FI Doc in copa

Hi
i would like to know what is the last FI document for which i have run the COPA Assessment Cycle for a particular period.
For Eg.
I ran my COPA assess cycle on 2.5.08 (previous period i.e. April) and the cycle posted some COPA document  ranging  from 30000450 to 30001550,on 5.5.08 i posted some 10 more FI document in system for the previous period i.e April 2008.
Now i want to know which was last FI document upto which i ran my copa assess cycle.
If i want to run the cycle for the remaining 10 FI document posted for the previous period,is there any way so that i can run the cycle without reversing the cycle,bcoz the data is more and the system takes a lot of time to post the COPA document.
Your help will be very much appreciated
Regards
Pran

Hi
Take the Date and Time of the Assessement cycle.
Use the details in the Table:BKPF along with the Company Code and Document type (if any specifi...) and get the FI document list.

    trying to reconcile fi to copa and there are many manual entries in fi that didnt reach copa. is there a doc flow table per se linking fi doc to copa doc?
    thanks

    Go to FI Doc and then click on environment and then click on accounting docs to see if you have any Profit Center doc etc to find out the Segment #
    Check to see whether you can see that document # in the table CE3XXXX (XXXX is the Operating Concern)

  • Error while posting billing docs in COPA

    Here is the error .
    In Profitability Analysis, an attempt was made while valuating with material costing to read for material "vrtest a standard cost estimate released on posting date "09/08/2011".
    The system has discovered that there are no error-free standard cost estimates released in plant "BP01" on the specific date "09/08/2011" for material The material cost estimate is accessed according to the CO-PA Customizing settings for costing key "Z00" under Define Access to Material Costing.
    I have marked the cost estimate but am not able to release it using ck24 price update .. It has stopped all my work . PLease help . Have to solve it this weekend .

    From your post I can't tell if you already have a released cost estimate, just not one valid on that specific day.  If you have a released cost estimate then you may want to change the period indicator on your costing key.  You probably will want to set it to 1 (current standard cost estimate according to material master).  You probably have it set to 4 now.
    If you don't have a current released cost estimate then what is the message you are getting when you try to release your marked cost estimate?
    thanks,

  • How to create pdf from word doc file

    HI
    I have a word doc file. (not docx). I have adobe 8 pro. I wrote a word script to create the file using the distiller. The fonts in the pdf file it makes look wacky. That script looks liek this:
    * create archive pdf file
    lfilename = "t:\cardeals\pdf\pdf_archive\" + PADL(alltrim(STR(month(date()))),2,"0") + PADL(alltrim(STR(DAY(DATE()))),2,"0") + SUBSTR(ALLTRIM(STR(YEAR(DATE()))),3,2) + "1.pdf"
    oWord = createOBJECT("Word.Application")
    oWord.DisplayAlerts = .f.
    oWord.documents.open('t:\cardeals\cardeals.doc')
    oword.ActivePrinter = "\\CSSSERVERONE\Overflow"
    oword.application.printout(,,,,,,,4,,,,,,,,,,,)
    oWord.PrintOut(.F.,.F.,,"c:\output.ps",,,,,,.F.)
    oPDF = CREATEOBJECT ( "PDFDistiller.PDFDistiller.1" )
    oPDF.FileToPDF("c:\output.ps", "&lfilename.", "High Quality" )
    oWord.application.quit
    release oword
    I also wrote a script to attempt to print it from the Adobe printer. It seems to work, but when I go to open the created pdf file it I get the following message:
    Acrobat could not open mypdf.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.
    The code was this:
      Set oWordApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")
        Set oDocument = CreateObject("Word.Document")
        oWordApp.Visible = True
        oWordApp.Application.WindowState = wdWindowStateMinimize
        Set oDocument = oWordApp.Documents.Open("t:\cardeals\cardeals.doc")
        strOutputPDFName = "c:\mypdf.pdf"
        holdprtrdefault = oWordApp.ActivePrinter
        oWordApp.ActivePrinter = "Adobe PDF"
        oWordApp.Application.PrintOut FileName:="t:\cardeals\cardeals.doc", _
            Copies:=1, _
            Range:=wdPrintAllDocument, _
            Item:=wdPrintDocumentContent, _
            Pages:="", _
            PageType:=wdPrintAllPages, _
            Collate:=True, _
            Background:=False, _
            PrinttoFile:=False, _
            OutputFileName:=strOutputPDFName
    If I clkick on the PDFMaker icon iside word, the resultant file is BEAUTIFUL. Can I automate this from within word? If not, does PDFMaker have a command line utility that I could put in a batch file?

    I don't have an answer, but you might get a better response in the scripting forum.

  • COPA value field not getting complete SD condition value

    Hi Gurus,
    I find a strange issue when a billing document is transferred to COPA (well basically, after a billing document is released to accounting, all the controlling docs and COPA docs are generated). The issue is, I have a SD pricing condition which has been assigned to COPA value field. I also have the transfer +/- sign checked on this value field. Now consider the following 2 scenarios:
    Scenario 1: In VKOA, two different G/l accounts have been assigned to the corresponding pricing condition account key. These 2 G/L accounts have been defined as cost elements with category '12' (its related to sales deduct). and fall under the same cost element group. When a billing doc is posted to accounting and hence to COPA, I see that there is no value in the value field and the corresponding condition type. Then I ran a simulation using KE4ST and found that I have two lines with the same pricing condition type and value field but one carries a positive value and the other one carries a negative value. Then I came to a conclusion that may be these two lines are netting out and hence there is no value being posted on the value field.
    Scenario 2: In VKOA, I have assigned two different G/L accounts which fall under different cost element group and one is defined as category 12 and the other as category 1. This time I see that only 1 line of value field is brought into COPA corresponding to the pricing condition and hence I see a value in COPA value field. But business doesn't want to go with scenario 2 as they don't want to use two cost elements in different cost element group. Also one is sales deduct and the other is primary cost/ cost reducing revenue. So there is a balance getting accumulated in the primary cost/cost reducing revenue element.
    How do I resolve this issue to post a value to the COPA value field using scenario 1?  I have also tried to uncheck the transfer +/- sign but I am unable to even release a billing doc to accounting as it is giving me a error message,: "correct the value field assignment for the condition type".
    Please help me !!

    Sony

    You are going to create revenue element later on and want to incorporate this 6 months billing doc to COPA right?
    I think you can use following option

  • COPA document created from billing document, cost components are twice

    Hi Experts,
    Ref Subject line : COPA document created from billing document, cost components are twice.
    I have checked the following :
    1.  Cost Estimate of a material
    2.  Production Confirmation of the Order
    When comparing both of the above, they are same, without variance.
    Now when a COPA document is created, we observe the Cost Component Split in Sales Order to be exactly TWICE as compared to Cost Estimate of the material.
    May I please request help from you all. What must be the cause & where do i check / rectify.
    Regards,
    Hussein.

    Hi Hussein
    If you are seeing double in KE30 Report - May be you are updating both sales order and billing doc in COPA and hence you are seeing 2 line items.. But one of them will be record type A and the other one with F
    If the above is not the case and you are seeing double in the COPA document itself - Then See if you have mapped VPRS cond type in KE4I to the same value fields as Cost Comp Split
    Also, one strong possibility that you are using Batch Split in SD.. .... Which means your delivery document (VL03N) will have multiple batches of materials being delivered to the customer....
    a. In this case, your Item Category for main item (HPOS) and Sub Item (UPOS) has to be different and the Item catg for UPOS should not be relevant for billing / Costs... Note 77414 descirbes this situation and the settings to be done in SD Customizing
    b. You may need to apply note 352441 in your system

  • Distribution criteria list for receiver weighting factors in COPA segment assessment cycle

    Hello guys !
    I would like to add the product hierarchy in the distribution criteria list (transaction KEU3).
    Is someone could give me the solution ?
    Best regards
    Bruno

    Hi Ashok
    Summ levels can be used in Assessment cycles... Your "Distribution List" tab might take time to finish...
    However, I would ask you to assess your req once again... This level of allocation is more likely to cause performance issues
    however, if no of docs in COPA is not much, then you need not worry
    What worries me is that you cant use non-segment level chars as receivers in COPA assessment cycle.. have you specified BATCH No as segment level char in KEQ3? If yes, please undo it.. Else, you are going to face a nightmare situation

  • Batches Nrs. into COPA

    Hiya gurus!
    I am working with this client who has COPA installed and now they are implementing BI.
    One of the users came to me with the query if the "Batches Nrs." allocated in the Billing Documents (VF03) can be brought into COPA so, then they can be displayed afterwards in BI.
    Now, as i understand the Batch Nr. field is a table lookup and cannot be created as a Characteristic eventually in COPA.
    I would like to confirm that there isn't other way from COPA side to fix this.
    Or if there is a way to do it from BI directly probably...
    Thanks and Regards,
    fb.

    > 1- What does mean that the Profitability Segment number will be redetermined in the billing document?
    In the sales order you will most of the times not have already entered the batch you intend to sell. So when the profitability segment is already determined at the point in time when the sales order is entered, the batch number will not be taken into account for the profitability segment.. Beter for your requirement ist it if the profitability segment is again redertemined when the billing document is created. Then the batch number should normalle by known and can be taken into account.
    > 2- Why in the example to find the routine nr. it shows you the routine for copying control of Delivery Docs. to Billing Docs., shouldn't be the case from Sales Order to Billing Document, if the Batch nr. is defined at a Sales Order level?
    I don't see that. But: The usual case will be that the delivery document contains batch and valuation type, the sales order not always. Therefore this copy might be safer.
    > 3- This client i work for transfers the Billing Docs to COPA, no Sales Order are moved to COPA. So, i am not 100% understanding if this SAP note applies then?!
    Sure, that is the case described here. Technically a lot of the sales order info are handed over to CO-PA during the billing time as well.
    > 4- They don't have account based or transfer from Sales Order, is this SAP note still applicable to this?
    If they don't have account-based one of the reasons for problems is not relevant.
    It might be that you don't need the procedure of the note because the batch is already transferred to CO-PA in your customer example. You just have to define the batch as a characteristic and use it in reporting. Thereis a good chance that it works ut of the box. That was the case when I tried with the valution type.

  • Distribution criteria list in Assessment cycle takes time

    Dear Peers,
    When I click the tab 'Receiver Tracing factors' of the COPA Cost Center cycles, a dialog 'Distribution criteria list' which asks for one more selection for confirming the receiver parameters. After selecting all of them, it takes very long time but in vain.
    In my case, I want to allocate the selling overheads on the basis for those products with particular batch, say, which starts with say '1' by giving the range as 1AAAAAA TO 1ZZZZZZZ. This '1' denotes one of the manufacturing plants. Hence, I want to pick up the batches which have been sold across the company code in other plants as well as in depots numbering 100+. I had already created  the summarization levels and now I had refreshed it but it has no effect on it. Do we need to create seperate summarization level manually for this and how? Is there any thing other than summarization, we need to do?

  • How to see all billing types in use at present ?

    Gurus,
    My comp is moving for an upgrade. How can I see the list of all billing types that are being used by the company ?
    The navigation "IMG>sales and distribution>billing>billing documents>define billing types>define billing types"  shows me all the regular billing types what SAP got. How can I know as to what only are in practice ?
    I am sorry if this question sounds silly or weird.... am kind of new
    Please help. Thanks

    Getting a list of billing types is a small step in understanding what is 'in the system' in preparing for an upgrade. It's more important to understand the chain of documents - potentially starting from inquiry, all the way through the accounting document for a debit/credit note.
    It's the chains that are important for the upgrade - this is for two reasons.
    1. You don't test a billing document on its own.
    2. Upgrade issues (95% of the time) are due to custom code - and the copy routines are often custom
    What I have done in the past is start with the initial documents in the chains - and work through the chains forward to build up the scenarios, You can map these out in a flowchart - of just use Excel.
    For example e.g
    Sales Order ==> Delivery type ==> Billing doc==> FI Doc
    ZOR                        LF                        F2                  RV
    This doesn't take that long - and gives a very good idea of what the real scenarios are. You will generally not get a complete answer from any use - or from the pre-existing documentation.
    Depending on you controlling modules, you can also add the different accounting doc (CO, COPA, PCA, Special Ledger)
    You can use SE16 as other replies have mentioned. Use VBAK (sales docs) , VBFA (docunent flow), VBRK (billing docs)

  • COPY FROM command on ORDIMAGE closes SQL-Plus !!

    Hi, I4m using the following command:
    COPY FROM user/pass@Oracle6 INSERT mytable USING SELECT * FROM mytable;
    ...but it always starts processing and closes the SQL-Plus without copying data ! The tables contains an ORDIMAGE column, I wonder if it can be causing the problem.
    Thanks for any help.
    Alexandre.

    From the 9.0.1 doc.
    Copies data from a query to a table in a local or remote database. COPY supports the following datatypes:
    CHAR DATE LONG NUMBER VARCHAR2
    The COPY command is not being enhanced to handle datatypes or features introduced with, or after Oracle8. The COPY command is likely to be made obsolete in a future release.
