pdf format of the Report to Excel format "Fully-Foramtted Grids and Texts".
    The format gets automatically changed.
Is there any solution to this problem.

Can you give some more details?
Which version are you using (and which patch level - if any).
Also what formatting is default on the reports and what is the default format in excel.
What exactly is different between PDF and excel?
Another possibility is that font substitution is going on??

  • Indesign to PDF. Logo appears blurred after exporting to PDF.

I have a png and jpeg logo that appears fine in my indesign doc but when I export to PDF the image is blurred and has a white line around the logo edge as if the image is bleeding into the page.
The png and jpeg logo file (I have tried both versions) is 4x4 inches and 300 dpi. I am a loss at to what the problem is. I have tried smooth line art in the Adobe preferences.. but nothing works there.
Is there a standard setting for Indesign and Adobe (in terms of output) that would help resolve this issue.. ? Any ideas greatly appreciated...

Hi. Thanks for stepping in with some advice. I'm actually exporting at print quality so avoiding the low resolution pdf issue but the logo has a transparent background and is a png file. Would it help if I resaved it as a vector file? Any further advice would be welcome. It looks 100% fine in Indesign but just my exporting to PDF makes the logo look terrible. Thanks again..

  • Unwanted Anti-aliasing after export to PDF!?

    Dear comunity,
First of all let me say, that i am relatively new to indesign,
this is really driving me crazy: my boss gave me the task to renew our business cards (no new layout, just different names and addresses.) So i took the indesign file my predecessor made and switched the names and contact information. The indesign file contains three back sides for three different people, every one with their own QR-code.
I made three new QR codes, deleted the old ones and brought the new ones in. (the codes were originally PNG, i put them in Photoshop and exported as PSD, since i heard, that i should use PSD files in ID instead of PNG or JPEG.)
When exported to PDF, two of these QR codes are working just fine, the third one has the following problem: On the edges of the code, thin light gray lines appear, for my untrained eye, these look just like anti-aliasing. These do only appear in the exported PDF, not in Indesign itself, and only in one of the three QR-codes, though i created and imported them all the same way.
I should probably mention, that i made the codes 50% transparent. I already did lots of research regarding that problem, and one person said, that this is a bug, which has been solved in ID CC 2014, so i updated my ID to that version, imported the corrupt PSD anew, still the same problem.
What did i do wrong with this particular PSD file? Might there be a button or something, when i have the psd selected in iD, that toggles AA on and off for that particular file??
I added two pictures. the 1st one is one of those, who don't make any problems, the second one is the one, that has the unwanted anti-aliasing (or whatever it is). I just made screenshots out of Acrobat, because this forum wouldn't let me upload The PDFs. As i said, they both come from the same ID file, exported the same way.
Thanx in advance for all your kind help.
    Nigi

Thank you Willi, one more question,
You are saying, i down sampled with the wrong method. So what would be the right method? I just drag and dropped the file and placed using the placegun thingy.
Just asking for future projects, this particular problem will be solved by the internal QR-editor, i'm sure.
Boy that whole print-stuff is a whole new area for me, there's much to learn, so i am very grateful for people like you, who take their time to help a poor autodidact...
    Thanks

  • Exporting to PDF from browser is showing junk data

    Hi Ted,
I am using cross tab in my report and when value 2 has to be displayed for a column, i have to show 'Tick' mark. It is displaying properly when i use <font face="Bookshelf Symbol 7">p</font>. It is showing tick mark. Even when i export directly from Crystal Reports software it is exporting properly. After integration with Java and export to PDF, i am getting junk data for tick mark (it is showing a dot in place of tick mark).
Could you please let me know how i can resolve this.
Edited by: Kishore  Manthangod on Jun 27, 2008 3:05 PM

    Thanks for detailed explanation Merry.
I have to use this so many times and i have to use this in the cross tab where i was unable to embed images.
    Here is my formula:
    if {PerformanceSnapshot.LEVELSCOREID}=1 then
    else if {PerformanceSnapshot.LEVELSCOREID}=2 then
    'tick mark should come here'
    else if {PerformanceSnapshot.LEVELSCOREID}=3 then
    '+'
    else if {PerformanceSnapshot.LEVELSCOREID} =4 then
    else '  '
And i am using LEVELSCOREID in the cross-tab. Can you please tell me how could i embed image in cross tab.
    Please help me?

  • Problem with LTKRN11N.dll after enabling "View PDF in Browser" option

    Good afternoon,
I'm trying to install an internal business application on one of our office PC's but keep getting errors during the install.  The two errors I receive are:
The ordinal 267 could not be located in the dynamic link library LTKRN11n.dll
The ordinal 173 could not be located in the dynamic link library LTDIS11n.dll
I've narrowed the problem down and can repeat it...it seems to be the result of enabling the option "View PDF in Browser" in the preferences of Adobe Reader 9.3.  Simply unchecking the option does not fix the problem and neither does uninstalling Adobe or the other application.  So far, the only answer has been to re-image the machine without the option, install the other application and then enable the option (if needed) however, once the option has been enabled, any further attempts to install the application, will fail, reuquiring a re-image.
Any help with how Adobe uses these dlls or what might remedy the problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Image looks different in Acrobat after exporting to PDF

I just created an image in InDesign. I exported it as a PDF and viewed it in Acrobat. There are two things going on here that I'm not sure about. First of all, there appears to be a broken edge on the right side of the image when viewed in Acrobat. I took a screen shot of each image. In the first image (Acrobat), you can see the line break. In Indesign, which is the second image placed into this thread, there is no line break. I checked Indesign for any shapes or images that I may have missed that might be hanging around obstructing the edge, but there was nothing there.
Another issue I'm having is that the black seems to be faded in the Acrobat image. See how it is that nice stark dark black in my screen shot from Indesign? Is this happening because the original image (created in Photoshop) doesn't use rich black? The black in the photoshop image is 76, 71, 65, 81 in CMYK. If this is the problem, could I convert it to rich black somehow in Photoshop or InDesign?
    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the black issue is your settings for Appearance of Black in the preferences. The CMYK numbers you gave us earlier correspond to an RGB black in the range of the low 30s in all channels, which is a smewaht graysish balck, and would be a very good RGB approximation of 100% K.
I'll bet if you look at the setting for Appearance of Black it's set to Display all Blacks as Rich Black which gives you a false impression of darkness for 100% K. Black ink alone looks faded, or gray, next to a rich black with a high K component. In the screen captures below, there are three overlapping squares. Upper left is filled with 100% K, middle with the RGB conversion of 100% K in my color settings (GRAcol and Adobe RGB), and the lower right is filled with your 76, 71, 65, 81 mix. The only differntence is that on the top the Prefs are set to display blacks accurately, and on the bottom they're set to display as rich black:
