Failed to navigate from registry

On a distributed install for 11.1.2.2 on win 2008 R2 64 bit, I was able to get Shared Services configured to a new schema. But when trying to configure R&A and Planning on another box I landed on "failed to navigate from registry wizard state error while initializing registry" while trying to perform a connect to shared services DB. I tried and tested the following:
added entries to the host file, verified db connectivity, telnet to the db host everything is fine. Its an oracle database on a unix box. I have been able to use the same db for performing config on DEV and was successful at that .
Any thoughts on this ?

Failed to navigate from RegistryWizardState

Hi,
I am running into an issue while configuring EPM system 11.1.2.3. When I enter the Shared Services user credential, it gives me an error "Failed to navigate from RegistryWizardState:. I have granted the shared services user with the following grants. Which grants am I missing? HYP_SS being my shared services user/schema?
Also, as mentioned in one of the threads to delete the reg.properties file. I can't seem to find that file in 11.1.2.3 directory structure.
Grant create table to HYP_SS;
GRANT CONNECT TO HYP_SS ;
GRANT RESOURCE TO HYP_SS ;
ALTER USER HYP_SS DEFAULT ROLE CONNECT, RESOURCE;

Have you given all privileges as per below listing in Oracle Install-Config guide?
It says,

Did you have a look at configtool.log as to what errors its having ?
I think the reg.properties will get created if you have all sufficient rights on Oracle database user/schema.

Robohelp 9: What are the hotkeys to navigate from pane to pane?

Greetings!
I was a heavy robohelp X5 user, looking to get back to robohelp!
v9 looks pretty nice! (Playing with the demo)
I used to be able to use alt-1, alt-2, ctrl-1, ctrl-2 (etc) to navigate from editor to project mgr, index view, etc.
I don't see how to use kbd to do this in v9.
What am I missing?

Also, keep in mind that once you make these changes you will need to ensure RoboHelp is properly closed and restarted. By taking that additional step you will ensure the assignments "stick". If RoboHelp were to crash after making these changes, it would not have updated the Windows Registry so when you started it again the changes would be missing.

Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit fails when invoked from InstallShield

I'm trying to install the Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit on Windows 2008 SP1 from the InstallShield 2010.
The installation is silent. Invoked by command line:

The problem is that when the command is invoked from command line (cmd), the installation is successful.
However, when the same command is invoked from under the InstallShield, the installation fails on Architecture requirement check:

The questions:
1. Why the requirement checks give different results when installation is invoked from CMD and from InstallShield?
2. Why the requirement checks are done despite the parameters "-ignoreSysPrereqs" and "use_prereq_checker=false"?
3. What should I do to get the installation pass (either remove the check or make it satisfying)?
PS. The 32 bit Oracle Server installation on Windows 2003 works without problem when invoked from InstallShield.

Please use 2008R2 if you want to install 11gR2 versionThank you for that update. Possibly it will help me to solve another trouble.
Regarding the problem I described, the issue is that I install Oracle Client 32 bit prior to trying to install Oracle Servier 64 bit.
The Oracle Client setup had started RemoteExecService.exe 32 bit process. And the process remained running after the installation completed.
The Oracle Server setup utilizes the running RemoteExecService.exe process. Since the process is 32 bit, the architecture requirement check had failed.
I've added to my script killing the process
taskkill /F /IM RemoteExecService.exe
before invoking the Oracle Server installation.
That way the Oracle Server setup starts another RemoteExecService.exe process and the new process is 64 bit.
The architecture requirement succeed.

How do I stop Firefox from playing video after I navigate from the page or leave Firefox?

Simple and annoying. . Extremely frustrating issue with Firefox for Android. ..
I watch a YouTube video or any flash video. . And after I hit play, the ONLY way to stop it is to hit pause or let it play to the end or close the tab. .
It will NOT automatically stop if I open another tab. or if I navigate from Firefox. .

How to navigate from view of slave DC to view of matser DC?

I've got DC1 (master) and DC2 (slave) in different projects. Both projects are WD Java local DC projects. DC2 has one component (say A) with view, window, view interface, controller and controller interface and has no applications. This view should be called at start of application. Only DC1 has application. Public parts created properly so DC2 visible for DC1.
In main window of DC1 I embedded View Interface from DC2 and make it default. View Interface has outbound plug connected with inbound plug for View of DC1.
What I should to do to allow user navigate from View Interface of DC2 to view of DC1 by press button placed at view of DC2?
I'm working with NW7.0.

Go to Iview Property in portal Content managment and take the PCD location.
It may look something like this

Create a string variable with the PCD location
String pcdLocation = <pcd location>
And call using the iview using the following code
WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(pcdLocation, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,"&reference="+reference);
Here &reference is the application parameter, if the application with which the iView is created has parameter and is not mandatory.

Macbook occasionally fails to wake from sleep

i have a new macbook (purchsed in july) which occasionally (every 1-2 weeks) fails to wake from sleep. it either hangs on the blue screen which first comes up when you switch it on, or on the black screen which normally follows shortly afterwards.
i regularly use it "closed", i.e., with an external screen and keyboard, but the problem seems also to happen occasionally when i switch it on without these peripherals.
any ideas?
i've also had dvd player crash once. it was in full screen mode, and i couldn't switch to any other applications or force quit dvd player, so again i had to cut power.

From there you should have the boxed check both on Battery power and AC Cord to put the Hard drive to sleep when possible..
Once i did this it never happened again(the closing of the lid and still running)

an interesting question. Anchors work across pages (global) without any problem. Do they work within tabs or any other widgets I haven't tried, but it looks like you have and without success. I can see the temptation for doing this, but if you think about it why would you? Set the anchor on the page next to the tab(s) and hey presto the user needs only click the tab to which the hperlink refers, nothing could be more convenient! Of course, if the user cannot relate the tab to the hyperlink there's a problem. Generally solved by titling (like if the hyperlink is cats, the tab should preferably read cats and not dogs)! It's the only work around i can think of. Hope it helps.

I just enrolled in CC and I can get the app on my desk but when I navigate from home to apps to download apps, it just goes around and around in a blue circle (I'm on a mac). help

Navigate from a chart to another tab page

I have a requirement to navigate from a chart to another tab page. Right now my implementation requires that I select one of the bars on the chart to navigate which also performs filtering. I want to be able to click any area on the request (not just the bars) that contains the chart to take me to another tab page and I don't want any filtering. Can this be done?

The method that recommended is what I am currently using. However, I want to be able to click anywhere on the chart not just the bars. Is there away to navigate by clicking on anywhere within a section?
