FDM fails to find valid Essbase member?

Currently using FDM 11.1.2.1 with adaptor into Essbase BSO cube. All mapping works fine except for one particular Essbase member - it is valid in the outline, but when browsing in FDM to add the mapping- the member account does not show up. I tried deleting the account ( it's a test cube - so I didn't really care about any data corruption) and re-adding it - FDM still can not find this account? Any one have any ideas?

1. Is the account a base member? If not have you set the "Browse for all members" flag on the adaptor settings?
2. Are you using the FDM dimension Cache? If so you would need to run the update script.

I'm running a java routine on a Windows 2000 workstation and trying to use JAAS to authenticate against a RedHat based kerberos server. When I do a login I get the following debug information:

In fact I'm using Tomcat on Windows 2000 and I try to get tickets for a Kerberos V installation on a Linux Box, using a Krb5LoginModule.
To do so , I would like to know how do you tell your windows box where to find the destination realm (in your case OPENROADSCONSULTING.COM) .
If it is in the jaas.config file , could you send yours to me please

While trying to create new mailbox, the following message is displayed:

If database is manually selected, there are no problems.

I've tested functionality with other admin-accounts and they have the same roles and same behavior. There have been no changes in roles or other Exchange settings as far as I know.

OBIEE 11g agents are failed to connect to Essbase

OBIEE 11g agents are failed to connect to Essbase. We are using :USER & :PASSWORD (SSO) in connection pool setting to connect to Essbase.
User account exists in both OBIEE and Essbase. OBIEE dashboards which are based on Essbase are working fine. Essbase variables in RPD are upto date.
Only agents are failing and error says invalid credentials, but dashboard pages are running without any issue.

Essbase and OBIEE services are up and running.
Any help will be appreciated.

We finally implemented CSS Token option and ended up with this error. We are unable to connect to essbase with CSS Token option.
We followed the Oracle document to implement this.
[nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: EPMCSS-00301: Failed to authenticate user. Invalid credentials. Enter valid credentials. (HY000)
We did update this property:

Problem with Java keystore and certificates (unable to find valid cert path

Our program is made so that when a certificate is not signed by a trusted Certification Authority, it will ask the user if he/her wishes to trust the certificate or not. If they decide to trust the certificate, it will accept the self signed certificate and import it into the keystore and then use that certificate to log the user in. This works fine. It will import the certificate into the keystore and use the specified ip address to establish a connection with the LDAP server (Active Directory in our case) and authenticate properly. However, the problem arises when we then try and connect to a different ip address (without restarting tomcat, if we restart tomcat, it works fine...). It imports the certificate into the keystore fine, but always gives the exception
"Root exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target"
and does not authenticate with our LDAP server (which is Active Directory). The problem seems to be that it is no longer looking at the System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore", myTrustStore);
I have tried multiple times to just reset this property and try and "force" it to read from my specified trust file when this error happens. I have also imported the certificates directly into the <java_home>/jre/lib/security/cacerts and <java_home>/jre/lib/security/jssecacerts directories as the java documentation says that it will look at those directories first to see if it can find a trusted certificate. However, this does not work either. The only way that I can get this to work is by restarting tomcat all together.
If both of the certificates are already in the keystore before tomcat is started up, everything will work perfect. Again, the only problem is after first connecting to an IP address using TLS and importing the certificate, and then trying to connect to another IP address with a different certificate and import it into the keystore.
One of the interesting features of this is that after the second IP address has failed, I can change the IP address back to the first one that authenticated successfully and authenticate successfully again (ie
I use ip 1.1.1.1, import self signed certificate, authenticates successfully
login with ip 2.2.2.2 import self signed certificate, FAILS
login again with 1.1.1.1 (doesn't import certificate because it is already in keystore) successfully authenticates
Also, I am using java 1.5.0_03.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I've been trying to figure this out for over a week now.

When I made a simple test (jsp) page on my local computer all works fine (jdeveloper 10g) ..
When I deploy the ear file to remote oc4j and run the test page I get the error:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
My test page is just simple jsp page with some system parameters like this:

All paths to my certificare and truststore are correct.
On my local pc (windows) there is a Jdeveloper Oc4j version (10.1.2.0.2) and works fine
On linux there is a oc4j version 10.1.3.4.0 and doesn't work..

Apparently the linux jdk/jre doesn't have the ability to validate the certificate being used.

I am getting the ssl error when trying to use launchpad on ssl, i can access adminui through ssl with no errors but launchpad says "unable to find valid certification path to requested target"

Hi I desperately need help to fix this error. I installed Adobe LCES4 with ssl enabled and i can access the adminui and workspace on the browser but he problem is when i try connecting to launchpad using https on the server even doing the simple thing like converting document to pdf throws the following error.

We tried adding certificate in trustore.jks file, but it was not successful.
What error you are getting while importing the certificate?
Just perform below steps once:
Download required certificate first
Run CMD as administrator> move to SUP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\Repository\Security
Paste this syntex.
keytool -importcert -alias customerCA -file <certificatefilename>.crt -storepass changeit -keystore truststore.jks -trustcacerts

ReportDocument.Load Exception: Failed to find Report Applicatication Server

I am using ReportDocument.Load(InfoObject infoObject, EnterpriseSession enterpriseSession) to load from an InfoObjects retrieved using InfoStore.Query. Though the query returns a valid report (the InfoObjects object is populated), I continue to get the following exception:
Exception Message = "Load report failed."
InnerException Type = System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException
InnerException Message = "Failed to find an available Report Application Server."
According to [this thread|Failed to find an available Report Application Server;, I need to check CCM to make sure the Report Application Server is running. It does not show up in my CCM, but in CMC it is running and enabled. I also verified that the Guest account is enabled and has permissions to the reports folder and RAS.
Is there a way to test (with code) that my RAS is running and accessible? The code I am running is located on a different machine than the BOE server.
My purpose in attempting this is to export a report to disk using ReportDocument.ExportToDisk.

Failed to find any Kerberos Key

Hi All,
I've all ready done all the steps in note 994791 (SPNego Wizard) for SSO configuration between Portal and ADS. After finishing the configuration I checked the login and still appears the authentification login page. I have checked Defaultrace log and it shows the following:
Cannot initializa login module [EXCEPTION]
com.sap.security.core.server.jaas.SPNgoLoginModule#java.lang.RuntimeException: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Failed to find any Kerberos Key)
......... etc.
I have no clue what may go wrong and what I can check for fixing this issue. I did some notes like: Note 1130190 - SPNego fails with "Failed to find any Kerberos Key" and the configuration looks OK. What Could I do or check for this problem??? any help will be rewarded.

Unable to find valid certification path after an upgrade from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7

I had a small composite deployed in 11.1.1.6 and after an upgrade to 11.1.1.7 I am getting
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException:
PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Does it mean that my soa composite now cannot validate the certificate of the server it is trying to connect to?
Can somebody share thoughts on how to fix it?

Thank you much for the quick response. Not having big knowledge under my belt in this area I tried
1. Changed the keystore passphrase under my managed weblogic domain for the Demo Identity Keystore
2. ./keytool -importcert -alias avsclient -keystore /dnat8o/fmw/jrockit-jdk1.6.0_29-R28.2.2-4.1.0/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file client_cer.cer
Was prompted with the password but entering what I did enter in step 1 didn't help. Do I have to bounce the managed server once I change the passphrase, if what I a mdoing makes sense at all, not sure

Beryl fails to find "clearlooks"

I installed Beryl according to the wiki instructions.
Everything worked perfect.
After a while, I don't quite know why, when I try to start beryl, I get:

same problem here. the only answer i can find is....spotlight buh-lows. does anyone know if we can just revert to ye olden way of searching? simple things like: searching actually find the stuff you're searching for. and: list of items found arrangeable by date/alphabetically (just like any normal window in osx). also, is hitting apple-f essentially just bringing up spotlight in its own window, or does this search function differ at all? sorry to hijack the thread, but we suffer from the same problems. thank you!

"Boot Manager failed to find OS loader" - Windows XP

Hello, I'm new in this community.
That being said, I have a problem with my Thinkpad SL410. Two nights ago I shut down my laptop. It was working fine at that point. I clicked on shut down, but I think it went to "update and shut down". BAD idea, since now, its stuck on a loop.
When I try and boot up the laptop, it only brings me to R&R4. Then, after it scans and tries to "fix" the problem, it gives me a message. Unfortunately, the message is in chinese since I bought this laptop in china, so with my rough translation skills, I was able to determine that "Boot Manager failed to find OS loader".
You would think that that would be easy to fix. I go grab a windows recovery ISO, and put it onto my bootable USB. Problem is, R&R is almost getting in the way of recovery console. When I boot from the usb, there is a black screen with the message "To boot rescue and recovery environment, press f11". I have tried to press f11 and I have tried to wait, but no matter what, it takes me to the thinkvantage rescue and recovery, as opposed to the windows console.
Essentially, I cannot access the console to type in:
-fixboot
-fixmbr
I have painstakingly translated much of the R&R page (The one that gives you 3 options; restore, backup, reset to factory settings). I don't think there is a way to get to recovery console via that rescue and recovery page. So I do what is most logical. I try and restore to a backup. Technology doesn't seem to like me because after waiting for 30 mins, its at 93% done and there is a message saying something along the lines of "C: doesnt have enough space".
Great. What other options do I have? I know the hard drive isn't corrupted and my files are still there, since going into "backup" shows me all the files (pictures, documents, etc...). I can't back them all up and factory reset since not only would it take forever, but it would take up wayy too many gigs of space, and I simply can't get my hands on a massive storage system atm.
This is very frustrating since I only started using this computer after my dell laptop had a hard drive failure. It's a pain trying to get through dell support, only to have my situation a whole lot more complicated since it was a gift from china, and already registered to someone. Then a perfectly good working computer fails on me again, and this time I can't analyze the problem correctly since the computer is in chinese.
TL;DR
"Boot manager failed to find OS loader error. When I try booting from Windows XP ISO, R&R gets in the way. I also can't do a restore to backup since my C drive apparently doesn't have enough space.

I can't promise, but something which has worked for me in similar situations is explained in the following KB article. Basically you would be doing the same as running a system restore to a previous point under Windows

Open Registry Editor.
In Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
Create the following value (REG_SZ): Working Directory and give it a value that points to the new database folder.
Make sure you back up the registry before you do any changes on it.
