Failure upon calling web service on the ESB deployed from jDeveloper

Hello!
I've created a database adapter and a routing service that calls the database adapter. When registering the services on the ESB, I get error when I try to call it, as the Wsdl references a wsdl file on http://localhost:8888...... As I see it, it should refer to in on the same server as the esb (soa suite) runs? I think this might be a deployment issue in jDeveloper, maybe ant? Any clue on this?
brgds, Paul Jørstad

Thank you very much for you reply!
But I do not get any further.. In the ESB control, the Soap Endpoint URI still says:
SOAP Endpoint URI
http://localhost:8888/event/xal/rs_product_p_get_complete_bom_flat
And in my wsdl file:
<soap:address location="http://oslsoad1/event/xal/rs_product_p_get_complete_bom_flat"/>
I've tried to de-register, and register the service.

  • Questions on web services in the CRM system from abap

    Hi, we are new to consuming web services within the abap engine and have a couple of questions
    When we consume the webservice do we have access to the web.xml and ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptors is there a standard servicref element
    Are these descriptors editable so we can add JAX/RPC client side messages to the service ref element
    What are all the versions also as I can't seem to find any info also any documentation on the above if it exists would be greatly appreciated
    Cheers,
    Devlin

    Hi Devlin,
    When you can consume the services with CAF core or deployable proxies within Netweaver04s, you are able to see the web.xml and the ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptors.
    For Comsuming services within ABAP,this doc shoukd serve the purpose,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6066fbe8-edc4-2910-9584-a9601649747d

    Also I found an old doc which talks about consuming in Netwaever,probably throws somelight on deployable proxies.

  • Calling Web Service with Flex 3.0 from WAS 6.40 and WAS 7.0

    I have followed Axel Kratel's tutorial from
    "How to Develop Flex Applications that Invoke Web Services" and tested it against a WAS 6.40 and a WAS
    7.00.
    In both cases, I get in the fault handler: faultCode="Channel.Security.Error".
    Could you tell for which systems it is supported?
    The error might have to do with crossdomain.xml file??
    Thanks for your insight!
    Tanguy Mezzano
    PS: I am testing it through a VPN, through a proxy, and with Basic Authentication.

    tanguy,
    In most cases it has to be the crossdomain.xml file.
    One way to check it out ...
    I use flexbuilder - if I run the application within flexbuilder then the application runs fine - i.e I execute the application from flexbuilder.
    However if I compile the same as an SWF and run the SWF through my browser I get the security error.
    You might want to also give the development environment you are using - are you using the SDK ??
    Also since you are working on VPN- just check if you are able to get the WSDL for your web service through the browser - we have a problem of having to execute the web service locally to check the same- I get an error page  ( URL ending in ssocntl... or something to do with SSO ... )

  • Need to call Web Services in a periodic manner from BizTalk at specific intervals? Does BizTalk have the Timer functionality to schedule?

    In BizTalk Send port, we have an option to enable service window but it works if we need to make a call with in a specific period. My requirement is, For instance to make a call at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 02:00 PM, 04:00 PM like that.
    Is there a way to implement this in Orchestrations or through any windows schedulers? Also, need to consider the performance as well.
    Please shed some light on this. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
    Vijay

    Your requirement is not of multiple schedule “service windows”, it’s of multiple schedule “service trigger” when you can send the message. Service windows would specify “between” a specific time window like between 1 AM and 2 AM or 9:00 AM and 12 AM. But
    your requirement is send the messages at a specific time.
    You can design this trigger for BizTalk to come using a schedule task to create a triggering file at the scheduled times so that it would trigger BizTalk and its artifacts (a send port) to send a message.
    Or my options would be create WMI script (or powershell or any script) which would start the send port and another script to stop the send port - when it’s called/triggered. Configure a schedule task to run the “start” script so that during send port can
    be started and after few minute call another schedule task which would call the “stop”-script which would stop the send ports. – Simple isn’t it

  • Calling web Service from the Custom Adapter.Is it Possible?

    Hi Experts,
                    I am having requirment in which i have to cal com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.LookupService for calling web Service from the Custom Adapter.Is it Possible?
    Regards,
    Rajesh.D

    Hi Rajesh..
    Just looking the problem in another angle.. if there is no constraint that you have to use XI specific API to call the web service, why dont you use usual Java API used for calling a web service inside you custom adapter (I have Microsoft background.. donno exactly how it is done in Java,, but in .NET kind of a language it is possible). SInce your adapter is in Java itself and is capable of calling web service.. collect or lookup the data whatever you want and validate...
    Just a thought..

  • Calling ABAP Web Service on the system with two application servers

    Hello all,
    I try to figure out, how to setup a web service in the TC WSCONFIG in the multi application server environment.
    Basically the requirement is that when WSClient calls my WS, it should not care about accessibility of one or another application server. In other words the WS's URI should contain the IP/domain name of "SAP Web Dispatcher" or other component, which handles the loadbalancing.
    I think it could be done in ICM within WSCONFIG transaction, but I'm completely lost inside the setup. Also I was not able to find proper helpsap page with the description.
    Is there a WEBLOG or any other document how to setup this ?
    Thank you for your help in advance.
    Regards
    Tom

    Hello,
    You do not have anything to do in SAP transactions.
    The HTTP load balancing is the SAP Web dispatcher job.
    Just install and configure the web dispatcher. Follow HELP.SAP.COM, it is well explained.
    We use this config to load balance 200 000 web servce calls/day on 5 abap application servers.

  • ADF page calling Web Service with multiple params the right way

    Hello,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.4.0.
    I have an email notification web service that takes 4 parameters, from, to, subject and body. What I need to do is at the end of each 'Commit', call this web service to send notification to a group of audiences telling them a new record has been created. Following are steps I took to make it work:
    1. Created a web service data control using the email notification WSDL.
    2. Drag-and-Drop the data control on jspx page as ADF Parameter form.
    3. Set Panel Form Layout's Visible property to 'False' so the controls doesn't show.
    4. In a backingbean where method 'onSave()' is, I put the code to call the web service.
    // in onSave() method after successful commit
          ValueExpression veFrom =
              efactory.createValueExpression(elctx, "#{bindings.from.inputValue}", Object.class);
          veFrom.setValue(elctx, "[email protected]");
          ValueExpression veTo =
              efactory.createValueExpression(elctx, "#{bindings.to.inputValue}", Object.class);
          veTo.setValue(elctx, "[email protected]");
    // omitted rest of the params for brevity
          OperationBinding method = bindings.getOperationBinding("process");
          method.execute();This code works, but I am not sure if I am doing it right. For some reason, there is a better way of achieving what I need.
    Many thanks in advance for your candid comments and suggestions.

    Edited by: Bones Jones on Apr 29, 2011 6:44 AM

    Hi,
    As you have dropped a method in the JSPX page as a parameter form, it adds unnecessary UI components, that you will NOT be using.
    Instead of making the panelFormLayout visible property to false, delete it from the UI page.
    Thus, you would have only the required method binding and the parameters defined as attribute values in the pageDef - which is as expected.
    While deleting the panelFormLayout, delete it manually from the page source and doNOT delete thru the structure pane as it would delete the bindings as well.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    I have found some Debug entries into my log file when this BPM process executes and go in Suspend mode. I do not understand the error. But this Begun entries have Green symbol which I understand there should not be any problem. But then why my process goes to Suspend mode??? If you like then I can also provide this Debug entry message from log file in order to get the idea about this problem.
    I use Logical destination on automatic BPM step. Which has WSDL link. This wsdl link I have test into WS Navigator which works fine. But I am wondering why it is not working in my BPM process?????
    does any one has idea what to do?

  • Call web service using code.

    we want to call a web service from ADF JSP form.
    We used web service data control. But deployment failed.
    we applied Patch 5878326 to JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 and OAS.
    But problem is not solved.
    So we need a new way to call web services.
    is there any other way to call web services from Jdev.
    any code sample will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Workaround for the Connection Failure
    In JDeveloper, locate the .deploy file in the Resources folder of your web application project.
    Double-click the file to open the WAR Deployment Profile Properties dialog.
    Expand File Groups - WEB-INF/classes - Contributors.
    In the Contributors panel, click Add and use the Browse dialog to locate the .adf folder in the root for your application (for example, /jdev/mywork//.adf path.)
    Select the .adf folder and add it as a contributor to the deployment profile.
    Note that the .adf folder does not become part of the deployable archive. This merely ensures that the contents of the META-INF get placed in an appropriate location in the archive that will permit the web container to find it when the application loads.
    The failure to get the connection to Webservice is beacuse the "connections.xml" is not available in the deployed archive.
    This has been release note'd as in
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/10.1.3.0.3/10.1.3_addendum.html under "Deployment issues"

  • Best way to call web service from Message Driven Bean

    I'm q'ing msgs up and would like to use a message driven bean to forward them to
    an external web service. Weblogic workshop does not seem to support web service
    controls in an EJB project. Any suggestions?

    Paul,
    A non-trivial alternative, since you have the WSDL, would be to forget about trying
    to use generated client code and just use JAX-RPC dynamic invocation instead.
    That's how I call external web services from within an EJB in situations in which
    generated client code cannot be incorporated prior to deployment. Minimally all
    that is required is the WSDL and the service name, port name, and operation name,
    although if non-builtin parameter types are used then you will have to manipulate
    the service's type mapping registry.

    Could you not first use clientgen on the external webservice, then take

    We don't have exactly that example, but you might take a look at this

    My primary skill is PL/SQL but the only information I found on Oracle's site to call a web service from a 10g Form was creating a jar file and importing the java class. Since I don't want to ask our corporate IT to make changes on the UNIX box for the jar files I went a different route.
    I use UTL_HTTP.BEGIN_REQUEST to call a URL then load I load the data to a table as a CLOB since we have more than 4000 characters. Now I need to parse the XML and load it into a form. I have never done this so if there is a helpful site please let me know. I have looked at several sites but none do what I want.
    Thanks

  • Calling web service from oracle forms fails with ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR

    Problem Description:
    I'm following the steps as per the doc:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/howto/webservicefromforms/ws_10_1_3_from_forms.html
    to create a java stub to call external web service and then use java importer in oracle forms to call this web service from oracle forms.
    WSDL for external web service used is http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConverter.asmx?wsdl
    Calling the web service using JDeveloper works fine but from Oracle Forms returns ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR; Unable to call out to Java, Invalid object type for argument 1
    The code from oracle form to call web service is as below:
    DECLARE
    jo ora_java.jobject;
    rv ora_java.jobject;
    ex ora_java.jobject;
    outString varchar2(2000);
    BEGIN
    jo:= CurrencyConvertorStub.new;
    --This will get the exchange rate from US Dollars to UK Sterling.
    rv:= CurrencyConvertorStub.ConversionRate(jo,'CAD','USD');
    message (float_.floatValue(RV));
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR then
    message('Unable to call out to Java, ' ||ORA_JAVA.LAST_ERROR);
    WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then
    ex := ORA_JAVA.LAST_EXCEPTION;
    outString := Exception_.toString(ex);
    message(outString);
    END;
    Any help/ideas on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Yes, it is the message line - so basically this call fails => rv:= CurrencyConvertorStub.ConversionRate(jo,'CAD','USD'); and control goes in the exception block
    WHEN ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR then
    message('Unable to call out to Java, ' ||ORA_JAVA.LAST_ERROR);
    Below is the code from java stub that was generated using JDeveloper by using web services stub/skeleton and associating the WSDL
    public Double ConversionRate(String FromCurrency, String ToCurrency) throws Exception
    URL endpointURL = new URL(endpoint);
    Envelope requestEnv = new Envelope();
    Body requestBody = new Body();
    Vector requestBodyEntries = new Vector();
    String wrappingName = "ConversionRate";
    String targetNamespace = "http://www.webserviceX.NET/";
    Vector requestData = new Vector();
    requestData.add(new Object[] {"FromCurrency", FromCurrency});
    requestData.add(new Object[] {"ToCurrency", ToCurrency});
    requestBodyEntries.addElement(toElement(wrappingName, targetNamespace, requestData));
    requestBody.setBodyEntries(requestBodyEntries);
    requestEnv.setBody(requestBody);
    Message msg = new Message();
    msg.setSOAPTransport(m_httpConnection);
    msg.send(endpointURL, "http://www.webserviceX.NET/ConversionRate", requestEnv);
    Envelope responseEnv = msg.receiveEnvelope();
    Body responseBody = responseEnv.getBody();
    Vector responseData = responseBody.getBodyEntries();
    return (Double)fromElement((Element)responseData.elementAt(0), java.lang.Double.class);
    }
