FileDialog keeps reappear in Windows after double click

Question

Here's a portion of the code
FileDialog fileDialog = new FileDialog(this,
                    "Choose document from file",
                    FileDialog.LOAD);
            fileDialog.show();
            String fileDir = fileDialog.getDirectory();
            String fileName = fileDialog.getFile();
            fileDialog.dispose();If the user click the OK or Cancel button, the FileDialog works correctly (goes away). But if the user double click the file to open, the code that follows get executed then the FileDialog appears again! It seems that the program never gets out of the function. I don't have any loop enclosing this call so I can't see why it would keep reappearing.
Please help!

Perhaps the button that shows the dialog is located exactly under one of the FileDialog's button?
