File name mystery - works in BeanShell - but not in plain java

I have added a step in a KM with the following:
<%
import java.io.*;
try
FileWriter tempFile = new FileWriter("newSourceTableList_"+odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")+".txt");
tempFile.write(newSourceTableList);
tempFile.close();
catch (Exception e)
out.println(e.toString());
%>
When it executes it gets the following error: "java.io.FileNotFoundException: newSourceTableList_2778001.txt (The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect) "
If I put the exact same code in a step using Java Beanshell technology - the file is written correctly. Is the working directory set differently for the different technologies?
Why does this not work in plain Java technology??

Sorry for the delay - other projects stole my time.
I tried this and it produced a parsing error when executed: (looks like the parser is doubling the backslashes - the KM only has one - maybe causing more problems?)
BeanShell script error: Sourced file: inline evaluation of: `` import java.io.*; out.println("Checkpoint 2 [" + newSourceTableList + "]"); tr . . . '' Token Parsing Error: Lexical error at line 7, column 12. Encountered: "\\" (92), after : "": <at unknown location>
BSF info: get computed source table names at line: 0 column: columnNo
import java.io.*;
out.println("Checkpoint 2 [" + newSourceTableList + "]");
try
FileReader(\\u0022newSourceTableList_\\u0022odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")\\u0022.txt\\u0022); FileReader.read(newSourceTableList);
FileReader.close();
out.println("Checkpoint 3 [" + newSourceTableList + "]");
File tempFileObj = new File("newSourceTableList_"+odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")+".txt");
tempFileObj.delete();
catch (Exception e)
out.println(e.toString());

  • Relinking to modified file names is working in CS3 and not in CS2

    We are trying to remove a few characters identified as illegal(cannot be used in the file names in Windows) from the file names and then modify the InDesign layout files to relink to the modified file names. We are using the InDesign CS3 server to open up the application and work on the layout files using Java and CORBA mode(used CS3 SDK). First we remove the illegal characters from the file names. Next we will go through all the links in a layout file and will identify the links with illegal characters and relink it to the modified files. The relinking will happen to only those files which has a state NORMAL before the file names are modified. This approach works fine for the CS3 files but for CS2 after the file names got modified the link rolls back to the file path on the original m/c where the link was created and the relinking is not working.
    Have anyone did something similar to that, if so can you provide with some details on how to address this issue.
    Do let me know if you need any more specific information for providing your inputs to address this issue. Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks. I got it resolved by saving the document by passing in a OptArg.makeFile() instead of OptArg.noFile(). I modified this based on what I read from Adobe Livedocs which said that any CS2 file opened in CS3 will be converted to CS3 and will be considered as a new document.

  • AVI File's audio working in VLC, but not in Premier

    Hello all,
    I recently recorded some video game footage with a capture software called D3Dgear. I have included an image of my recording settings below.  So, I recorded said footage w/ audio as well as microphone input in audacity separately. Microphone input audio works fine, but when I input the video file, the game audio is not audible. The track isn't muted or the volume isn't low at all.  When played in VLC the game audio is audible so i am incredibly confused by this.  Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello Sir,
    I received your replies and I'm extremely sorry for the inconvieniences you have faced with the mail server. From now on I will use this forum for any of my queries. I sincerely apologies you and this is what i received from your mail
    I'm assuming you've installed WSDD. From that install directory:
    wsdd5.0\ive-2.2\runtimes\palmos50\arm\midp20\prc\
    You need to hotsync:
    J9JavaVMMidp20.prc
    pimop.prc
    You can't use the 'ia32' versions of the PRCs. The large PRC listed above will decompress into the correct separate PRC's on the device. This is done because we had to get
    around the 64k hotsync limitations and also to install the ARM natives.
    OK, as you have suggested I navigated to the following directory
    \wsdd5.0\ive-2.2\runtimes\palmos50\arm\midp20\prc
    There I have found some more PRC files in addition to what you have suggested. OK, Do I need to HotSink only the following PRC files to my device or do i have to HotSink some more PRC files along with the following. If so, please let me know which one are they and from where to get them from WSDD 5.7.1 (either from ARM or IA32)
    1. J9JavaVMMidp20.prc (under ARM)
    2. pimop.prc (Under ARM)

  • Adobe Reader does not recognize file name (filename10.5.11.pdf) but does in Adobe Standard 9.  Why?

    I post documents to our Intranet site and found out recently that Adobe Reader does not recognize certain file names in PDF files.  For instance,  when trying to open a PDF file with the name
    filename10.5.11.pdf  in Adobe Reader, the web browser will not open the PDF and the display is blank.   When I'm using another computer with Adobe Standard 9, I do not have a problem opening the file.
    I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar issue and why Reader will not recognize the file name and Standard does.

    The version is Adobe Reader 10.1.0    I will request the latest version
    and let you know if that fixes the problem
    Actually I had changed the name of the file so our associates could access
    the file (changed the  .  to a hyphen)  It still made me wonder why Reader
    wouldn't open it at that time.
    Thanks again for you assistance and I will let you know if this resolves
    the  issue.
    Regards,
    Susan

    Hi Susan,
    Thanks for providing the information.
    Could you also let me know what is the exact version of Adobe Reader on
    your system. You can check the same y clicking on Help > About Adobe
    Reader X.
    In case its not 10.1.1, please try updating to the latest version and see
    if the problem persists.
    Also, does any other PDF with a different filename open in Internet
    Explorer correctly?
    Thanks
    Ankit

  • Link works on mac but not on pc

    Hi -
    I am trying to insert a jpg into a dreamweaver file.
    I then upload the html file along with the jpg to my server in a folder called "layout"
    So the url is:  http://www.mysite.com/layout/test.html
    The link works on mac, but not on pc's.
    Any idea why?
    Some links work on pc's like this, and others don't.
    Thanks- It's driving me crazy!!

    The link is not correct....you have it listed as" mysite.com", which I assume is where you are to insert the name of your url.

    I am not sure...but have you heard that NS 6/Mozilla are use based on standards. So they dod not support some of the proprietary JS/CSS/Misc functionality of IE or NS 4.0+ versions. You can read more about the JavaScript differences on Netscape's NS6 evangism site. Maybe you are missing something. I think I remember reading something about getElementByID/Name ...

    Hello,
    My project works on emulators but not on mobile devices (no image and on Samsung it says "unsupported file").

    Edit: I succeeded to solve it accidentally. I did the following: Sign the jar in Netbeans, clean and build, the jar didn't work, I wiped out the .ks from the jar and clean and build again. Now it worked.

    I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version in Windows 8.1 and when I try to create a .pdf file, I receive the following error message "Acrobat could not open "file name.log" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.  To create a PDF document, go to the source application then print the document to .pdf"  I am going to the source application and printing the document to .pdf yet it's saving the file as a .log file.  After reinstalling the software, I initially didn't encounter this problem but on my second and third attempts to convert files to .pdf format, this error message reappeared.  How do I resolve this problem?

    I have a similar problem which i did not have before...and it exists only in some powerpoint files which i want to print as a pdf file...and i get the same message as above.
    the log says the bellow details...what's the problem and how can i resolve it? thanks.

  • Medical app from Intuit works in IE, but not Firefox.

    Encrypted medical app works in new IE, but not Firefox. Everything works down to the end, and click on "continue" and nothing happens. A tech and I have spent hours on this. Did not work on FF5 or 6. Did not work on old IE, but did on fresh new version with no data files copied in.

    If it works in IE but not FF, then it has nothing to do with the mp3s. More likely it's because of the HTML on the page.
    To start, page is missing DOCTYPE declaration... a MAJOR problem. The DOCTYPE declares which set of rules the browser will use to display the page. Without it, different browsers go crazy or do not work at all.

  • Flash Player works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9

    I've installed Flash Player 10.3 and it works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9. When I look in Manage Add-Ins I see Flash Shockwave but not Flash Player. My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit). Safari is 5.0.5 and IE 9 is 9.0.8112.16421. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player and uninstalling Norton 360. Nothing has worked so far. Can you help?

    Thank you for your reply. Shockwave is loaded and enabled.
    The files in flash directory are: a folder called FlashPlayerTrust: file, flash10q.ocx: file, FlashInstall.log; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.dll; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.exe, file, install.log.
    There is no file: NPSWF32.dll.
    When I test the browsers I get no spinning logo in either Safari or IE9. Safari says: missing plug-in, where I think the logo should be. IE-9 says nothing at the same location.
    Thanks.

    If the third-party support info and help does not get it working for you, you can also use OS X Mavericks recovery or reinstall to repair your startup disk or reinstall OS X 10.9.
    Also Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
    (Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
