FI AP Extraction proceedure please

Can any body please explain the FI AP extraction proceedure (both Line item and Transaction figures) and also please explain how to validate (reconcile) the extracted data in BW with R/3 data, any Tcodes to compare data?
Please provide step by step explianation and if u have any documents plz send.

Extraction process is same as for any other non-LO extractor.
REg reconciliation, it depends on what data you wish to report on in BW.
How to reconcile:
1. First check the reports in R/3 for AP; there are lot of reports delivered by SAP. These are the reports primarily you will be reconciling your data with.
2. Look at the reports in BW and decide which is the one to reconcile with.
3. There may be situation in which you dont have a corresponding reports in R/3 for reconciliation.
4. IN this case, it is slightly hard; some options: to display documents in R/3 and sum them up for a given vendor, fiscal month, etc.
5. You can also write some custom reports in R/3 just for reconciliation purposes.

First of all, I am very new user to XML and also Java. If my question is nonsense, forgive me, please.
I would like to test that the string in the node are equal with some string that I want to search. I use DOM API.
The following code are ok for the node is directly included text CDATA. The program gives the true value. In the following simple code, I tried to search the string "ACTI".
for example; the node, <LABEL>Problem in Activity</LABEL> , I got "true".
But I would like to match also the node ,
<SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Activity" >
There is also "Activity" string value in class_constraint.
So how can I extract and match that string data?

As I gave my code example in my first post, I parse the XML document and I checked each node whether it is CDATA Node or Document Node, Element Node, and so on.. I used CASE statement.
If it is CDATA node, I compare Node value and the string I want to search.
At that time, I faced the problem that you solved already, I didn't know how to compare in attribute node.
With your suggestion, I can compare now.
But the problem now is that... when I extract element by tag name, it cannot test node by node.
So, how can I combine these two code?
Actually, what I am going to do is that if node is not match (in anywhere) with the string what I want to search starting from parent node to all child nodes, I want to delete that node starting from parent node and it's childs. And I want to create a new XML document by deleating unmatched nodes.
For example, in the following XML, I would like to delete the second <CONCEPT> node while I search for "Acti" string. There is no "Acti" in the second.

As noted above, this is hexadecimal. So rather than using base 10, this uses base 16 so that the right hand number is simply that number (with A = 10, B = 11, C = 12... F = 15). The next column of number represents the 16 column and is multiplied by 16, the next column represents the 16x16 column... so that:
0x1FF means
1 * 16 * 16 +
15 * 16 +

0FI_AP_4 - Delta Extraction Problem - Please help

Hi,
I activated the business content ODS 0FIAP_O03 and the relevant infosource for Accounts Payable and also did the init. In R/3 I created an Invoice using FB60 transaction and Posted the payment using F-53 transaction. I can see the document in BSAK table which the 0FI_AP_4 extractor is using but when I see the delta queue in RSA7 there are 0 records for the extractor 0FI_AP_4 which means the new changes are not pushed to the delta queue. Please help.

Hi Thiagu,
Try running a delta load 0FI_AP_4 using the tcode RSA3 in your R/3 system? Are you seeing your document there?
I would also check RAS7 in R/3, and to make sure the delta init has taken properly. You can also check for your document there.

RAR Extraction..please help

Hi all hope someone can help,
I am trying to move some files from a download to a usb stick via the means that have be given to me(see below) for a satnav update for a car but cannot seem to understand the instructions completely.I wonder if I can achieve this being on a mac and not pc?Does RAR work in the same way on the mac as have only used on pc before.I installed RAR extractor free which works but not sure if works same way as say winrar .
I have included so of the instructions as given to me and the company i bought this from who has said I only need to extract the first file and the others will do themselves,hopefully someone out there is more clued up than me and can make sense of all this.

It looks like you need to copy and paste the files from the first extracted folder to the top level of the USB drive, then start the process, then when it asks for the next part (DVD 2 or USB 2), you have to delete the files at the top level and copy and paste the files from the second (USB2) folder to the top level and insert the USB drive again, etc. Are you missing the part where you delete files from the top level and copy files from the next extracted folder in the sequence?

Anyway to begin with let me try to do give you some preliminary procedure. As you may be aware that the LO Cockpit consists of many logistics related standard Datasources.
In LO Cockpit, You can maintain and modify the logistics datasources and do other related activities.
To begin with you Access the LO Cockpit from T-CODE LBWE or from SBIW.
Prior to this Transfer the Logistic Datasource from Business Content ( RSA5)
Step 1 Maintain Extract structure :- The extract structures can be maintained by you or by SAP. From the list of fields that are available in the extract structure you can select the necessary fields or you can opt to enhance the structure with Zfields too. In the later case you need to do write exit to populate the data for the added Zfields.
Step 2 Maintain Datasources :- Here you can maintain the general settings for the datasources like selection fields and so on.
Step 3 Delete the Contents of the Setup table :- The Content of the setup table is used for delta initialization ( T CODE : LBWG)
Step 4 Replicate and Activate the Datasource in BI System and Maintain the Data target, Transformation and the DTP settings.
Step 5 Populate the setup table needs with historical data ( T CODE OLI*BW; where * refers to the identification for specific application say 3 for purchasing, 7 for Sales) or you can maintain the same from SBIW. Ensure that there are no postings done in the respective Application during this step.
Step 6 Create Infopackage and Initializa delta in the Scheduler.
Step 6 Maintain Job Control Parameters and Upload Mode.
Step 7 Now you can schedule your V3 Job.

Extracting an asset that has a portion off canvas

I want to point out something that has happened to me just a few times, and I'm sure some people will have this issue and some won't since it's totally based on how one designed their psd's.
When extracting something like this header here...
I get this result...
As you can see my designer just made a taller shape and moved it off canvas, something I wouldn't do but something my designer has done before, it's fine he doesn't think about that kind of thing a lot and I can just pull it into photoshop and cut the excess off, but I wanted to point this out and just put on the radar that this does happen sometimes and it would be awesome if parfait was smart enough to see the off canvas bit and cut it out of the asset extraction.

My iphone 3gs shut off and now wont make it past the apple screen i put it in recovery mode but when i do connect it to my itunes the phone will just shut off and keep going into recoveryt mode its really ******* me off please help!!!

Extracting a Report from SAP Spool into a Useful Excel 2010 Format. I'm currently running the following report in SAP and would like the
ability to set this report up as a recurring report running weekly and
subsequently access this report in a useable Excel 2010 format without
much data manipulation. Can you please assist me. Below, I've tried to
provide an example of what I'm encountering. Thanks, beforehand for
your assistance.
Here goes:
Step one: Run 62 Report in SAP S_P99_41000062- Material List Price and
Inventory
Step 2. Select stored Variant "Weekly KPI", ok. Enter the enter the
desired company code and period I want thre report to run for and update
the currency, if necessary. Having input my desired criteria, I believe
I can either execute immediately, run in the background, preset to run
at date in the future. For this example let's just execute, immediately.
This is where the difference originates. Given, I run this report
immediately, I'm able to simply extract the result to Excel via the list
selection noted in the tool bar below. The result is a data friendly
excel 2007 report is automatically generated.

Select save and Excel 2007 opens automatically:
That said, the method outlined above works perfectly fine if you want
the report immediately. Now let go back and run the exact same report
with exceptoin of running it in the background and having to retrieve it
from the Spool (SP01) uisng my user ID. Given the report generated in
the background, I would now access the report via the spool and make
the following selections:
SP01 + execute to see my report
I would hit the sunglasses to see the actual report, then want to
extract this report to Excel by selecting the export option.
I would at this point select spreadsheet and be given an option to save
the spreadsheet to local file. However, upon trying to open the
spreadsheet I will receive an error messageindicating that the format is
different than that which the file I am currently trying to open it
with. I'm currently running Excel 2010 on my computer. The currency
format and other issues arrise with this extract. Please help.

Update to Latest GUI.
Use List -> Export -> Spreadsheet to get the output to excel.
I remember in ALV max length allowed is 1023 characters and the max no of columns supported is 90. Issue occurs when row size of exported data gets more than 1023 character. (This includes if Long/Medium Header Text used ) If it exceed 1023 character the columns splits and moves to next row.
Check your fieldcatog for header lengths.

Finance GL/ AR /AP extraction

Hello Experts,
I am a newb with respect to BI/BW extraction. Please read through and let me know if all the configuration is proper and is there any change required.
I donot have access to SAP notes. I have referred to best practices, but for the GL account the document is kinda of offtrack or I believe its incomplete.
Very well here it goes.
For GL extraction.
General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures
ODS object 0FIGL_O10 is connected to infoSource 0FI_GL_6 which is further connected to datasource 0FI_GL_6
FIGL: Transaction Figures- Cost of Sales Ledger
ODS object 0FIGL_O07 is connected to infoSource 0FI_GL_7 which is further connected to datasource 0FI_GL_7

ODS object 0FIGL_O02 is connected to infoSource 0FI_GL_4 which is further connected to datasource 0FI_GL_4
For AR Extraction

I need to know whether the above configuration is good. My following question is with regard to the infopackages. All of the above sources are delta compatible and so I need to know how to begin the loading of data

> Initialization without Data Transfer
> Early Delta Initialization.
I am thinking that the following extraction steps would be appropriate:
1) Do a full update of GL Line items, Transaction and Cost of Sales and then do a full update for AP and AR Line and Transaction.
2) Initialize with Data Transfer should be done once a full upload is done.
Please throw some more light. Your help would be highly appreciated and awarded accordingly.

Let's take just on flow in consideration, for instance the GL loading process.
The simplest staging scenario needs a first InfoPackage (IP1) for initializing the delta loading process, and a second InfoPackage (IP2) for a delta loading.
No InfoPackage for a full loading would be needed in this basic scenario.
You'll run IP1 once. Without any restriction in the selection tab, the delta process will be initialized for the entire set of data provided by the DataSource.
You'll run IP2 every day. This packege will transfer all the new/changed/deleted (delta) records. As the delta process has been initialized for the entire dataset, it'll be delta-sensible to the entire dataset.
For efficiency reasons (a delta process is less time consuming when it runs against a smaller dataset), you could define one ore more InfoPackage for loading chunks of data in full mode.
Let's say have to load 2 years of data. You might create another InfoPackage (IP3) which will load the past year's data, in full mode.
When editing IP3, you can set this restriction in the tab selection data, by setting the fiscal year to the previous year. Moreover, in the tab update parameters the update mode needs to be full .
On the other hand, you have to edit IP1, and set the fiscal year to the current year (in the tab selection data, you've got to fill the field from value with the current year, and the field to value with the year 9999 -- this way the delta process will work also next year and so on).
This change will allow you to initialize the delta process the current year's data -- and any data that will be posted in the future.
You will run IP3 once, and you'll get the past year's data. Next you'll run IP1 once to initialize the delta process for this year's data. Finally you'll schedule the run of IP2 for every day.
The number of full data loadings you'll need depends on the amount of data you have to fetch from the source system.

How to copy exitsitng extracter into another new extracter?

Hello,
Please some one can tel me how to copy the existing extracter into another new extracter.
I have requirment as below
Currect me if i am wrong ,need to enhance the existing extracter and add some new fields,and need to include some masterdata filds also to it.
For master data i am going to do write routines at Transfermation so that no need to include in my exter for those filds to extracter.
Please some one guide me in this scenario.

Hi,
you do not have to copy the extractor, you can enhance it with fields and fill them via enhancement coding --> rsa6.
If you want to copy it, you need to check what kind of extractor you have. Is it a function module or just a table extractor.
for fm: copy the function module via se37 and copy the extract structure via se11. Add your enhancements in the copied structures and coding. Create a new datasource with rso2.
for table extractor: create a view adding the additionally needed fields. create a new ds with rso2. Surely you need to add some coding in the relevant enhancement.

Error in Masterdata Extraction

Hi Friends I have problem with Master data Extraction. Please give me solution.
I have a process chain and it is having so many loads and middle of that chain I have 0Customer master data. The datasource for this is Pre-defined in R/3. For delta load we are getiing a problem like: The attributes for charecteristic 0customer was locked by change run id.. User ALEREMOTE locked the load of master data for charecteristic 0customer
This is the error Im getting in DELTA Update. If it is FULL load it is working fine.So please give me solution for this problem.

Hi SKR,
ALEREMOTE locks can cause data load errors in BW.
Case 1:
Failure occurred When delta Update is going on from one data target to another data target.
What needs to Be done :
In Monitor check the technical status of the request for red status and then, delete the request from the data target.
If its delta update, In the source datatarget reset the delta. Retrigger the infopackage to load data again.
If its Full update, restart job again after deleting error request from the datatarget.
Case 2:
Object locked by user
Cause: This can happen when user or ALEREMOTE is accessing the same table
What needs to be done:
Change the technical status of job to red,delete request from datatarget and trigger Infopackage again. If its delta update it will ask for repeat delta,Click on Yes button.
case: 3
Change run already started by ALEREMOTE
Cause:
This can happen due to overlapping of same request to Program.
what needs to be done:
Go to Transaction Code RSATTR; see if its running. Once its finished, repeat the job

As you know LO cockpit consists of different modules(MM, PP, SD, etc)
They are called appl components. Each of them have a number (eg.MM=02) and for each appl comp they might be different Data sources and for each DS they might be different tables. So, unless you be specific we cant tell a specific table for a DS.
coming to the delta mechanisms, there are " direct delta, queqed delta and serialized delta".
Copa is based on the oepration concern. it can be created on " accouting based" or "costing based".
