FILESYTEMIO_OPTIONS is modifiable or not

Into the Chapter 9 Understanding Operating System Resources,
Oracle® Database Performance Tuning Guide
10g Release 2 (10.2)
Part Number B14211-01
The init parameter FILESYTEMIO_OPTIONS is describe as dynamically modifiable : ""It can be dynamically changed to update the default setting.'
But, in the following doc
Oracle® Database Reference
10g Release 2 (10.2)
Part Number B14237-02
This parameter is described as "Modifiable No", which seems to me as not dynamically change.
This second one seems to be right, anyway.

Modifying the notes on an outlook event I received in ical

My work sent out an outlook event to several attendee including myself. The event went into ical perfectly, no problem.
I was asked to go into the notes section of the event, add some additional words, and then update the changes so it will go out to all the attendees for the event.
I don't see how I can modify the notes at all in the pop up window that appears when I double click the event (I wish there was a larger dedicated window instead of the small pop by the way).
Is there a way to do what I have been asked to do?

I am sorry you're having trouble with sending emails when using public wifi. Let me help out! Are you having this issue when you're not using wifi? Do you know if the public wifi that you're using has any restrictions or limitations? Any error messages? Check with the folks who manager the public wifi to inquire about those areas.

Duplicate class, modifier private not allowed

I can't get javadoc to create doc for any class I make, I keep on getting these errors
here is the class:/**

I've tried using -classpath and -sourcepath with a lot of different weird and wonderful paths (including ., temppack/ and somewhere completely unrelated to Java), i've tried it with a compiled .class file there and not there, i've tried remaning the class and package to random gibberish in case there was a conflict, and now I'm out of ideas.

This is curious.
classes

doc is empty, and temppack contains only Int.java
...but if I run
javadoc temppack -d doc
in the classes folder I get the duplicate class / private
not allowed errorsIf you're using 1.4.1, it has a bug that you might be seeing
that is present in 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 but in no other versions.
I recommend you upgrade to 1.4.2, which fixes this bug:

Modifier final not allowed here

This code does not comile under 1.5 beta2 (it did under beta1 and I think it should)

The compiler said about the following code :

two remarks :
1) In my opinion, this could should compile. A must be tagged abstract by the compiler
and because all subtype of A implements I there is no problem.
2) Note that there is some inconstancies in the compiler message, with the new rule,

"modifier interface not allowed here" compiler error

Consider the following code fragment:

When the customizing is set to "modifiable" we have to set all thesub items to "modifiable".
What is the parameter to make all the sub items under Global Settings to modifiable or not modifiable.
In fact, it is very long and not so interesting to set all sub items each time we are requested to open Customizing.

I think I wasn't precise enough.
As I tried to show in my snapshot, I agree that I can change all the under items but that is my problem.
How to make them ALL selected when you set the parent "Global Seting" to modifiable.

What organizer on your computer are you sychronizing with (Microsoft® Outlook® for example)? Do you get this message specifically when trying to perform a synchronization or a backup?

Unable to Modify Resource Notes and Roles Responsibility in 8.2

I am unable Unable to Mopendify Resource Notes and Roles Responsibility in 8.2. Whenever i click modify it just open new window with some option of font and other on top ribbon but in the main pane i am not able to write down any thing

Did you go to the Resources page itself?
Try going to resources page from Enterprise-Resources and then select the resource then Modify, subsequently in the window opened you should be able to enter the text. It should work it because am also using V8.2 itself.

Is Bridge supposed to sort raw files by date modified? Not on my systems.

I have just installed photoshop/bridge cs5 on two windows 7 systems, home premium 64 bit, one an i3 chip and the other an i7 chip. I was formerly using cs3.
I see that Bridge is not sorting my raw files by date modified like it did before. It sorts jpg files okay. I noticed that the xmp files associated with the raw files, when I hover over them in Windows Explorer show the correct modified date but the thumbnail icon shows only creation date, which I assume is as it shou ld be. Why doesn't Bridge CS5 sort raw files by date modified as it did in CS3? CS3 must have referred to the xmp file modified date to use for sorting, I would think.
I should also mention that the metadata file does not show the correct date modified, but gives the same date as the creation date. Also the thumbnails for raw images that have been modified correctly show the icon that indicates it was modified.
Also, I see that when you hover over a thumbnail in Bridge CS5 nothing is revealed about the file. In CS3 Bridge hovering over a thumbnail showed several pieces of data about the file including anything in the file info.
Is this just how Bridge CS5 works or have I missed a setting somewhere in Bridge or Windows?

was not checked and did result in "hovering"
working. I'm not sure why that's called tool tips, but okay.
I have just installed the software in the last
few days. I almost immediately got an update
notice and installed the update. I thought I was
up to date. Then, just a while ago I got another
update notice. After installing it the sorting
now works. Thanks much. Problems seem to be solved.

Modify itab not working

Hi ,
I am trying to change a field value in itab using MODIFY statement.
The field is a char type and holding '0000000' initially. Now I am trying to change this value to other value. But the modify statement is not working.
like the code is,
data : value(32) type c,
wa-value = value.
wa-name = 'test'.
modify itab from wa transporting value name where id = '01'.
the Name field is getting updated properly with the new value, but the value field is not getting updated... this i sstill showing '0000000'.
Can any body help me on this.

Modified pictures not updated in iPhoto

Hi everyone,
I'm using iPhoto 11(9.3.2) to manage my photolibrary. Best tool ever.
For modifying my pictures, I use the external application Photoshop Elements 10(10.0)
Opening the external app, including the chosen picture works fine. Saving also.
However: if I try to see the modifications I've made (with PSE) in iPhoto: No modifications.
I found out that the modified picture was saved in the 'Preview'-folder (find it through finder)
So: Photoshop Elements seems to save the picture in that folder; not in the 'master' or 'thumbnail', and I don't know why, and how to change that.
Does anyone have a clue, how to solve this?

Hi Terence, thanks for your comment so far.
No what I do is as follows:
In the external editor, I make the modifications.
After that I choose Save from the File menu.
Then this screen appears:
So there is a field named Save as, NO save field. Whether I choose a different name filename, it doesn't make sense.
Now, while I was writing and figuring out the previous sentence, I found out what contributed to the problem:
The initial filename format in iPhoto is *.JPEG
When saving the edited picture in PSE, it automatically calls it *.jpg, so without the E.
If I add this E to the filename, it updates the thumbnail in iPhoto -> Problem solved.
But there is a strange extra to this:
the picture I was modifying was scanned on an HP All-in-one scanner. For these pictures, this problem occurs.
When editing a photo, which comes from either my iPhone, iPad or my Panasonic DMC-FZ38 there is no problem.
So I may come to the conclusion that somewhere in the scanningproces on the HP an 'invisible' tag or flag or something like that is added to the picture which may caus this problem?

To modify or not to modify standard business content

There is a debate going on in my company about whether or not to modify the SBC cubes. One suggestion is if it is necessary to modify them, copy them to create a custom cube and modify that, keeping the SBC in tact for future reference or use (recommended R/3 practice) and others say that doesn't make sense, just modify the SBC cubes-stay away form creating custom cubes.
Is there a strong opinion out there to do one or the other?

If reporting and analytical capability that Lisa needs to achieve is available totally only through SBC std scenario, this question is out of scope!
Then,

What does it mean ?!
First of all, she has to copy only the cube and nothing else (surely not the std objects contained into it!).
Your sentence is valid if related to infosources (and, generally speacking, to extraction-side objects), but not for cube (copying the std to have a custom one to adjust it to specific needs is a common activity).
2.
If in the future SAP comes out with some new version of the same std cube, you have to pay attention to avoid that the new delivered version overwrites the custom one ! It's exactly the opposite !
3.
Upgrade to future release is easier, but what about different requirements that the std content doesn't fit ?

Modified files not updating/syncing

I have CC installed on my work computer and my home computer.
Yesterday at work I copied some of PSD files to my CC folder on my work computer in order to work on them at home last night.
Got home - files synced perfectly.
I opened them right from where they had synced to in the CC folder on my home computer - completed my work and pressed save.
I watched the updated files syc/update.
This morning I get to work - check my CC folder on my work computer and the files are still the original ones I uploaded yesterday - not the updated ones I worked on last night.
Checked the files on the browser version of CC and same problem.
Any ideas?
Would love to know if there is a trick to get the modified files to show up on my work computer this morning so I don't have to drive home and get them.

Modified Servlet not visible

Hi,
I created a servlet & then ran it , it worked fine. After that I modified it so that it should display a different message on browser but its displaying the previous staff. Strangely even if I delete the servlet & then try to access it using a URL , I will see the same stuff which present in the servlet before starting the tomcat. However if I stop tomcat & hen restart it again I will see the modified servlet or error message if servlet not available. How can I get around with this prob of viewing the modified servlet without restarting the tomcat.
