Fetch the value from memory ID in ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE

Hi all,
I am using the standard WD4A component HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE and it's application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE. I have one doubt in the parameter tab of the application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE.
Actually there is a parameterPERNR_MEM_ID, I think this is the parameter by which we can set the value parameter(PERNR) into memory ID and retrieve the value(PERNR), when this application triggered.
But I don't know how to to this, if this is the right approach.
Can anyone please suggest me how can I retrieve the value from memory ID when ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE application actually trigged.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am facing one issue, If I pass the Memory ID as "ECC01" and set the process name in Process parameter, then the form will open by skipping the Select employee and select Process.
But in the case of MSS, ehen I am passing the memory ID as "MSS01" and set the process in Process parameter, then it will not open the form screen dirctly. It will then open the Initial screen Select Employee for ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE.
It is because of the multiple PERNR are available for the Manager. Do I open the form dirctly for Manager also.
Please suggest.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

Error while fetching the values from database

hiii all,
I have a dynpro project where i am using JDBC codes to fetch data from tables. I have used 2SQL queries...in the first query i am fetching values from 2tables and taking the result from this i run another query.As a result i expect 19591 records as the output....
1)when i put while loop for 19000, 19000records are being within 1min.....
2)when i put while loop for 20000, exception is thrown as :
ArrayIndexOutOfboundsException : size:19591,i:19591
i is variable for while loop
3)when i dont put any condition for while loop, itz taking unlimited time and output is not displayed....
please do help out...

Fetch the value from combobox

we have two jsp files:-
1. fundtrans.jsp
2. update.jsp
in file 1 we used 2 combobox and 1 textbox, we retrieved values in comboboxes from database.Now user select any value from both combobox and we want to send that value in next jsp page. After submitting values in both combobox and textbox , the database table updates.
my problem is that we are not able to use the selected value in combobox on next jsp page

Get the values and put it in the session (in your action class), then using session.getAttribute, get the values back in your another jsp.
OR
Put the selected values in the hidden field (do it in the javascript), using getter and setter method get the value back.

Dynamic selection screen fetching the value from table fields

i have one table say ztable...and i should create a dynamic selection screen which should populate the selection screen by the table field names.
example..if i have 3 fields im my table..my selection screen should have three selection option fields..and in future if i add one more field in my table it should automatically create another slection-option in selection screen..

Do you mean like SE16 works. If so, you should notice that if you amend the selection fields, the screen program is actually re-generated.
That is what is happening. A program is being created and re-generated.
To create a dynamic selection screen in a single program is not possible ( I may be wrong ). If it is possible, then you would have problems in defining selection screen field names and using them.

Fetching multiple values from XML node

I have the below XML string / Data stored in one of a table column. I am trying to extract the values of ITEM_NAME node. using the query :

If i use this query i am getting the error as : ORA-19025 EXTRACTVALUE returns value of only one node

Just think of dynpros as windows into the global memory of your program... so if you want the value of a field on dynpro 1234 to appear on dynpro 2345, then just pop the value into a global variable (i.e. one defined in your top include), and you will be able to see it in your second dynpro (assuming you make the field formats etc the same on both screens!).

How to display the values from the table in the screen

Define a function code 'SHOW' for your button. In your PAI module, when you check for various sy-ucomms, check for 'SHOW' also.
Your code will be like this:
Case sy-ucomm.
when 'SHOW'.
perform show_details.
endcase.
In the perform, you can fetch the data from the table and put it in global variables. In the PBO, move the data from the global variables to the screen fields so that they get displayed on the screen.

Export your internal tables or work areas to a memory id in ur program before u use submit.
Then in second pgm you have to import from memory id given above.
example.
EXPORT gs_header FROM gs_header to memory id 'HEADER'.
EXPORT gt_item FROM gt_item to memory id 'ITEM'.
SUBMIT YFIIN_DISHC_MAILREPORT EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY AND RETURN.
In your second pgm you can write
import gs_header TO gs_header from MEMORY id 'HEADER'.
import gt_item TO gt_item from MEMORY id 'ITEM'.

There are far too many errors to try and clear.
For one, the exception references the actionPerformed method (according to your text), so why is that not shown here?

Let me describe the same.
Suppose the PO creation date is 04.07.2007
The conditions for an item in a contract for the PO are as follows;
1. Validity from 04.07.2007 validity to 04.07.2007 Netprice = 100.00
2. Validity from 05.07.2007 validity to 31.12.9999 Netprice = 200.00
We need to always fetch the netprice from the validity period which always matches with the PO creation date. here the value 100.00 should be the correct netpr as the PO creation date matches with the first validity period.
But the program is fetching the netprice 200.000 which belongs to the second validity period. That is beacuse the select statement which fetches the data for contracts collects on the basis of EKKO-kdate and ekko-kdtab.the fields kdate and kdtab retrieves the validity period of the contract which is from 04.07.2007 to 31.072007. This data is then used to retrieve the netpr data from EKPO and it fetched 200.00 as it retrives the netprice of current data in contract validity and h not with respect to PO creation date.
This data is then used to fetch the get the netpr data from EKPO.
what we need is the netprice for that validity period of item(Conditions) that matches with the PO creation date..

Hi,
Please get the valid condition ( based on date ) from A016 (MK & LPA). With the appropriate KNUMH read the Condition header. You can access the different condition items viz., PB00, RA00 etc., for the values from table KONP. Further if you have Value scales / Quantity scales, you can read the data from KONM, KONW.
An additional tips: in KONP, if you have a condition like RA00 - Rebate, the value will be multiplied by 10 and saven in database to accomodate the discount to the third decimal.
I could not completely understand your requirements like nature of development ( Is it a Report / SAP Script ??) you are working etc., so that I could help you precisely.

consider me21n,
po is created with the item category L,so components tab is enabled.that u all know.
i have added the custom tab in the item details with netwt,gross wt,no of pieces and one more field.
those fields are also in component structure of material data.
i need to pass the matnr,maktx,quantity,ntwt,grosswt from the component to be displayed in the subscreen.
i used import mdpm to xmdpm from memory id 'subcon', where it is exported from the function module 'me_components-maintain'.
how to pass all the values from component of structure MDPM to the subscreen of custom tab in the item details.
help me pls........................'
