  • Data of customize BSP in Enterprise Portal is not displayed

    Dear All,
    I stuck on to find out the solution, in order to display FAQ list in BSP Enterprise Portal by using customer id to logon to Enterprise Portal, need your guide.
    Let me explain:
    It is customize/own develop BSP application, which is search FAQ (maintain in trxn: crmd_iia_faq) based on product. This is done by calling standard FAQ FM in BSP code, pass in product GUID to retrieve list of FAQs, and display FAQs list in the BSP page. Also, from the FAQ details, call standard Problem and Solution FM to get the details of Problems and Solutions, and then display Problems and Solution in another BSP page.
    In the other words, this custom BSP application display data which is maintain in transaction code: COMMPR01, CRMD_IIA_FAQ, and IS01.
    Setup in portal to display this iview/BSP application is done, because I manage to access the main BSP page in portal after logon with customer ID.
    Difference result:
    1.     Run BSP standalone in CRM:
    When I execute/run/test this bsp application standalone in se80 after logon to sapgui by using customer id, bsp data is displayed, which is working fine.
    2.     When I access/run this bsp through portal after logon portal with customer id, bsp data is not displayed, which is not working correctly.
    Things that I had tried:
    1.     customer user profile:
    •     Tried assign different profiles of customer id, my problem is not solved. I even add SAP_ALL profile to customer ID.
    [Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    2.     customer user role:
    •     standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER (assign standard role to customer ID):
    a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Look for standard role in “assignment of crm object method to role” -> get a standard role which is relate to problem and solution: SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER.
    b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role -> SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER is assigned to portal role: com.sap.pct.crm.channelmanager.
    c.     Go to trxn code: SU01 -> add role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER into customer ID.
    d.     run the portal and access BSP application
    [Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    •     Create new role, ZSAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER:
    a.     go to trxn code: PFCG -> copy standard role, SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER to customize role -> access authorization tab -> look for “authorization for BSP applications” -> change “Application Scenario” and “View for UI display” to “*”.
    b.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Application/Layout -> add new entry to View, view named as Z_ESERVICE.
    c.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> add new entries into “assignment of crm object method to role” (copy SAP_PCC_CHANNELMANAGER).

    •     Maintain existing customize role, which is used to display Activity:
    a.     Go to trxn code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> layout of UI (PCUI) -> Navigation (URL generation) -> assign portal role to single role, I check the configuration has done in CRM to assign/map this BSP role to portal role.
    b.     go to trxn code: PFCG  -> open existing customize role -> access Authorization tab -> click on "change authorization" button -> search existing Application scenario -> add '' inside (also try with certain standard scenario which is relate to product, FAQ, solution, problem) -> search existing view for UI display -> add "".
    a.     run the portal and access BSP application
    [Result] no BSP data is displayed.
    Questions:
    1.     Is my problem related to role setup of customer ID?  If yes, can guide me how to create authorization, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution, to customer ID?
    2.     Is it possible that my problem cause by missing/wrong portal role setup or wrong mapping between CRM role to Portal Role? If yes, can guide me how to check authorization of customer ID in portal, which is related to product, FAQ, problem, and solution?
    3.     Any other reason that cause this problem?

    If you know the BSP application name, then you can check this on /SE80 and get the bsp component details.

    Hi,
    apart from checking the FAQ at the BSP forum, goto se80 then click Tag Library, next click bsp-extension, then click htmlb and then double click htmlb:listbox.
    all is neatly explained by SAP on how to use it, it even has an example.

  • Using Call transaction in a BSP scenario

    I encountered a problem the other day with using a BAPI in a BSP application. Within this BAPI a call transaction was made. After reading several posts in this forum and the very interesting blog BSP In-Depth: MESSAGE Statement Handling /people/mark.finnern/blog/2003/09/16/bsp-in-depth-message-statement-handling of Brian, it became clear to me that message types E,A and X during this call transaction cause HTTP error 500 no dump info and termination of the session. All in all not so much fun.
    After having an OSS message battle with SAP, their final conclusion was: it is not possible and there are no alternatives.
    Unsatisfied I tried to find a solution. And I found one, which I would like to share with you as it might cause more people problems.
    To be short, read the weblog from brian for more info, the main problem is the use of a 'very dark' dynpro when logged in with a bsp application. This session is of type Plug-in HTTP. If we call the BAPI/RFC with DESTINATION NONE a RFC type session is opened. With such a session the message type E,A and X result in 'normal' behaviour, that is the BAPI returns message type E.
    This doesnt work with Function modules which are not RFC enabled, however most of the times it is easy to create a RFC enabled wrapper around it.
    Have fun,
    Vincent

    Hallo Vincent,
    Many thanks for taking the time to write this down! I have actually learned something new tonight. Very simple and ellegant solution to this problem. If you don't mind, I would like to add this into the <a href="/people/brian.mckellar/blog/2003/10/23/bsp-trouble-shooting-frequently-asked-short-questions">FAQ</a>. This is something that is sure to help other people as well!

  • To add attachment in BSP page

    Hi all,

    Thanks in advance.

    As Thomas suggested you should use <htmlb:fileUpload> to allow files to be attached to service tickets from BSP page. And the same can be stored either in a Ztable or in SAP DMS.
    for file upload - check out SBSPEXT_HTMLB/fileupload.bsp
    alos check out this weblog.

  • FAQ for Forums

    Hi friends,
    I am sure many of us agree with this  :
    Over and over the same questions are asked, and our very "energetic" SDN'ers respond to it, but surely there comes a time when you say "Oh for God's sake, please do a search and you will find an answer".
    Inspite of a sticky post, which clearly says "Read before you post" , we see many posts of the same kind. It is like parking right in front of a "Do Not Park" sign.
    Many posts with "Urgent" in the subject. Brian McKellar has so many times mentioned in the BSP Forum , if it is really so urgent use the service.sap.com and get your answers.
    Clearly we need some kind of education where we make other SDN'ers aware of these basic points and therefore appreciate SDN much better.
    Just add your points to this thread, how we can make the forums a better place to hang out !
    My 2 cents:
    a) There should be a blog from time-to-time, a forum thread  from time-to-time (all should be eye-catching) to just let them know "How to make SDN work for you ?"
    b) Some kind of consolidation mechanism for FAQ, where you can actually specify the type of question using one of the Checkboxes/Dropdown and based on these prepare a FAQ.
    c) Before the user asks a question, just give him a reference - "Have you checked these posts and do you find it useful? " If he does, he can just say "Yes I found it useful"
    Regards,
    Subramanian V.

    Does it matter if the US is bigger or smaller? The idea is not that the "them" gets bigger but the "US" brings more of them along.
    Have you heard of the "play it forward" thought? You do something nice for something who in return does something nice for 3 people (made a movie about it) who in turn do something nice for 3 people each, so on and so forth. The same principle is applied to online communities and leading by example. Therefore, as Marilyn points out a few posts prior to this one SDN is going to launch a Wiki and that Wiki will help to create FAQ's and other items to try and help eliminate some of the repeated questions. However, does that mean that everyone will search yet one more place for the answer before simply posting? No it does not, or forums have undergone multiple server upgrades because of the huge amount of activity (800 you say? try at least 800 every few minutes and not always the same 800)
    The aim of SDN/BPX and you nailed it on the head is to provide the best possible content and quality possible. Therefore we continue to strive for that, does the posting  and I've been looking at the stats of a small percentage of users about a small percentage of repeated questions indicate a problem? At the moment I would say no it does not, could it escalate, yes it could is there ways to help prevent it - yes there are.
    In the past especially in the BSP forum we saw repeated questions, in turn someone would write a weblog and post it - once the weblog was written answering some of these "standard" questions it became the mission of all the top contributors of that forum to respond very quickly to any new post with not only the link to the new weblog but also a FREINDLY (I mean that) reminder to search first as there is a lot of content on SDN that they might have missed if they did not search more than the last 90 days.
    As for the status of a poster, well our point system is a good indicator of someone's experience for different areas and I would easily say Thomas Jung is an expert or that Rich Heilman is an expert in ABAP but even though Rich has more points Horst Keller is in my opinion an expert in ABAP as well. However, I don't think anyone of these people would call themselves an expert. The art of learning is neverending and whether you are an expert or a beginner you have something of value to add be it a different point of view or different prespective.
    I for one will take what someone like Rich says to heart more than John Smith (just made that name up) not because of his points or what he "knows" but because of his dedication and activities in the community. He's an active member of our community and therefore he has a voice to be listened to just as each of you particpating in this thread do. Will Rich be one of the first people I email if I have a question about ABAP - of course I know who he is and I trust him to give me the best possible answer (I thought this back when he had less points than me too grin)
    So what have we gained so far in this discussion?
    a) SDN has a lot of users who are not playing the same we are and most times they are 1-offs, fly in ask take and leave
    b) SDN has a strong sense of community as a whole and lots of great people
    c) We need more FAQ's to try to help people
    Results
    a) major bummer but expected as in every community
    b) most excellent
    c) hopefully by the end of this year
    So where do we go from here?

  • New Note: 846890 FAQ MaxDB/liveCache Administration

  • How can I open a PDF stored in IXOS and then display it in a BSP

    Hello gurus,
    I have created a PDF icon and an onclick action to open a pdf, that displays on every row of an assignment block in the actions column, but I do not know the technical process to determine how to get a PDF from the IXOS system from the line selected. (even if I know it depends on an ID attribute of that assignment block) I want to to call a transaction launcher with the url for the pdf in the IXOS that has an ID that identifies which line in the assignment block the user has clicked the pdf icon for (does that make sense?)
    Therefore, I am assuming the PDF should correspond to the relance ID of the row in the assignment block, but I would like more information as per the business logic involved in able to achieve the desired results for this particular specification. I already confirmed that the XURL or any other attribute in the BOL object does not contain the URL to use for this. I have looked at the class I was told that it may contain the required business logic for determining which PDF in IXOS to fetch for a particular row, and I am currently trying to reverse engineer the logic through looking at other code and using the debugger, but so far I haven'T had much luck.
    Here are some questions I have now for the functional side in the meantime:
    1) Can we fetch the PDF in IXOS for each line of an assignment block?
    2) Which URL should I call with the transaction launcher? a URL link to the PDF on the IXOS system??
    3) Do we have to configure a transaction in the IMG to be launched?
    4) Do we have to create a logical link there that I will make dynamic to call the right PDF for each table line?
    5) Are there any existing examples of this or a similar functionality/ logic that I could refer to, preferably in CRM 7 WebUI?
    6) Do you have any code to just display a PDF in a new window? Or prompt a download?
    One possible way I thought of would be for me to have a logical link defined in the IMG, that I could call passing it different attributes (eg. some object id, etc) and then return the PDF and display it in the UI in a new browser window by itself. Alternatively, we can just prompt a download. What do you think would be the optimal behaviour here?
    Please do not hesitate to propose any potential solution. Any partial answers/ links to wikis/ other threads, anything would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Jonathan Laplante

    Hi,
    I partially answered your question in another posting but I feel that you´re in the wrong forum for your problem. This is for BSP development and you talk about CRM.

  • FAQ: How do I share files in Revel?

    SHARING OVERVIEW:
    In Revel, you can share links to albums which allows others to view photos and videos from a web browser at adoberevel.com. Revel also supports sharing in a variety of other ways, by email, facebook, twitter, message, etc. In addition, users can create libraries and invite other revel users (such as close friends and family) to collaborate in a group library. Collaborative users in a group library can add photos and videos, make comments, and favorite photos and videos.
    SHARING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
    Users can share specified photos and videos on social media sites such as facebook and twitter. They can also post a link on social media sites that will take users to view an album on adoberevel.com in their browser.
    SHARING LINKS TO ALBUMS (Recipient does not need a Revel account)
    General sharing in Revel is done by sending a link to an album to others so that they can then click on it or paste it into a web browser in order to access your Revel album online for viewing and downloading files (You can enable or disable downloading for each album). If you want to share a particular photo, you can view an album in the browser, then select the photo of choice, and then copy the url in the browser bar and send that instead. Users will still have access to the entire album, but it will open one specific photo.
    SHARING VIDEOS
    In iOS, you can share a video by tapping on the video to bring it up in full screen view (loupe view). Tap on the arrow on the upper right hand corner and pick "share". You can share via message, twitter , or email. Alternately, you can select the arrow and pick share to facebook.
    In adoberevel.com, videos must be put into an album and then a link to the album can be shared as described above in “Sharing Links to Albums”
    Video is not yet supported in the Mac and Windows 8 versions of Revel.
    GROUP LIBRARIES  (Recipient must have a Revel account)
    Revel users have the ability to create additional libraries, and the option to maintain them collaboratively with selected trusted users. This feature allows multiple users to login to Revel and access a "GROUP" library. The owner invites other users to participate in his/her group library by email invitation. Users who participate in a group library will have access to the library when they login to their own accounts. They can add and edit files, and remove files that they have added, but cannot delete files that others have added.
    See this link for a great overview to get started with Revel. Note the tab for apple vs windows platforms:

    Hi Gábor,
    It is possible you are sharing the wrong URL. This wouldn't surprise me as the FAQ is terribly confusing. I am going to re-state how to share an album with friends.
    To share an album from adoberevel.com:
    1. Go into your Library and create an album with whatever images you'd like.
    2. While in the album select Share. A dialog displays - select to Start Sharing
    3. After that another dialog displays with a short URL. Copy that URL and send it out via email or use one of the share icons that display on that screen. You can also select from that screen if you want people to be able to download images.
    You can select to stop sharing the album at any time by going back to that same dialog and select to Stop Sharing.
    If you want to share an album through the Revel Desktop:
    1. Go into your Library and select the Album icon (or go to File>New Empty Album
    2. Enter a name for you album. Select the Share to adoberevel.com checkbox. You can also decide if you want to allow downloads here.
    3. A short URL will be generated. You can copy that now if you'd like or come back to it. Select Create button.
    4. Add photos to the album.
    5. Click on the album in the list and a little " i " will display next to the album name. Click on it and the URL will display. That is the URL that you share.
    Again, you can select to stop sharing the album at any time by going back to that same dialog and select to Stop Sharing.

  • Any ideas on a nice BSP view pretty printer?

    Hi there,
    I am wondering whether somebody already tried to extend the SAP standard pretty printer by an own functionality which fits better for pages with mixed content, containing not only BSP-elements but also HTML-tags.
    The standard pretty printer considers everything as plain text which is not a BSP-element and leaves it unaltered. Only BSP-elements are arranged according to their tree structure.
    This produces ugly results for pages with mixed content.
    1.) Requirement
    A Pretty Printer for HTML-based BSP views should cover the following:
    (a) HTML-Tags and BSP-elements together form the chain. As in following example:
    <z:table table_id="testTab" binding="//test/gt_test" rows="5">
      <z:tableBody position="top">
        <colgroup>
          <col width="4%">
          <col width="96%">
        </colgroup>
      </z:tableBody>
      <z:column name="type" header="<%=zcl_bsp_util=>dtel_text_s('EDI_TTYP')%>"
                listPos="10"/>
      <z:column name="text" listPos="20"></z:column>
    </z:table>
    (b) Certain HTML formatting tags like I, B, etc. should not be added to the stack but be treated inline.
    (c) HTML-attribute names should be converted to lower case, the attribute values should be quoted.
    (d) Like for BSP-elements, there should be a threshold after which the attributes should appear in separate lines. Instead of a certain maximum "number of attributes", this could also be a maximum number of characters per line.
    (e) Scripting Tags (<% ... %>) should start at a new line, if the content contains new-lines.
    (f) Evaluation Scripting (<%= ... %>) should be inline, if they are contained within text nodes (and not within HTML oder BSP element nodes).
    (g) The Pretty Printer should be parametrizable (with parameters like indent-depth,... ).
    2.) Exits?
    Of course, one could always use an external HTML editor and write an add-on for that editor which produces the desired result. Or one could take the view content into the clipboard, paste it into a plain text editor like UltraEdit or TextPad which allows external commands, apply an external, self-written pretty printer to it and then paste the result back into the View. But it would be easier to use the "Pretty Printer" button directly to get the result. Therefore the question arises at which point the standard Pretty Printer Functionality could be modified or extended.
    I didn't find an exit. But the pretty-print itself is doubly-decoupled in the standard which minimizes the number of points where an extension has to be made:
    2.a) First decoupling point: The Fcode handler method pretty_printer_ext( ) in cl_o2_page is calling
    dynamically a method in cl_o2_co2_processor:
    * call pretty printer
      create object pp type ('CL_O2_CO2_PROCESSOR').
      appl_str = me->pagekey-applname.
      page_str = me->pagekey-pagekey.
      try.
          CALL METHOD pp->('PRETTY_PRINT')
            EXPORTING
              indent              = 2
              ATTRIBUTE_NORMALIZE = 'X'
              ATTRIBUTE_THRESHOLD = 2
              BSP_UNFORMATTED     = source
              appl                = appl_str
              page                = page_str
            IMPORTING
              test_ok             = test_ok
              BSP_FORMATTED       = pp_source.
        catch cx_o2_co2_exception into o2ex.
    2.b) Second decoupling point:
    The method pretty_print() of class cl_o2_co2_processor (fancy names, by the way. It seems that many former chemistry students had joined the BSP team ),
    there is a second delegation, to a local class, as follows:
      data pretty type ref to LCL_BSP_PRETTY_PRINT.
      pretty = LCL_BSP_PRETTY_PRINT=>getInstance( processor = me ).
    The real logic for doing the Pretty Print, finally, is performed in this local class.
    3.) Implementation.
    Since, up to my knowledge, there is no HTML parser in the ABAP world,
    the implementation could be based on existing HTML Parsers, like the Perl module Parser::HTML, or the Java package http://htmlparser.sourceforge.net/ . The pretty printer could then be called as external OS command.
    Are there any ideas out there? Or is there somebody who already worked in this direction?
    Regards,
    Rüdiger

    For those who are interested. I found out that the Dave Ragget's classic "HTML Tidy" (see <a href="http://tidy.sourceforge.net/">http://tidy.sourceforge.net/</a> )  is available in ABAP! There is a class CL_HTMLTIDY (at least here in my SAP_BASIS 700 system) which wraps calls of HTML Tidy by kernel modules.
    The class is undocumented, but there are 2 OSS notes of this year for it, so it might well be that it is alive.
    HTML Tidy can surely not directly be used for Pretty Printing BSP views, but for designing test cases or for doing things like HTML parsing, it might be a helpful tool.
