Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
Is there any way to fix it? I also tried uninstalling Digikam and kipi-plugins, now I cannot install them back again.

Seems it's a bug https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/25346
The problem got fixed in version 2.0.0-2 which should arrive in the repos shortly.

  • ITunes Match and failing to upgrade some of my tracks

Does anyone know why ITunes Match sometimes fails to upgrade certain popular tracks to 256 AAC when it's established that the song/track exists in the Itune store?  I just completed the reorganization of my ITunes library today after using iTunes Match to upgrade the compression quality of my songs.  And out of approximately 1100 songs, iTunes Match failed to upgrade the compression quality on about a 100 of these tracks.  It's not a big deal but I do find it very interesting with popular tracks.  As just one example to make my point, Sheryl Crow's 1998 hit My Favorite Mistake was not converted from the current 128 kbps to 256.  I could list a number of others that I see in the ITunes Store.  And it doesn't make any sense.  If the song is in the ITunes store, it should be making a match with the tracks in my library.  All of my music meets the minimum compression quality to be eligible for upgrades to 256 AAC under the ITunes Match service.  Any thoughts/feedback from anyone?  Thanks.

    Hi Fred,
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

  • Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings, says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. Please help

Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings, says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. I came across forums where this issue is mentioned on apple support and cnet.
Is there another option apart from upgrading ?

Well, in his defense, his parents bought him the player so I guess we can't blame him. Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV! As my iphone version is 4.3.3, and I am failed to upgrade to version 6.0. pls advise how to do ?
    From Hong Kong - Chun

You can't because iOS 6 is the latest software and you can only upgrade your phone to the latest software, so with iOS 6 being available you won't be able to upgrade to 5.1.1.
What you want to do is not possible, so you will either have to make the decision to upgrade to iOS 6 or not upgrade at all and stick with what you have.

  • Kipi-plugin too old?

I get this error when try to batch convert in digikam. "Cannot run properly 'convert' program from 'ImageMagick' package". Looking in to this it seems to be a problem with the kipi-plugin. This was a bug with the beta version from October 2007 and I believe it was fixed with RC1 December 29th, 2007. Can we get an update on the kipi-plugin?

Update your pacman database (pacman -Sy) or really force it to update (pacman -Syy).  The packages you are trying to download are not the latest versions

  • Unit test fails after upgrading to Kodo 4.0.0 from 4.0.0-EA4

I have a group of 6 unit tests failing after upgrading to the new Kodo
4.0.0 (with BEA) from Kodo-4.0.0-EA4 (with Solarmetric). I'm getting
exceptions like the one at the bottom of this email. It seems to be an
interaction with the PostgreSQL driver, though I can't be sure. I
haven't changed my JDO configuration or the related classes in months
since I've been focusing on using the objects that have already been
defined. The .jdo, .jdoquery, and .java code are below the exception,
just in case there's something wrong in there. Does anyone have advice
as to how I might debug this?
    Thanks,

  • Software upgrade, sync and performance problems.

When upgrading to the new iPhone software 4.0. on my iPhone 3G all my pictures captured on my iPhone during the last year has disappeared.
No backup is available in iTunes and the previous upgrades did NOT delete any content in the iPhone. Why did this change and how do I get the pictures back??
The phone is also gradually getting slow - opening a text message takes 5-8 sec this is also not acceptable.
I am a big Apple fan and has been very happy the last 6 years but the iPhone is currently not a product I would recommend to anyone. I also don't recommend SW upgrading since performance keeps going down with the introduction of fancy new features.
    Any help/suggestions is appreciated, thanks

Not sure why the photos in the Camera Roll are not included with your iPhone's backup, which has nothing to do with installing the firmware update. This means something was wrong with the backup for your iPhone. I didn't lose any data on my 3G when installing 4.0, but I always import the photos in the Camera Roll especially before installing a firmware update.
Although photos in the Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup or should be, so is a significant amount of other data. Photos in the Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup and your iPhone alone for this data which can be lost or stolen. I've always imported photos from every digital camera I've used and the same with my iPhone's digital camera, which should be treated the same as any other digital camera for a number of reasons.
Contacts are also included with your iPhone's backup or should be, but contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer and should be available on your computer with or without an iPhone or with or without any cell phone. I've helped countless people here who manually enter all contacts on their cell phone and depend on their cell phone alone for this important data, which can be lost or stolen.
Problems like this certainly did exist a few years back. Hardware can fail, data transfer can fail or get corrupted, and user error or not taking precaution when important data is involved. There are many more people here that don't maintain a backup for any important data on their computer's hard drive than do.
Losing important data is painful, but painful lessons are usually learned the best. Things can and do go wrong. For future reference, import the photos in the Camera Roll ASAP, and especially before installing a major firmware update when the transfer of an existing backup is involved.

  • Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'msdb110_upgrade.sql' encountered error 537, state 3, severity 16

    Hello,
I've encountered issue during installation of SP1 to SQL Server 2012. After upgrade I'm getting this error in Event Log:
Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'msdb110_upgrade.sql' encountered error 537, state 3, severity 16. This is a serious error condition which might interfere with regular operation and the database will be taken offline.
If the error happened during upgrade of the 'master' database, it will prevent the entire SQL Server instance from starting. Examine the previous errorlog entries for errors, take the appropriate corrective actions and re-start the database so that the script
    upgrade steps run to completion.
Can someone point me direction how I can fix it? This is a production server and currently only way to make it working is to use T902 flag in SQL Server startup params. I've found some suggestions to check Data path if it exists but it does so this is not
    the issue here. Any ideas?
    I've found also here
    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1377073-1550-1.aspx#bm1378279
suggestions for similar issue with SQL Server 2008 which that I should do:
    Via ssms:
    From msdb:

    dc_admin role
    Dc_operator role
    Dc_proxy role
    UlitityCMRReader role
    UtilityIMRReader role
    UtilityIMRWriter role
but for not I didn't tried it yet. This is standalone SQL Server instance.
    Any help really appreciated.
    Regards

    Script returns the same error.

Before sending my message I've searched update script for "FROM master.sys.master_files" and I found script which you are showing me. I've made some digging and when I runned:
           SELECT physical_name
           FROM master.sys.master_files
           WHERE (name = N'master')
it returned also path to one my customers database name which has filename set correctly but it's Logical DB name is master and mastlog. I'm running shared hosting company and I allow my customers to restore their DBs from .bak files but I have no idea why
this customers logical name is set to master and mastlog. Probably when I change this names update script will work as it should. On the other hand in my opinion there should be some kind of fail safe mechanism for situations like this one.
EDIT: After changing logical name for DB and log for mentioned DB your script runned fine so probably now when I remove T902 flag and restart my SQL Server update will run correctly. Big thanks for resolving this issue.

  • Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
    We need help. Thanks.

The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.
See more details on Cisco forum under title "WRP400 stops responding after browsing certain websites".
    Thanks.

  • Failed to upgrade more than one table at same time

    Hi
In Deployment Manager, I failed to upgrade more than one table at same time.
I tried to hightlight 4 tables and set the default action as Upgrade, and click File/Generate Deploy. It passed the code generation step then I click Deploy, they are all failed with no error message.
But they are all successful when I upgrade them one by one. Any one has any idea about this?
For the known reason, we have no choice to do the deployment with action of 'upgrade' through OMBPlus, instead, can only do that interactively through OWB Client. I can't imagine to ask our Production side DBA to upgrade 80 tables one by one. Or I have to use the generated scripts to do the upgrade, which will resulted in 'no deploy status updated' in OWB. Any help will be very appricated.
The version I'm using is OWB 10g.
    Thanks,
    Daming

First of all, Patrick's solution doesn't work for me. I didn't do cloning and there is no problem when check the WB tables.
Second, I think your solution is only good for the developing environment just to get tables upgrade via deployment manager. In most cases, when you do a new release on PROD environment you just exp/imp the MDL file from DEV to PROD and any developing is not recommended on PROD. But your approach is trying to manually the DB, and then EDIT the mapping to do the Reconcile and then deploy. Surely you can do that if you have full control on your PROD side. However, in my situation, I have no access to the PROD for the security reason and an DBA Operator of the Client is responsible to implement my Migration process on PROD by himself.

  • 10.2.0.1 RHEL 4.0 - root.sh CRS - Failed to upgrade Oracle Cluster Registry

I am trying to install 10.2.0.1 CRS on a 2 node cluster on RHEL 4.0 Nahant Update 7. I get the following errors when root.sh is run
Failed to upgrade Oracle Cluster Registry configuration._
Due to this reason , none of the clusterware background processes fail to start, following which the Configuration Assistant screen also experiences failure (Oracle Notification Server Configuration Assistant).
I tried to apply the 10.2.0.4 patchset also, still same issue. Did anyone see this issue ?
    1) We use LINUX DEVICE MAPPER for multipathing and udev
    2) We configured the multipathing device partitions and bound them to raw devices
So /dev/mapper/oradisk1 bound to /dev/raw/raw1 ( OCR disk)
and /dev/mapper/oradisk2 bound to /dev/raw/raw2 (VD)
I am able to perform the dd command successfully.
    Any ideas ?
    -Srinivas

BTW, we our OS is Linux x86-64 with RHEL 4.0 Nahant Update 7. I also applied the patch 4679769.
Did a complete uninstall and reinstall. But issue persists.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello
Did the system really work well before the upgrade?
and during/after the upgarde, did you changed any setting, especially regarding J2EE UME/ LDAP ?
Could you please help to check the following defaulttrace for more information:
      ../j2ee/cluster/server0/log/defaultTrace.*.trc
As per the error message you pasted here, the connection from your UME to the LDAP failed, so the core service of com.sap.engine.core.security.ume cannot startup.
Hence the first check point should be the connectioin to your LDAP, please open the configtool and go to the "UEM LDAP Data" setting there carefully, then you can perform a
    "Test Connection" there.
If the connection always fails, you can also download a LDAP browser from "http://www.ldapbrowser.com/download.htm", then
test whether you are able to connect to the LDAP, if it also fails, I would like to suggest you check with your LDAP vendor to verify whether there is any problem at the LDAP server side.
    Thanks
    Thunder
