Files I need to keep on the sys volume

I just noticed that the sys volume on my Netware 6.5 sp8 server is low on space.
so do I need to keep the support pack 8 folder, sys:\NW65sp8 ?
Also do I need sys:\system\backsp8 ?
thanks

Both usually can be deleted without issue.

Support keep telling me to delete and re-enter my car info which does not help. Anyone else seen this issue?
Seems to be something to do with a new security check they have put in the system that does not work correctly and support is totally incapable of helping me out.
wth am i gonna do im feed up and on top i have no one to help me been calling itunes for days now im ****** off to the maxxx

I've been jumping through the hoops with Apple Support on this issue....first time I called they said I should try updating from IOS 4.0 to 4.1....tried that and the issue still persisted...then I called back to update the ticket and get the next steps...they said that the Bank is rejecting the request for verification and that is why it keeps prompting (which doesn't make sense since the confirmation seems to go through successfully). The rep also contacted the iTunes dept and had them run the verify manually and said the bank rejected it. The next hoop they want me to jump through is calling the bank to verify that the account is in good standing and inquire about the rejected requests. I'm fairly certain the bank account is in good standing....will verify of course....but I find it hard to believe that all the people who have posted here, plus countless others that are experiencing the same issue but haven't, are ALL having banking issues in the last 24hrs...I'm more convinced there is a disconnect on the back end between iTunes and Financial institutions...
I'm not sure I buy in to everything I was told...he also told me he has had several calls on this issue and they were all told to check with their banks. He could not verify that any of his past calls were resolved. Needless to say I'm not 100% believing everything he told me....weak response from Apple support on this issue so far.

  • Do I really need to keep all the preloaded apps that came with my MacbookPro 13'' mid 2010

Do I really need to keep all the preloaded apps that came with my MacbookPro 13'' mid 2010? Which one are necessary to keep from your experience. Thanks

Lots of apps are preloaded on a new MBP. Tell us which ones you don't think you need, and we'll tell you whether you can safely get rid of them.
However,  the total space used on your hard drive by all the apps that are preinstalled is very small, and if there's any chance at all that you may eventually want to use them, you might as well keep them handy.
By way of example, my own Applications folder contains everything that came from the factory preinstalled in it, plus 2.5 years of subsequent additions totalling 196 applications of all kinds and sizes. Still, it only occupies 12.5GB of my 500GB hard drive.

  • Xmonad.hs file: I need a template, but the official one gives errors

I just installed Xmonad and I am LOVING it, but I need some help setting up an xmonad.hs file. I created one in ~/.xmonad/xmonad.hs and looked for a well-commented template since I don't know any Haskell (or any programming language, for that matter). This is the one I copied to the file:

  • TS1630 people cannot hear me when they call me in my iphone, what is wrong? it's either I need to keep tapping the phone or they will not hear me

I am having difficulty with Iphone4.  For two weeks now, when people call me or I call them, there are times that they cannot hear me.  At times I need to tap the phone and it will work but most of the time it does not.  What is the problem?  Is this a major problem?

    Hello arendss1,
Thank you for sharing your audio concern with your iPhone 4S! As your wireless provider, we want to make sure that you are able to get the maximum usage out of your device! I would like to partner with you so we can get this issue resolved once and for all! May I ask is there any physical or liquid damage on the device? Also, what software version do you have on the phone? Below are some steps to try to resolve the audio issues.
Turn off bluetooth and wifi in the Settings Menu.
Verify that the headset jack is clean.
Adjust the volume from the Settings menu. (Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts)
Confirm that "Change with Buttons" is on.
Perform a soft reset by pressing & holding the home key & the sleep/wake key for 10 seconds.
Once you have tried these steps then please retest to see if the audio has returned to the device. I would also like to suggest test the device on speaker phone and with a wired earpiece as well. If the issue persist then please advise of any changes as all new information may prove to be beneficial in achieving a resolution.
    Thank you...

  • Frozen mouse- I need to keep unplugging the USB?

My wireless mighty mouse was giving me a terrible lag problem- so I switched it out for a wire USB Apple mouse.
The lag is gone but- I now get a frozen arrow several times an hour and the only solution is to unplug the mouse cable from the USB port (direct into Quad)
and re-seat it. Or I unplug an re-seat it from the extension cable.
I tried switching the USB port- but that does not help.
Before I run out and buy a new mouse- is there something that could be causing this?
    Thanks.

OK I read through the help section.
    I tried most of those.
I have a feeling it's the mouse because I was using an older Apple mouse (the one with the black center) and it worked flawlessly.
I just switched over to the newer, current mouse- (white center) and I have problems.
I'm not even sure why I switched- I wish I just kept the old mouse.

  • Hard drive maintenance - deleting files not needed?

I noticed that everytime I download/install a itunes or ipod update, a new folder is created in
    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations
Each folder contains some very large ipod/itunes related files. Do I need these after I've installed the updater? Can I delete them? Do I need to keep only the most recent? Or can I delete that, too?

You can delete all of them. However, in order to use the 'repair' option in Add/Remove Programs in the event of an error, you may want to keep the latest version of the installers.

  • What files are needed for backup

    Hello all,
Our database stopped working because of a mistake and we've lost lots of our control files and configuration files.
On the other hand there are 5 oracle_homes in our system! So we decided to uninstall Oracle and install a clean version and restore our data, tables, triggers, functions and ... to it.
We have many rman level 0 and 1 backups since 2 months ago and the size of each level 0 backup is around 1.8 GB.
But I am new to Oracle, so please let me know which files I need to keep from our current Oracle before uninstalling it and how I can restore backups to the new oracle (probably I will install it in a new drive not in D:/ again and with a new SID maybe). Also please let me know which version I should install? (Desktop Class or Server Class) We have some applications on our own laptops which connect to server and retrieve/insert data from/into oracle database on the server.
Our current database does not mount and open because of the problems I mentioned above.
Our server is: Windows Server 2008
    Oracle Version: 11g
The scrips the we used to create rman backups are:
    echo database backup, level 1
    echo %DATE%
    echo %TIME%
    set datetimef=%date:~-4%_%date:~4,2%_%date:~7,2%_%time:~0,2%_%time:~3,2%_%time:~6,2%

This is were our sourcefiles were:
    Post Office:
    Source database path: \\fileserver\VOL1\DATA\GRPWISE\P006\
    Destination path: /var/opt/novell/groupwise/mail/p006
    Agents:
    Post Office Agent:
    Path to startup file: \\fileserver\SYS\SYSTEM\p006.poa
As you see, our startup-file was on another volume then the postoffice.
In the migration-log we only saw a mount of the postoffice-volume, so we
think there is a bug in the migration utility. It does not copy the
startup-file if it is on another volume (in this case on the SYS-volume).
    Or did we something wrong?
At last we solved our problem by copying (and editing) a startup-file
    to /opt/novell/groupwise/agenst/share/
    Regards,

It happens between the full dbcopy and the incremental dbcopy, when the
    agent is configured.

  • Need to Keep track of last prompted value

I have a requirement. I need to keep track the last prompted value.
Like, If we have run a report for '01-01-2013' date and 'Sony' Category. If the same report I will run in next time the report should run with those default value ('01-01-2013' date and 'Sony' Category). That means default value of a dashboard prompt should be the last prompted value.
Please tell me how to achieve the same.
