File Search Error

Every time I do a file search (on the working set or the workspace) for a string, I get some results,
but the search seems to terminate early when it hits certain files it thinks are "out of sync."
I have checked such files and they have not been modified. The error I get is a mostly empty dialog
that says "File Search (Error: problems encountered during text search.) If I click on the message
(in the "example" application in this case), I get:
Problems encountered during text search.
     Resource is out of sync with the file system: /example/WEB-INF/database.xml
     Resource is out of sync with the file system: /example/WEB-INF/.nitrox.hotdeploy
All I want is the assurance that when I do a search, the results will be complete. How do I
fix this? I am running the standalone preview-329 under Windows XP with no additional plugins
to the eclipse 3.0.0 that ships with the release.
Ben

Thanks Omar Alonso
I will go through it.

  • Web-Disk on OSX 10.9 Give me this error: "Finder got an error: Network file permission error."

    Previously I was using OSX 10.8 and Web Disk was working great.
    Since I upgraded to OSX 10.9 Web Disk Dont Attach to my compputer and give me this ERROR:
    FInder got an error: Network file permission error.
    When I got this ERROR first time I searched GOOGLE and found this link: http://cammodude.blogspot.no/
    And I did:
    To force all connections to be SMB1:
    Open A terminal window
    paste in the following line followed by the return key(should be all on one line):
    echo "[default]" >> ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf; echo "smb_neg=smb1_only" >> ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf
    What the command does:
    Creates a file called nsmb.conf  in your  home directory at the path ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf.
    Adds directives to force SMB connections to use the SMB1 protocol.  This is slower but stable.
    Then I could use Web Disk on OSX 10.9 after executing this command in Terminal.
    But now I restarted my Macbook and now Im NOT able to connect to Web Disk and get the same ERROR.
    FInder got an error: Network file permission error
    After trying 100 times it attaches 1 time but then show this ERROR:
    Can't get <<class cdis>> "my.server.com/2078" of application "Finder".
    If this happen then I can see the files in Finder and see the Contents and Size of files but if I open a PHP file in BBEdit then it shows BLANK.. But actually it is NOT blank.
    Now Im stuck How can I solve this? All help is highly appericated..
    Thank you so much...

    Hi,
    Make sure to chmod the app, something like this :
    chmod -Rf 777  secure_site_WebDisk.app
    (in my case the CPanel provided the app for my OSx version.)

  • File Import Error - Adobe Media Encoder, help!

    I'm at a complete loss. AME worked very well for me for a long time and booting it up yesterday gave me a paralyzing error.
    Upon trying to import an MOV, MP4, and later a WMV, I received the following error:
    File Import Error
    The file C:\Users\tj\Desktop\New folder\SH_GS_PeekPlay_DEMO_720.mp4 could not be imported. Could not open source file. Please check that file exists with correct permissions.
    I've tried everything I can think of:
    1. Moved the file off the server and onto my desktop.
    2. Double checked file permissions (all of which I have)
    3. Uninstalled AE and Premiere to try to get rid of Media Encoder.
    4. Searched for a way to uninstall AME so I could put a fresh install (can't find how to do this)
    5. Manually updated AME
    6. Reboot (multiple times between these steps)
    7. Contact customer support - no help thus far.
    I'm running Windows 7 64bit with Adobe CC and AME 7.0.1.58

    Tried that as well.
    To rule everything out, I had the files placed:
    1. On company internal server
    2. External Harddrive connected through Firewire
    3. Internal Hard Drive (with OS)
    4. Internal secondary Hard Drive (data only)
    5. On Desktop (technically 1st internal drive)
    I have since fixed this by uninstalling every single Adobe application (including Flash and Air) and redownloading and installing each.

  • Ultra Search Error Messages

    Is there any list with all possible Ultra Search Error Messages?

    Hi,
    I was using dbca to create a database after installing R12. Errored out with "ORA-20000: Oracle Ultra Search error" after running 71%. It prompts me "Ignore" or "Abort". Why you run DBCA to create a database after installing R12? Rapid Install 11i/R12 will install the database for you and you do not have to do so manually.
    I checked one of the log files "cloneDBCreation", there is an error ORA-01109: database not open. What should I do?If the above is not valid, please check the database log file for details why the database was not created successfully.

  • Upgrade file pattern error

    Model BEFW11S4
    Version 3
    Firmware 1.2.
    I have connected my Win XP laptop with cable directly to the router, and I am trying to update firmware to version 1.45.10 which should be the correct update for my model, but the upgrade is interrupted with "Upgrade file pattern error".
    I have tried hard-resetting the router before upgrading, but with the same result.
    What to do?

    How are you upgrading the routers firmware? Are you using the router web-based user-interface? If you are then try using this alternate way...
    Go to www.linksys.com/downloads .. search for BEFW11S4 v3 ... then download the Set-up Wizard. Use this to upgrade your router instead. When you run this program, it will ask you for a server, password and then a file. Server is the router IP, password is the router password (default is admin) and file would be the firwmware you downloaded... once you input the necessary info... hit upgrade and you should be good to go.

  • Can't open an acsm file. Error: E_ADEPT_USER_AUT

    Good night everyone.
    I do not know what to do anymore... I purchased an ebook but cannot open the acsm file with ADE. My ID is correct, the computer is authorized, I downloaded the file properly from the store... But every time I try to open the file, this error appears:
    Error getting license
    Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_USER_AUTH
    I'm in Brazil, using Windows 7. My system time and date are correct (for Brazilian standards, of course). I bought the book from an Spanish online store.
    I already tried downloading and intalling again ADE and deauthorizing and reauthorizing it several times. I contacted the store, but they  did not answer me yet... Adobe live chat also could not figure out the problem, and told me to come here try to find the solution...
    I really need to open this ebook, and it's getting very frustranting... Does anyone know what I should do?

    I've seen this issue before with Windows 7.  It could be related to the
    security settings for the firewall that permit certain applications to
    operate through the firewall.  Or, it could be related to the way ADE runs
    under Windows 7.
    Here is one solution to the firewall issue from a post on this blog:
       1. Using the search bar in Win 7, type in "Allow". This should pop
       up the link to "Allow a program through Windows Firewall". Click on it.
       2. Click on the button that says "Change settings".
       3. If Adobe Digital Editions is listed, click it. If it is not listed -
       Click on "Allow  another program.." Find Adobe  Digital Editions and click
       on it.
       4. Click on OK.
       5. Open the acsm link through Internet Explorer.  It should download no
       problems.
    Compatibility under Windows 7 appears to be an issue also.  Here is text
    from another post that discussed what was going on with someone else's
    system:
    I run Windows 7 and had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the
    program and turned off my firewall but ran into the same problem until I
    right clicked on ADE in the start menu and clicked troubleshoot
    compatibility. The wizard switched the settings to the Windows XP Service
    Pack 2 settings and it worked brilliantly.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can someone tell me if there's a problem with my recursive file search?

    I've been trying to get a recursive file search working. I wanted to go through each directory and add every file to a database so I can use extremely fast, advanced file searches through my program. I wrote up this code
    <CODE>
    package myrecursive;
    import java.io.*;
    public class MyRecursive {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    recursiveSearch("D:/");
    private static void recursiveSearch(String x) {
    String tempFile="";
    File dir = new File(x);
    File[] curDir = dir.listFiles();
    for (int a=0;a<curDir.length;a++) {
    if (curDir[a].isDirectory()==false) System.out.println(curDir[a]);
    else {
    tempFile=curDir[a].toString();
    recursiveSearch(tempFile);
    </CODE>
    The code was simple but I didn't think I could write it like this without killing my resources or getting a buffer overload. I ran it and it worked. However, I am running a high end box with 512MB of RAM and a 2.4 GHz processor so I don't know if what worked for me will work on a lower end machine. I was told you should avoid calling a method from itself is this true? How would I avoid it? Should I keep it this way? Any recommendations?
    NOTE: I ran the code through JBuilder. JBuilder has a console built into the IDE and will return a noise and the error code whenever it hits an error. Although my app kept shooting out files it found out I heard a noise a few times. Does this mean anything?

    First the formatting tags should be "[ ]" not "< >".
    I was told you should avoid calling a method from itself is this true?Recursion is a valid programming technique and in fact makes many algorithms much easier to code.
    so I don't know if what worked for me will work on a lower end machineIt may be a little slower but it will still work. Recursion only causes a problem with resources when you have many levels of recursion. On my system I have:
    C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\
    In this case there is only 4 levels of recursion. This is not going to cause a problem. You would generally only have problems if your recusion routine is not working correctly and you get in an infinite loop which will lead to resource problems and an abend.
    In your particular case you aren't even using many resources at all since all you are doing is printing the file name.
    This [url http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=57&thread=435487&start=3&range=1]post shows a recursive routine that list all files for a directory and displays them in a table. In this cause you might have a problem with resources depending on the number of files in the directory. But the resource problem is because of the memory to hold the filenames in the table, not because a recursive routine was used to get the filename.

  • File system error on MuVo TX

    After I transfer files to my MuVo TX FM, and I try to play the music, I get a message "File System Error. I have followed the instructions and formatted again, but I still get the message. Any suggestions?

    This is a post by Surfn, which helped me:
    I've had a similar problem with MuVo TX that is about one year old. When I let the battery run down low, I started having the problem. First what didn't work, then what worked:
    -Replacing the battery didn't work.
    2-Trying to turn it on gave "File System Error."
    3-I am on Windows 2000 OS. When I tried to click on the removable dri've in Windows explorer, it caused that program to freeze up.
    4-When I tried to double-click on "My Computer" and right-click on the removable dri've and select "format," nothing happened.
    5-When I tried to download the latest firmware and install (with the device plugged into the USB port), after a long time of searching it said that no devices were found.
    This is what WORKED for me: I downloaded the firmware NOMAD MuVo TX Audible Firmware Upgrade .0.05 from http://www.nomadworld.com/downloads/drivers When I ran this self-extracting executable, it gave some comment to the effect of "searching for devices." At this moment I held down the pause/play button and plugged the MuVo into my USB port and continued to hold the button down for another 5 to 20 seconds. This was how I was able to finally get it to find the device. At this point I was able to follow the rest of the instructions that were posted previously: check/tick the 'Format Data Area' in the dialog box and click on 'Start'.
    I think I ran the firmware executable a second time without checking 'Format Data Area' in order to make sure the Firmware was installed on the newly formatted flash dri've, but I might not have needed to do that last step.
    This has gotten me up and running where none of the other suggestions worked for me. I hope this works for you.
    I am happy to say that my muvo is working fine now.
    The only thing that I didn't do exactly like surfn described is that I didn't
    press the play/pause button during the detection of the mp3 player.
    I tried pressing the button, but the player was not detected, so I decided
    not to press it and see if it works.
    The player was detected, I selected the "Format data area" option, and pressed
    start. It worked like a charm.

  • VNI-2002 File Operation Error

    I am trying to do an export of a sample database i have running
    on Oracle8i on Windows 2000 professional.
    Whenever I schedule a job, it fails with the message 'VNI-2002 :
    File Operation Error".
    What should I do to elliminate this problem?
    thanks a bunch.

    I have done as follows:
    Verify that sufficient permission is granted to createfiles in the $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent directory
    If connecting from a client, drop the node and rediscover
    I also created an OS user (oraJob) with permissions:
    read/write permissions to the $ORACLE_HOME\Net80 or $ORACLE_HOME/network directory and all of its sub directories, read/write permissions to the $TEMP directory, as described in Oracle Books.
    Updated the preferred credentials with this user on the node.
    Assign IMP_FULL_DATABASE to the DBA role
    Assign all necessary privileges to the IMP_FULL_DATABASE role
    These steps cleared up many things but unfortunately I'm still stuck with a VNI-2002 error, although (according to my logic) I have all the necessary permissions to access the jobq etc. There's almost nothing out in the Internet community relating to the VNI-2002. Apart from sites hosting Oracle Books I have only encountered two (this one posted here) and another via yahoo, complaining about it. None has a suitable explanation, that is one that could guide you onto the real cause.
    So for now I still searching...

  • The file "search.savedSearch" couldn't be saved in the folder "Today".

    The file “search.savedSearch” couldn’t be saved in the folder “Today”. No mention of where this directory/folder is ...
    This is the error message I get every time I try to access 'Open an Existing WorkFlow' in Automator.
    I am just starting to learn how to use this app. I have tried looking for files of this name and even content and have tried to scan my time machine backups but no luck. I realise this must be a working file keeping track of recent files opened by the OS but I have found nothing under System e.t.c. Any help as to how I can solve this would be appreciated.

    I have no idea why you're getting any message associated with a smart folder. When you click on the *Open an Existing WorkFlow* button when launching Automator, you should get a Open dialog window asking for you to drill to the workflow location. The OS supplied workflows are in /Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Automator/Workflows/. Ones you create are where you store them. All I can suggest is to move the com.apple.Automator.plist and com.apple.Automator.LSSharedFileList.plist files out of your user's /Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, restart, and try Automator again.

  • SBBOD on file search

    I purchased MacBook Air 2 weeks ago. It's latest 2010 year version (13" with 4Gb and 256 Gb SSD).
    I experience the problem that I cannot resolve. When I perform the file search - the system enters to "SBBOD" state. The system cannot be restarted except of "power off and on" method. Does not matter what program is used for file search. I tried Spotlight and Midnight Commander. The file search begins and hangs on random file.
    I checked my disk for errors and everything is OK. I launched Apple Hardware test - no problems were found. Moreover - when I switch to Windows 7 (using Bootcamp), the HFS partition is fully readable and file search works OK in Windows.
    There are no error messages in Mac OS Console, except recovery processes after inproper system restart.
    Can anybody please suugest me what to do in this situation ?

    Kappy, Midnight Commander is not related with Spotlight index
    Seems the problem is resolved. Checked /var/log/kernel.log and found that built-in NTFS driver has problems when it's set to R/W mode. First of all it corrupted my NTFS partition and even Windows chkdsk is unable to fix it. When I switched it back to R/O mode - the problem has gone.

    If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
    First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
    At the command prompt:
    Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
    Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
    Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
    Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
    Restart the PC and try another reinstalll.

  • AFP Clients Freeze During "Find File" Search

    I've been having an issue with my 10.2.8 servers for the past 3 months. When one client begins a "Find File" search on a network volume, all of the clients connected to the server sharing that volume freeze until the search is completed. As it stands now, if I don't restart the servers each morning AFP will freeze altogether. So far I've install a fresh copy of 10.2 server on a new machine and copyed the data over but it had no effect. I've seen no errors in network utility on both the client and the server. Any Ideas on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

    Here what I got back when I tried this:
    techs01:~ techs$ sudo mdutil -i on/ZZ01ProductionServer/Hammer
    We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
    Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:
    #1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
    #3) With great power comes great responsibility.
    Password:
    mdutil: unknown indexing state -- on/ZZ01ProductionServer/Hammer
    usage: mdutil -pE volume ...
    mdutil can be used to manage the metadata stores used by Spotlight.
    -p publish metadata for the provided volumes.
    -i (on|off) set indexing status for the provided volumes.
    -E erase the master copy of the metadata stores for the provided volumes.
    -s print indexing status for the provided volumes.
    I then tried erasing the master copy of the metadata stores (-E) and it came back with a message saying none existed.

  • File search - not authorized

    I have system of computers... all with similar setups, about half I can control and observe, but not transfer files. The other half I can control, observe, and transfer file work fine.
    I can not understand why some work and some do not.... same setup.
    When I try to transfer a file, or search for a file the task files and the error it gives is not authorized, however I have ARD'd in with admin access.

    I had a similar problem where I could perform a File Search, but it would fail on at least half of the machines and return a Not Authorized error. What seems to have fixed this problem is to click on the "Rebuild data for report" check box, and this cleared up the problems I was having with a trouble computer that would not return a File Search. I could connect to the computer and control it just fine, but could never get a report back from it.
    Perhaps this might fix your problem?
