Field value in transaction is diferent in database table.

Hi, i have a field type "curr" in a transaction. The field has a value in the transaction but this value is diferent in
the table that fill this transaction. For example, so field value is 6000 in the transaction, in the table is 60,00.
I need get this value with the format in the transaction.
Can you help me, please?

It means you're using a currency without decimals, in this case the system stores the amount devided for 100 in order to use the field completely and safe the space.
Every field for a amount needs a currency field for the control: so the system can know how to store and display it
When u write an amount you should always use the option CURRENCY in order to convert it to output format automatically.
WRITE <AMOUNT> CURRENCY <CURRENCY>.

Can we pass the value in a input field of a standard transaction calling from WD application. Suppose we are calling a transaction VA03 in an external window, then how will be pass the value in the VBAK_VBELN screen field.
Is there any way to pass the value to this transaction field. I have also tried out to set the parameter ID 'AUN' for VA03 transaction VBELN field. But it did not work for me.
Is there any way to set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD?

Setting primary key field value in jdoPrestore() not flushed to database ?BUG?

When I set value of primary key field of a new instance in jdoPrestore() new
value does not get flushed to database - old (default) value get stored
instead. All other fields assigned in jdoPrestore() get successfully
flushed except primary key one.

You fixed only part of the problem. Right now if I assign value to a PK
field in jdoPreStore() it does get flushed but there is another issue - all
other instances which referenced the one I assigned PK to will not get this
PK value. Example A references B, in B.jdoPreStore() I generate id for B -
b.id = 100. When A gets flushed it would not get 100 in its b_id field.
Specs says:
This method is called ***before the values are stored from the instance to
the StateManager***.
Data store fields that might have been affected by modified non-persistent
fields should
be updated in this method. This method is modified by the enhancer so that
changes to
persistent fields will be reflected in the data store.
The context in which this call is made allows access to the
PersistenceManager and
other persistent JDO instances.
I read it as callbacks should be invoked on ALL instances before they get
stored to StateManager. Does Kodo invoke callbacks for all istances first
and then store them to instance manager? Based on the problem I am having it
does not look like it

Field value in transaction?

Recently I found out that I have a problem in determining the correct internal table use in standard SAP program.
For example, when I debug the standard program for Sales when I creating SO using VA01, how I know which internal table contained the latest value? As inside the standard SAP table, there are a lot of internal table xvbak, vbak, vbep, xvbep...ect. Let say I want to check the latest value for sales order header, should I refer to xvbak or vbak inside the standard SAP program? I did have a confuse on that.
Furthermore, is there any faster way to determine the field value for a certain transaction, for example VA03 and I would like to check on the delivery block field.

use XVBAK table,becoz it will contain the recent or new values.IN sap Xtable generally contains the recent values.U will get the delivery block field LIFSK.

How to Copy Existing values & make new entries in ISU Database tables TE609

Hi friends,
In SAP-ISU for a database table TE609(MR Reasons (Values))
how can I maintain the new MR Reasons, when I press F4 help, in the EL28 standard Transaction those new MR reasons must reflect in the Selection-screen.
There is one Maintenance view TE609T, I maintained the entries in it, but those entries are not reflecting in EL28 Tcode when I pressed F4 Help.
Please guide me in this...

Hello Ganesh,
You are not dealing with the same Data Element (Meaning of the field).
In EL28, it's ABLESGRE - Meter reading reasons for single entry
On table TE609, it's ABLESGR - Meter reading reason
If you take a look at the domain of ABLESGRE, ABLESGRE , you will see that there are FIXED VALUES, that's where come your values.
For single entry (EL28), you can only use those values( Fixed Values from Domain of the Data Element).
Maybe what you need is to find another transaction to enter Meter Readings and not SINGLE ENTRY.

when CV01N transaction has done docuement number is automatically created thats why it should
be blank so, my problem is that document is blank for 1st record & when 2nd record is created using bdc then document number field by default taken value of 1st record .
so plz reply me how to remove this value.

How to pick a field value from transaction during runtime

I have an exit which allows creation of po without purch. req. for selected Purchasing Document Types.
similarly the exit should also allow the creation po's with item categories 'L and U' even without pr's.
now my problem is how to pick the value of this item category during runtime so as to put the check.

if you have the new debugger, you can see the global variables that you can use in your exit (putting a break point on your code), so you can found easly the structure or field that contains your informations.

Update values for additional (new) keyfield in database table

Here in our firm we have a Z table with data in it. As part of the new requirement I had to add a new key field in it.
Now I have to maintain values for these key fields in the already existing data.
I cannot maintain it though SM30 as the maintenance view grays that field in SM30.
Is there any way of updating this new key field data in database.

thank you for this information. Up to now, I thougth, that it is impossible to update the primary key. I've checked it in our system and it works. But it seems, that you have to use the "update set" to update a field of the primary key - am I correct?

What would be the best way to use a list in a textarea to compare to values in a column in a database table?

I'm trying to move a table from a MS Access database to a datasource online so I don't have to be the only one that can perform a specific task.
Right now I regularly am having to assess change requests to determine if it impacts the servers my team supports. Currently I copy and paste the text list into a temporary table in MS Access then hit a button to run a query comparing what was in that list to my server inventory. Works fine but now I need to move this online so others can do this in a place where we can also keep everyone using the exact same inventory and am planning on using a ColdFusion server.
So what I believe would be easiest is to create a form that has a textarea where I can just copy and paste what is in the change request and then hit a submit button and go to the next page where it would list all the servers that matched (with all the other info I also need).
Almost always the info would hit the textarea with a separate row for each server with no other delimiters, etc.
Example info in textarea:
servername1
servername2
servername3
What is the best/easiest way in the SQL code on the following page to take the values from the textarea the way they are listed and return results of any that match the server name column from that list? What CF functions and SQL coding are needed?
I've done something in the past where I did WHERE Server IN (#PreserveSingleQuotes(Form.ServerList)#)...
But I had to input 'servername1', 'servername2', 'servername3' in the text box and with how often we'll be copying lists as show above from a text area or from an excel column I'd really like a way to get from the example above to the results I need without having to manipulate. Sometimes the list I'm comparing against may be 300+ servers and adding that formatting is not desirable.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try creating the field like this
1. Create a new data element with required description.
2. While creating data element select 'Built-in type' radio button under Data Type tab. Specify Data type as STRING and press enter. You need not specify Length (or you can provide 500 here, I suggest not to specify field length as it leads to short dump if you enter text more than 500 chars in it).
Note: Once you press enter you can see an information message 'No length restriction'.
3. Save and activate the data element.
4. Use the data element for your text field in your custom table.
Important:
The text field with size >255 chars should not be a key field, neither you should select 'Initial values' option while defining field.
I have tried this and it worked.

i need to do direct update to the database table and the table has apprx 60,000 records . i am getting all records from database table to internal table and has to chnage the one of the field value and pass it to the database table . So i am looping the internal table and what is the best approach to update the database table is it to use UPDATE Pa0001 SET KOSTL = it_0001-KOSTL from table it_0001 each time in the loop to update each record and commit work which hits database for each record or use the statement UPDATE pa0001 from table it_0001 and if count = 1000 then COMMIT work in this way it will hit the database for every 1000 records . The transaction displaying netweight values, but that value is not updated in the database table named EWA_WA_WEIGHPROC. How can i update that netweight value in the table.

separated list on numbers. In my CFQUERY I am attempting to extract
records from the database table where a parsed number is present in
the comma separated list. I have tried the code below, but it is
throwing an error.
variables.publicationID is the number that I am looking for
in the database table field.
publicationList is the name of the database table field
containing the comma separated list of numbers.
where <cfqueryparam value="#variables.publicationID#"
cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer"> in publicationList

The only way to do it with the data model you currently have
is as follows:
WHERE publicationList LIKE '#variables.publicationID#' OR
publicationList LIKE '#variables.publicationID#,%' OR
publicationList LIKE '%,#variables.publicationID#,%' OR
publicationList LIKE '%,#variables.publicationID#'
You need to check for 4 cases:
it's the only ID in the list
it's the first ID in the list
it's in the middle of the list
it's the last ID in the list.
The better solution would be to replace this comma-delimited
list with a mapping table, where each row in this mapping table
contains a reference to the main table as well as a single
publicationID.

Reference field value disappears on the Receivables transaction line window

I have below problem while creating the manual invoice from Receivables.
when i am trying to utilize the reference field on the Receivables transaction line,
so that it can be used to enter extra data for manual invoices.
At the moment if you enter data in the file and save it . it was visible.
Again when i re query the transaction then it disappears.
Kindly some one suggest me how to view reference field value from Transaction line and as well as from back end in which column of Trx table i can see the data. Please help me to resolve the issue.

Where can we validate the MANDT field in a database table.

In any database table we will be having MANDT field. In the program while populating the table we never populate the field MANDT. But still in the database table, it automatically takes the current clinet number.
Could any body tell me where can we validate this. I have a requirement in my program, in which I need to populate one of the field with one constant value.

the client is the special field for all the master tables...
for validating the field you need to do like this..
