Faster selection of elements in list-boxes...
I've a long listbox and I like to find my values faster by typing the first letter of the search-value and the marker should jump to the first element starting with that letter. How can I do this?
The same problem holds with using the scrolling function of the mouse - how can I activate it?

This should be on by default.
When the VI is running, or when the panel is in run mode, tab to the
listbox and type ahead. It should move around like you expect. If not,
you can tweak using the Keyboard Mode. Also keep in mind that typeahead
works best when lists are sorted, or almost sorted.
If you want the keyboard there without tabbing, set the Key Focus
property for the listbox to TRUE whenever you want it to be the keyboard
focus.
The menus should
alread type ahead when they have are opened and have a
scrollbar.

Multiple Selection not working on List Box Properties/Option Screen
When I select multiple selection on the List Box Properties/Options tab, I get no difference from the single selection default. It still highlights only the last of the multiple entries (like a single selection) and displays only the last entry. Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks for your help.To select multiple items, you need to hold down the Ctrl key when clicking additional items.

Display selected items in dynamic list box
I need to display the selected items in a dynamic list box -
this worked great - but now client wants multiple selected. I do
have the items comma delimited in single field (but I can change
that if I need to) - so how do I make those items display as
selected in list. I'm using asp and standard dreamweaver list based
on a recordset.There is a better approach. I faced a similar problem and put all the logic in a Javascript function. I modified my code to suit your needs.
My HTML will have the following.

I have added some static data into a drop down list box by key UI element using the procedure specified in value help tutorial.
Now i want to display the value selected in a dropdown list box on view whenever i select an item in a dropdown list box.

You want to display value based on the key selected in dropdown list. If you want to do like that
1) Create a context attribute for ex: key_value
2)In the properties of the attribute select the calculated as true.
3)It will create getter and setter methods for your attribute.
4)Go to implementation add the following code in getter method of your attribute

//KEY is your dropdown key attribute not the value attribute.

How to capture the selected values from module pool dialog list box !
Hi experts,
Can anyone help me out in capturing the values from the list box.
i am able to set the values in the list box.But i am not able to capture the selected value from the list box. Always the list box name is getting as "space"
I also tried in using the FM "VRM_GET_VALUES" but it is retireving all the values. Is there is any flag for filttering out the selected value.

How can I export multiple selections in a list box into a .csv file?
Hi all, I've created a form in Acrobat X with a list box enabled for multiple selections. When I try to export the filled out form into a .csv file, only the first selection shows up. Can anyone help me figure out how to get all selections to export? Thanks!

Once a recipient fills out the form (which has two questions with list boxes and multiple selection enabled) they send the completed form back to me. When I open the completed form, I am given the option add the completed form to a reponse file which was set up when I distributed the form. When I open the reponse file, it lists all of the responses in rows, and the values that were chosen in the form are arranged in columns. In this file, the list boxe columns have multiple values, separated by commas (which is what I'm looking for). At this point there is an option to export into a .csv file or an .xml file. If I choose the .csv file and open in excel, only the first selection shows in the list box column rather than all selections that were initially made by the responder. -

If it still doesn't work, check that the checkboxes have the same name as well as different values

Help Scripting for PDF Form List Box
I am attempting to write JavaScript for an Adobe Acrobat X Pro form. I would like to set an action script for a List Box titled "customer_name" so that when a specific customer name is selected, a corresponding text box titled "cutomer_number" will automatically fill with the correct number. I am not very familiar with JavaScript so any help would be greatly appreciated.
The easiest way to do this is to set the export value of each list box item to the corresponding customer number. The script for the custom number field could then simply be:
// Set this field's value to the export value of the selected item in the list box
event.value = getField("customer_name").valueAsString;
Post again if you don't want to set up the list box that way for some reason since there are other ways to deal with this. -

Filtering values in a dropdown list box

In the BSP application CRM_IC, we want a drop down list box to be filled based on the entry selected from another dropdown list box. We have all the entries for the second drop down box in ABAP internal table .However, we do not want a server round trip to happend in doing so. Thus we have used the attribute 'Onclientselect' and we are trying to call a java script function call on this event to filter this ABAP internal table . In this function, we would like to fill the contents of the second dropdown list box after reading the contents of the first dropdown list box. Please advice us as to how this can be achieved. Basically, we observed that ABAP server side script is not executed in the java function.

I have used the following technique to synchronize the
contents of two drop down list boxes.
<b>Scenario:</b>
The selection in listbox ddlbxSystemEquipNum, which I
will call "A", determines the contents of listbox
ddlbxModuleEquipNum, which I will call "B".
I use a JavaScript array to shadow the ABAP internal
table containing the possible values for listbox B.
When the page is initially displayed, listbox B is
populated from the ABAP internal table.
When a new selection is made in listbox A, I use the
onClientSelect event to call a JavaScript function,
updateModuleList(), to update the contents of listbox B
from the JavaScript shadow array based on the selected
value in listbox A.

EklavyaThere are 2 ways you could do this, I can think of. First, instead of using a select box for the second select box, you could use a textarea where the options from the first select box is transferred to. You would then access the values with request.getParameter("textareaName");.
Or, you could have javascript code to loop through all of the options in the second select box, and create a string (possibly delimited by a space) upon submitting the form. Before you submit the form with Javascript, you would set a hidden field in the form to the string that was created with Javascript, and access the string with request.getParameter("hiddenfieldName"); Hope this helps. -
2 cascading multiple dropdown list boxes that fill a form field in Infopath
I have a request to do this:
first field is a cascading list box is type of work (can select more than 1 type of work)( separate list)
then based on the choices above the
second cascading list box has the various people's names from the first list box (can select more than 1 person)(separate List )
then I need to from the second list box have a form field hold the various email addresses of all the people selected in the second list box.
how would I do a multiple tier cascade in Infopath form?those are good examples, but here is the thing the first two dropdowns can be more than 1 selection, could be 50 items selected.
and selection 2 dropdown doesnt lookup into selection 1. but they do have a related column.
