Field Controls in cProjects
Hi,
I am trying to hide or display some fields in cProjects tab of RESOURCES. We want that the Role Type, Role function field and the STAFFING field in the RESOURCE tab to be in DISPLAY status only. Can sombody let me know that which parameter (Object) and Sub object do I need to select and set the status as Display only.

2. select obj category as MTG
3. in "Assign Fields to Field Groups"
For DPR_TS_API_PARTICIPANT Select Role type Select G003

Field Controls in cProjects - Question
Hi,
I have added a Custom field in a Custom include. This include is included in standard structure DPR_TS_API_PROJECT_O.
I have placed the custom field in the UI of a WD Component. Now i want to control the attributes of this custom field through field controls.
When i go to the option "Setup Field Control" in SPRO, i could not find this particular field under the standard structure DPR_TS_API_PROJECT_O.
Is there any other customization that i am missing as the field is not appearing under field controls.

You have to execute the DPR_CUST_FLDS_IN_FC_MAP report.
The Webdynpro interface uses the API structures that were newly defined for Release 4.00. The field mapping between old and new API structures is defined in the DPR_FC_MAP table. The DPR_CUST_FLDS_IN_FC_MAP report also adds the additional customer fields to this mapping table. This means that field control is then also available for the additional customer fields.
When you execute the DPR_CUST_FLDS_IN_FC_MAP report, you only have to create the structure with the customer inclu
de, for example, DPR_TS_PROJECT_EXTENDED_ATTR.
Execute this report: you will see the field

Hello
In cProjects, in set-up field control it is possible to adjust behavior (display, updatable, mandatory, u2026) field by field.
My questions are:
- Where to find the complete list of conditions available?
- Is any condition is usable everywhere, for example C001 Object is released on a DAG Document (means the object link to this document is released)?
- Is there a condition with a meaning like u201CThe object is in creationu201D (to have for example a phase description not updatable after creation)?
- How to create its own conditions?

I am trying to setup field control to make a bespoke field in a bespoke tab toggle between READ only and Editable.
I have gone through number of posts and the SAP note you mentioned. I have setup the entire configuration required and it is still not working.
What confuses me is that, to setup a field control dynamically, is it all done via configuration?. Is some coding still required in the VIEW methods?. I am setting up a debug breakpoint in the class method that is created for the condition I created, but the program is not stopping there so I think the condition method is not being called.
Please can you give some more details.

CProjects -error after modifying and then reverting custom field control
Hi,
We want to make a field non-mandatory in cProjects. We first changed the config of the field in the custom field control in SPRO by making it changeable.But after that cProjects is giving a dump when we try to view or create any project.
We reverted this change and restarted the servers but still see the dump.
Any pointers on how to solve this issue will be helpful.

We did not modify the standard field control.We just tried to make the one of the standard fields 'Changeable' in the custom field control we have.But we got the dump, so we reverted the change back to 'Mandatory'.
Now everything is same in the development server as other servers.. but still the dump shows up. Tried clearing IE cache , restarting server.. but the dump doesn't want to leave it seems.. Any ideas on what else we can try ?

CProjects Fields - Structures and field Controls

On the Project -Additional Data tab on cProjects, we have a field which is called Project "Created by". I am trying to locate where is that field stored in the tables. I saw that under the field controls ,an external structure is maintained and this feild is available there but not sure how to view the data in that structure ( i guess we can't view this data as its under a structure).
Since we have the accounting integeration on, so when we transfer the Project ,the Projects gets created in the backend ( ECC) with a "created by" of the repsective cProjects server name.
All I am looking for is who created the Project ( as in cProjects) and the date on which it was created.

Field Control settings in SRM 7.0

We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
We want to make
1. Some fields mandatory for example Refernce Document in Confirmation document..etc --->> I done setting in the sRM Config at SPRO......-> Configure Control for Fields on Header Level->Metadata for Fields on Document Headers for this field and now it is howing red star in that document, but stuill w/o entering in that field, system allowing me to post this confirmation document....we had not used DOC_CHECK badi for same.. Is using of this or other Badi is necessary to give me error message if this field is not entered ?
2.1 want to hide some fields like Prefered Supplier in Shopping cart item level.....I checked in UI, its field id is PROP_SUPPLIER....but unable to find the field for same in the SPRO-.......Configure Control for Fields on Item Level->Metadata for Fields on Item Level..... Where can get exact /corrcet field name for fileds in UI ..so that I can hide them?
2.2 Also How can I hide tab Page like "Approval" in any documnet like Shopping Cart or any documnet ?

FI-TV Scheme and Field control in Travel Manager

Question:
The question is - Is it possible to somehow customize field control for TRIP selective screen by means of SPRO IMG Scheme and field control or transaction FITVFELD (i.e. hide some fields or add new fields)? Or fields can be added or deleted only by ABAP modifications and User-exits?
Prerequisite: I need to add an additional CHAR or TEXT field "Document number" in TRIP transaction which will allow a manager to manually enter a document number of a trip. Further this field has to be added in reports as well, so that manager could get all the trip details due to this new field "Document number".
What am I doing wrong?

did copy standard variant?!
if you copy from standard variant - such as 01, or 99, then you will find schema under your copy trip variant.

Entry in field Funds Center required; check the field control Mg No.FMEF010
Hi,
We have a Z tcode for converting planned order to purchase requisition.
We use Account assignment P - Project and A - Asset.
We have WBS element and fund center linked to it.
For the Z tcode while converting Planned order to purchase requisition we are getting below error
Error: Entry in field Funds Center required; check the field control Msg No.FMEF010
While creating manually purchase requisition with same GL code and WBS element the fund center gets automatically picked.
Can anyone pls let me know in which table we can find the link between WBS element and fund center so that we can code the same in our program. In PRPS table we can find the link between WBS and profit center.
Or is there any user exit that can be used.

If you do a F1 in the value date field it will give you the answer - The value date is used in bank accounts and bank sub-accounts.
As regards the other query check whether the tax code has been already created.

SRM 7.0 custom field made required in field control but not working
Dear Gurus,
I have added one custom field in the SC, made it mandatory/required with by setting flag in the field control. But i can save/park/order the SC without entering any value in the field.
However, if i set the same option for a standard field like "shopping cart name", the user cannot go further without entering a value. Although I can handle this with the BAdI, but shouldn't this work?

I'd say Yes it should. But it is not working based on my observation. I'd suggest that you create an OSS message and get an official SAP response to this issue. -

additional field, and is not contained in transaction OB20, it is not a
field that can be controlled in conventional ways.
My suggestion would be, to use SE51 (Screen Painter) to maintain the
attributes for this field:

Field control in shopping cart screen
Hi All,
My requirement is that approvers or delegates should not be able to delete attachments from shopping cart. I did take a look at BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI
but then that doesn't show any thing about field control in shopping cart (BUS 2121).
The other solution i was thinking about is to change the HTML templates to suppress that delete icon in approver screen. can anybody throw light on this issue

I'm integrating PS( which is on IDES system ECC6 PH6) with cProjects( which is on DEV system ECC6 PH6 PPM 5.0). I've done customizing in DEV and IDES. The Controlling Method is Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Automatic).
When I'm saving a project with status 'to be transferd', the warning message appeared and I'm failing to assign PS Project automaticlly. But manual assignment works fine.

Procedure
Choose the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. In the cockpit, you can create a variant with your Project Management project under Selection Variant Orders Project Management. The errors that occurred are then displayed. If no messages are displayed in the controlling cockpit, they have already been processed or deleted. If this is the case, trigger the transfer again.
No more messages are displayed once the transfer has been carried out successfully (that is, no errors occurred).
Here is the problem:
In this Message, I was told to Choose the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. But actually, I can not find the Controlling Cockpit (Project Management) link on the Accounting tab page. It was missing.
I don't konw what‘s the problem with the missing Controlling Cockpit and how to deal with this warning message getting automatic PS assignment done.
By the way, I've done IDES test, cProjects and ERP system were integrated on the same system with RFC destination NONE. And that works fine on IDES, so I guess I've done the right customizing in the ERP system( IDES).

Controlling cockpit is accessed to view the error details in the accounting integration. This can be accessed through two ways.
1) In Project-->Accounting tab
2) Through tcode - COCPCPR
You can try the second method to view the error details.
And coming back to your query on project profile config in PS, as Pramod said, by standard SAP delivers a standard profile in SAP PS for cProjects-->PS integration. You can find the same in the below SPRO path.
Project System-->Structures-->Operative structure-->Work Breakdown structure(WBS)-->Create Project profile
Project profile name : CPR0001
This project profile is used when an automatic PS project is created through accounting integration.

How can we control "travel expense type"/"Trip type company code specific" field in PR05/employee portal?
I want to make this as mandatory.
This field you can see in "PD/FR reimbursement" header PR05 entry screen.
I have checked in below configuration, but there is no effect if I make it as required input in below configuration.

If we have not entered any value in this field it is throwing below error.
"Entry EN NZ does not exist, check your entry"
Also please let me why this is mandatory to enter and why this is not a mandatory field in standard configuration?

Multilevel Controlling in cProjects
Hi,
I am using multilevel controlling, in cprojects -4.0.A project structure is getting replicated in PS for corresponding elements in cProjects.
My doubt is how do we capture the other costs i.e of Material, labour etc.Do i need to create a network and activities in PS, to assign n captur this cost?
Secondly after the costing is done in PS, does it gets replicated or updated in cProjects Project Structure?

One more issue in cprojects;
I am still stuck up problemof Error of 'Cost/Revenue rates not defined for Resources'.
Just go thru the steps, which i have followed n let me know if i hav done it correctly:
1.Intially i hav defined an orgn in PPOCE, where in i have mentioned the Account Assignment details of CO area,Cost Centre etc.
2.I hav assigned a Position to it i.e. Proj Manager, for which i have defined the rates in backend in R/3.
3.After that i have created a BP in employee role.
4.By again going to PPOME i have assigned this BP to the position and hence the orgn which i have created earlier in PPOCE.
5.Finally when i have created a proj in cProjects, i have assigned that orgn in additional data tab page.
6.Going to the Resource tab page, i have selected the role and staffed the employee(created earlier) for that role i.e Proj Manager.The cost for that role can be seen in costing tab page.But when i calculate the cost i am getting an error that Cost/Revenue rates not defined for Resource (along with the Resource name, which i hav created in employee role)
As per my knowledge i have followed all the steps, but still i am unable to solve the error.If u can give me ur personal id, i can even send u the screen shots which will give u a more clearer idea.

I have upgraded to FF4 The google toolbar works in the sense that the drop down list displays correctly, but you cannot use the mouse to point to an item. You have to press the down arrow key to navigate to the item and then press enter. Is this a FF
