File archive and sender namespace

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement where xml generated from the system has a namespace urn:microsoft:abc, where as my namespace in the scenario is urn:name:objectname
How can I read this file using sender file adapter??
It throws an error ....
Also, once the file is read I want to archive it in the directory..how can I do this??
pls share ur thoughts

Hi Ravindra,
>>How can I read this file using sender file adapter??
Where the error is thrown in Sender Communication channel? If yes then try using XMLAnnonymizer Bean

There is a option to archive files (both successful and faulty) in Sender File adapter

  • Http - file - problem with sender namespace

    Hi,
We are receiving data via http. When I'm testing the flow throught a http-testapplication everything runs correct and when I look in "monitor for processes xml messges" the namespce is the right one. But when the customer sends testdata via a web dispatcher the sender namespace gets all messed up. I get urn3Asd3Awms with is an incorrect namespace. Does anyone know what the error can be.

    Hi,
They are now sending text/xml but i still get the same error. According to the sender they are using the exact same http-link that I am providing (and which is working for me) but i still get the error with an incorrect namespace.
Barry; it seems to be as you say that the characters are converted into html on the way to xi.
Sarath; i'm not using the namespace in the payload. What du you mean by the escape characters? Do I use them in the http-link?
    Please help!

  • Hard drive error - Corrupt files - Archive and Install?

    Hi
I have been using Onyx for a while and last week it asked me to reinstall the Snow Leopard disc.  I verified this in Disk Utility first and that also advised I had corrupt files.  I installed the disc and all seemed fine when i checked again in Disk Utility.  But now a week later I have the same problem and not sure whether it is a problem with 0SX or my hard drive.  My mac pro is still under Applecare and they advised tonight that I should do another archive and install and if does not fix then to take the machine into my local Apple store.
Red part of Error message is - Invalid volume file count - it should be 362310 instead of 362313 and Invalid volume directory count - it should be 99776 instead of 99773.
The volume Macintosh HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.  - Error: This disk needs to be repaired etc.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem.  I use Aperture 3 & Final Cut Express and until recently had problems getting the two to work together until Applecare helped.
    Many thanks
    Matt

Other people have certainly experienced a corrupt HFS volume header, which is what you have, or did have. It should be a very rare occurrence. If it happens frequently, then your drive is probably failing and should be replaced.

  • Data files archival and poling interval in XI

    Dear Experts,
I appreciate if you could help me to know the best options for the below
    1. How many days is ideal to keep the archived data files in XI
    2. What is the best option for file polling interval in file adapter.
    Thanks and Regards.
    Yerragadda.

    Hi,
    1. How many days is ideal to keep the archived data files in XI
--> It depends upon the volume of data fiels archived as well as the importance of those archived data.
Instead of archiveing it on XI server, its better to maintain the archived files on some host (FTP). On sender side file adapter you can give the another path/location to maintain the archived files.
    2. What is the best option for file polling interval in file adapter.
---> Polling Interval will be set when you need to pick the file and sent into XI. i,e when your scenrio is like File-XI-Idoc/RFC etc.
You may give the polling interval based on frequency of files, Either you can control the commmunication channels externally also.
While configuring a sender file adapter, a major mistake that we often do is keeping file adapter communication channel polling interval less and in test mode. It is not an error, keeping it in test mode with less polling interval but, often we forget about it, keeping the adapter channel active and it loads the server memory unnecessarily.

  • Receiving files from and sending files to a third party

    Hi
    I have the following scenario.
A third party needs to send me an xml file, which I need to load into the database.
Once the file has been processed, I need to send a success/failure indicator, as well as an error file if necessary, to the third party.
What is the best way of doing this?
    Thanks in advance.

Well, you have two basic options: build or buy
Advantage of building your own solution is that you have complete control over it, you know
exactly what you're getting, you can size it to fit your needs, and it can be much less
expensive than some of the commercial solutions out there (like the ones that start at 500K!)
Disadvantage of building your own is that it may take more time than you have to wait and you
may have some ongoing maintenance (depending on nature of your transactions with your customer)
Advantage of buying an existing commercial solution is that you get a solution right away, it is
often more robust and feature packed than a home-grown solution, and you offload the maintenance burden to the vendor.
Disadvantage of buying is that it can be much more expensive than your budget allows, you could
be paying for more features than you actually need, you've got to go through the whole vendor
selection process, and you've got the risk of having that choice vendor you selected go out of business.
When I mention buying a commercial solution, I'm thinking about a new breed of servers that are being described as "Integration Servers". See also the article: http://www.networkcomputing.com/1302/1302f5.html
There's a bunch of them out there in all sorts of price ranges from $1,000 to $500,000+
If you're looking for an economical solution (about $3,000), check out these vendors: SoftShare (http://www.softshare.com) and Data Junction (http://www.datajunction.com)

  • Attach any file type in the same format and send it thorugh mail

    Dear Guru ,
I have encountered an issue which i am not able to resolve .
The issue is like this I need to upload any kind of file type(such as .txt, .xls, .pdf, .doc, .jpeg, .bmp)
and need to send that file send that particular file and the same file type format attached in the mail.
how i should approch to get solution to this issue.
I have gone through the all prog refered in the code gallry (related to send mail with attachment) but i am not able to find out any prog which is giving guidine line attach any kind of file type from the PC (most of the prog is with either taking filetype .txt, .xls or RAW) and send it via mail .
Need  proper guideline to resolve this issue.... how i should approch to solve this.....
    Thanks & regards
    Saifur Rahaman

    Dear Saha Da,
Yes saha da i know using SO00 or Sap Business Workplace (SBWP) you can send it.
But the requirment is like this it must have to do from the selection scereen of the prog .User can save the path of the file which is residing in pc in a variant and from that variant prog will run in background to automate the process.
We can do it using harcoding the filetype while uploading data from the selection screen.
But we have to provide the flexiblity to the user so that he/she can change to any file or any file path.
I am not pretty sure but i my plan i am thinking 1st i will provide the provision of uploading the file into sap application server and from there we will read the file type , file content and send it to mail.
I know it can be done but right now dont know how it can be done ..... but i will findout...
Can you give me some more guideline reagrding this.
    Thanks & regards

  • Save and Send to Sharepoint error

I'm using Microsoft Word 2010 and a sharepoint 2010 site.
And I'm having troubles with file locations when saving files back to sharepoint library.
First, when I open a file from sharepoint site, edit and try to save, the default location is not the location of the library the file was at.
If I try to do 'File>Save and Send> Save to Sharepoint' and select a recent location,
or if I click onfind location, I get the following error message:
    Could not Find http://xxxxx.xxx/DocumentLibraryA/FolderA
The only way I'm able to save is via 'File>Save as' and input the url on
    the file name field.
This issue is not happening with every computer I try to open files from sharepoint. On some other computers, I am able to open the file from the library and it comes with the default location, and if I do 'File>Save
and Send> Save to Sharepoint', it opens normaly.
Does anyone knows how to fix this?

    Hi,
Please try to add the "Desktop Experience" feature in your computer.
Go to All Programs –> Administrative Tools –> Server Manager. Choose Features –> Add Features
Next, check the "Desktop Experience" feature. On the popup, choose "Add Required Features".

  • File saveAsOpen and Base64 encoding...

In order to send the activeDocument to a web service, i need to save is as a file image, and send in an xml format.
Thus, i also need to encode it in Base64.
At this point everything is OK.
But between the saveAs of the file, its reopening, and its encoding, its corrupted.
I receive an error on the Mongrel server.
The Base64 encoder seems to work well, the rest of the code seem to be also ok, so I think my problem is either I do not save it correctly, either i do not reopen it correctly...

  • Strange Problem in File Archiving - Sender FTP Adapter

    Hi,
The scenario is file to IDOc. XI has to read the input file from client FTP server and archive it to XI local file server.
File is archived properly without FCC (for xml files). But with FCC, the sender FTP adapter is archiving empty files (0 kb files) not the original file with data.
I've checked SXMB_MONI, even there I can see the file data and the IDoc is getting posted with proper data. But, the archived file is empty. Not sure about the problem.
    Please suggest. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Joe.

    Hi,
I've already tried archiving the file to the FTP server itself, it's working fine (even with FCC). But, when I try to archive it to the XI server (read from FTP and archive at XI server), it's writing empty file to the XI archive directory. I'm using PI 7.0 SP 14. My sender FTP adapter dtls follow
    Data Connection: Passive
    Timeout Secs: 500
    Connect Mode: Permanently
Transfer Mode: text and binary tried both
File type: text and binary tried both..
    Looking out for a solution.
    Thanks,
    Joe.

  • Sender File adapter and duplicate file processing

If I set the sender file adapter to delete or archive and when a file gets picked up and processed, this file will not get deleted/archived unless it was successfully processed.  However, if it errors out during processing, the file remains but it's message will get persisted in the integration engine or adapter engine.  Since there's automatic retry, we have the potential for duplicate processing as in addition to the retry, the file is still continously polling for this file.  In other words, how do we stop this duplicate file processing?
    Thanks.

    Hi Bevan,
However, if it errors out during processing, the file remains but it's message will get persisted in the integration engine or adapter engine.
your file wont get deleted unless adapter engine sucesfull pickups. if does not picked up at adapter engine then is not stored in adapter engine . if it reached Intergation Server and failed their then file would be deleted.

  • How to add document name and document namespace to xml mail sender msg

    Hi,
I have set up a sender mail CC that accepts messages already in XML format. However, the messages are missing the document name and document namespace. I am trying to use MessageTransformBean to add these to the message payload. However the examples I've found so far all talk about converting plain text coming in. When I used convertionTpe -> SimplePlain2XML it messed up the original content with unnecessary xml tags.
Can someone please tell me how to insert the document name and namespace into the payload without converting the original xml content? Thanks in advance.

Dont think there is a way.
As the source is a XML, why dont you create the MessageType with the same name and namespace as the XML file in the email.

    1. First SOA will create an archive file of those 3 attachements and then file adapter will poll for that zip file in that location and send that file as a whole to the custom application.
    Query:
Now my question, is the above design feasible? If so, how to configure the file adapter to pass the file as input to that custom application?
    Kindly do the needful
    Thanks,
    Priya

You can accomplish this via java embedding activity...Create a java embedding, which will create a zip file.. this java code is easy to implement..
You can also do away with un-necessary polling file adapter.. and you can use "Synchronous File Read" operation of File Adapter.. For Sync Read, you'll have to pass the zip file name, which you can easily fetch from java embedding activity..
Let me know, if this doesn't work.

  • File adapter: Additional files option and Archive option

    Hi all!
I configure file adapter to take file with two additional files. Additional files is optional. Also I configure to processing mode to archive.
So when I put all three files in folder everything works fine - all files are archived.
Problems begins when I put not all additional files for example:
    1) when I put one main file and the <b>FIRST</b> additional file, files are archived, in communication channel monitoring i see error in message java.lang.NullPointerException, but message with payload transfers to IE successful.
    2) when I put one main file and the <b>SECOND</b> additional file, the main file archived, the SECOND  file <b>NOT</b> archived and stayed in source directory. In CC monitoring I see error message java.lang.NullPointerException, but message with payload transfers to IE successful.
Please provide me with some solution, because I need to archive all files.
    Maxim.

in file sender CC, thr is option to archive and error file store also..
1)under processing mode - archive.. give the path thr..
    2) To archive source files where a permanent error occurred during processing, select Archive Faulty Source Files
