Feedback needed on WNA

Hi I am trying to enable WNA and have some questions as I went over the document http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oid/oidhtml/sec_idm_training/html_masters/basics02.htm
1. Is SSO Server Oracle App. Server. How do I find out FQDN of SSO Server
2. When setting ORACLE_HOME is it going to point to Infrastructure or MidTier
3. In the doc. it syas "It is necessary to create a user account in the AD server with the same host name where your SSO server is running" Now is this account different than the one we use for AD-OID sync or the same account can be used.
4. In krb5.conf file kdc = dude.us.oracle.com:88 is the Kerberos server port the same for AD port number. How do i find out the port number
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Can you please tell me what are following options in the ktpass command and are these required
to generate keytab file as I didn't see in the documentation and OBE, can I ignore them or are these required.
+desonly
-mapOp set
-crypto des-cbc-md5
ktpass -princ HTTP/[email protected] -pass <PASSWORD> +desonly -mapuser prdbx2 -mapOp set -out mysso.keytab -crypto des-cbc-md5
Also currently my krb5.conf looks like:
[logging]
default = FILE:/var/log/krb5libs.log
kdc = FILE:/var/log/krb5kdc.log
admin_server = FILE:/var/log/kadmind.log
[libdefaults]
default_realm = IIDEV.COM #IIDEV.COM is the default AD Realm
[realms]
IIDEV.COM = {
kdc = prdgem03.iidev.com:88 #FQDN of the AD server
[domain_realm]
.iidev.com = IIDEV.COM
iidev.com = IIDEV.COM
[kdc]
profile = /var/kerberos/krb5kdc/kdc.conf
[appdefaults]
pam = {
debug = false
ticket_lifetime = 38000
renew_lifetime = 38000
forwardable = true
krb4_convert = false
Just wanted to make sure if the above file is correct. Is there anything else I need to place in the file Your feedback is appreciated.
Thanks

  • Business Catalyst Documentation - Help & Feedback needed

    Hi everyone,
    We are currently working on a project to improve the BC documentation. In order to better plan our efforts, we need your feedback on what you consider to be the most important to work on.
    Moreover, from several discussions with Partners we have understood that there are a lot of members of our community who would like to contribute to our documentation, so we'd like to involve you in our project and work together to get our help resources better and better. Your support on this would be very much appreciated.
    Please fill in this survey to give us feedback and let us know if you'd like to contribute to our content.
    Also, if you want to help out, don't forget to fill in your email address, so we can get back to you and align on what each of us should do.
    We're looking forward to receiving your feedback and work on improving our help resources.
    Thank you all for the help.
    Vlad

    Hi Everyone,
    I agree with you that at times our documentation is not at all proper, and unfortunately sometimes is incomplete and even wrong. We do have a plan though to get back on track.
    Unfortunately up until one month ago the documentation and documentation search were not on our priority list as high as they should have been, and it's myself I have to blame for it.
    Since then we have been working a lot on the customized search engine that we are using in our Help & Support page. We have worked on refinements, synonims , auto-completions, promotions (so the top searches would have automatical article suggestions), and we have thoroughly refined the pool of documentation it searches into, so the results are more relevant (for example, one month ago if you searched for webapps you would have got 0 results, while at other times depending on what you were searching, results for other Adobe products were showing up).
    I can say we have pushed our CSE implementation to some limits (we even have some cases with Google for various limitations), and we will continue to work on it until we'll be happy with how it works (as much as the mysterious ways of Google allow), as right now there are still gaps to be covered (as you very well pointed out).
    On the documentation front we have a revamp plan that we've crafted based on the feedback we received from the community. We would work on:
    1) Reviewing and updating the current documentation, in order to make sure it's complete, up to date, and is correct. - this is on the top of our priority list, and I expect it to be done in the next few months.
    2) Based on what we and the community would prioritize, we'll work on developing "How to's" in order to answer specific needs and to make sure partners have adequate help resources for their daily work
    3) We will work on tutorials that would get partners started and successful as quickly as possible
    4) Other self-help projects that we are currently developing and that we'll make publicly available as we have them ready, along with the "In product help" we just rolled out.
    In conclusion, I want to reassure you that we are aware of the gaps we have, and also know just how important it is to get back on track. We already started investing in this, and I hope to be able to show more results of our efforts soon.
    Happy Holidays and thanks again for your feedback and committment.

  • [Feedback Needed] Filtering your Playlists

    Hey everyone, Spotify staff here.
    We're happy to announce the ability to filter your playlists will return in the 1.0.6 update for Desktop. We're also giving two different versions of this feature to users--and we'd love to hear what you think.
    Ctrl+F/ Cmd+F
    Some users will only see a filter bar when they select a track in the playlist and then click Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac). This bar will appear at the top of the playlist (please note it won't be stickied at the top when you scroll down).
    Static filter bar
    The other users will see a filter bar that remains at the top of each playlist at all times (stickied at the top). No need to click Ctrl+F/ Cmd+F.
    Our teams here at Spotify headquarters want to know what you think about the filtering option you're given. We're actively reading your feedback and comments here in the Community, and we want you to know we're listening.
    You can post your feedback here in this thread. If you have a different feature idea you can post it in our active Idea Exchange.
    When we have further updates about filtering 'Songs' and 'Artist Pages' we'll let you know. Thanks everyone!

    "Ctrl+F/ Cmd+F: Some users will only see a filter bar when they select a track in the playlist and then click Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac). This bar will appear at the top of the playlist (please note it won't be stickied at the top when you scroll down)."Okay, why would I have to select a track when I've already selected the playlist I want to filter? This seems like a dumb limitation and will hinder user experience.  "Static filter bar: The other users will see a filter bar that remains at the top of each playlist at all times (stickied at the top). No need to click Ctrl+F/ Cmd+F."This sounds like a good solution to new and current users alike, but this will have to be activated via the Ctrl/Cmd-F combination, in addition to mouse/touch input (and accessible without having to select a track prior to using it).  The return of this function should be universal wherever there's a list of songs. Please don't do a half-assed version of this.

  • User Interfaces of video editing software, feedback needed

    Hallo,
    my name is Wolfgang, I'm a student at OvG-University in Magdeburg, Germany. Me and my team are researching user interfaces of video editing software.
    As a part of this, we created a small online survey [1], mainly targeted at professional cutters (amateurs are welcome too, though). It is pretty basic for now and shouldn't cost you much of your time.
    Please consider participating in it as it would provide us with valuable data needed for our research.
    I found no indication in the terms of Use that posting a non-commercial survey is prohibited. Still, if this message is considered spam, please excuse my mistake.

  • Problem with viewing web site- feedback needed

    I have a friend who had his site redesigned and integrated with Paypal recently.
    He is a Windows user and I am a Mac user.
    For some reason I am unable to view the blue Buy Now buttons on his site and if i keep trying long enough the browser will suddenly tell me that the site server cannot be found.
    I was told by paypal that it was a cookie problem but i completly cleared out everything and it still does not work.
    I have tried both IE and Firefox. IE will work for me sometimes, but once the problem begin happening in Firefox then IE stops working also.
    I have also tried using my PC and if i use it before the Mac, i can see it fine but if the Mac starts messing things up i will no longer be able to view it on my PC. I called a friend while having this problem and he said he could see it fine on his PC (not Mac).
    I am beginning to think that it is a wireless network problem since i have tried everything else i can think of.
    Could some of you please view this page and just let me know if you have any problem seeing the two top Buy Now buttons?
    Please also let me know what browsers you used...
    The BUY NOW buttons in question should be just below the Download buttons...
    Please give me some feedback. This will help me decide if it is a local issue or not.
    URL for the page is:
    http://www.butlerofficepro.com/products.html
    Thanks, this would be a great help to my diagnosis 8-)

    Works fine here in Safari.
    I think you have a Router problem, or a Modem with a Broadcom Chipset in it.

  • Testing and feedback needed for project

    here
    http://www.armoredlegion.com
    we're looking for feedback and suggestions for our game
    armored legion
    we've been working on it for about 4 months (minus a big

    procedurally generated (props and more distinguishing faetures are

    made a few minutes to throw in a quick shadow, just for you :)
    As for lightmaps, although they're trivial to add, I haven't
    for a couple of reasons. First off, the DCR is already getting a
    little large and there are so many other things that would offer
    more bang for the buck. Secondly, I don't really think they're all
    that necessary for these landscapes. I can't imagine much benefit
    to lightmapping some hills. If I were to add some buildings, some
    ruins, etc... then its an area to revisit.
    To tyree_2: The combat was a design choice, real-time
    wouldn't have taken any longer to implement. I grew up on games
    like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and similar games, so I wanted
    to bring back that style of combat in this one. In time more
    options, as well as group combat, etc... will be added.
    To Nanomedia: I'm not quite sure what you mean by that?
    Unless you had an existing account, you should have been taken
    through a tutorial and given a chance at combat right away.

  • IDS 5.0 production install feedback needed

    We plan to run iDS 5.0 in prod mode sometime this fall. I was curious to
    know of customers who are already running the product in production
    today. Even a one liner feedback would be appreciated!
    LP

    I suppose that the answer is that it is not a simple task and it depends on the kind of cluster you want to deploy.
    I suggest that you carefully read the documentation of Sun Cluster and specifically the Directory Server specific parts.
    The way to do it is different with Sun Cluster 2 and Sun Cluster 3.0....
    Or you can request help from Sun Professional Services...
    Regards,

  • Prepurchase considerations - feedback needed

    I apologize for leaving this question here but I could not find a more suitable discussion area.
    I am 99% sure I will be buying an iMac 2.0GHz machine to add to my arsenal of macs but would like a few questions answered before I commit.
    I may run parallels but that would not be my main reason for purchasing an iMac but I will most definitely continue to use non intel applications as developers continue the transition. Should I get the 2GB option? Apple charges an impressive amount for their RAM, any ideas why?
    Secondly, should I get the extended Apple Care Warranty - I see a few doom and gloom posts here and want the extra security…is it called for?
    In the recent past I have read of issues arising with other macintosh computers, namely the macbook and macbookpro lines. Are there any issues particular to the intel iMacs?
    I appreciate the time you have taken to read this and am equally grateful for your comments,, remarks, testimonials etcetera.

    Hello,
    Thank you both for two excellent answers, you were
    both very concise and enthusiastic.
    You are quite welcome
    Is the CPU emanating noise bearable and are fixes
    expected anytime soon?
    I haven't heard many users complaining about the CPU noises on the iMacs.
    But, the MacBook and MacBook Pro discussions are filled with them.
    As for whether it is tolerable, it is to some. I've heard it on the display models of the MacBook Pro at the store, and I wouldn't put up with it.
    I haven't heard it on the iMac CoreDuo. But, I haven't spent a ton of time around those.
    On the MacBook Pro, it was immediately noticeable upon walking past it.
    The complaint stems from noise generated when the Intel CPU is not fully loaded. By this, I mean when only one of the two processor cores is being taxed.
    Apparently, this is a common issue among all the various computers (even PC's) that use the CoreDuo processor.
    Several users have found that the simple act of loading a particular program will silence the noise. The idea is that the other program occupies the second CPU core.
    Additionally, they have found that disabling the second core when it is not in use will silence the noise.
    Apparently, the PC's running Windows do not exhibit this symptom as much because their method of power management is more aggressive. Basically, Windows will throttle the CPU down, and disable the second core any time it is not needed. In Mac OS X, it will throttle the CPU down some (but not as far as Windows), and will leave the second core active even if it is not needed.
    The power management features of Windows are significantly more capable, and will permit much greater customization (I've tinkered with them a lot).
    Many users have reported that they have observed that the noise is gone when they boot their MacBook and MacBook Pro into Windows XP.
    So, that would indicate that Apple should be able to fix this by tweaking it's power management features in OS X.
    As for a fix, Apple is not acknowledging this as a problem. So, any talk of a fix is purely speculation. Until they acknowledge the problem, there is no way to guess what action they might take.
    At this point, it would appear that they intend to ignore it.
    But, it does appear as though the iMac may mask this sound better. Since people here are not complaining about it so much.
    You can jump into any of the MacBook and MacBook Pro forums to read more on this. The number of links and complaints would be too great to link to here.
    Just look for topics that include have subjects about "the whine".
    On the topic of software, could you provide some
    examples of specific quirks experienced on the Intel
    side of OSX?
    Aside from Rosetta, the kind of issues I was talking about were mostly bugs and tweaks that Apple has been finding and working out. Here's a sample list:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303701
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303694
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303787
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303059
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303748
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303176
    Sure, there is the Rosetta layer, and
    that can be a pile of sand all its' own but otherwise
    perhaps?
    Yes, Rosetta has it's own issues. But, most of those are related to the considerable amount of memory it requires for the applications running under Rosetta.
    Hope this helps to clarify.

  • Feedback needed--Mighty Mouse?

    Hello. I'm thinking of purchasing a Mighty Mouse, but I have a questions. I currently use the BT Mouse/Keyboard. I know the MM is not bluetooth(yet), but I am willing to use it via usb, but I still want to use my BT Keyboard. My point is: I know the wiered mouse that came w/ my mac had a very short cord, mainly for pluging it into the USB port on my keyboard. Does anyone have the mouse yet and know how long the cord to the MM is? Will I be able to plug it into my iMac directly or will I have to dig the wired keyboard out of the closet? Thanks in advance!
    Daniel

    I don't know about those that hates the Mighty Mouse, but I am loving mine every minute! Ever since I got it my left hand is taking on a long vacation, no longer I need to click and hold "Option" or "Command" key with my left fingers!! All I need to do is a Right Click, and Scroll, wow, scroll man with my middle right hand fingers... "Look Ma, One Hand!"
    Yes but on the other hand I have to "sacrafice" my Wireless Mouse and keep it in "storage"... still not very use to the dangling cord after going Bluetooth for so long...
    I think the cord length is about the same as the Pro Mouse, if you plug it directly behind the iMac G5 on a desk, you still have plenty of cord length to pull around, I still keep my wireless keyboard, that's why I didn't plug it into a keyboard, call me a neat freak but I can't reallt stand looking at one or two cords coming out of the keyboard and then go pass through the iMac's metallic stand, it is just "messy"... hee hee hee
    Anyway, just like when the Pro Mouse first debut then later the wireless counter part, I am sure a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse is on its way...
    Cheers

  • Some feedback needed on the 15'' 2.0Ghz i7 quad-core model

    I am a developer (mostly on mobile (Android, iOS)) and I am considering
    buying one of the 15'' macbook pro models but I face a problem on choosing which one. Taking into consideration that it's a little hard for me to pay the 2.2Ghz i7 model at the time I'd really appreciate your opinion on the the "2.0Ghz i7 quad-256mb gpu" model. Will I have any delays/issues running the SDK and several emulators (iphone-ipad) that may be using hardware acceleration? Also, will I have any delays during playback of hi-res videos, video editing, or image editing software (photoshop, illustrator)?
    I certainly don't need it for gaming but I really want to know what's the expected performance on the applications mentioned using the 2.0GHz-AMD Radeon HD 6490M- 256MB GDDR5 model.
    I'd really appreciate any advice!

  • Direct Dispute letter feedback needed!

    So I drafted my very first DD letter to Calvary Portfolio. They are reporting a wrong DOFD. My last payment to the OC was 10/2008 and they're reporting a DOFD of 6/2009. I've already contacted the OC and they no longer have any information of my account except the charge off date and the CA. The OC took a REALLY long time (12 months!) to charge off the account and I think the CA just made up their own DOFD by counting back 6 months from the CO date. EQ reports (if direct from them or annualcreditreport.com) will show the actual DoFD as reported by them. That DoFD should have been provided to the CA along with the other account information. Legally the collector must use the OC's DoFD, if they can determine what it was. A report showing it would be adequate proof.

    I love this phone
    Model: N-73 standard edition + 2GB card.
    I have it for like 3 weeks, and enjoy it very much. All the possibility's that the Symbian system is giving are great.
    When i was baying it i have some doubts about taking 2GB or 1Gb, and the staff in different stores told me that it is not a good idea to by 2Gb for the basic model, but i ignore them, and now i am happy
    The biggest problems for me are coming with the third party software, because i see that it is much better to install the programs that i use all the time on the phone, not on the memory card. For example FSCaller witch will occasionally stop working because it is installed on the memory card. I guess that this may be a problem because i use the 2 Gb card, but it is not so hard to install the programs that run all the time on the phone.
    Also i had few crashes because i had set my SMS mesiges to come directly to the memory card, but that was fixed with changing them to come to the phone memory. Hope that this will be fixed soon
    Afcorse because the Symbian system is alitle bit like windows crashes from time to time are something normal
    Other problem is that the cameras (especially the 3G one) will not work very good in darker rooms for example
    No WiFi - why Nokia, why!!!!!!! I know that i can't have everything in the world, but no WiFi
    No GPS resiving sistem - i am going to by a blootood GPS resiver in order to fix this
    No meter that it has few problems it is a really good phone with tones of options

  • Parallels vs VMWare Feedback needed

    Hi,
    I have read many posts regarding parallels as well as VMWare. My trial key is about to expire in 5 days and I would like to decide whether to use Parallels or wait for the new VMWare version coming out.
    Based on your personal experience I would like to know which is more stable, faster, etc.
    Thanks in advanced.

    I was going to use Bootcamp, but felt parallels was a better option for me, although you can run parallels on bootcamp partition.
    Parallels just got better, on 2-5-07, upgrade was available. I downloaded and it installs over the original copy and it has some great improvements. I don't use xp often and it was just easier to have xp a click away, instead of a reboot!
    Enjoy!
