Feature Comparison: LiveCycle vs. FormsCentral

I would very much appreciate being able to see a feature comparison between LiveCycle and FormsCentral. I get the basics of the differences, but I need to know much more specifically what I can and can't do in each product. And right now the most interesting feature to me is creating form fields that resize automatically as text is entered and will even span page boundaries.
Thank you!

FormsCentral is more about hosting forms and collecting submitted data than form creation, whereas LiveCycle Designer is all about form creation. The FormsCentral designer is rather limited when it comes to layout and form behavior. No scripting or automatic calculations are allowed, just skip logic. A PDF form generated from a form designed with FormsCentral is similar, but skip logic isn't supported. With Designer you have complete control over the behavior of a form, can use scripting, and it can do what you want with expanding fields.

Where can I see a full feature comparison of Nokia handsets? The Nokia website used be great for this, but now they've "upgraded" to a useless blue blob and the comparison engine has been reduced to "Smarrtphone or non-smartphone" and "Qwerty or touch", but the full feature comparison that used to be there has gone.
    Thanks for any help.

  • LiveCycle to FormsCentral?

Can I edit a form I have created in Adobe LiveCycle without recreating it. We have created a lot of internal fillable forms and title pages for our consultants to use.

    Hi;
The "Import PDF" feature does not enable you to edit the PDF form you import, it allows you to collect and manage/analyze the responses in FormsCentral on the View Responses tab.
These FAQ's might be useful related to the Import PDF feature:

  • Shopping Cart Type Feature in LiveCycle

Is it possible to create a catalog in Adobe LiveCycle where the user can select an item by clicking a check box then it will add the name of that item to another form listing what they selected? Kind of like a shopping cart feature.

    Hi,
Yes this report is reading the PO quantity and value and the history tab for follow-on documents such as GR or invoice.
Thus the SC history is updated.

  • BO Edge Platform/Features Comparison

I am new to BO>  Our company has just purchased BusinessObjects Edge 3 Standard and I am unsure which platform, Linux or Windows I should install on.
Can someone tell what features Linux version have/doesn't have  and Windows have/doesn't have.  Also, which platform works better, for instance, installation, problems, support, performance, etc.

    Hi,
if you uninstall BOE 3.0 your tomcat deployment gets lost and also your DS Webapps.
    Following ideas:
    1. Disable all BOE 3.0 Services except Tomcat. The binaries will last on the HDD but the Services wont require and more RAM. If you have enough Disc Space, this wont be a problem.
    2. Uninstall BOE 3.0 with Tomcat. Re- run the DS 3.0 Setup and chosse only to install the Tomcat and deploy the webapps.
About Metadata Integrator i have to pass, not quite sure. Isnt that a stand alone installation with also a WebApps and a own Repository?

  • Windows 10 Editions - Feature Comparison and Differences

and Bitlocker is included with the Pro edition like it was with Windows 8 (but not Win7).
This alone will probably drive us upgrading, very glad to see it didn't change.
The only thing in Enterprise I'd like to see in Pro would be AppLocker.  I don't really care about the others, but this SRP fan would love to see what AppLocker can do.

Windows 10 Features have been widely covered by tech websites, whether we're talking about highly anticipatedadditions like Cortana, Microsoft Hello, the Edge browser, and virtual desktops (which will each be available across all Windows 10 editions). But up to this point, not much has been said about the differences between Windows 10editions and what features are included. Luckily, Microsoft has now released a full matrix comparing Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions @http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/Compare. Of note: Only Windows 10 Enterprise editions will be able to take advantage ofthe Long Term Servicing Branch style updates, but the Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions will be able to use Windows Update for Business. Also, features like AppLocker, BranchCache, Direct Access, Credential...

  • Is there an IE 8 to FF 4 feature comparison guide?

    Hi.
As an IE 8 user, I am mystified as how come Mozilla does not have a transition guide for IE people like me who wish to defect to FF 4.
I need to know the feature for feature Q & A pitting each broswer against the other.
Either FF 4 is not as sophisticated as IE 8 or is so sophisticated that most of the features are hidden somewhere.
    Am I the only one?
example: IE 8 has "Accelerators" - what is the similar or exact funtion in FF 4?

  • LiveCycle Form - Extend Features to Reader to allow save

I created a PDF form in LiveCycle Designer ES2.  I want to allow users to update form and save, but I can't figure out how to extend these features in LiveCycle.  I can open the PDF form in Acrobat X Pro, but when I attempt to edit I'm forced to use LiveCycle Designer.  There is no option to edit in Acrobat X Pro.

If you use this feature on a web site or for many users, be sure to read the license restrictions (they start at about 500 uses of the form).

  • Please add a signature feature to FormsCentral!!!

Why can't you add a signature to a FormsCentral form?  Better yet, when will this feature be added? FormsCentral is such a great tool and my clients love it, but they want to be able to add signatures to their forms.  Is there any other Adobe tool that will created a form that will accept a signature and be able to be embedded into a website?

  • FormsCentral + LiveCycle

Hey guys, I know FormsCentral doesn't support any math functions during the creation of the form itself, so I'm wondering if it's possible to create a form in LiveCycle (with math functions such as a line that totals numbers in previous lines) and then upload it to FormsCentral to be distributed and analyzed?

    HI Andrew and Adobe Staff,
My experience...thus far...with FormsCentral and Adobe is that they are not compatible.
To Andrew: I feel your pain. I have used LiveCycle to make lots of great forms. You can't beat it. It is the best and smartest tool out there. One of a kind. JavaScript and all kinds of logic and math and cool things. Great editing and devlopment environment. And so of course...you would want to use something like that on FormsCentral. I totally get your question. But...I "think" that LiveCycle plus FormsCentral equals Impossible.
To Adobe: It is time for you to get better in your whole set of "forms" technology. As I see it, you offer three mismatched possibilities:
Web Forms in FormsCentral: This is easy and gorgeous and has all the advantages of FormsCentral...But...no math and not much in the way of logic either. Just your basic "fill in the blanks and aggregate the results" experience.
PDF (AcroForms) in FormsCentral: Labor intense. Starts with Word...then Acrobat for the fields and some logic...then upload to FormsCentral. Not as pretty as the Web Forms mentioned above. JavaScript is available in AcroForms, but it is not nearly as easy or powerful as LiveCycle.
LiveCycle in FormsCentral: Not possible, but it should be. FormsCentral is the perfect aggregator and forms deployment vehicle. LiveCycle is the perfect forms development platform. Put the two together and life would really be sweet.
    Thanks all,
    Joe

  • BlazeDS feature question!

hi, i have a bit of a friendly bet going with my manager. He insists that BlazeDS offers such features as:
    1-paging
2-data synchronization (specifically, live updates of underlying database in Flex components)
he  insists that because Flash Builder facilitates linking data services in  the GUI that this must mean it is through BlazeDS, not LiveCycle  Services, since the latter costs money. I think that these services are  ONLY offered through LiveCycle.
Can anyone prove this  DEFINITIVELY either way? Any good pages to show me either way? I showed  him the feature comparison chart, but he doesn't seem to think that is  definitive.
Help me win this bet! i'm SURE i'm right!

Just in case anyone is still looking for an answer to this issue, I just ran into the same problem.  During my investigation, I learned that BlazeDS serialization is expecting only String key values for Map objects.   Since the Map coming in has Integer keys, the key is changed to a string by the serialization.  At that point, the value cannot be obtained and serialized.  Change the Integer key to a String and it works.  Here is the site that helped me get it working.
