FileInfo SDK .jar not working- XMP not in wizard

Hi,
I am trying to install the FileInfo SDK for Adobe Flash Builder 4. I have followed all of the proper steps to install the .jar file in the plugins folder, but XMP does not show in the wizard as a project typer. The correct .jar file is in the plugins folder, it just seems that Flash Builder 4 is not acknowledging it. I tried the same process on another system and it worked fine.
I am on a Mac, running 10.6.3.
Outside of having IT reinstall, I don't know what to do. I have a lot of projects and preferences that I don't want to lose with an upgrade.
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Don

Oracle 10i installs its own JVM, and "fixes" your environment to include it in your PATH and CLASSPATH, leading to all sorts of havoc.
It can be safely removed from PATH and CLASSPATH, by the way.

  • Azure PHP SDK createBlobService() not working - fails at $httpClient = $this- httpClient() in ServicesBuilder.php

    We are writing a PHP application to run in Azure but the Azure SDK does not seem to work when trying to use Azure Storage.  Here is the relevant code snippet:
    $connectionString = "DefaultEndpointsProtocol=http;AccountName=<accountname>;AccountKey=<accountkey>";echo $connectionString;$blobRestProxy = ServicesBuilder::getInstance()->createBlobService($connectionString);
    We are of course doing this at the top of the php file that has the above snippet in it:
    require_once 'WindowsAzure\WindowsAzure.php';use WindowsAzure\Common\ServicesBuilder;
    Everything after calling 'createBlobService' fails.  We dug into it a bit more and found out that the $httpClient = $this->httpClient(); call in the below snippet just kills everything (the call exists in WindowsAzure\Common\ServicesBuilder.php).  If
    we comment out the $httpClient line and everything below in createQueueService(), the rest of the code in the page will be run (we have some echos and stuff so we know it ran the rest of the page):
    public function createQueueService($connectionString)
    $settings = StorageServiceSettings::createFromConnectionString(
    $connectionString
    $httpClient = $this->httpClient();
    $serializer = $this->serializer();
    $uri = Utilities::tryAddUrlScheme(
    $settings->getQueueEndpointUri()
    PS.  We also found a StackOverflow question asking this exact thing but there's no answer to it:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13930880/connect-to-azure-blob-through-azure-website-with-php
    We are at a loss and could really use a bit of help here.

  • FileInfo Custom Panel doesn't show xmp data: flex 3.6, FileInfo SDK 5.1

    Just getting into XMP. Decided to make custom File Info panel for our custom xmp namespace data that will be applying to all our images in our archive.
    Since still on Adobe CS 5.5, got the FileInfo 5.1 SDK. Got the Flex 3.6a package. I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5, java version "1.6.0_37".
    Compiled the "TestPanel" that comes with the SDK. That works. It has a fi:XMPTextInput item that shows the xmpPath="dc:title" dublincore xmp data, i can change it and save it and when i come back it is the changed data. When i look in the Raw fileinfo tab, it is there as i had modified it.
    Now when i add a fi:XMPLabel for xmpPath="xmp:CreatorTool" no data is shown in my custom FileInfo panel. And when i add in my own custom xmp namespace data "mydata" that does not show either. The labels and textboxes are there for entering, but it appears that it is not parsing correctly to find the data to populate what is in the file already. I can type something in but it doesn't save it to the file. My custom xmp data namespace "mydata" data is showing in the Raw FileInfo panel so i know it is there, as i put it there with exiftool.
    I have the required namespace lines in the mxml file for the panel:
    <fi:XMPNamespaces>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="mydata" value="http://example.com/xmp/mydata/"/>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="dc" value="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"/>
    <fi:XMPNamespace prefix="xmp" value="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" />
    </fi:XMPNamespaces>
    The mxml file compiles and the panels load and display so it doesn't seem like it is the source files. It seems like a runtime issue. Since it does show the one  dublincore xmp data it does seem like the panel is working, except for the "xmp" namespace and  my "mydata" namespace. That's got to be a clue but being so new to this it is not giving me any directions to go in.
    Any and all ideas are most appreciated.
    Peace,
    Dan

    For some reason SpeedGrade updated through the Application manager. I tried downloading the updates from adobe's website but it won't install. Prelude's update fails before it can even get started whereas the extension manager does install but it doesn't seem to be updating.
    I've done as much investigation as I can think of and I'd rather not create a new user just to check that out but if I have to I will. How exactly do I create a new user on a mac?

  • IOS Sdk does not seem to download with Xcode.  I am using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.  Why not?

    The IOS SDK does not seem to download with XCode.  There is no IOS template in XCode.  I am using
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 on a Mac mini.  Do you have to pay $99 to get this?

    Another similar one here. I've updated ios7 and usb tethering doesn't work. I use it at my office connecting to a XP machine. It connects, iphone asks me to 'trust' the computer (which I do) and the driver is installed. However the connection shows a status of 'LAN Cable disconnected'.
    However the version of itunes on the machine is a versions back (I don't use itunes on that machine).
    Because the usb tethering is a universal network driver connection then it should still work on any machine even if there is no itunes installed (i.e. as long as hotspot is enabled).
    looking at other forums it appears this is very much ios7 related. Was working perfectly on ios6.

  • JavaFX in Eclipse - A valid JavaFX SDK was not deteted

    I get the following error when I try to start a new JavaFX Project in Eclipse

    My Environment:
    Java 7 Update 1
    JavaFX 2.0 SDK
    Eclipse Indigo 3.7.1 (Plugin from http://javafx.com/downloads/eclipse-plugin/)
    What I tried (but failed to resolve the problem)
    Removed and added the JavaFX SDK so many times
    Created new Simple Java Project and applied later the JavaFX Feature (Fx Script created is displayed all in red/error)
    The JAVAFX_HOME path has been set in Eclipse as "C:/Program Files/Oracle/JavaFX 2.0 SDK" and in environment also.
    Can any one point do I miss anything in the integration steps?
    Do I have to add any external JARs

    After adding the jfxrt.jar, the same error occurred to me
    It shows all the lines in red as well.

    Modal dialog error displayed for me is as follows,
    Error happened while packaging the application. Command Line: [C:\pro.....\javapackager.exe, -src, C:\.....]
    Confused like do I have to use JRE 7 or the JRE bundled with JavaFX for executing the app.

    You should not add j2ee.jar to the WEB-INF folder. I think you should move it to "C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Tomcat 4.1\lib\j2ee.jar".
    Also, it might help to read section 9.7.2 in the servlet 2.3 specification (as stated in the error). You can download the spec here: http://www.jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr053/

  • Why SDK and not just JRE

    Hi,
    I am amazed that for just running a Java application one needs the Java SDK and not the runtime environment only.
    Has Oracle got shares with hard disk manufacturers ?
    Regards

    The reason to require a JDK or our bundled jre+tools.jar is for the plsql debugger. The debugger use the jdi apis which are not included in the stock jre. If you never intend on using the plsql debugger you can use a jre and everything else will run just fine.

  • Why is charsets.jar not included in jre5?

    hi,
    i recently decided to using jre1.5.0_9-b01 and wondered why my application that has originally been developed with 1.4.2_12 doesn't support the cp850 encoding anymore.
    so i browsed the docs at:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/intl/encoding.doc.html
    and found out that beside others the cp850 belongs to an extended encoding set included in lib/charsets.jar.
    straight to the point, there is no such charsets.jar in the lib directory of the jre5 installation.
    as a temporary fix, i copied the charsets.jar from the 1.4.2 installation and my application works fine again.
    so, why is charsets.jar not included in jre5?
    best wishes,
    r.

    It is included...Just not installed by default (in a typical install).
    You can go to "start/settings/control panel/add and remove programs" and select the JRE. If you get the option to modify or change and you have "supervisor" rights to your machine, then you can select the "modify or change" option (twice) and add support for additional languages. If there is a little yellow "1" in front of the drive icon, it is not installed. You must select the option and choose the first option on the drop down list...follow through to finish. Make sure you do not have any browser windows open (or anything else which may be using the JRE such as Tomcat). The install builds the charsets.jar. Good Luck

  • The selected Flex SDK does not support building mobile projects

    I am unable to create a new Actionscript Mobile project.  The new project dialogue gives the error: "The selected Flex SDK does not support building mobile projects."  I tried seting the default Flec SDK both to the SDK included with Flash Builder 4.7, and also to a version of the 4.6.0 SDK (build 23201) with AIR 3.3 SDK overlayed on it, which already existed on my computer.  Both resulted in the same error.  Any ideas?

    Hi ,
    Actionscript Mobile projects use AIR SDK by default in Flash Builder 4.7 . Flex SDK won't be used for Actionscript projects.
    Could you please try creating an Actionscript project in fresh workspace and let me know if the issue still exists.
    Also attach screenshot and error log if any.
    Thanks,

  • NWDS SPS 09: Jars not in external Library - Patch available?

    Hello experts,
    I am facing the problem described here:

    Is there already a patch available? I searched throught Service Market Place but there is only a patch for Developement Infrastructure (DI Build Tool).

    {color:#0000ff}The most i dont understand is why it suddenly cant load the tomahawk.jar. I have put it under web-inf/lib/ folder in my website. could anyone give me any hints.
    {color}
    {color:#0000ff}Thanks you so much
    emmy.ma{color}

    The error you get is probably because you are using <h:selectOneRadio .../> for each radio button. The usage however defines to encapsulate radio options within <h:selectOneRadio> </h:selectOneRadio>
    Something like
    <h:selectOneRadio value=${form.radio}>
    <f:selectItem itemValue="HighSchool1" itemLabel="itemLabel1" />
    <f:selectItem itemValue="HighSchool2" itemLabel="itemLabel2" />
    <f:selectItem itemValue="HighSchool3" itemLabel="itemLabel3" />
    </h:selectOneRadio>
    Hope it helps...
    cheers

    Hi, I'm an end user and am trying to find help with the below error. The Tripplite support said it's a java problem.
    Can anyone please give me any suggestion on this problem?

    Looks like you are using gcj, not Sun Java.
    I don't know if gcj supports the '-jar' syntax.
