Failed to fetch express pluggable data source

Dear Friends,
I am encountering the following the error while running the reports.
REP-4102: Failed to fetch pluggable data source.
java.lang.NumberFormatException: 75,000000
I am using an Express Query in this case.
The same report runs perfectly when connected to the NT server that has the reports server,Http server and the rdf file. The db that the reports uses is on the SOLARIS server.
But when I use the reports server, http server and the rdf file avaiable to me on the SOLARIS server with the db also now on the same machine it does not run and gives the error.
What could be the problem ?
Just to add more clarity below is the URL which I use to display the report

  • Using Web Service as Data source (Pluggable Data Source) in Oracle Reports

Anyone using Webservice as a pluggable data source in oracle 10g reports.(Report builder version:10.1.2.0.2)? We need to be able to use web service as one of the data source to create reports.Tried the following and ran into issues:
Imported the wspds.jar fle from oracle plugin exchage. When tried using it received the following error in oracle reports trace file.
    04/26 22:27:22 java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle.xml.parser.schema.XSDBuilder.build([Loracle/xml/parser/v2/XMLDocument;Ljava/net/URL;)Ljava/lang/Object;
By troubleshooting issue found out that xmlparserv2.jar in 10g is newer than xmlparserv2.jar in 9i. wspds.jar is using xmlparserv2.jar in 9i as it was developed and tested for 9i only. Believe there is no newer wspds.jar file developed specifically for 10g?
Is there a better/standard solution to use webservice as data source in oracle 10g reports? Does later version of oracle reports supports webservice as a data source without any additional plugins? Any suggestion would be helpful.

Please provide support for the above request.
It appears that Oracle 10g reports doesn't support Web Service as pluggable data source. Is this option is available in Oracle 11g Reports or Oracle Discoverer Or OBIEE?

  • Logon failed when connecting to XML data source over HTTP

I am trying to create a report using the standard report creation wizard:
    1) new, standard report
    2) create new connection
    3) xml and web services
    4) xml data source
When using the sample from the SAP site, it works fine:
    http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/downloads/samples/cr/customer_db/customer.xml
I have an HTTP source that generates XML. I have a schema that describes this XML. If I save the XML to a local file it works fine as a data source with the schema. However, when I try to access the same data via HTTP, I get the following error:
    Logon failed.
    Details: Cannot open file
Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://localhost:8004/report.xqy?Validate%20XML=0&Use%20WS-Security%20Config%20File=&WS-Security%20File%20Location
However, if I enter that URL in a browser it works fine. And even if I disable security on the HTTP source, it produces the same error.
Does the URL for the HTTP data source have to conform to some specific pattern? For example, must the URL end in .xml?

  • Authentication Failed using K2 SmartObjects as Data source

I have an issue with Visual Studio 2010 and the K2 Smart Objects Data source. I continue to get Authentication Failed: SEC_E_LOGON_DENIED. I log into a corporate domain and then VPN into another domain where the K2 database and SQL Server are located.
After looking at the Windows logs it is apparent that the credentials being used are the first ones(corporate domain) and not the ones that I specified when using the Data source option for my application. I specify the correct domain/userid, port number and
    password. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi BBVillarreal,
Since it is related to K2 Smart Objects, I’m afraid that it is really out of support range of VS IDE forum, but you can try ask this question at the forum about the K2 smart objects for better support.
I’m not very sure that the real forum, but I found some sites which are related to it, maybe you could get the correct forum for it.

  • Failed to acquire DAS with data sources that match the specified OCE

    Please help, Thank you all.
We are migrating Oracle databases from Windows to Linux servers. Currently, I have no problem to use my desktop Hyperion Intelligence Designer 8.5 with new oce file to connect to Linux. However, I published the same oce file to Hyperion Performance Suite 8.5 then I got “Sever Error [2018]: Failed to acquire Data Access Service with data sources that match the specified OCE”.
I launched Service Configurator, in the “Local Service Configurator - DAS1_host”, the “Database JDBC URL is point to Linux server. Also, I added ODBC connection to Oracle database on Linux in the “Properties of Data Access Service: DAS1_host’s Data Source”. Database of JDBC URL in BI1_host, AZ1_host, PUB1_host, SM1_host, LS1_host, UT1_host, BPS1_host, AN1_host are also point to Linux server.
The “Remote Service Configurator” has ES1_host’s” Storage” with JDBC URL point to Linux server. The same for RM1_host’s and NS1_host’s “Storage” with JDBC URL point to Linux server.
Is there some missing configuration on the server? Thank you in advance.

You should login to my oracle support to look into this ID.
    This is the solution mentioned
    Solution
    1) In the .profile file, you will find the definition of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable. However, the path to 64 bit libraries is probably appended before the path to the 32 bit libraries(%ORACLE_HOME%/lib32). Therefore, please reverse the order in the definition so that the 32 bit libraries get loaded before the 64 bit libraries.
    Then, restart all services.
    2) Oracle 9.2 was the first Oracle release which defaults to using the 64 bit libraries in the 'lib' directory and the 32-bit libraries that we need are in the 'lib32' directory.
Therefore, please have the%ORACLE_HOME%/lib32 placed in front of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable definition. Then, restart all services.
    3) Please check that users have read and write access to the files located in the %ORACLE_HOME%/lib32 folder.
    4) Check the permissions of the libclntsh.a file(located in the %ORACLE_HOME%/lib32 folder) are set to rwxr-xr-x
    5) Recreate the OCE connection in DAS and restart DAS in CMC.
    6) Restart all the BIPlus Services and process the query.

  • PowerView: Failed to Close connection for data source 'EntityDataSource'

    Hi All,
I am using SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012 SP1 PowerView. PowerView reports are created from PowerPivot workbooks hosted on the SharePoint 2013 BI Site. The PowerView report runs fine most of the times but when I interact heavily (click different slicers,
filters, charts)with the report, all of the charts or one of the charts will grey out showing no data at all while it should actually show data. The error message which pops out is in the screenshot below:
To solve the issue. we either click on any slicer, filter on the PowerView report or refresh the IE webpage. This restores the connection and it will be active again.  Can someone please let us know the fix to this?
    Thanks, Ashish Singh

    Hi Ashish,
The error message "Failed to close connection for data sourcee 'EntityDataSource'" doesn't give much useful information. To get more detail error message, I suggest that you turn on the Reporting Services events for the SharePoint trace log (ULS) and
post the complete error message in the verbose ULS Log. To do this, please see the document:

  • How to create a link to base oracle olap express(ODBC DATA source Name)

    hello,
How can I create a datasource name, because I want to connect to Express base with Business Objects.
    thank you for your help

Express does not support ODBC access, it only supports a proprietary interface called SNAPI. There was a way to connect and pass data backwards and forwards using VB but that was about it. No ODBC connectivity.
If you want to access multi-dimensional data using Business Objects I would recommend upgrading from Express to Oracle OLAP 10gR2. There might be licensing issues here so I would talk to your Oracle account manager first because I am not sure customers can migrate from Express to Oracle OLAP for free.
Once you have moved your data from Express to OLAP 10gR2 (the steps to do this are all in the manual and it should be a painless process) then you can use a utility from Business Objects to create the required relational views over your OLAP cubes and dimensions. This will allow you to access your multi-dimensional data via BO's Webi client. I think the utility to create the views can be provided free of charge from BO, however, I think you need to have access to their support website to download it. But check with your BO account manager.
    Hope this helps

  • WebService Pluggable Data Source - When there is no proxy...

    Hi there,
I'm trying to set up a report using the Webservice PDS, and keep getting errors.
(I'm using Dev Suite 10g, Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 on WinXP SP3)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/pluginxchange/index.html
I believe that my setup is OK, I've followed the directions from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/pluginxchange/plugins/datasource/webservicePDS/readme.html
    ie:
the soap.jar, WsPDS.jar and jdev-rt.jar files are all present in C:\Frs1002\reports\jlib
All three files and the above location are in my REPORTS_CLASSPATH registry setting.
I've also added in the line to my cauprefs.ora file as required:
    "oracle.reports.plugin.datasource.wspds.WSDataSourceFactory",
    But...
The webservice that I'm trying to access is external to my network, however I don't use a proxy - I use a gateway to access the net.
As such, I've attempted to put my gateway address into the proxyinfo.xml file, and then enabled the proxyinfo in the bottom of the rwbuilder.conf file, but then when I run report builder and use the wizard; like in the Oracle given example, I get an error when clicking 'Query Definition': "WSPDS-100: Error while Extracting Config File! null."
I don't have a config file for WSPDS, only the jar files that were with the installation zip. Am I missing something?
If I remove the information from proxyinfo.xml and change the rwbuilder.conf back to the way it was, I don't get the error, but when I put in the URL for the WSDL document, when I click next, nothing happens.
(I've checked the WSDL link - it's fine.)
    Am I missing a wspds.conf file?
Do I put in something else in the proxyinfo.xml file instead of my gateway?
    Any assistance or suggestions appreciated.
    Ron.

    Hi Deepti,
3 should work (for weeks > 43). Please open a customer message so SAP support can analyze the issue.

  • Recurring Crystal schedules fail if original data source changes

We're using BO 3.1 (SP3 plus FP 3.3 and 3.5) with Oracle 11g repository and both 10g and 11g clients installed on the BO servers (Windows Server 2008 R2).  We've been trying to resolve an issue with recurring schedules of Crystal reports.  We always configure them to use the Custom Data Source settings but if the Original Data Source name changes, it's causing report schedules to fail with the below error message.  So if the parent report's original data source doesn't match the schedules original data source, the schedule begins to fail even though it's configured to use the custom data source settings.  I've had a ticket open with support for over a month now but am not getting anywhere.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Error in File ~tmp6406e9398df050.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 1005 ]

    Hi John,
Thanks for the response but rescheduling reports does NOT resolve the issue and should not be necessary when they're set to use the CUSTOM data source.  We've found that the only thing you can really do is delete the existing recurring schedules and create brand new ones.  Needless to say, this isn't very convenient for users and it's difficult to prevent the original data source name from ever changing.  It sure seems like a bug but SAP will not acknowledge it as such.  If you use Query builder to look up all the detail on a recurring schedule, there's nothing to indicate where the problem is.  The SI_USE_ORIGINALDS will be set to "false" but if the original data source in the recurring schedule does not match that of the parent report, it will fail even though the custom data source settings are correct.  Why would the recurring schedule do anything at all with the original data source when it is set to use the custom one??

  • Omniportlet problems using web page as data source

When trying to set up an omniportlet using a web page as a data source
I get as far as defining the sectioning and scraping parts of the web clipping process.
When going on to the "filter" step of the process I always get an error message like:
    Error
Failed to open specified URL. Check the following:
is the URL is active; is there a valid proxy setting or,
if HTTP authentication is required, check user name and password.
    ortletInstanceId=33731_OMNIPORTLET_39337338&_orawcs_userI
    d=-&_orawcs_responseType=rowsetRow]
We are not using proxy servers for accessing external web pages in other cases
(so I wouldn't think we needed to now either), and this even happens for web
pages residing within our own network.
    Any tips are much appreciated.

Please provide support for the above request.
