Is there a HTML widget that can be plugged into iWeb that will allow a person to display their family tree?

when i'm editing iWeb, the player shows up and plays the music and everything is fine! but when i publish the site, it says "Movie not loaded" when you click on it.
the site i'm currently working on is still being worked on, but i made an extra page to show whoever could help me. the link is:

That method can be done using iFrame code in an HTML snippet. You need to upload the Family Matters - Computer.m4v file to your server and link to it there via an HTML snippet and iFrame code. An example is in this demo page along with the code: QT movies via iFrame.
There are other ways to add the movie (the full one Family Matters - Computer.m4v.
One is to upload the file to your server and linking to it as shown in this demo page: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window.

It works great, but I want the fonts and font colors to be the same as those used on my iWeb page. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

A Family Tree Diagram

I need to display a large diagram, a family tree with
potentially many branches on a web page. It may be necessary to
scroll to see hidden parts (due to its size). Two ways of
presenting the data come to mind:
1. Get detail from a database.
2. Draw each diagram on a large "sheet" in some drawing
application.
Can anyone point me to some source advice to get me started
(need some more inspiration on this one)?
Perhaps there's a D8 plug-in just for this type of problem. I
have studio 8 (although not constrained to using this!).

How do I build a family tree on macbook pro

Any suggestions/recommendations on how to build a family tree on my MacBook Pro? Should I use Numbers or Pages? I am used to using Window based programs. Not interested in paying $100 for a template.
I am starting with my grandparents, then their 8 children (my aunts and uncles), then my generation (cousins), then our children, and 1 more generation. Would like to add birth/death/married dates, and possiblly geographical info.

You (or your kids) inadvertently installed adware. You do not need to download or install anything to fix it.

What has caused an app I purchased (Family Tree Maker for Mac) and currently have installed, to disappear from the Mac Store. Does this mean it is no longer sold? If so, how will I get update notices or re-download if needed?

I purchased and installed Family Tree Maker for Mac from the App Store about 6 months ago. I heard that possibly a new version was coming, though I had not received any update notice. I went to the App Store and it no longer shows the app, either as available for purchase or as an app I have previously purchased. So I can't get any information on the app, support, etc.. How can an app I have purchased disappear from the purchased list??? How can I get update information or support links? (contacted FTM website and phone support and they said if I bought my program from App store, I have to get update information there).....the Update Info button in my program is actually greyed out!! So the program I bought doesn't even have the normal update link!! I thought one of the advantages of App Store purchase was being able to redownload the program in the unlikely event it was lost....ie: no need to worry about having the install CD. So now I only have my installed, operating copy and no way to reinstall if it crashes due to corrupt data, etc.!! Not a happy result from an App Store purchase! And I must say the circular references in the support link are frustarting...apparently there is NO live support for the App Store itself!

Thanks for THAT tip: iTunes acct. history DOES show my (few) Mac app purchases, buried in with my MANY iPhone and iPad apps! So I CAN prove I bought it (7 months ago, not 6), but you wouldn't know it from the App Store app on my Mac! But that does leave a few other ?'s hanging: like how could I download it again, or check for updates (as I said, the version installed has the "update" button greyed out! Ancestry.com (who sells it online and support it for other buyers said update info for App Store purchasers comes through the App Store.
I may just be out of luck with this because after 7 months of ownership, they (Ancestry) just replaced FTM with a new version (Family Tree Maker for Mac2) that is NOT an upgrade (though prior owners get $4.00 off on a $52.00 purchase!!). I'll probably just plump for that....direct from Ancestry.com...and give up on the Mac App Store, because the new version reportedly has major enhancements in sync-ing your family history record between your computer and the cloud program available online. Genealogy software, like everything else is migrating to the cloud, but one really does need a resident program on their device because you're often collecting data "in the field" in libraries, historical archives, cemeteries, etc. where you really can't get online in many cases. Fortunately, more and more of the source data is coming online, so more and more can be done from home!

Aperture (2.1.1.) - iWeb cannot find the Aperture Gallery in the web widget

I think this is not really related to MobileMe's current problems, as it shows alright on the web:
If I publish a Web Album to MM (and I think it was the same issue with .Mac but am not sure), everythings working fine upload wise.
Only if I want to include the Web Album in iWeb with the help of the Web-Widget tool, Aperture Web-Galleries do not show up.
iPhoto works fine, what's published to MM there shows up on the iWeb widget menu (if not password protected)
Does anyone experience the same? is that 'normal' or is there a work-around?

The workaround for this is to turn your Aperture galleries ( ie, albums) into iPhoto galleries, at least temporarily. You can do this online, once you are logged into your actual .me account (http://www.me.com/gallery/#home). Select an album, choose the Settings button at the top of the page ( a button with "light switches" graphic on it ), change the "Syncs with:" option to iPhoto and Ok. Then launch iWeb and you should find the gallery listed there. Once you publish the site, you should be ok to set the album settings back to Aperture. +(Haven't double checked this yet ...)+
*Note 1:*
If you don't see the Syncs with option, then hold down the 'shift' key when you click on the Settings.
Then it will show.

Folks are confusing the web gallery albums that are showing up in the intra-app media browser (just images are accessed here) and the insert gallery menu item (entire gallery inserted). Easy mistake but they are different functions.

Error when installing FlexSlider Web Widget

I am the author of the Flexslider Web Widget. It seems there is an error in Windows Dreamweaver CS5 and CS5.5 when installing the widget which some people have reported (Actually, only one person emailed me the actual error, everyone else just said it won't install and gave it a 1 rating). Now that I have the info as to what the error is for some people, I am hoping someone can give me some feedback to fix it!
The error is:
"While executing onLoad in InsertOAWidget.html, the following JavaScript erro(s) occurred:
At line 2883 of file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Shared\OAWidget\OAWidgetManager.js": child.firstChild has no properties
I have succesffully installed it on a Mac and PC in CS 5 , CS5.5 and CS6 as the only Widget so I can't find the issue in my case. A conflict? An error in code that only effects Windows? Any ideas out there?

I was able to install the widget, but when I attempt to insert a Flexslider gallery into my Dreamweaver page I get the same error message that Mike typed out above. I am on a Mac, using Dreamweaver CS5. I would love some help, as this widget looks like a great layout.

IWeb not showing .Mac web gallery albums in Web Widgets pull down menu

I'm trying to update a webpage and insert a .Mac Web gallery album using the Web Widgets pull down menu. The problem is the menu isn't offering/showing ALL of my .Mac Web Gallery albums. It shows some and I can insert those, however, it isn't showing all of them. I've tried refreshing the list in iPhoto, but it still won't show in iWeb '08. I've even given it several days to refresh, but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Nice, didn't think of that. I went into iPhoto and, in the Settings, changed it from being only viewable to restricted groups. I opened it up to "Everyone" and, back in iWeb, there it appeared in the Web Widget pull down menu. I then inserted the album and published the web page. I then went back to iPhoto re-instated the restrictions in the Advanced settings.

Widget Browser is dead. Adobe discontinued it quite a while ago. Use the Add-ons page or switch to jQuery plugins.

Published web galleries not available as web widgets in iWeb

hi all. sorry some are experiencing probs with iWeb '08. It does seem to have some bugs, but man it is cool for my uses! I have published a web gallery in iPhoto, but when I go to insert it in my iWeb through the Insert Menu up top or through the web widget menu it says there are no web galleries available. i've restarted my machine and still no go. I can visit my web gallery no problem on the internet. Any thoughts? just a bug that needs to be squashed?

Same problem here. Does anyone know what this command does? Does it create an iframe tag with the web gallery embedded as a frame? Perhaps we could simulate the effect with HTMP snippets while apple fixes it.

IWeb '08 - Web Widget - MobileMe Gallery

Hi,
Since the software update, I made an iMovie and published it to my Web Gallery. I went to put a copy of it in my iWeb by inserting a Web Widget from my MobileMe Gallery - but the new movie I made wasn't listed. All of my old movies were there but that one.
Any ideas?

for movies I now upload my movies to google video on private setting, I then embed the code in the same way you would embed a google map or You Tube clip.
It seems to work better than importing the video into iweb

Anyone know of any killer countdown web widgets?

New to iweb, just now figuring out the use of web widgets and they sure seem cool but a bit hard to navigate as to what is what out there.
I'd like to know if anyone an point me to their favorites, in particular I am looking for a countdown widget, where the days and weeks toward a special event are counted down.

Most of canned countdown javascript widgets are based on well know date, they are well and good... but they are not good unless your birthday is on New Year day, July 4 or Xmas
