Fetch part of the data in an announcement posting for summary display
I have a request from user to extract a paragraph of content from announcement web part and to display the content to another page.
The query of the extraction is to extract the annoucement that is posted for day. Once the summary is generated, an email will be sent out to users with the extracted data.
How can i have part of the content of each announcement extracted using c# in visual studio 2013?
May be you can plan to extract all the data from list and then filter the content you are looking for

You have several options both of which are going to require further research on your part they are:
Use the SharePoint object model (Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll), you must be on a PC within the SharePoint farm.
Use the SharePoint web services which can be found at SiteURL/_vti_bin/ you might want to start with Lists.asmx and work from there.
You are going to need some further research as I have said, but remember GIYF.

I had created a report program which will download the data to an Excel sheet using SAP OLE object
For this report i had created a tcode too. The report which i developed is perfectly working fine in SAPGUI. But if i download the data to an Excel sheet for the same report throught SAP EP.I am getting the error that "Error in excel downlaod"
I analyed by putting dubigg point and it throws exception while calling Function module.
The excpetion is " OLE object id not found".
Can any body gives a light on this why i'm not able download the excel in ep?

(by the way I came here to ask my question and is my first time visit but...)
The problem is obvious: How do you expect OLE handler can "touch" the local PC Excel through a web browser? I believe that is not possible. That means (at least for me) that I have to create the whole documents before I return them to the user. That is why I use XML Office documents generation or you can try to hack some Export to excel features of ERP reports.

When opening a form in SharePoint 12013 that was created from Infopath 2013, I get the following error.
You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.
An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.
Log ID:5566
When I go to the log files on the SharePoint server. I see the following error.
Exception Message: The form cannot connect to the data source. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'
I am guessing this has something to do with the UDCX connection and the database.

Please check the following kb article when it occurs 5566errro with the UDCX conection file, try the method of using the Secure Store Service to store alternate credentials for the data connection method, or the method of stating the credentials
in the UDC file explicitly.
Also check if it could help with setting sql server as "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode".

If the data network is not available for some time, to get it again we need to restart the phone instead it is not finding the data network instantly. why cant the iphone searches data net work offten if not available. i am totally disappointed with this!
Still it could not find the data network.it searches for voice network instantly and works too. but even full voice network available, there is no data network.when i restart the phone it could find data network.

How to fetch,update,insert the data using database link on diff. servers
I am using two oracle server.
1st) Oracle 9i ( Server1 )
2nd) Oracle 10g ( Server2 )
3) Forms 6i
I have created a database link on Server 1 for connecting to Server 2.
I written a piece of code which will be executed in Forms 6i and is connected to Server1.
The piece of code brings the data from SErver2 via cursor and I try to insert / update the relevant records
in my Server1 database users.
The Insert/Update runs sucessfully but at the time of commit I get the following errors
in Forms ORA-01041:internal error. hostdef does not exist.
Then it forcefully rollback the data and come out of the application.

Start by testing a simple "select sysdate from dual@<database link>;" then test select from application_table@<database link> then test the insert/update code. After it works from sqlplus, then try it from forms. -
Viewing and Removing the Time part of the Date field
Hi,
I have Date field in a table.
but in SQL plus when I do
select date from table
this gives me only the Date values and not the timestamps in the date.
I believe Oracle stores 'Date' and 'Time' in fields with Data Type 'Date'.
How do I print the timestamps also in the SQL query?
Moreover, if I have to extract the date field, reset the timestamp to 00:00:00, and store back the date field (with 00 time), how do I do that?

If you want to retry date and time you can:
SELECT TO_CHAR(DATE,'YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS') FROM TABLE;
If you want truncate time when inserting in a table simply use TRUNC function
INSERT INTO TABLE (DATE) VALUES (TRUNC(YOUR_DATE));
To extract and insert with time 00:00:00
INSERT INTO TABLE1 (SELECT TRUNC(DATE) FROM TABLE2);

Parts of the Data went missing when linking two data sets
Hello Everyone!
I have two data sets for my report:
1. an essbase cube which is transformed to a relational star shema transformed by BI Administraion, Im calling the cube with sql (not mdx)
2. a single relational table
In the report Im iterating on the 'product' dimension of the cube and I need to join the cube with the single relational table, because that table holds all the detailed information on each product (mostly text therefore it is not in the cube).
What I did was, joined the two data sets with a Master/Detail link. So far so good. But the thing is, more than half of my data goes missing in the xml-Output when I join those too. If I delete the join, all the data is back again in the xml-ouptut but I cant refer to the details of the relational table.
I tried different things to fix that problem. So I sorted the 1. dataset and joined it again with the 2. dataset. As a result there was still a lot of data missing, but not the same as before.
I find this behaviour really strange and don't have a clue what to do differently.
I would really appreciate some help, because I already spent hours trying to fix that problem.

Problem is every time I try and do this the system does not recognise my <?for-each> containing the parameter and says the parameter is not defined. WHen I validate the template it seems to ignore the F completely and complains about to many ends.
I just can't see why it does not work. I am using four records, 2 of each set I am using which link over item number. I can show them seperately but as soon as I add the variable loop ( <?for-each:/INV_GL/GL[GLLITM= $ITM]?> where ITM is my variable and GLITM is that field in the data) it stops working. -
When I synced the new phone, it gave me the icons for all the Apps but when I went to get on one it said I had never been there, the syc/restore did not give me all the data. I got pictures, but everything else is as if I just started. HELP

How to change the posting date in UD stock posting for a HU managed item?
Hi,
We are using Handling Unit managed items with QM activation. For a specific HU managed material, we wanted to post the stock on a previous date. We have created PO on a back date and made GR also on a back date. Now the problem is, the system has generated an inspection lot. Now while trying to do UD and stock posting, I do not see the "Doc" tab which we normally see in UD stock posting for normal inspection lots (non-HU managed items) for changing the date.
I don't see any other way to change the posting date for the HU managed item in UD stock posting. Anyone can help please?

Last night my laptop died and the time and date was reset. I cannot acess date and time preferences to change it and my laptop is acting really weird. My CD drive is broken so there are no options to put in a cd. Please someone help i need my laptop for school and cannot afford another.
Many system actions will misbehave, given an inaccurate date. Resetting the NVRAM and / or SMC will not fix it, and if the system has a preposterous date you may not be able to open System Preferences to correct it. This dilemma may or may not be addressed in a future OS X update.
If you cannot open System Preferences you can reset your system date and time using Terminal.
Please read everything that follows before proceeding. Write them down if necessary because the effects of setting a preposterous system date are unpredictable.
Quit System Preferences, force quit if necessary: OS X: How to quit an unresponsive application using Force Quit
Open Terminal - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
You can find Terminal by using the Finder's Go menu and choosing Utilities, then double-click the Terminal icon.
At the prompt, you will be typing a command resembling the following:
sudo date mmddhhnnyyyy
... but you must substitute the actual date and time in the command that corresponds to the date format used for your location. In other words if your custom is to use a date like 8 February 2014 then reverse the mm and dd values.
Substitute numerals in the above command according to the following:
mm = month
dd = date
hh = hour (24 hour format)
nn = minutes past the hour
yyyy = year
Each of those values must be two digits except for the year which can be two or four digits. As an example if the current date and time is February 8, 2014 at 9 PM your command will be the following:
sudo date 020821002014
or
sudo date 0208210014
Either one will work. If you enter nonsensical values the system will attempt to parse the entry correctly.
To recover from your inability to use System Preferences to set the date and time, the value entered does not have to be precise, it just has to be approximate.
Enter that command using the actual time and date for your location and in the appropriate format, then press the Return key. Terminal will ask for your Admin Password - the same one you use when you log in to your Mac. Type it and then press the Return key. What you type will not appear, not even with •••• characters.
To determine if your change was effective just type the date command and press the Return key. Terminal will reply with the date and time. If it appears correct and in the correct format, you should be able to open System Preferences > Date & Time once again. Selecting the "Set time and date automatically" and choosing an appropriate time server will adjust your Mac's system clock to the precise time. -
