File_datastore not indexing correctly (oracle version 10.2.0.1.0)

Problem:
(1) Created an index on a VARCHAR2 column that contained text from a given file (single row).
Used direct_datastore to create index.
Selected count(*) from the index and received a count of 109.
(2) Created an index on VARCHAR2 column that contained a file location for a file on the file system which contains the same data as in (1).
Used file_datastore to create index.
Selected count(*) from the index and received a count of 17.
The data that is getting indexed is Arabic.
Index for direct_datastore works as expected when performing a query but the file_datastore does not.
Any ideas why the files are not getting parsed correctly and what I could do to resolve?
Database properties
NLS_LANGUAGE = AMERICAN
NLS_CHARACTERSET = AL32UTF8
NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET = AL16UTF16
Commands used to create indexes:
(1) create index globaldoc_index on globaldoc(text_data)
indextype is ctxsys.CONTENT
parameters ('datastore CTXSYS.DIRECT_DATASTORE,
filter ctxsys.null_filter, lexer world_lexer, languange column language,
charset column characterset')
(2) create index globaldoc_index on globaldoc(filepath)
indextype is ctxsys.CONTENT
parameters ('datastore CTXSYS.FILE_DATASTORE,
filter ctxsys.null_filter, lexer world_lexer, languange column language,
charset column characterset')
Data in table globaldoc:
language = ar
characterset = AL32UTF8

Can you try the the second case with Auto Lexer?
create index globaldoc_index on globaldoc(filepath)
indextype is ctxsys.CONTENT
parameters ('datastore CTXSYS.FILE_DATASTORE,
filter ctxsys.null_filter, lexer auto_lexer, languange column language,
charset column characterset')
Auto lexer should determine the language of the document automatically.
Also, you can create your own lexer specifying the language of the lexer and use the same while creating the index.

    - Server name
    - Filename
    - Date/Time
    - Browser + Version
    - O/S + Version
    - Error Msg

    This is pretty old. From the certify matrix, you can see the last available versions this platform supported were 9.0.1 and 8.1.7, just for the Intel SCO Open UNIX 8 with LKP. SCO 5.0 last time I used it was with an Oracle7.3 release. In case you don't have software it'll be hard to find, unless you address this to your Oracle Representative.
    Are you absolutely required to run on this version? Otherwise, you could try new software and new oracle releases, unless you want to run unsupported.

  • [SOLVED]find command not working correctly new version of findutils...

    After upgrading my findutils from 4.2.33-1 to 4.4.0-1, it is not working the way it used to. I downgraded to the old one and it is working fine again. However, I am wondering why the newer version can't do what I want it to...
    Typically I run the following script to apply mp3gain to my music collection (albums and individual songs):
    #!/bin/bash
    echo Albums...
    find . -mindepth 3 -iname '*.mp3' -execdir mp3gain -k -a {} +
    echo Single tracks...
    find . -maxdepth 2 -iname '*.mp3' -exec mp3gain -k -r {} +
    On the old version, for the albums, the "find" function works as expected by examining the entire album before applying gain. With the new findutils version, the albums are being analysed song-by-song. I suppose since the new version of findutils, there is just a different method to do what I wanted before with -execdir. Does anyone know how to do it on the new version?

    Cool. Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up going with...
    #!/bin/bash
    echo Albums...
    for album in */*
    do
    cd "$album" > /dev/null 2>&1
    if [ $? = 0 ]
    then
    mp3gain -k -a *.mp3
    cd ..
    cd ..
    fi
    done
    echo Single tracks...
    find . -maxdepth 2 -iname '*.mp3' -exec mp3gain -k -r {} +
    exit 0

  • Pooled Connection not supported in oracle forms 11g

    Dear all,
    I am using oracle from builder (11.1.1.4) and oracle database 11g Release 2. I can connect to the database from oracle forms 11g, when I use a dedicated or shared server connection mentioned in the tnsnames.ora file . But I want to use the oracle database 11g's new feature DRCP (Database Resident Connection Polling).
    To do this a made a another POOLED connection (SERVER=POOLED) in the tnsnames.ora.I can connect to the 11g r2 database server from sqlplus using POOLED connection. But when I try it from form builder (11.1.1.1.4) it gives error with some unknown characters.
    Then I tried it in linux frmcmp the message i got in terminal is can not *"Cannot obtain ORACLE version number"*
    I have googled and also checked in metalink. But I got nothing.Thanks in advance for your help.

    I don't think this feature is feasible for forms.
    Quoting the documentation from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/manproc002.htm
    Database Resident Connection Pooling (DRCP) provides a connection pool in the database server for typical Web application usage scenarios where the application acquires a database connection, works on it for a relatively short duration, and then releases it.
    Forms keeps a permanent connection to the database, so a connection pool isn't gonna help you in any way.
    cheers

  • 'The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client' exceptio

    Hi
    I installed ODAC-11.1.0.7.10 Beta on my development system and developed a .net application which uses Oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect to Oracle10g database.
    the application is working fine, means opening connection successfully when I run it from my development system. but the same application is throwing
    'The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client' exception when I run it on my 10g database server system.
    what I need to do to run the application successfully on the machine where 10g server exists?
    any help is appreciated.
    thanks,
    harry

    Hi Harry,
    I am not sure why you installed 11.1.0.7.10 Beta as 11.1.0.7.20 has been released and you should not be using the beta at this time. That error message is because the dependencies being loaded by the process are the wrong version. When you deploy an ODP .NET application using 11.1.7.x, you need to make sure you deploy it to a machine where the 11.1.0.7.x dependencies are installed. My guess is if I read your poat correctly is that Oracle.DataAccess.dll version 11.1 is loaded but its finding 10.2 dependencies on the target deployment box.

  • VS2010 with Oracle 11g Release 2 giving Package did not load correctly

    Hey ,
    I had a Oracle 11g Release 1 11.1.0 installed on my machine. I had a client and over that a installation for Visual Studio tools for VS2008 installed. So in the directory of 11.1.0 I had two folders of Client 1 and Client2 . I was able to use the tools in VS very well and everything was perfect.
    Recently my company has decided to shift to VS2010. Now when I installed Oracle Release 2 11.2 client, it worked perfect ( tested using toad ). But when I install the tools ODTwithODAC112012, it has an issue that when I fire up VS2010 and try to add connection, it gives an error popup saying : " The 'Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET' package did not load correctly. It asks me load VS in log mode and see the Activity log. The Activity Log gives the following entry :
    <errorinfo>Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.VsDevTools, Version=4.112.1.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.</errorinfo>
    </entry>
    The assembly Oracle.VsDevTools is loaded in GAC which I've checked . So, questions in my mind :
    a. Can we have both 11.1 and 11.2 in the same machine, is that the issue?
    b. Any solution to solve this issue. Both the setup's go smoothly without any errors. Also I am able to connect to oracle very easily using toad.
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Sumit

    You'll probably have better luck posting this over in the ODT forum, but be sure to check the Package Load Failure sticky at the top first..
    Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio
    Having multple versions of ODP installed at once generally isnt a problem but I haven't tried a situation where I've tried to have multiple ODT's at once.

    my laptop will not open iTunes, as it just says 'This version of iTunes has not been correctly localised for this language. Please run the English version'. I have not synconised my iPhone 5S or iPad 2 with iTunes for well over a year. I noticed the music which had previously been put into iTunes has dissappeared from my phone and iPad. Hi Shelady,
    Try downloading and reinstalling the latest version of iTunes from the first link below. If that doesn't do it, the suggestions in the second article should resolve the installation issue.

    Hi,
    Often the error "The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client" is raised when the unmanaged dll OraOpsX.dll can't be found, can't be loaded, or is the wrong version. For version 10.2.0.x of ODP.NET and .NET Framework 2.x the file should be called "OraOps10w.dll" and should be found in the %ORACLE_HOME%\bin directory.
    Since the ODAC pieces are installed on the same host as the database, are they in a separate Oracle Home or the same Oracle Home as the database software? If there are multiple Oracle Home directories, which one is in the system path first?
    I would start with verifying the version of OraOps10w.dll and the system path on the server. You might also confirm that the Oracle Home directory (and everything under it) has the following permissions for Authenticated Users:
    - Read & Execute
    - List folder contents
    - Read

  • The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client

    We are running Server 2012 64 bit with multiple homes one is 32 bit and the other 64 bit. We installed the 64 bit first then the 32 bit next in order to get our Classic ASP WebSite that is using COM+ and OLEDB to see the provider.
    C:\oracle\product\12.1.0\x86
    C:\oracle\product\12.1.0\x64
    The other Websites are ASP.Net 4.0 and are running in 64 bit application pools. They are using a DAL .Net assembly built x64 with a reference to the 64 bit ODP.Net version 4.121.1.0 in C:\oracle\product\12.1.0\X64\client_1\odp.net\bin\4.
    I also see there is another folder C:\oracle\product\12.1.0\X64\odac_1\odp.net\bin\2.x with version 2.121.2.0. We are on running Framework 4.0 but when I switch to this version it works but with the version out of the bid\4 we are receiving the following error when the 64 bit Websites call the assembly:
    The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client

    I have not been successful in getting this to work after spending endless hours, so any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Oracle Client/ODP build with certified Visual C++ Libraries so application using ODP.NET requires "runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries" to be installed.
    Oracle Database Client installation includes the Visual C++ Libraries but ODAC doesn't contain these libraries which may cause such issue.
    Please check the Note 43208.1 for the particular version of Visual C++ installs with Oracle Database Client installation(e.g. 11.2.0 Database Client installs  Visual C++ .NET 2005) and also you can refer the windows event log error massage to verify which version of Visual C++ is missing.
    thanks and regards

  • ITunes will no longer download. It says it has not been correctly localized for this language, and to run the English version. How do I do that?

    My iTunes will no longer download.
    All of a sudden I get the message "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version".
    How do I fix this and run the English version again? .

    Start by trying to repair iTunes from the programs and features control panel.
    Otherwise, for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
